Being a cardinal sign - Aries, Libra, Cancer, or Capricorn - has become something of a marathon test of strength, courage, and determination ever since the eclipses came by Cancer-Capricorn from December 2009 to July 2011. After those eclipses moved on to other signs, you expected relief, but at the same time, Uranus moved into Aries in March 2011, a thorny place for you, so you began to see that there was no rest for the weary. Uranus is still in Aries, and will be until March 2019. By now you are used to the influences of Uranus as he moves through your home and family sector, bringing change and a need to adjust to new conditions. You are doing great, dear Capricorn, and you should be congratulated.
Now in July, as Jupiter settles into Cancer, you will have new reason to be optimistic. This is a game-changer and a new reason for hope. Late last month, on June 25, Jupiter entered Cancer in your house of partnership, ruling all serious commitments, including those of marriage and all sorts of business collaborations and serious partnerships. Jupiter will remain in this house for a year, until July 16, 2014.
Your seventh house is an important sector, because it lies on a key angle of the chart - the Western point. Planets that move through one of the four angles of any chart are said to become as strong as wild horses, and will always exert a much greater than usual force. This is great news when you have the great benefic (as the ancient astrologers always called Jupiter) in that house - you want a strong Jupiter acting on your behalf. Because Jupiter brings growth, you will likely get exceptional support from the partners you make alliances with in your life from now on. If you are already married, or in a business alliance, then your partner will do exceedingly well this year, and you will benefit from your partner's good fortune.
This is a new element in your chart, as Jupiter has not been in this area of your chart since mid-2001 to mid-2002. If you can recall what happened to you in that span of time, you may get a clue of what is to come. The planets surrounding Jupiter will have continued to change and move into other signs and houses, of course, but you may be able to detect something special that benefited you through the work of a partner or collaborator back then.
More amazing news! Jupiter is said to be exalted in Cancer, meaning he is able to express his very best qualities as he travels through that sign and provide you with the greatest possibilities for personal growth. This is the area - your seventh house of partnerships - that you will learn the most about yourself and the world around you, so you will have much to gain by making various commitments to carefully chosen individuals in your life during the coming twelve months. This would be considered the best year in twelve to marry, so perhaps that happy event will be on your agenda soon. The coming twelve months is a time to not try to do everything in life alone, but to see the advantages of working closely with a person who can bring qualities that you don't have so that you can achieve your greatest life goals, personal or professional.
This month, Jupiter will be flanked by the majestic new moon on July 8 in Cancer (16 degrees), the Sun and Mercury, also in Cancer, which represents quite a bit of planetary power in this one partnership area. Mars, arriving a little later on July 13, will also add a great deal of emphasis through the end of August. Surely, your focus will be here, either to form a partnership or to end one. Jupiter is the happy planet, so you can read Jupiter's influence as you like, but I feel you will be happy.
You may soon get engaged or married, or sign a business partner or collaborator who will become a gem for you. If you are already married, your partner will do well, and you will benefit from his or her good fortune this year. The people you align with now seem to be very willing, able, and qualified to look out for your interests. You may team up with a collaborator on writing a screenplay, or you may hire a new agent or publicist who will work hard to bring your work to the attention of people who matter. Professionals come under the ninth house too, so you may switch lawyers, consult a distinguished doctor, hire a new accountant, or open a shop with a partner who complements your talents. The person may be older than you, or quite established, for Jupiter's presence seems to imbue dignity and experience.
If your birthday falls on January 6, plus or minus five days, this new moon will have a more powerful effect on you than on other members of your sign. If you have Capricorn rising within five degrees of 16 degrees, the same will be true. If you have your natal chart, look to see if you have any other planets at 16 degrees (plus or minus five degrees) of Cancer, Pisces, or Scorpio, for that planet will receive the new moon's direct rays and benefit. To some degree, if you have a planet with the same mathematical tolerances in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, that planet will be sensitized and in line for Jupiter's assistance, too.
