Taurus Horoscope for September 2013

There's a new mood in the air, with a new season starting up, and you're anxious to jump in with enthusiasm! Of course you want to reach out to life with both hands outstretched in front of you - you have one of the very best social and romantic outlooks of any of the signs! In September you will be a force of nature, and you will find yourself in the center of many happy events that will soon be whirling around you.

September is made of all the right sweet and spicy ingredients, so make it work for you. A highly productive month, you can make your actions count, and by month's end have a lot to show for your efforts. Next month, October, will be rocky as the planets clash with one another - you will hear their heavy feet stomping around the heavens making a lot of noise and acting up like an obstinate child demanding attention.

Next month, October's first week will be hard on everyone's nerves. In addition, the month will hold a lunar eclipse in Aries on October 19 (actually it will not be too terribly bad as eclipses go), and Mercury will go retrograde from October 21 to November 10. You see? This is your month to make your big moves. Also if you need a car, computer, or new electronic gadget, by all means, get it now. Do not wait for Mercury retrograde next month, the very worst time you could possibly choose to make those kinds of purchases. We always feel Mercury's slowdown and confusion two weeks earlier, so that fairly quickly wipes out the month.

September starts out with good news - a new moon on September 5 in Virgo 13 degrees will light your fifth house of true love. There is nothing like a new moon to open doors, so if you are single and hoping to find love, this is the new moon you've been waiting to see all year. You must make an effort to get out and circulate. A new moon is not for a day, but lasts for two weeks, and the actions you take have the power to last for a year or more. Why is that true? You typically get one new moon a month, each one falling in a different one of your twelve houses each time - this one is a peach. Jupiter, giver of good fortune, will be beautifully oriented toward that new moon, bringing a large dollop of happiness. If you are single, this is the new moon of 2013 that has the power to help you find your one true love.

If you are attached, consider taking a long weekend with your sweetheart over the first weekend of September 7-8. (For clarity, even if you are married, your partner is still your sweetheart.) That weekend will fall under the overarching energy of that brilliant new moon, AND the mighty Sun will contact happiness planet Jupiter to make sure your time together will be all you hope it to be, and more. The accommodations will be beautiful, too, for Jupiter will make it so - even if you are only going to a modest bed and breakfast.

Taurus born on May 3 plus or minus five days will benefit most from this new moon that brims with possibilities for love. Even if you are not born near that date, I feel all Taurus will have something to celebrate. If you were not born at that time, and you have your natal chart, see if you have a natal planet within five degrees of 13 degrees of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces - if so, you will also find yourself at the right place at the right time making the first half of September fun.

Venus will start to tour Scorpio on September 11, to stay until October 7, and will add a touch of sweetness to your relationship in the weeks to come. In addition to love, Venus rules good looks too, and this lovely planet will coax you to find ways to look your best. That's why this month, after September 11, would be ideal for buying new clothes and for improving your appearance in any way you like - don't wait until the planets start to squabble with each other in October! October is not the time to change your look radically. By the time you end September, if you do take advantage of Venus in Scorpio, you can be collecting compliments and enjoying the fuss others are making over you.

Socially, you will have another beautiful, fun day coming up within four days of September 19, the full moon in Pisces, 27 degrees. Jupiter will be friendly in wide (not tight) mathematical proximity, but still, it will be close enough to bring an event with warmth, friendly faces, and possibly a touch of luxury. This full moon will bring you among many people - you will love what you do on or near the full moon, or in the days surround it. You may do a charity benefit, a political fundraiser, or you may simply have a gathering with friends in a restaurant, or at your home if you give a party.

Taurus born on May 17, or within five days of this date, will benefit the most from the full moon September 19. If you have a planet in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn in your chart at 27 degrees, or within five degrees of that number, you also will benefit. No? Don't have that? Then look to see if you have a natal planet in water sign Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces at 27 degrees or close to that degree - you, too, will benefit in a big way.

I need to discuss Saturn in Scorpio and how Saturn is affecting some Taurus relationships, but first, before I do, I would like to touch on what Mars is doing in your chart. All month, Mars will be in Leo and help you address home, property, or family concerns during the entire month. Mars brings lots of energy, and the new moon of last month, in Leo, which appeared August 6, may have given you a helping hand to initiate a property-related plan.

It is significant that the Leo new moon last month on August 6 was in perfect angle to Uranus, planet of surprise. Uranus' presence suggested something you didn't expect may have come up in regard to a home-related matter, and hopefully it was a welcome breakthrough. That friendly new moon will help you for many months, and now Mars will come in like a Navy Seal to take things farther along the way. This part of your chart also rules family, particularly your parents, so if you have been concerned about the welfare of a parent, Mars will help you find many solutions and options that you had not uncovered before.

Now let's turn back to your love life, dear Taurus. Some Taurus may have had (or are having now) problems with a close relationship. This is because Saturn has been touring Scorpio and is directly opposed to your Sun. The relationship in question may be a romantic, close, and committed relationship, or Saturn might have instead focused you on difficult daily interactions with a business collaborator, expert, or business partner instead. In a smaller percent of cases, (although still significant in number) some Taurus have NOT had problems with a relationship but instead had health concerns, as Saturn opposed to the Sun can be very draining.

