10月 Monthly Horoscope for Sagittarius
October will be a messy month so to deal with it best, you'll have to carefully choose the right day for each initiation you plan to make. The first days of the month will be the most challenging, so let's look at those days first.
On October 1, the Sun and Pluto will be at odds, suggesting a sticky financial matter may arise between you and a friend that you find not easy to resolve. I am not sure if you will feel wounded, or your friend, but this episode seems to say a lot about the character of your friend. If the friendship means a lot to you, delay making any firm decisions just yet. Feelings may be high on this day, but might be less so next week, so give the relationship some space. If you feel your friend is at fault, allow room for your friend to come back to you and to still save face.
Two days later, October 3, Uranus will oppose the Sun, a very angry aspect that strikes in completely unanticipated ways that are impossible to predict and that may leave you shocked by what transpires. Uranus and the Sun's tug-of-war will cut across your solar eleventh and fifth houses, ruling both your friendship and love sectors, putting one relationship - platonic or romantic - in the center of your concern. Again, someone in your life is about to reveal his or her true colors. Keep in mind that these are testing aspects, so if your friendship or romantic relationship is sound, you will sail through this period easily and not notice too much news. The universe wants you to be in positive, productive relationships and to that end, will send tests like these now and then. Think of these types of difficult aspects as simply ones that probe, cleanse, and reveal.
I should mention that your fifth house rules not only romantic love, but also your children or a pregnancy. Therefore, in a less likely way, but still possible, a matter relating to one of your children (if you have them), or an unexpected pregnancy may come up, and you'd have to decide how best to handle what to do. Again, if Uranus finds nothing to reveal, you would only feel this aspect mildly. October 3 is more likely to focus on a friend, but I will always list the other areas that could come up so that you don't feel broadsided. Creativity comes under the fifth house too, so you may have unanticipated problems with a project that need to be fixed or refined this month.
I will say that October 3 would be a troublesome day to travel to any location, near or far. If you had planned to go, whether to see a friend, or to conduct business, see if you can delay it. Driving, flying, or going by rail is due to bring frustration, and may even be treacherous due to any number of factors, such as inclement weather. Don't drive in the wee hours of the morning either - you may be alert, but the person on the other side of the road may be nodding off and be a less reliable driver.
A troublesome new moon comes next, October 4, and that is the main event during the early part of October. This new moon falls in your solar house of friendship, and will encourage you to begin a new chapter in regard to your social relationships. Often a new moon will encourage you to expand your circle, but this new moon is not a smooth one. Beset with pressures from both Uranus and Pluto, this new moon will add tension to one relationship. Alas, your friendship is apt to be more revealing and troublesome than happy. This new moon seems bent on telling you something about a friend that you wish you weren't seeing.
The two aspects of the previous days, involving surprise-a-minute Uranus and pushy, do-it-my-way Pluto, will be active now, and instead of targeting the Sun as it will on October 1 and 3, it will target the moon. The moon rules your solar eighth house of shared income - commissions, inheritance, loans, venture capital, taxes, credit cards, and money you owe others and they owe you. Nothing will be stable at this time, so money you expected to be paid to you may not come, or you may suddenly discover you owe a sum to someone and that has come due. Sagittarius actually has a superb forecast for finances over the long view, so this month's tensions about money will be a bit of an anomaly and, I feel, will be only temporary.
I am not sure whether money is tied to the events that will involve a friendship, lover, child, pregnancy, or artistic project, but they seem to be. (I will allow the possibility that these may be separate, independent matters.) No matter how this plays out, money appears to be a thorny issue in the days that follow the new moon. A lot of pressure will build up around this new moon, because so many cardinal planets are blocking the escape route - all the energy of the wild, rogue planets (Uranus and Pluto) can do is bounce around the chart, fervently seeking a way out. There won't be an easy way to find a solution - you may simply throw your hands in the air and leave a friendship.
If your birthday falls on December 3, plus or minus five days, you will feel this new moon more than the other Sagittarians you may know. The same is true if you have Sagittarius rising, 12 degrees, or a planet in Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, all within five degrees 12 degrees.
