Virgo Horoscope for November 2013

Pack your suitcase, dear Virgo, because it appears you'll be going places. With so many planets lighting your travel sector, plus a new moon solar eclipse on November 3 doing the same, you will have to bolt your shoes to the floor to avoid going out of town this month. I will show you what I see, and you can decide how things will play out for you.

First, I should mention that last month brought the first of two eclipses: one, a lunar full moon eclipse October 18, and the second one due this month, a solar new moon eclipse November 3. Eclipses are very powerful moments in any given year, for they bring a floodlight of truth to help you understand a situation, and they also speed up events in a very noticeable way. The eclipse last month may have brought news about your salary or a large check you had to write, and it may not have been expected. The October 18 eclipse had some fine aspects supporting it, so you may have (or will) take care of things quite well and not run out of money as you may have feared.

If you didn't hear any news last month about money near October 18, then look to November 18, plus or minus five days, because for about 20 percent of the readers, news will be delivered one month to the day later, plus or minus four days. For 5 percent of the readers, news already was delivered one month to the day prior to the October 18 eclipse, i.e., on September 19 plus or minus four days. Astrologers use bell curves, so you must think of time differently in astrology than you do in normal life. You can feel the influence of an eclipse before it occurs, because energy radiates outward in both directions of the bell curve when an eclipse occurs, is about to occur, or recently did occur. That idea has kept me up at night thinking about all the magical ways the universe works.

Now let's turn to the next eclipse, a solar new moon eclipse, to arrive November 3, in Scorpio, 11 degrees. It will be a new moon solar eclipse, which will open a new path for you, unlike last month that may have ended or culminated a situation, and in that case, concerning money.

This month's eclipse, November 3, will either bring short travel, possibly over that weekend for a "just us two" romantic getaway, or will focus you powerfully on a child, yours or someone else's child. You may have been concerned about this child, but this new moon solar eclipse seems to help you find the solution, thanks to your persistent search for answers. This may be a great month to treat that child to a fun weekend with you. It does not matter how old that child happens to be - it could be a time to have a fun, bonding time together.

It's also possible you will be asked to sign a contract as a result of this eclipse November 3. You will have time to look it over, so don't rush. Mercury, your ruler, and planet covering communication, commerce, and negotiation, will be retrograde, a holdover from last month. You can travel, but you should not sign a contract or buy anything expensive until after November 10, but better, sign your papers on November 12, my favorite day for you.

November 12 will be so very special for you because the Sun and Jupiter will be in ideal alignment, linking your house of hopes and wishes, friends, and groups to the Sun in your third house of agreements. This makes it a four-star day! Fortunately this day arrives AFTER Mercury is done being retrograde so you can use it to the hilt.

This eclipse will have support from Mars in Virgo, and that is a very positive point that should be acknowledged. Having Mars in your sign is considered a great advantage, and to have Mars in Virgo in ideal angle to the eclipse will multiply your good fortune many times over. You will feel control, and rightly so - others will look to you for direction. Mars only comes by for six weeks every two years, so this is not a commonplace position for Mars to be, by any means. Mars is the booster rocket to all new ventures and relationships, and will even make you more attractive. While you have Mars in Virgo, until December 7, make good use of it!

Pluto will also be supportive of this eclipse, which might mean you will be working on a creative project, and if so, all the actions you take as a result of the eclipse will likely bolster the project. More likely, Pluto's presence will encourage a romantic trip with the person you are dating, or, if attached, a plan you have to start your family now will take hold - if you can get away together now, all the better.

If your birthday falls within four days before or after September 3, you will feel this November 3 eclipse the most and benefit most from it - take action! I cannot see your natal planets in your chart, but if you have had your natal chart done, look to see if you have the Sun, moon, ascendant, or any planet at 11 degrees, or within five degrees in Taurus or Scorpio. If you do, afterward, write a quick note on your calendar about what happened, for we have more eclipses to come in this family of signs in 2014 and your notes will come in handy later. You know I will ask you at the next eclipse in April to look back and think about what was happening at this time for you.

