Cancer Horoscope for September 2013

In September everything seems just right. You will have a magical opportunity to travel, and you should take every chance you get to buy a ticket on the rail or bus, or get in your car and enjoy time out of town. The weather will be ideal, a new season is starting up, and you won't want to be tied to home.

The new moon in Virgo (13 degrees) on September 5 will be perfect for spending time in the sunshine. That moon will brilliantly light your third house for two weeks, and you need not go far from home to have fun. Spin your compass and choose a location you love or one that you've always wanted to explore. Over the weekend of September 7-8, you will have an extraordinary opportunity to pack and go. Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, now in Cancer, will be in ideal angle to the Sun in Virgo. You may choose to travel for any reason - fun, love, business, or to see family - and feel certain your trip will be a success. Just be sure to go somewhere September 7-8!

At work, you will be unusually busy. You will have a lot of people around you now, and some will pull you into meetings, others will be sending you messages by email and phone, and at times you may not know which person to attend to first. You'll have to be organized and attentive to hear all the tiny facets you'll need to oversee in the new projects coming in the door. The new moon of September 5 will have a hand in all this activity, so life will start getting hectic just after September 5. That's why taking little trips over weekends may be good for you, for they will help you catch your breath and be refreshed as you step up your game at work.

Your communication skills will come into play too this month, for it seems that this month you will do more than your usual amount of writing, editing, public speaking, coding, or showing off any other of your many communication arts. Again this would come thanks to that vital new moon, September 5 and in the two weeks that follow. You may be attending classes, or you may be handing in an important manuscript. It's prime time to do publicity or an advertising campaign, or to redesign your logo, social media page, or anything else that helps you stylishly communicate the "you" inside. If you enjoy taking seminars, take a look at a brochure this month, as you are sure to find a class that will be just your cup of tea. Saturn will be very supportive to this new moon, too, so the efforts you make in these areas will create quite a comforting stability and help you build your reputation.

If your birthday falls on July 3, you will do exceptionally well under the new moon on September 5 in Virgo 13 degrees. If you were not born near that date, and you have your natal horoscope, look to see if you have a planet within five degrees of 13 degrees of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces. If you do have a natal planet near that degree, that planet will be lit up quite a bit at this new moon and you will benefit.

More travel is likely to take place at the full moon, possibly returning from a trip taken a few days earlier, on September 19. This will be a glorious point to the month, for the full moon will be in enchanting Pisces 27 degrees, and in your ninth house of foreign people and distant places.

Alternatively, on this positive and very encouraging full moon, you maybe finishing up a broadcasting or publishing project. It is also possible that you may be concluding something having to do with a college - you maybe having a final interview or hearing back about your application for a university grant.

If you are hoping to finish up an immigration matter, such as for a passport, visa, or green card, this full moon of September 19 (plus or minus four days) will be your friend. Any matter handled by the courts would come under this house, too, so you have a good chance of being looked upon favorably by the judge and, if applicable, jury. If you will be on jury duty, the case will be solved no later than September 23, but more likely on September 19 or 20. Any kind of legal matter would be favorable, so if you want to file a trademark or patent, do it in September.

If your birthday falls on July 19, or within four days of that date, you will have a double dip of pleasure from the full moon of September 19. If you were not born then, have a look at your natal horoscope and see if you have a planet at 27 degrees (or within five degrees) of Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. If you do, that planet will receive wonderful vibrations, so you will like this point in the month very much - it may be quite special.

One last note: If you didn't take a vacation lately, then try to go in September. October will be filled with surprises, and it appears you will first need to attend to things going on at home, in regard to your apartment or house, or with a family member, most likely your mother or father. This will come due to cosmic storms that will be brewing the first week of October, so you may feel your nerves on edge. The new moon in Libra on October 4 seems to be a stressful one for home and family matters, so wear your helmet. The full moon eclipse on October 19 will bring changes to your career or the people you report to at work, so all around, you seem to have your hands full in October. You won't be able to travel then, so do so in September while you have nothing but blue skies and an open road.

Now let's turn to your career, which is due to bring outstanding celebratory news on or very close to September 13-14. This will be a VERY exciting point of the month, when Mars, now in Leo in your earned income sector, will send a golden beam to Uranus in your house of career honors, awards, achievement, and fame. Anything that happens will come out of left field and will make you so excited! When you get dressed for work in the days leading to September 13-14, look every inch a winner - all eyes will soon be on YOU, quite unexpectedly! This could be a banner time for you - watch what happens!