Mercury will be retrograde in Cancer now through July 20 (a holdover from June 26), so go slowly. It would not be wise to make any big moves while Mercury is retrograde, for its very presence suggests you don't have all the facts just yet. When Mercury retrogrades, it is also a signal that the world is currently in flux, and conditions are heading in a new direction. You will find out more after Mercury goes direct, but it may take time. You would not want to make any serious commitments just yet - you have time, so slow down. For now, delays will benefit you. You will see the truth of this later.
On the same day as the new moon, July 8, Saturn will go direct, which is very good news for you, as Saturn is your ruler. If you wondered why you were not making the progress you expected to make on many fronts, personal and professional, it may be due to Saturn retrograde until now. A good rule of thumb is this: when your ruling planet is resting, life seems to slide into a kind of limbo. It is a good time to go back and reassess projects and relationships and to tweak what seems to need fixing. Saturn went retrograde on February 18, so watch the days surrounding July 8 for clues that indeed, some key elements in your life will become alive and start click for you, dear Capricorn.
Something incredibly special is about to happen this month that I have been anxious to tell you. A golden triangle of three outer planets will appear in the sky, all in water signs, involving Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces. Your earth element blends beautifully with water - water and earth is very fertile, and produces flowers. You will feel the exceptional harmony of this triangle all month and into the first days of August, but it will be wise to know these planets will be moving into perfect calibration mid-month. When? Let me tell you!
On July 17, Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune will each reach 5 degrees and each will be precisely 120 degrees apart. On the following two days, July 18 and 19, you also have spectacular luck, but my favorite day will be July 17 for you. Considering that Neptune takes 165 years to revolve around the Sun, and Saturn takes 29 years to make the same journey, and Jupiter, 12 years, you see how remarkable it is that these planets are making this rare pattern in the heavens. This golden triangle will benefit for everyone, but the fact that Saturn, your ruler, will be a part of this configuration means you stand to gain a bit more than most. A golden triangle brings enormous harmony and ease, and it will help you achieve aims where you may have previously encountered roadblocks. Make sure you plan something important to your future, like a meeting, on July 17, your best day, or for July 18 and July 19, close runner-up days.
For you, the first corner of the triangle will point to Jupiter in Cancer, in your partnership / marriage house. The second point of the triangle will be on Saturn in your eleventh house of friendship / contacts / people / charities and humanitarian efforts. The third will point to Neptune in your solar third sector, an area that rules short distance travel and contracts. This latter sector also covers sister or brothers, who may also be active in your life this month. Remember, Mercury will still be retrograde on your most sparkling day, July 17, but Mercury will turn direct on July 20, quite soon, so you won't have to wait if you have a chance to sign important papers. I suggest you schedule your signing, if you have one on the agenda, for July 22.
These areas will be linked in some fashion, so look over the list of solar houses of your horoscope that will be involved, and see if you can decide how this golden triangle may help you. Let me give you an example. You may be working with a sponsor (seventh house of partnership) on behalf of a charity event (Saturn in the eleventh house) and need to sign papers soon (Neptune in the third house). Or, in another instance of many possible examples, you may be going on a short trip that seems special in some way, and your mate will come with you, to see friends. This triangle can only be called a once-in-a-lifetime event, so use this opportunity to weave a memory or create an effort of such good that you will be glad you did what you did for all the years to come.
I need to reiterate this point. With all astrological positive aspects, it is important for you to show initiative and take action. Nothing in astrology is predetermined. I can help you plan your actions and perfect your timing, but you have to choose the goal, supply the energy, and clearly show the universe your intent. As they say, "He who asks, gets."
Despite how wonderful this influence for marriage and collaboration is for you now, you still will need to be careful about whom you align with, of course. If you choose an agent now, you may do very well under this person's care, but later, after Jupiter leaves Cancer in mid-2013, you may discover signs, say, that this person has a disreputable reputation. I am making up this possibility to offer you to underscore the importance of doing background checks. Strive to know all you can about the person you are getting involved with in business or in your personal life. Sometimes while Jupiter is in your seventh house, the partner gains more than you. I want YOU to get an equal share of Jupiter's goodies. Jupiter in the seventh house can be quite divine, but you must do your homework first.
