Delta Air Lines Inc.’s stock shot up toward a four-month high in premarket
trading Thursday after the air carrier topped Wall Street’s estimates for
second-quarter profit and revenue and restored its full-year guidance.
達美航空公司（Delta Air Lines Inc.）的股價在週四盤前交易中飆升至四個月高點，因

The June-quarter results mark a stark contrast with the prior quarter, when
Delta said that growth had stalled amid broad economic uncertainty. Citing a
lack of economic clarity, Delta said at the time that it would be premature
to provide an updated full-year economic outlook.
今年第二季的業績與上季度形成鮮明對比——當時達美表示，由於整體經濟不確定性，業

However, Delta’s newly restored outlook reflects its confidence in its
business, Chief Executive Ed Bastian said in a statement Thursday.

Delta’s stock soared 12% in premarket trading, putting it on track to open at the highest
level seen since March 3.

That helped boost shares of other air carriers: Shares of United Airlines
Holdings Inc. surged 9.1%, American Airlines Group Inc.’s stock jumped 7.2%
and shares of Southwest Airlines Co. rose 3.1%.

Delta’s second-quarter net income was $2.13 billion, or $3.27 a share, up
from $1.31 billion, or $2.01 a share, in the prior year’s quarter. Excluding
nonrecurring items, the company’s adjusted profit of $2.10 a share fell from
$2.36 a share in the same period but beat the FactSet consensus estimate of
$2.06 a share.

Total revenue was $16.65 billion, compared with $16.66 billion in the same
period last year, while adjusted revenue of $15.51 billion topped the analyst
revenue estimate of $15.46 billion.

Passenger revenue was $13.87 billion, compared with $13.84 billion in the
second quarter of 2024. Cargo revenue rose 7% to $212 million and “other”
revenue declined 2% year over year to $2.57 billion.

Load factor, a key measure of how an aircraft’s capacity is being utilized,
was 86%, down from 87% in the prior year’s quarter. Analysts surveyed by
FactSet were looking for a passenger-load factor of 86.5%.

For the third quarter, Delta expects adjusted earnings between $1.25 and
$1.75 a share. Analysts surveyed by FactSet were looking for earnings of
$1.34 a share.

第三季展望：
達美預計第三季調整後每股盈餘將落在 1.25 至 1.75 美元 之間。
相比之下，FactSet 調查的分析師預期為 1.34 美元／股。

達美本季財報表現強勁，恢復全年獲利指引，並強調高端艙等與忠誠客戶收入的成長，
是此次航空股反彈的核心動因。此外，宏觀經濟環境趨於穩定，也為整體產業增添一
份保障。