Two weeks after the new moon, on October 18, we have a major full moon lunar eclipse in Aries, 26 degrees, your solar fifth house of true love. Compared to the new moon, this lunar eclipse might actually be easier for you. It will be time to decide on the future of a relationship with someone you've been dating - specifically, do you want to stay and commit your love, or break up? Eclipses tend to bring black or white situations - yes or no - with not a lot of analyzing possible. The eclipse will demand an answer, for eclipses do not allow you to keep the status quo. Eclipses often do for us what we cannot do for ourselves: create bold change.
If your birthday falls on December 17, plus or minus five days, you will feel this eclipse the most of any Sagittarian. The same is true if you have Sagittarius rising within five degrees of 26 degrees, or a planet in Sagittarius, Aires, Leo, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at the same degree or close to it.
Even if you are only dating a short time, you may have to ask yourself if you see a future with this person. If you do, then you may decide to do something small, such as to promise to be exclusive to each other. If you are married and have always said that you wanted to have children with your partner "someday," you will soon see that day has arrived. The universe will want to see progress and will bring events that will foster a decision.
Mars will be very friendly to the eclipse, so the outcome of events will be very positive and work to your advantage. I say that because Mars rules Aries, and this eclipse is in Aries - the position of the ruling planet of the eclipse, new moon, or full moon will always show the final resolve. There will be one problem with Mars at the time of the eclipse, however, in that Mars will oppose Neptune, and so your thinking may be more wishful than realistic. Take your time if the answer does not seem obvious and reflect. By the following week you will likely be thinking more clearly.
If you don't see any news at the time of the eclipse, then look to next month, November 18. Often, about twenty percent of the time, an eclipse will deliver its news one month to the day later, plus or minus four days. A tiny percent of readers, about five percent, will have felt the effects of the eclipse on September 19, plus or minus four days. Astrologers deal with bell curves, so that's why you can have a before or after situation!
Your career is about to take off in a big way, because Mars, the planet that adds energy and drive, will enter your professional sector (tenth house) from October 15 to December 7. In particular, you should see a lot of progress on October 31, a great day for an interview or performance review, when Mars in Virgo (in your house of fame) will contact Pluto in sensible Capricorn (in your house of earned income and salary). Hopefully, you will get a raise.
You can see lots of career progress in the second have of the month, but don't carve anything in stone just yet. You'd be best to plot your strategy but not make any firm decisions for this reason:
Mercury will go retrograde from October 21 to November 10, slowing down your everyday pace. It would not be the time to sign a contact or to start a new position. In fact, it would not be a time to venture forth in any area, even in a new love relationship. You will find VIPs to be indecisive and hard to reach. Others, including you, may become forgetful, so you must be very sure you don't leave something valuable, like your cell phone or iPad, behind in a taxicab or airplane seat. It would be a very bad time to buy a new electronic item, car, or appliance - wait until November 12 at the soonest. (You are already too late to purchase expensive things, as the pre-Mercury retrograde phase begins October 1. Even though Mercury does not officially go retrograde until October 21, you will feel the gears slowing down very much before that official date.
There is one exception to the rule, "never take a job with Mercury retrograde" and that is, if you worked with your intended boss before and are returning to work for him or her again, or if you choose to go back to a company that you loved and would like to work for again. In these instances, you would be simply extending a relationship you already started a long time ago and Mercury retrograde will not hurt your prospects for success.
In matters of love, you seem to be glowing, or will be soon once Venus enters Sagittarius on October 7 to remain until November 5. Mars will be in Leo, a fire sign like yours, and work beautifully with Venus from October 7 to 14. This is your very best time of the month for fun and love.
During that sparkling week of October 7 to 14, think about polishing your appearance. You may want to go shopping for new clothes, or to go to the salon or barbershop (my male readers, always thinking of you) to update your look for the coming season. After October 21 to November 10, it is a less positive time to make changes.
You may travel, from October 1 to 14, if you didn't already go away in September. Mars in Leo will help you go a far distance, and will also help you with immigration, green card, and visa matters at that time. You may want to do so before your career gets busy.
