Fusion no longer future

The thing that AMD has been talking about for some time is finally reality
and AMD can now change its advertising from "Future is Fusion" to something
that has "today" in the title. AMD has set of its Fusion dream with launch of
the Brazos platform, an entry level Fusion platform that will feature
single-core or dual-core C Series Ontario or the E Series Zacate APUs.

All of the announced APUs are made in the 40nm manufacturing process at TSMC
and feature Bobcat core. They come with integrated DDR3 memory controller,
DirectX 11 capable graphics and a TDP ranging from a mere 9W to 18W. The C
Series works at 1.0GHz for the dual core C-50 and 1.2GHz for the single-core
C-30. Both of the C Series APUs will have the same 9W TDP. The E Series E-350
and the E-240 will both have 18W TDP. The E-350 is a dual-core clocked at
1.6GHz while the E-240 is a single core that will be clocked at 1.5GHz.

Almost every major notebook manufacturer, including MSI, Acer, Dell, Asus,
HP, Lenovo, Toshiba and others, will have its fingers dipped deep in the
Fusion jar and we are sure that we'll see a lot of these in this quarter.
Naturally, you should expect to see CES overrun with such notebooks.
