Leo Horoscope for September 2013

This is a great month to be a Leo. Mars will move through Leo all month and put you at the head of the class. You have waited two years for this special favor from energetic Mars, so start making your list of all you want to achieve in September. Mars will help you! This trend started on August 27, and will continue until October 15, more than enough time to take important first steps on a key project.
Mars will raise your profile and give you courage, determination, and drive. Projects and relationships that are started when Mars is in Leo tend to work out exceptionally well, if only because you will not take "no" for an answer. Failure, you will tell others, will not be an option - and that's the kind of attitude that will get you admirers. You will be an inspiration to behold.
Indeed, you will be Simple Simon - when you say, "Do this!" others will follow. Don't underestimate how rare and special this period is for you now. When Mars is in your opposite sign, Aquarius, something that will happen in December 2014 and January 2015, VIPs and others whose approvals you need will fold their arms over their chest and say, "Why do we have to do things your way?" Or, "Why is your idea a good idea? Tell me again, specifically, why we should do this? I am not convinced." I know, it makes no sense - you are the same person - Mars is not on your side, you are apt to get a whole different response, and it will feel like pushing a rock up a hill. Now that you have Mars in Leo, show the lion's courage, present your goals, suggest ideas, and rally the team!
One of your best days will be on September 13 and 14, when Mars will send a golden beam to Uranus, planet of surprise and spontaneity. This should be a great day when your brain will be firing on all four cylinders, making you extra creative, and even funny and witty. You may travel unexpectedly or get good news from a company overseas. News from academia, or concerning a legal or immigration matter, should be positive, too, depending on what you've been doing up to that point. There are so many possibilities! Circle September 13 and 14!
The bright new moon of September 5 will fall in Virgo (13 degrees) and light your second house of salary, so this will be your big chance to see a substantial increase in earning. In fact, this will be your best moment of 2013 to ask for a raise. Don't delay. After that new moon arrives, money is likely to occupy much of your thinking this month, and happily, I think you will like how things go. It is time to review your finances, and how you earn, save, spend, and invest. If you work with this new moon and focus on money, Saturn, the planet of stability, will add to your sense of security. Pluto will be on hand to help, too, so this suggests that new assignments will flow in, and if self-employed, bring extra profits.
Your very best days to look for more income will be Thursday, September 5; Friday, September 6; and Saturday, September 7. Jupiter, the good fortune planet, will signal the mighty Sun and shower you with luck. Your house of income (where the Sun is moving through now) and Jupiter, in your house of confidential meetings, will work together to help you get compensated generously.
I say this because although everyone of every sign will enjoy what happens near September 7, you will enjoy it all the more because your ruler will be involved and prominent. In other words, this aspect will hold more weight for you over other signs - and more benefits for you, too. Work to finalize a negotiation, plan to give a business presentation, or ask for a raise on September 5, 6, or 7. If you cannot, do so on Friday, September 13, when you prove there's nothing bad that could ever happen to YOU on Friday the Thirteenth! Not with Mars in Leo in perfect angle to Uranus!
Your meditations about money will be finished within four days of the full moon, September 19. This is another strongly favorable moment of the month for you, and Jupiter well be within a mathematically significant position in the heavens to help you see the profits. Some may argue that Jupiter's support is a bit wide (9 degrees from the full moon), but I find this within my established protocols.
The place this full moon will fall will be your eighth house of other people's money. You may hear back about a student loan or bank loan, venture capital infusion, inheritance, mortgage or refinancing plan, or other area where you may get a large lump sum. If you are hoping to get a payout from an insurance company, or to settle a divorce, this is the time it would happen. Alternatively, if you owe money, you will send the large check. The other possibility is that if you decide to buy something expensive, you will do it now.
There is more good news. Pluto, now in your sector of workaday projects, has been retrograde since April 12 and will finally go direct on September 20. If you feel that your projects have languished, and plans advanced too slowly, Pluto's retrograde was likely the problem. Clients will now approve plans faster, and all around, you will find it easier to rally your team and get wagon wheels rolling. The same area of the chart where Pluto is now based, your sixth house, also rules your health. If you are following a protocol that has not yet shown the strong results and progress you had hoped to see, you may get good news near September 20.
