大聯盟官方跟球員工會都同意了，美國時間8/1起開始實施

With a number of doubleheaders expected to take place on account of rescheduled
games due to current and potential coronavirus outbreaks as well as weather-rela
ted postponements, shortening games to seven innings was a compromise that came
together quickly.

因應武漢肺炎以及天氣因素延賽重排賽程的關係，預期接下來會出現不少雙重賽，也有討論
到縮短比賽的議題