This trend started last year, October 5, 2012, and will continue until September 17, 2015. Between now and late 2015, you will have a six-month hiatus from Saturn, for Saturn will briefly bolt forward into Sagittarius, giving you a rest from Saturn's tests during the first six months of 2015. After that you will only have to host Saturn in Scorpio from mid-June through mid- September 2015 - then you are done for the next three decades.

If your birthday falls in April, you have already faced the hardest tests from Saturn over the past twelve months - there are no hard tests on the way. If your health suffered, then know your outlook is much improved for the coming months and years.

If your relationship has been sticky, and you are looking for an opening to talk to find a way back to closeness, then Venus in Scorpio will help you from September 11 to October 7. Use that time to open a conversation. Nothing is predestined in astrology, for you have free will and you get to choose what you want to do. Each day, we must show our true feelings to the universe and often are called upon to fight for what we believe in. If a relationship is over, then that truth will be obvious to you now, or soon. Seeing the truth of that will liberate you to move forward and accept what you see and cannot control. If you are still committed to the person and the relationship in question, this month will bring opportunities to talk and grow closer.

You have a jewel of a day coming on September 26, when Venus in Scorpio, in your partnership sector, will be in ideal angle to Jupiter, planet of good fortune, now touring your travel sector. That would be the perfect day (or week) to take a romantic trip together. If you are still in love with your partner, but nevertheless experiencing difficulties, taking time away from home will be the very best move you could make. Go to a nearby town that you both enjoy to experience the beauty of nature. (There is no need to go to a distant, exotic city when the third house is involved - stay close to home base.) Sometimes all that a couple needs to do is to have fun without analyzing the relationship into bits - the solution can be that simple. With Saturn opposed to your Sun, having fun together might well be the best remedy!

September 26 is special for another reason - it is an aspect involving your ruler, Venus, meaning you will enjoy this aspect on a deeper level, for Venus' job is to take good care of you, dear Taurus. When your ruler is involved, it can be special for just about any purpose. You will excel on this day and have good fortune on your side. For example, if you are in a tough negotiation, on this day, you may hit on an idea to offer the other side that will bring accord. September 26 will be THAT special!

This month, you have such lyrical aspects for love - keep your mind focused on the gifts the universe is about to give you. Friends will also be very loyal and helpful to you. You've not had a lot of relaxation this year, so treat yourself to a spa treatment or a little trip away if you can, even if only over a long weekend. You also need time to consider your next move.

Be the director and scriptwriter of your life, dear Taurus. What shall our hero or heroine (you) do next? By separating yourself from the situation and pretending you are the head scriptwriter of the movie that is your life, you will be able to see your options more clearly. All good plots need a little tension to show how brave and smart the protagonist can be. As is the case with all good protagonists, after having come through the challenge, that person is changed forever - often (and always in your case) for the better.

You have just arrived at one of the best months of 2013 for fun and love, dear Taurus. Lucky you, at the time everyone you know will bemoan the unofficial end to summer (if you live in northern hemispheres), you will be just cranking up and eager to see what's possible for you after this season ends and a new one starts up. If you are single, plan to circulate more in September; October won't bring nearly the opportunities that September will bring for you. You will find yourself at the right place at the right time, so circulate! Virgo is a fellow earth sign that blends beautifully with yours, so you have plenty to look forward to now and in weeks ahead.

Attached? You have Venus, your ruler, traveling through your commitment sector until September 10, making your interaction with your "other" especially sweet. The new moon, September 5, will intensify this trend and will receive brilliant beams from Jupiter in your third house of travel. Consider taking a quick trip with your partner. Doing so will make romance grow bigger and brighter.

Saturn has been opposed to the Sun of those Taurus born in April, so if you are among those Taurus born at that time of the year, April, you may have had problems getting along with your closest partner. While Saturn will (and has been) testing the strength of your union, if you feel your union is strong and you are convinced that have a future together, redouble your efforts for resolution. If you feel you are hopelessly incompatible, the strains that Saturn will exert may finally coax you to find the courage to leave.

Since October 2012, when Saturn entered your opposite sign of Scorpio, you have felt less than usual cooperation from business partners, too. Saturn can bring on a feeling of isolation, simply to see how you cope on your own. Other Taurus suddenly had problems with their health.

As Saturn moves through your opposite of Scorpio, between now and September 2015, you will not feel his presence the entire time - only while Saturn moves close to the mathematical degrees of your Sun, for approximately ten months. Saturn is in early degrees of Scorpio, so he has been aiming his attention toward Taurus with birthdays in April, and he will continue to do so throughout the rest of 2013. This month, Saturn will link to Venus, reminding you that past promises and duty must come before fun. Hang in there, dear Taurus, for life will improve after you come to terms directly with the assignment Saturn has given you.

No matter what is going on in your life, to keep your spirits up, a stunning social event should arrive within days of the full moon of September 19 - it seems to come over the weekend of September 21-22 when the moon will be in Taurus.