Whenever a major outer planet - Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, or Jupiter - turns direct, it will give you clues of what direction events will take shortly. Watch the days that fall on either side of September 20. You could miss Pluto's message if you are not paying close attention, so set your cell phone alarm to remind you to watch for subtle clues in regard to work and health. I feel you will like what you hear.
Venus will be in Scorpio and your house of home from September 11 to October 7, a great time to focus on your home decor. Venus will help you make stylish choices, and you would do best to shop now, not in October.
Your very best day in regard to getting help from Venus will come on September 26, when Venus will send a lovely "trine" beam to Jupiter, planet of happiness. This would be a great day to look for new furniture or to give a party at home (Do not give it at a club or restaurant as that's not where you will get extra sparkle from Venus.) Venus will see to it that whatever you do that centers on your home will produce beautiful results. September 26 is your day!
Many Leos are facing a residential or family dilemma due to Saturn. I feel you may get progress on this long-term question in early November as a result of the solar eclipse, November 3. Keep working on uncovering options, and if you find one you like, insist on signing in September. The full moon, September 26, where I saw the possibility of a large purchase, might mean you buy a house, hire contractors to renovate, or buy an important electronic or piece of furniture.
October will be difficult. We have some strong storms rolling through the first week, and because the Sun will be involved with an altercation with Pluto first, then Uranus by October 3, you won't want to take any important actions then. Then a witch of a new moon will arrive October 4 - we all have to keep breathing and tell ourselves that, this too, will pass. Then we have a lunar eclipse in Aries, October 18 (actually not a bad eclipse), and then Mercury will go retrograde October 21 to November 10.
You see that October won't be a highly productive month, and that will put more pressure on you to get things set, sealed, and shipped now, in September. With Mercury not going direct until November 10, we all will be losing a lot of time going back over old ground. The good part about that is that Mercury will be moving direct during the critical holiday shopping period for the first time in years, giving customers and retailers a lot to be excited about.
In terms of love, you will like the period when Venus tours Libra in your quick trip sector, September 1 to 10, so see if you can plan a romantic getaway then.
Of course, having Mars in your sign is also a big plus, something that will be at play all through September and into the first half of October. Mars will make you more magnetic and attractive, so get out those sunglasses, dear Leo. The paparazzi will be following you!
Summary
September brings a different mood. The carefree outlook you had adopted in July and August now will turn slightly more serious and practical. First on your list will be to get a grip on finances. The new moon September 5 may have you thinking about how much your services are worth on the competitive market or within your present firm. Clearly, you deserve a raise. Your timing would be right to ask for one in the days that shortly follow September 5, so have your case ready at that time. September 5, 6, or 7 would actually be your best days to present your case. If you can't do that day, September 11 and 12 would be almost as special.
Pluto will support that new moon, indicating management has been quite impressed with the work you've done on a recent project. Saturn, the planet of stability, will also be helpful to the same new moon, September 5. This suggests the actions you take in early September to increase your earning power will likely be well received and make a raise likely.
Your timing for petitioning a raise could not be better for another reason. Mars is now in Leo, putting your interests front and center, and giving you the lead in all negotiations. This is not easy-to-find, common cosmic favor, but rather, a rare and special advantage that comes to you from Mars for six weeks every two years. Mars will remain in Leo all through September, to October 15. Where you once felt fear, you will find courage and strength. Where you used to feel unsure and indecisive, you feel passionate and clear-eyed. Mars will give you the impetus to act, so forge ahead. Your timing has never been better.
A need to do more money management will come up within a handful of days of the full moon September 19, but this time you will be wrapping up financial agreements, sending check to cover previously made obligations, and generally finding a better way to organize your finances. This would be a fine time to see if you can cut waste and get your finances on a more profitable track.
Romantically and in other ways, your happiest days this month will be September 6-7, when Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will send a brilliant beam to the Sun, your ruling planet. You might want to schedule a casual blind date in a coffee shop at this time. As an aside, along with happy social and romantic results, this will also include exciting news about money.
Also, in terms of love, at the start of the month, Venus will be in Libra, sure to bring chances to enjoy quick, fun travel until September 10. Overall when it comes to love, attached or single, while Mars remains in Leo, this planet of action, energy, and passion will raise your profile and amplify your charms. It's a great time to meet and greet, for you never know when the perfect person for you will cross your path.
