Scorpio Forecast for March 2014

You have just come to the most romantic moment of 2014, dear Scorpio. At the very start of the month, you have one of the most lyrical, graceful, and affectionate new moons of the year that will encourage you to find true love or to nurture and celebrate the love you have found. That new moon either came February 28, or will on March 1 (depending on your time zone), and will be your very best friend. It is astrological truth that you can have some of the most glittering planetary aspects around you, but without a new moon to package the energy in the air and make it accessible to you, those lovely aspects will remain out of reach. Now, at last, you have a gorgeous peach of a new moon, standing ready to deliver so many loving goodies to you.

This new moon will light your fifth house of true love. It will come like a magnificent bride, hold the arm of dignified Neptune, and together as they walk together in the heavens they will sprinkle golden dust over you. Neptune's job is not only to inspire you, but also to show you how wonderful life can be when you love someone so deeply you are ready to dive to the bottom to the sea of love together. Love requires a bit of vulnerability and trust, and a willingness to give your all to that person, even to the extent you give up ego and desires for yourself so that your beloved can be happy. Venus is generally thought of as the planet of love, but Venus' job is to start the spark. Neptune's job, as the higher octave of Venus, is to show you that sacrifice is intertwined with love - to give, without expecting anything in return, is the ultimate expression of love.

Of course, we all know people who go too far on this trail, give too much, and wind up being trodden on by his or her lover, but that's not what Neptune wants for you. Rather, Neptune teaches joyful giving, never in the extreme. This month, the new moon that starts flowing energy the moment the month begins will show you how to reach a deeper level of love together, and it matters not if you have been dating and attached, married, or single. Neptune will touch all Scorpios of all marital statuses.

If you are attached, this new moon will also encourage you to think about having a baby, if that is a desire you have held in your heart. A new moon in Pisces is considered very fertile, and when in the fifth house that rules pregnancy and children, in addition to love, you have an ideal set of circumstances to try for conception. Remember that a new moon will give you two weeks of luck, so hopefully this month's timing and offerings will work for your schedule.

If you already have children, it is very possible one will show talent that you may want to help that child develop. Pisces is one of the most creative signs of the zodiac, the reason I say this to you. See if you get clues - look closely, and talk with your child, no matter what the child's age, very little or grown.

Speaking of creativity, if you are in a creative field or have an artistic project you are cultivating, this month's new moon at the start of March will be a blessing. You are now about to turn out some of your very best work, so you must give time and loving attention to the project that means so much for you. The ideas will rain down on you with just a little effort on your part.

The reason I am particularly excited about this new moon is that Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, now at 11 degrees in water sign Cancer, will be mathematically in perfect angle to the new moon in water sign Pisces. This means you will have all the support possible from this generous planet of goodness. Jupiter is currently in your house of long-distance travel, so you may be taking a long trip with your one-and-only overseas or to a city on the opposite coast of your country. Choose to go to a breathtaking city or town near water, and make this trip very romantic.

I feel this trip would be quite a standout - you will have sumptuous accommodations, and your trip will go so well! If you have to go for business, you will have fun parts to the trip to experience too, and you are likely to bring talks to a profitable end. It's so rare to have the direct help from Jupiter, so this new moon is truly special.

It's been said that Jupiter is also the planet of miracles, so if you need one in regard to love, pregnancy, or children, it appears your angels are listening to your prayers this month and will help you open a gateway. You will always have to be part of the goodness the universe will be sending you by being willing to apply your own energy too, to show the universe your intent.

From my circle of friends, and dear readers I meet, I have come to the conclusion that many smart young friends are creating a list of qualifiers that no romantic partner could possibly match. Have a kind heart, dear Scorpio. Imagine if your prospective partners also had list of their own qualifiers in the mate they would like to meet and marry. If you were to get your hands on that list, would you be horrified by how high the bar was set? Would your partner be upset to see your list? Sometimes I feel this list-making business for finding love is actually a defense against falling in love. So this month, listen to those you meet with an open heart. Your stars are rare and twinkling brightly for you, dear Scorpio - I want you to have a real shot at finding the one right for you! Be open to those you meet!