The full moon November 17 (no, not an eclipse, but a normal, nice full moon) in Taurus 25 degrees will also emphasize travel, this time to a city more distant than the one you might have taken earlier in the month. If you do fly away, you are likely to return quickly, within days after this full moon appears. This full moon will bring up matters involving education too, so you may get a final resolve regarding your admission to a certain college or graduate school, or news about a certain qualifying test you took (or will take), or thesis you will defend at this time. You should do well, as all systems will be go!

I am enthusiastic about this full moon November 17 because Jupiter will be in an ideal position to help you. A friend and perhaps a club you belong to will be helpful to you. Communities and groups seem to work to your favor, and one group may want to help you, so see how you can integrate that information into your life. If you were thinking of joining a club or charity effort, do so at the full moon. Also Mars, now in Virgo, will be very helpful too, imparting confidence and encouraging you to show leadership qualities. Most of the time we don't have control over events, but this time you do!

Having Mars in your sign will truly be a big plus for you because you will find that most people will go along with your plans and not challenge you. This won't always be the case - there will be times later in the year when you will have to go very far to persuade others to agree with your thinking. We only get Mars in our sign typically for six weeks. You will have this special favor until December 7. Mars will make you courageous, energetic, and determined, all great qualities when you are trying to get a venture approved to your satisfaction.

One grand, standout day for you will be November 18 when Mars, now in Virgo, will reach out to Jupiter in Cancer. That's when you are most likely to see how much a friend cares about your future. You will likely see that your friend is willing to go to bat for you, and this will touch your heart. Mars naturally rules your eighth house of income from other people, so you may want to buy a few scratch-off lotto tickets with a friend on this day. Don't bet so much money that you lose the farm, but you might win a small prize, and it seems a friend would have to be involved in the lotto too with you to see this aspect work best!

Speaking about money, it appears last month you may have been worried about cash on hand, but this month, on November 30, you will see you had no reason to fret. The Sun, by then in your home and family sector, will reach out to Uranus, now in your eighth sector, so you may hear of a surprisingly generous bonus, commission, licensing fee, or other large check due you that you never expected.

One day that will also fall at the end of the month, but that won't be about money, but rather, travel fun and love, will be November 27. This day has your ruler, Mercury, the travel planet, in perfect 120-degree alignment to Jupiter, giver of gifts, happiness, and luck, which is a fantastic aspect. This day comes the day prior to Thanksgiving Day in the US, and is the most highly trafficked day of the year in planes, trains, automobiles, and busses. I am so happy to report that if you do travel, you will have a perfect day to get over the river and through the woods to Grandmother's house for turkey. I love November 27 for you!

Statistically, most of my readers of Astrology Zone do not live in the US (60 percent now live in other countries), so you won't likely be celebrating Thanksgiving. Still, you can use November 27 for short distance travel, for signing a contract, giving a speech, writing an important document, handing in a manuscript, or for doing anything communication oriented, like sending out post cards about your new business or designing your logo.

Next month I will not say that travel will be easy over the Christmas holidays. Big cosmic (emotional) storms are about to roll through starting December 21, intensify by December 24, 25, 29, 30, 31, and continuing until approximately January 10. Cardinal signs Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn will feel this the most. Still, if you have to choose between traveling for either Christmas or Thanksgiving (this month, November 28), Thanksgiving brings the brighter picture.

In terms of love, you are fortunate to have Venus in Capricorn, a fellow earth sign, touring your house of true love from November 5 all the way until March 5! That is an extraordinarily long time, and this tour of Venus will be due to the impending retrograde of Venus, starting next month on December 21 and continuing to run backward until January 31. (When a planet retrogrades it goes back and forth over certain degrees of the same sign, keeping it in that sign for a long time. With Venus retrograde, you will be encouraged to think about your closest romantic relationship, to see if you are having a change of mind. It is also a time to reconnect, or have reconciliation - it can have positive effects.

With Venus about to retrograde December 21 to January 31, you should not schedule any radical changes to your appearance during those weeks. Do not do plastic surgery or make any big changes to your hairstyle. You will hear me say, keep New Year's celebrations low key. You can always fly to Paris in February for Valentine's Day when Venus has regulated her orbit. Although Mercury will be retrograde during most of February, you can still have fun. When Venus sleeps, as she will at the end of December through January, work predominates, not fun and love.

