Cubs Matt Shaw talked to teammates and Cubs officials about going to Charlie
Kirk’s memorial service in Arizona on Sunday.He explained today they had
become friends the past year and was invited to attend by the Kirk family.

Cubs rookie Matt Shaw says he was invited to Charlie Kirk memorial by his
wife, Erika and got permission from Jed and Counsell. He was friends with
Kirk from Arizona and said Kirk texted him after every win. Also stressed
they connected because of their shared faith.