Another stellar day for you will be October 16, when Venus in Sagittarius receives a surprise ping from Uranus in Aries, from your house of true love. If you are single, here is a day to try your luck in love! It's perfect! If your birthday falls on December 1, plus or minus two days, you will get a double dip of romance from this golden day. Go out!
Halloween, October 31, brings ideal aspects for a night out. The moon will be in social Libra, an air sign that blends well with your fire sign element, and Mars will be beautifully angled to Pluto. (As said earlier, it's a great day for career progress, so you'll likely be humming a happy tune.) Be sure to design your costume early - you'll want to win the prize!

Your first clue that something may be up in your personal life will come at the new moon October 4. Uranus will stare down the new moon from directly across the skies, causing tension and possibly shock regarding a lover or friend's behavior - or both. It may be, for example, that your new date has taken a strong dislike to one of your friends, or vice versa, that your friend has a lot to say about the new person you've been seeing. At the same time, the new moon will receive a very hard glance from Pluto too, suggesting that money may become a hot potato with friends or a lover. You may have to decide what do about this unusual situation, so take your time.
The energy of this new moon is quite tense, so everyone will notice that things seems off. Difficult new moons occur to warn you of something - it will be up to you to determine what that might be, and how to fix things if you see something is amiss, assuming you'd even want to keep the relationship going. Considering how tense this new moon will be, it's possible you'll throw in the towel and leave the relationship early in the month.
Things will reach an important juncture at the full moon lunar eclipse in Aries, October 18, culminating something important in regard to a person you have started to date. Whereas the first aspect, discussed above, will more likely focus on a friend, this eclipse, October 18 will now focus on how you feel about a romantic relationship. This eclipse will be a bit kinder than the new moon of October 4, so you may be cheerfully planning your future. The person you are dating will now be your focus. If you are seriously attached, you may be discussing your future plans for children, or an unexpected pregnancy that may bring up talks of marriage too. This month the universe will shake things up so that you can make progress. Of course, change is not always easy to accept, but you must admit, it does clear the slate and open you up for a new chapter and lots of personal growth.
Right after the eclipse, from October 21 to November 10, Mercury will turn retrograde, adding to the confusion of the month. You will have to be very careful about making fateful decisions now, as Mercury will scramble thinking and communication. This is a time to observe and reflect, not take action. You won't "lose" anything by waiting - in fact, you will gain by prudently waiting.
Venus will enter Sagittarius on October 7, to stay until November 5. Use this phase as a license to treat yourself to a soothing massage or a brand new haircut.
It's not quite the month to meet someone new, for there is too much static in the air to judge if someone will be good for you or not. There are two exceptions to that rule. The first is October 16, when Venus in Sagittarius will reach out to Uranus in Aries. That would be a fantastic night to go to a party or mixer in the hopes of meeting someone new.
Also, Halloween should be great fun as well, with the moon in Libra (a sign that blends well with yours), and Mars and Pluto will stir up a perfect party atmosphere.
This is the right time to refine your health and fitness habits, and to gently improve your looks too, especially from October 7 to 15. You deserve tender loving care

On October 7 Venus moves into Capricorn, in your house of income, a mildly sweet influence to help you improve profits and your cash flow.
Mars will enter in your house of career success from October 15 to December 7. You can make good professional progress now if you press forward. Remember, however, that Mercury will be retrograde from October 21 to November 10, not a time to generally take on a new position.
Have a fun night out with friends on October 16 when Venus in Sagittarius reaches out to Aries.
The month's lunar eclipse on October 18 will bring surprise news to a new romantic relationship. Alternatively, it may bring news in regard to a pregnancy or a child you have now. Mars is friendly, so even if initially you have news that jars you, you can find a good solution.
Mercury will be retrograde from October 21 to November 10. Do not buy any electronic items and do not sign any contracts. A verbal commitment is the same as a written one - avoid both.
On October 31 an opportunity to make money may present it itself, due to the cooperation of Mars and Pluto.