Every Scorpio of every birthday will have something to cheer about in the first half of March. If you were born on or within five days of November 2, this new moon of February 28-March 1, so very influential during the first ten days of March, will have a direct dialogue with you - you will win the cosmic jackpot. You will also benefit in an outstanding way if you have Scorpio rising near 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, or a natal planet in Pisces, Scorpio, or Cancer of 11 degrees and plus or minus five degrees, or, next in line, a natal planet in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn near 25 degrees.

Before you get to the month's full moon (which I will talk about in a second), you have a lovely aspect on the two days, March 12-13, when the Sun in Pisces will be beautifully oriented to Saturn in Scorpio. This day could help you forge a meeting of the minds between you and an authority figure. Plans made for the future will be plans kept and followed. Put a gold star on that day!

The full moon, March 16, will fall in Virgo, 26 degrees, and likely bring you in contact with many friends. You may be invited to a party, as this full moon falls over a weekend of March 15-16, or it may be a professional event, as all full moons have an area of influence of plus or minus four days. Again, Saturn will be smiling on your event, so if you meet someone you'd like to get to know better, you can, and that person, whether a new friend or possible sweetheart, will stay in your life a long time.

If your birthday falls on November 18, plus or minus five days, you will find special benefit from this full moon. The same will be true if you have Scorpio rising, 26 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, or if you have a planet in your natal chart in Scorpio, Pisces, Cancer, Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn at this same 26 degrees and the same mathematic tolerance.

Mercury, the planet of communication, was retrograde last month, but Mercury went direct on February 28. You can sign papers, but I will urge you not to for an important reason.

One of your ruling planets, Mars, will go retrograde from March 1 to May 19. This will slow you down, but that is another reason you will have time to enjoy love this month. Mars goes retrograde for almost three months every two years, so this is not unusual. It would not be the right time, this month, to start a new business or to launch a new product or service. Mars is the high-energy planet that gives every new venture a big boost to get it orbiting in the stratosphere. Without a good strong Mars, energy is low, and the venture may not have the power to fend off competitors. Remember, the day you choose to give birth to a venture will give it the DNA for the life of that project. This is why we always need to choose the very best day possible for every initiation. Mars is associated with courage, drive, and assertiveness, and that is the reason this planet is so associated with being competitive - and winning!

Right now, Mars is in Libra, filling your twelfth house of secrets. It's obvious you are not yet ready to show the world what you are working on. Projects locked in the twelfth house require more time and attention, so the fact that Mars is retrograde is only additional evidence that you need to go through your plan with a fine tooth comb to get all "just so." Check your assumptions and recalculate / estimate your numbers. Although Mars will turn direct on May 19, Mars won't break out of your private, secret twelfth house until July 25. Wait until then, when Mars moves into Scorpio, to shout about your new product, service, or business from the rooftops - that's your best timing.

This month, you may get a bit of good news about money on March 26, when Mercury and Jupiter work closely together. This is a sterling day, when travel is wildly favored, and your trip can have any purpose to do well.

The mood of the month will change by March 30, when the new moon appears in Aries, in your sixth house of workaday projects. You will need to turn your mind away from love and fun, and get down to brass tacks.

This new moon will give you a preview of April, the most difficult month of the year. In April two tough eclipses will occur, one on April 15 in Libra, and the other, April 29 in Taurus. That second eclipse may affect you, especially if you have an October Scorpio birthday and have a romantic or business partner. Remember, however, that an eclipse is on a mission to show you the truth of a situation. If conditions are strong and healthy, you have nothing to fear, for the eclipse will have nothing to show you.

The new moon of March 30 will come arm-in-arm with Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments. This only means what comes up will be new, and there will be changes in the environment you work within. Workers may go, others may replace them, computer equipment may change, or a client may arrive or want something unusual. You may not see evidence of this immediately, but within the ten days that follows the new moon. You are a fixed sign that does not like to see shifts, but alas, these appear to be in the works anyway.

