因為使用了魔法啊。(甜笑)

並不是。

迪士尼世界有29%的區域是容易滋生蚊蟲的溼地，不過為了維持夢幻的世界，迪士尼用了許多方式來控制。

單純的猛噴殺蟲劑並不如想像中的那麼有效，迪士尼以「蚊子監視計劃」（Mosquito Surveillance Program）為基礎，仔細的監控狀況並採取不同對策來處理。

在園區各位置設置了60個誘捕裝置，噴出二氧化碳來吸引並捕捉蚊子，進行分析以確認品種、個體密度、年齡、產卵數等，藉此決定出最有效的撲滅方式。

老鼠帝國不喜歡蚊子！

另外，在園內各處籠飼著被稱為「哨兵雞」（Sentinel chicken）的雞隻，定期檢查其血液來確認蚊子是否帶有危險病毒。

因為雞隻不會成為西尼羅河病毒的媒介。

當然，在每天蚊子最活躍的日出與日落兩個時段，還是會噴灑殺蟲劑，以迪士尼世界來說，包括道路、田野、運河與防火帶等區域，大約涵蓋138公里的範圍。

透過這些控制，雖然做不到完全無蚊，但能夠把蚊子的數量降到非常之低。而當監控狀況提出警訊，例如說出現了腦炎或茲卡熱病例，迪士尼會做出調整，例如說將某些戶外活動改到室內，或是提供免費的驅蚊噴霧。

下次去迪士尼世界的時候，請記得，這是一個沒有蚊子的烏托邦。（顯然不會是蚊子的烏托邦）
