(1) @Yankees: Earlier today, the Yankees outrighted OF Bryan de la Cruz off the
Major League roster and onto the roster of Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

(2) @GJoyce9: Mark Leiter Jr. is set to be activated off the IL tomorrow.

Jonathan Loáisiga underwent an MRI today on his back that came back "pretty
clean," so Yankees are hoping he can keep throwing and just spend the minimum
15 days on the IL.

(3) @GJoyce9: Aaron Judge is en route to Texas after two days of live ABs in
Tampa. Boone didn’t want to say definitively that he’ll be activated tomorrow
before talking with him, but seems headed that way.

Possible that Judge also begins a throwing program at some point in the coming
days.

(4) @GJoyce9: Giancarlo Stanton won’t play the outfield during this series,
but Boone indicated it could be in play back at Yankee Stadium.

(5) @BryanHoch: Aaron Boone said the Yankees have reached "gut check time." But
this has gone on for months, not weeks. They're 25-32 since May 29, including
three series sweeps: June 13-15 at Boston, June 30-July 3 at Toronto, and this
weekend in Miami.

(6) @MaxTGoodman: Yankees announce they signed righty Kenta Maeda to a
minor-league deal. He’ll report to Triple-A SWB.

Makes sense to bring in a veteran for some depth after Marcus Stroman was
released and Carlos Carrasco was traded.

Maeda and Allan Winans are now next up if anybody in the rotation gets hurt.
