A MORBIDLY-obese teen who tipped the scales at 20-stone has eaten himself to DEATH – after reportedly suffocating under his own weight.

The lad, 17, named only as Fabian M, died while receiving treatment for compulsive eating at a £15,000-a-month Swiss care home.

But his weight ballooned while at the pricey rehab centre after he managed to get fatty takeaway meals, such as pizza and chicken nuggets, delivered to the clinic.

The schoolboy, from Winterthur, Switzerland, was supposed to be losing weight in preparation for gastric band surgery.

Authorities found his body lying on the floor of his room and it is believed he may have suffocated under his own body weight after falling on the floor.

While the tragic case is still being investigated it has been reported that the 17-year-old would not have been able to lift himself up unaided.

Fabian’s sister Dajena M has hit out at the clinic in an interview with Swiss news outlet 20 Minuten.

She said: “Those responsible must be held accountable. He should never die so young, because the authorities fail.”

The boy’s family claim he was “constantly being punished” while being treated at the expensive care home.

His sister says Fabian developed his eating disorder at a young age and would cry incessantly when his mother would leave for work.

He would then gorge on food to make himself feel better and regain his strength.

Dajena said her brother was bullied from a young age over his weight problem.

She revealed that the family would go to desperate measures to stop his ferocious eating including throwing out all the food in the house.

The grieving sibling even claims the schoolboy would lock himself in his room in a bid to avoid snacking.

Swiss Obesity Foundation president Heinrich von Grunigen claims the case is unprecedented.

He said: “I have never seen a case with such serious consequences.

“If the addiction is well advanced, one must forcefully prevent the person concerned from getting food.”