More troublesome is the hard glance the new moon will receive from Pluto, your other ruler, as well as to the new moon, Sun and Uranus. Pluto is in your house of communication and contracts, so a negotiation you are trying to conduct may take a volatile, unexpected turn causing last minute difficulties. Also, with your other ruler in the twelfth house, you may detect intrigue behind the scenes, so it seems a political situation may have been simmering under your radar. I am not sure if you are the subject of this intrigue or not, but it seems to be there. You will know more once you get to month's end. Scorpio is the shrewdest sign of the zodiac, street smart from head to toe, so it will take a lot for anyone to get the better of you. I think they chose the wrong one, dear Scorpio, if they chose to pick on you.

Summary

You've just entered March, your best month in 2014 for romance. The new moon of late last month - February 28 or the following day, March 1 (depending on your time zone) - will open a door for fun and love. If you are single, make sure you circulate, and be open to new types of people. Your best chance to meet a new romantic interest is at a party or on a vacation to a beautiful city near the ocean, a body of water, or mountains dusted liberally with snow.

If you are married or seriously attached, the two of you need quality time away too, so start packing. Jupiter will be perfectly angled, indicating you'll be in line for luxury - check travel packages and insist on the most pampering accommodations possible, for this time you'll likely find them at a price you can afford.

Mars, your ruler, will go retrograde, March 1 to May 19, so during this time, plan to kick back, relax, think, and wait for better days. With Mars, the action-oriented planet, napping, you will find launching projects at work hard, and it is not the time to take a courageous lead, anyway. Instead, find tiny flaws to fix, and wait until after May 19 to unveil your most important initiations, but better yet, wait until late July if the project is super important to you.

Saturn will go retrograde too, March 2 until July 20, and Saturn rules your contractual negotiations. Mars' retrograde is the more important consideration, for Mars governs Scorpio, so keep your shirt on until May 19.

In this wildly, over-the-moon social month, you will likely have a sublime social event to attend over the weekend of March 15-16, thanks to the full moon in Virgo. You may be going to a wedding, engagement, or birthday party, or you may attend a benefit or charity event. The mood will be fun, but a little different from events you enjoyed earlier in the month. With Saturn providing a comforting base, you may talk seriously with a friend or lover about your dreams, and the person you love so much may get a few surprisingly on-target pointers of how to achieve them. This will be an enchanting phase, so dress up and step out.

The end of the month will bring you back to reality, as you will need to switch your full attention to work, and an assignment that may suddenly come up could easily take you into a new direction. The new moon is March 30 and will conjoin Uranus, so it'll be hard to anticipate what will come up. (With Uranus, you never know, as it's always what you are not looking at and would have never guessed would come up.) You will need to be flexible and stay alert, for things will be changing at a rapid rate. It is likely you will be asked to redo parts of the plan.

Do not rush through any elements, even if pressured to do so. If you have to stay very late to check every facet, do so. You are moving through an environment of smoke and mirrors, and although you may need to hire recruits, you won't find qualified workers yet - until you can hire help, do much of the work yourself. Bring in temporary help or consultants if necessary while Mars retrogrades. Pluto's hard angle to the full moon may bring a forceful client who demands certain points that you will have a hard time swallowing.

Your health will need protection at the end of March too, and even more so in April when a lot will be demanded of you. With delays entering the picture, you may not know what end is up. Take one day at a time.

Most romantic dates (and dates you can use for other important purposes too: March 9, 10, 14, 15, 19, 20, 23, 26, 27, and 28.

Mars will retrograde from March 1 to May 19, and Mars is one of your ruling planets, so refrain from launching anything important just yet - wait until end of May.

March 3 may bring heartening news when a VIP will favor you, showing you that things will be looking up in your career, thanks to the Sun in perfect angle to Pluto.

Jupiter turns direct March 6, after being retrograde since November 7. International travel and relationships, import-export, and matters involving academia and the courts go well.

The new moon that occurred February 28 or March 1 introduced one of your most romantic, special of the year for you to find love or to enjoy love you already have. Single? Circulate in the first week. Couples who want a baby: this trend is also outstanding for conception.

A major social event may dot your calendar on or within four days of March 16. Saturn will be friendly, so be sure to go - you may make friends with some that will endure.

March 26 will be a super day, especially for travel or for conducting a meeting.

Travel to a distant city will be divine on March 26, for business or pleasure.

On March 30, the new moon may bring havoc to your work assignment or environment, or you may feel so flattened out that you will need rest and to take better care of your health.
