【Freddy 林昶佐】I visited the helsinkibiennial a few days ago and was so moved by the work of aluaiy_kaumakan Kaumakan, a Paiwan artist from Taiwan.

Her installation Cevulj – Path of a Family at HAM Helsinki Art Museum combines traditional Paiwan weaving (lemikalik) with materials like cotton, silk, copper, and beads. It tells the story of her community’s resilience after Typhoon Morakot in 2009.

Such a powerful and touching piece, don’t miss it! The Biennial runs until 21 September 2025.