Your residence, other property, or a family situation has been an area of concern for some time due to the long visit of Uranus in that solar sector, and this month a series of tough aspects are going to almost force you to again think about this ongoing problem and find new solutions.
The first day when this will be apparent will be July 3-July 4, when the Sun and Uranus will be at hard angles to each other. Suddenly a problem will come up out of the blue and may involve a piece of property or a parent or someone you think of as a parent, most likely a male. This day will require fancy tap dancing, for the news will come out of left field.
The second instance will be July 31, also a day you will need to keep your wits about you. Mars will challenge Uranus, and again, you feel like you are getting another jolt of electricity involving a residential or other property situation, or one involving your parent. If you are moving on this day, do not give the mover's any valuable items like tax records, the family china, or precious jewelry. Work only with a name brand van mover and check their record with a watchdog group like the Better Business Bureau.
Still, try to investigate your options on July 22 when Jupiter will align with Mars, a once-every-two-year occurrence. Mars rules your solar house of home and other property, and rules your parents, so if you need a solution to solve any matter related to these areas, this is the most likely day you will hit on the right one. You may find a perfect place to live, or a lauded assisted living home not too far from your home that might be right for your father. All kinds of new solutions might arise on July 21.
While I am listing difficult days, I might as well add July 27, when Saturn will be at hard angle to the Sun, which may be an exhausting day for you. The Sun is essentially a hot fiery star, but Saturn is cold and icy, so you have two bodies converging at 90 degrees (a harsh angle) that are not basically compatible. Money will be on your mind, and you may be bummed out that you can't participate in a social event because your funds are short.
Speaking of money, you seem to be finishing up financial talks or sending a hefty payment at the time of the full moon in Aquarius (0 degrees) on July 22. If you owe money, it seems you won't be able to put off that payment.
As said earlier, you can sign contracts, so do so on a weekday, just after the full moon of Sunday, July 21, or Monday, July 22. Give the full moon of July 22 a plus or minus four days. Again Saturn will be standing in the doorway, preventing you from going to an event with friends. Or, you may have to put off buying something you want until your expenses simmer down. At this full moon, it is alternatively possible that you will want to help a friend financially who is in need, and you likely will do so, but it seems that friend won't be able to repay the money you gave him or her later. (You may be OK with those terms, as your friend apparently needs you.)
If your birthday falls on January 19, or within three days of this date, this full moon may prove to be important to you, as the full moon will form an out-of-sign conjunction to your Sun. Money appears to be the topic for you at this time, but if you are born late in the sign like near January 19, this full moon may touch on other vital areas in your life, such as health, real estate, a relationship, or other matter that is dearly important to you.
I had mentioned July 27 as a tough day, but there is a second hard aspect on that day that might infringe on your closest relationship. A partner may be too domineering, forcing you to stand up for yourself. Don't shake the tree on this day, for surely some sort of coconuts will fall out and hit you on the head. In other words, delay talking about a touchy subject with your steady lover or mate, as things will too easily unravel emotionally, beyond what you might expect.
Wedged in between the two tough days I just mentioned (July 27 and July 31) is July 29, a day that has many wonderful sextiles (planets 60 degrees a part, denoting opportunity) and some believe it will surpass all other days this month in its benefits and good fortune. I do not agree. I feel any good day requires a new moon prior to the day or be within four days of a full moon. July 17, 18, and 19 fits that description (love July 17) but July 29 does not.

Now, let's talk romance! Venus will enter fellow earth sign Virgo on July 23 and stay until August 16, a wonderful development for your love life. Single or married, Venus' job is to fan the fires of love, and she does her job very well. Mercury will have regulated and will now be moving direct (after July 20), so all is right with the world again. Use this period to circulate socially and to look for the newest things that are appearing in the shops for the next season. You may want to find time to consult with a stylist at your hair salon or barber shop to create a new, more modern look.
As one of my friends always used to say, "Looking GREAT is the best revenge when life doesn't go quite right." Spending a little money on your looks will pay off at month's end, dear Capricorn. You deserve to treat yourself well.
