她就會緊緊抱著我說，我知道，我知道。所以我很抱歉。

維生素B3是最近被研究相當深入的一個維生素成分，而且許多的研究都證實它的確具有相當不錯的肌膚保養效能。過去在介紹美白成分的時候有簡單跟大家談到它，今天我將更深入地為大家介紹這個具有相當多功能的肌膚保養成分。
 
維生素B3使用在肌膚保養產品上主要可以有下列三種型態，包括菸鹼醯胺（niacinamide）、菸鹼酸（nicotinic acid）以及菸鹼酸酯類（nicotinate esters，例如myristoyl nicotinate或者benzyl nicotinate）。菸鹼酸（nicotinic acid）對皮膚的刺激性比較大，因為它也會刺激血液循環，因此即使是小劑量的情況下也可能造成皮膚的泛紅，而這樣的泛紅反應可能伴隨著皮膚的刺痛發癢。另外，每個人可能忍受的劑量不一，因此在產品的調製上會比較困難。因此一般使用菸鹼酸（nicotinic acid）來調製產品的機會並不大。有一些菸鹼酸酯類（nicotinate esters）在低濃度下會在皮膚上或者皮膚內水解成菸鹼酸，進而造成皮膚泛紅的情形，因此在選擇使用菸鹼酸酯類（nicotinate esters）成分於產品中的時候最好是選擇長鏈型態的菸鹼酸酯類，例如myristoyl nicotinate，造成皮膚刺激的機會會低很多。所以最常使用在肌膚保養品裡頭的維生素B3就是菸鹼醯胺（niacinamide）了。
 
維生素B3對肌膚到底有甚麼功效性呢？大致上來說，維生素B3是形成人體細胞氧化還原反應中重要輔助因子NAD/NADP的前質。以前在談論抗氧化劑的時候我曾經跟大家介紹過一張圖表，裡頭就曾提到體內自由基形成時，首先是由維生素E來承接自由基的游離電子而將自由基的危害減除，這時候維生素E就會轉變成為氧化態的維生素E，接著Q10及維生素C就會接收維生素E的電子，讓維生素E回復原來的型態，但是Q10跟維生素C就形成所謂氧化態的分子形式，這時候穀苷胺肽（Glutathione）就會協助維生素C回復原狀，而自己再轉變為氧化型態的分子，讓穀苷胺肽回復原來型態的就是NAD/NADP的還原型態NADH/NADPH。因此，維生素B3在人體細胞的抗氧化作用上是相當重要的一個分子成分。

關於維生素B3對肌膚的個別功效，以下是各個研究的結論：

第一：菸鹼醯胺可以抑制皮脂膜（sebum）的產生，尤其是影響三酸甘油酯以及脂肪酸類的形成，因此對於粉刺的形成以及毛孔的改善是有正面助益的。
 
第二：菸鹼醯胺可以增加表皮層障蔽中脂質的形成，尤其是神經醯胺（ceramides），另外對於皮膚障蔽層中的一些蛋白質結構（例如keratin等）也有增生的作用，因此有助於損傷皮膚的修復，而且經皮水分流失的狀況也會得到改善，讓肌膚的保水性大大提升。當然，這些變化也會增加皮膚對外在環境的防禦力，尤其是對於一些長期受到界面活性劑以及化學溶劑所困擾的慢性肌膚損傷，菸鹼醯胺可以提供預防及修復的功能，讓肌膚的發炎泛紅情況減少。
 
第三：菸鹼醯胺也可以抑制發炎性的細胞激素，因此更可以減少肌膚的發炎反應，而發炎反應是引起肌膚老化的主要因素之一，所以菸鹼醯胺就具有抗老化的作用了。另外，因為它能減少皮脂的生成，有能減少皮膚發炎，所以在抗痘方面上也是有相當效果的。
 
第四：菸鹼醯胺可以促進皮膚膠原蛋白的的生成，實驗上的確可見皮膚細紋的改善。
 
第五：菸鹼醯胺可以抑制黑色素小體（melanosome）從黑色素細胞到皮膚角質細胞的傳送，因此可以減少皮膚黑色素堆積的量，所以有美白肌膚的功效。

菸鹼醯胺的黑色素小體（melanosome）傳輸抑制作用。Dynein以及Kinesin是細胞傳輸系統中的傳輸蛋白，人體細胞中物質的傳送就是依靠這兩種傳輸蛋白的相互作用。菸鹼醯胺可以阻斷黑色素細胞裡頭黑色素小體的傳送。
 
 
第六：菸鹼醯胺可以防止皮膚的變黃。人體皮膚可能會因為蛋白質的氧化反應而變黃，也就是所謂的蛋白質葡萄糖化（glycation），這是因為蛋白質與醣類間的氧化作用產生交連性蛋白，這種蛋白質的顏色為黃褐色，當這些交連蛋白積聚在皮膚細胞間質的時候就會形成黃色的皮膚。一些研究指出菸鹼醯胺可以防止這種蛋白質的葡萄糖化反應，所以可以防止皮膚的黃化。
 
 
根據研究，局部使用菸鹼醯胺可以減少皮膚細紋及大的皺紋，當使用8到12個星期之後，效果會更明顯。一般來說，使用2到5％濃度的菸鹼醯胺就可以達到不錯的作用效果，但是因為人體對菸鹼醯胺具有相當好的忍受度，所以即使使用更高的濃度，對皮膚來說還是相當安全。另外，到目前為止的相關研究也指出，長期使用這個成分對肌膚也不會有甚麼危害性。
 
 
在藥妝學的領域裡頭，有許多的成分並不是很有名氣，多數的人也不會很深入去探究與瞭解。尤其近十年來，藥妝領域的蓬勃發展，許多成分的研究結果也陸續被提出來，像維生素B3這樣好的肌膚保養成分其實還真不少，當然這需要有心人士花費時間精力去深入探究，其中藏寶無盡，靜待有緣人去深耕發掘了。