You'll be spending more money than usual this month. Could it be that you are ready to buy all those new clothes for the brand new season? Good, it's the right time for you to shop because September is such a strong month, and Venus will be in Scorpio, a prime place for you to find madly flattering things. The flow of money out of your checking account will abate on October 15 when Mars leaves Leo.

I am glad to see you won't be shopping after Mars leaves the designer sign of Leo, because on the heels of the date Mars leaves (October 15), we will have a lunar eclipse in Aries on October 19, and at eclipse time, it's better to watch and wait than initiate over those eclipses.

After the eclipse next month, Mercury will retrograde from October 21 to November 10. You should never shop for expensive things when Mercury goes retrograde, and in fact, if I were you, I would stop big purchases at LEAST ten days before Mercury goes out of phase - October 11. Electronic items like a computer, smart phone, kitchen appliances like a new refrigerator, and other purchases with moving parts, like a car, should be made in September, not October, to avoid getting a lemon.

In love, if you are attached, Pluto's turn direct on September 20 in your house of commitment will certainly have a positive effect on you, moving your relationship forward quite decisively. Pluto has been retrograde since April 12 of this year. (Yes, five months retrograde - the typical time this small planet goes out of phase.) If you are divorced, but have had problems dealing with your ex, Pluto's turn direct should help you work together a bit more easily.

If you are hoping to wed, but have been unsure of when and where, those questions will get sorted out from September 20, too. You will see even more development for your wedding in January when you will have many planets packed in your marriage house. Still, when a major planet like Pluto turns direct, it always gives a subtle message of what's to come, so watch carefully for a message in the days that closely circle September 20. You will have to be listening and watching carefully to notice the message, or risk completely missing it. When you hear it, it will be unmistakable!

Venus will tour your house of true love from September 11 to October 7, a wonderful development for you! Venus will add spice and sweetness to your attachment. If you are not dating and hope to be, Venus' specialty is to bring two people together. Venus will bring out your charms and charisma, and if you are shy, you will feel incredibly alluring during that phase. That's why I would love you to pick up some new things for the coming season this month, which all the planets are showing green lights!

One of your best days for romance and fun (and for shopping) will be Thursday, September 26, when Venus in Scorpio will contact Jupiter in Cancer. What a beautiful evening you have in store! The moon will be in Cancer, too, which will be the icing on the cake. If you want to add friends to the mix, you can. Dear Cancer, on this day you can do no wrong! Even news regarding your home (real estate, furniture, family - the works!) should make you want to jump for joy. What a way to end the month!

You have had a lot of matters to attend to in July and August, but having addressed almost all of them, you can cut free and travel. Both the new moon and full moon will make your plans possible. You'll start with short jaunts in the start of the month, just after the new moon, September 5 in Virgo. Some or all of your short, quick trips to cities nearby may have ties to business, as you may be discussing the finer points of a contract. Yet you can travel for any reason this month, and should, because your workaday weeks will be full as many projects will be earmarked for you.

Later, however, within four days of the full moon, September 19, you will get a chance to travel very far, possibly overseas. Romance will be captivating this month because Venus will be in Scorpio, a fellow water sign, from September 11 to October 7. This makes the second half of September the perfect time for a vacation. Put a gold star on September 26, when Venus in Scorpio will reach out to good fortune Jupiter in Cancer, a day just made for love.

Try to travel as much as possible in September, because next month, October, you will be heavily focused on home and family matters, whether in terms of your physical property or the people with whom you share your space. Alternatively you may be focused on one of your parents. Your movements will become increasingly limited in the coming three months, so it would be best to take a break while you can.

If you say you simply cannot leave town near the full moon, September 19, your mind may be on international matters or with a relationship abroad that you are bringing to fruition. Alternatively, you may settle a citizenship or immigration matter. If going back to college this semester, either as an undergraduate or graduate student, you'll see some sort of decision settle near September 19 as well.

You seem to be in a high spending period this month, but thankfully by mid-October, the flow of money out of your checking account will calm down. Your toughest day for making financial decisions or acting on them will be will be September 8 when Mars will meet up with Saturn in a harsh, angular way. You may be forced to delay spending on something you want or need at that time, but only temporarily. "Not now" does not mean "never" dear Cancer.