Summary
Now that Jupiter has arrived in your seventh house of partnerships, it's decision time. Jupiter brings rapid growth to all it touches, so if you've been dating, you will be encouraged to make more of the relationship you have now. You need to decide whether to commit your love forever, or walk away. Chances are, you'll be more likely to make a commitment, now that Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is in your marriage house for the first time in twelve years. Jupiter will stay until next year, specifically to July 16, 2014, but this month will be very special because a new moon in your commitment house will appear July 8 to accelerate your plans. It would be a great month to get engaged or plan to have your wedding.
Do you remember the song from Aquarius? "When the moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars, then peace will guide the planets, and love will steer the stars...." Dear Capricorn, this will happen in your chart in July - quite magical for making a forever, ever promise.
This same energy can be put to good use by starting a business partnership or collaboration. You might hire a wonderful agent, publicist, lawyer, or accountant, for the seventh house, so brilliantly lit for you, rules a professional you engage to help you on a one-on-one basis. You may hire a writing partner if you are starting to write a book or screenplay, or you can use this energy in a very different way, such as to hire a specialist if you are seeking a medical diagnosis. This is the month to review your options and choose the expert you need.
Do all in your power not to etch anything in stone too quickly, as Mercury will be retrograde during the first three weeks in July. You would do best to wait until after July 20 to make your biggest, most serious moves.
Saturn, your ruler, will go direct on July 8, having been in weak retrograde motion since February 18. This is your guardian planet, so this has to be good news for you. You will no longer encounter as many obstacles as you have in past months when working on pushing plans forward. Your period of doing due diligence is over, so now you can cruise along through life at a much faster speed.
Just as Mercury is about to go direct, you will see a string of days, July 17 to 19, when you will have proof that things are improving for you in every way. Now, stronger Saturn will be pulling for you in work, travel, and within a key relationship.
You will need to finalize a financial obligation within four days of the full moon, July 22. A large bill will land on your desk, and with Saturn in hard angle, there'll be no way to delay paying it. However, if you are involved in buying or selling real estate, this full moon may have a very different manifestation. You may be excited by developments, and if hoping to buy, you may be willing to pay a sizable sum for the right living arrangement. Mars will link to Jupiter, and may bring a call from your broker about an ideal space over this weekend of July 21-22.
If so, monitor things closely. On July 31, Mars will be at odds with Uranus, a jarring aspect. Take no chances if putting in a bid - if you love the space, make sure your bid reflects your enthusiasm for it, or it might be rejected unexpectedly. Also be careful when dealing with family members as one wrong word could cause things to heat up and go out of control.
Finally, the end of the month is often moving day for many. Be sure to work with a reputable moving company. The Internet is replete with horror stories about fly-by-night moving van companies who begin to hike the fees while your things are in transit, often double the estimate by the time they arrive. They have your things - you feel put over a barrel, and many people pay (rather than call a government watchdog group, which they should.) Avoid feeling held hostage by the moving van company by checking out the reputation of the company you want before moving day. If a price is too low, watch out, as it's a red flag.
You do have one spectacular day, July 22, when a home, property, or family matter may bring a sensational, workable solution. Mars, the planet ruling your solar fourth house, will align perfectly with Jupiter in your house of partners. This suggests a professional linked to your home, like a real estate broker, or other specialist or middleman, will offer you a tip that turns out great. Mars will align with Jupiter every two years on only one day.

Are you ready to get married? Jupiter's arrival in your marriage house for the first time since mid-2001 to mid-2002 and the new moon July 8 makes this month an ideal time to promise your love.
If you would like to form a business partnership or hope to hire an expert to help you get ahead, this same new moon will be ideal to interview candidates, and later to announce your choice (after July 21).
Saturn goes direct July 7 having been retrograde since February 18. If you feel that your plans have been held up, Saturn turn direct will push plans forward again.
Settle a financial obligation within days of July 22 the full moon.
If you need to move or fix up your present space, the meeting of Mars and Jupiter on July 21 should bring a chance to bring great progress.
Mercury will be retrograde so make marriage and partnership plans when Mercury is finally direct, after July 21.
July 31 could be a difficult day for any home related venture - family members are likely to be fragile. If moving make sure your prized possessions are well wrapped.