One good piece of news is that Neptune, which rules your house of marriage, is now about to move forward on November 13 and push forward plans for you to possibly get engaged or married after it regulates its orbit. Already married or in a very established relationship? You can now draw up goals together, certain they will stick.

If you have been working on a creative collaboration, you can now see progress. With Neptune moving forward, you will have less creative conflict and move to the same page. You will find the process easier and more fun too.

Summary

Many planets are now crowding into your third house of communication and agreements, including a solar eclipse, November 3, suggesting you may be involved with an important negotiation. You seem to be proceeding in a careful manner, for Saturn is close to the Sun, and Saturn tends to hold up progress. It may also be that you aren't altogether satisfied with the deal on the table.

Mercury will be retrograde, so although you seem to want to get things moving forward, you need to hold back and sign only after Mercury turns direct on November 10. You are wise to wait, for any contract you would sign during Mercury retrograde phases would only have to be renegotiated again later. Your Virgo ability to see every detail will allow you to catch phrases that may cause trouble later. Your best day to sign would be November 12, when the Sun and Jupiter will be in perfect sync.

This month will certainly be busy, with lots of phone calls and emails overflowing. Handle each phone number, email address, and street address with care, lest you lose bits of essential information. Again, your Virgo talent for keeping things organized will put you ahead of the game. With many planets in Scorpio, you may be digging for facts, as Scorpio rules the roots of all things and that happen in hidden, unseen places. If you are looking, you should be able to find the answer this month.

Travel will form a large theme this month too, as the eclipse will be in your short distance travel house November 3 (plus two weeks), and the full moon (November 17) will light your ninth house of distant travel. It looks as through you will be taking a quick break for romantic reasons - and that's the best reason of all. Even if you do have to travel for business, you will enjoy the trip and you will be highly productive. All sorts of other topics will also come up for review if applicable: university study, tests and reports, publishing and broadcasting ventures, matters involving immigration, and legal and court applications and matters.

Financially, last month, October may have brought sudden, difficult news involving money, but this month, especially near November 30 you may get a good surprise when a lump of cash heads your way. It may be when a loan or mortgage you applied for is approved, or you may win a small prize or hear about an inheritance.

Short quick travel seems to be another big theme of the month, and you appear to do so for purely romantic reasons. Consider taking a long weekend with the one you love over November 30-December 1 for the most fun.

All month, Venus will tour fellow earth sign Capricorn in your sector of true love. Venus will bring out your magnetism and charm to all that come in contact with you. Along with Venus in the perfect place to help you, you also have Mars in Virgo, so all around, you will be quite irresistible. Mars will draw people to you socially, so you will need to deal with the attention you will generate. After Mercury turns direct on November 10, shop for a new evening outfit to wear for the coming holidays. You'll find beautiful things that are madly flattering this month.

Most romantic dates, and days you can use for other things too: November 2, 3, 6, 7, 11, 12, 15-17, 20, 21, 25, 26, 29, and 30.

A new communications-oriented project may start up November 3.

A negotiation may hit obstacles on November 5.

Jupiter will go retrograde November 6, and that may delay a home-related plan.

Mercury was retrograde since October 21 and will now turn direct November 10.

Attend a club meeting or see a friend for dinner on one of the happiest days of the month November 12.

Neptune will go direct on November 13, bringing clarity to a committed relationship.

November 16 has a grand trine in earth signs involving the planets moon, Venus, Pluto, and Mars, a wonderful day, especially for you, dear earth sign Virgo.

Venus will meet with Pluto in your house of true love on November 15, bringing passionate love that evening.

Things keep getting better! Over the weekend of November 16-17 all the earth planets in the sky will form a golden triangle. The full moon on Sunday, November 17, will heighten your emotions even more, and it will be it will be a great time for travel and love.

When Mars reaches out to Jupiter on November 18, your luck in love, romance, and your social life will continue.

November 27 may be a favorite for almost any activity, for Mercury will be in perfect angle to Jupiter. It is a great day for signing a contract or to travel, write, or give a speech.

A sum of money may head your way November 29, thanks to the Sun working with Uranus.
