October will be an unusual month by just about anyone's estimation, and one that will likely get you moving in a new direction. We have two eclipses coming up, the first, a total eclipse of the full moon in Aries 15 degrees on October 8, and the second, a friendly new moon solar eclipse in Scorpio 0 degrees on October 23, the latter being your centerpiece of the month for it falls in your sign. Eclipses always coincide with a new moon or full moon, two weeks apart, and fall five-and-a-half months apart. They arrive in a certain family of signs, and this month we have overlapping families - the first one, October 8, falls in the Aries-Libra family.
Any typical family of eclipses, like yours, the Taurus-Scorpio family, appear every five-and-a-half months and do this for 18 or 24 months. This month marks the end of the Taurus-Scorpio series with the appearance of the new moon solar eclipse October 23, so that after this, you can rest. Other signs will get their turns. Eclipses are famous for requiring adjustments, so think back to November 2012 when they first started, and where you are today. Because eclipses fall at different degrees, you would not feel every eclipse, only certain ones. The next series in Taurus-Scorpio won't be back again until November 2021 to May 2023. The Aries-Libra series (like the one eclipse this month on October 8) will continue through 2015 and into March 2016.
Eclipses are simply new and full moons on steroids, and wield a great deal of power. Don't become anxious about this month's eclipses, however, as they are nothing like the ones that occurred last April 15 and April 28. The new eclipses of this month are, however, linked in theme to the ones that occurred in April and bring discussions to a more advanced stage. Think back to what happened back then - you might have been thinking about a job or a close relationship. If you suffered a reversal, these new October eclipses may reverse that news and now give you a fresh start.
In terms of the Scorpio eclipse October 23, you may very possibly come to a final conclusion about a certain matter or regarding something or someone who is - or was - very important to you. You are very fortune, for that October 23 new moon solar eclipse will be the friendliest eclipse of 2014 and surrounded by a glittering golden triangle.
Let's look at your eclipse first - the one coming in Scorpio on October 23 - and then I will backtrack to the top of the month and discuss other aspects, including the total eclipse of the moon in Aries on October 8. A new moon solar eclipse is generally known to be far less emotional than lunar full moon eclipses (such as we have October 8) for a new moon will open an exciting new path and bring plenty of opportunities.
With a solar (male) eclipse, a man may leave (be "eclipsed out") of your immediate environment near October 23. If there were to be an ending, that would be the one you'd see happen, but overall, this eclipse is about having a new chapter begin. I love that this eclipse will be in perfect angle to Mars, your ruler, suggesting all that happens at this time will energize you. This eclipse also arrives arm-in-arm with Venus, another indication you will like events as they unfold.
The October 26 eclipse will help you to see yourself in a new light, and will give you a chance to reassess your goals and reorder your priorities. You may have outgrown some of your goals, but have been so busy with the routine of life, you've not had a chance to think about what you really want in your life to be happy. This eclipse will give you the chance to reflect. Often when an eclipse comes by, a change of appearance also seems due. You may decide to radically change the way you wear your hair or your style of dress. You may change your name - say, if you author books - or get married. These are outward sign of the changes that will be taking place within you in coming weeks and months.
The April 28 eclipse may have brought up a matter with a partner, either in love (such as your spouse or a person with whom you have an established, long-term relationship) or in business (such as your agent, manager, publicist, or other one-on-one collaborator with whom you have a serious tie). That eclipse and the full moon May 15 were not easy to endure, but this eclipse should set you on the right course, either with your partner, or without your partner, your choice. These eclipses will make you very decisive - you will not waffle with your decision.
You may also begin a new and very creative new project in coming weeks and months, thanks to this eclipse. Mars will send a shimmering beam to the full moon, energizing you and setting you off in a brand new direction. Venus will come with the eclipse, suggesting your adjustment to events near the new moon October 23 will go silky smooth.
The closer you were born on October 23, or within five days of this date, you will feel this eclipse the most. (The closer your birthday is to October 23, the better.) The same is true if you have Scorpio rising at 0 to 5 degrees, or a natal planet at 0 to 5 degrees in Scorpio, Pisces, or Cancer.
Now let's look at the top of the month at the full moon - a total eclipse of the moon in Aries, 15 degrees. This eclipse will fall in your sixth house, which rules two very different parts of your life. First, it rules your health and steps you take to stay fit and healthy. If you have any part of you that requires medical or dental attention, you will need to have it attended to now, this month, immediately. You may not be aware that anything is wrong and latent within you, but the job of an eclipse is to bring that problem to your attention. You may sail through this month with no health or dental matter to consult a professional about at all - an eclipse is there simply to show you any weak links.
The other part of life that the October 8 eclipse may accent is your everyday work environment at the office and may also spotlight how you get your job done. You may finish an assignment at the eclipse, for full moons bring culminations or endings, and you may leave and miss the camaraderie of the team. Or, your company may move to new headquarters. In another manifestation of this eclipse, a woman assistant or teammate may leave. (Lunar eclipses always point to a female in your circle.) At home, you may hire a nanny or babysitter, or a trusted housekeeper who may regretfully leave your employment for any number of reasons.
People close to us have a very strong effect on us, so losing one person close to you whom you trusted can throw you into a spanner. My housekeeper of many years, Rosita, now has much less free time to come to work with me once a week, as she needs to babysit for her daughter's new baby, Olivia. I had to find a new helper, and did thanks to the advice of friends, who introduced me to Isabelle (love her too). Rosita can come over to my apartment any time she likes, just to see me or to do a little light housework - my door is always open for her. To me, she's a member of the family. You may go through something similar with your babysitter or housekeeper now.
If you can think back to what happened on the April 15 eclipse, the October 8 eclipse will pick up the thread and perhaps give you closure, with a new fresh start.
Here's why you have no reason to fear this October 8 eclipse. You will be outstandingly protected due to a rare golden triangle that will appear in the sky in the next two days after the eclipse. On Thursday, October 9, Mars, your ruler, now in your house of salary, will reach out to Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, in your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. If you left a job in April, the one you will be up for near October 8 will be far more prestigious. Mars and Jupiter will work together not only to get you a high level job, but to get you the generous compensation to go with it.
Wait, there's more! An even more powerful day will occur on Friday, October 10, when the mighty Sun and Jupiter will meet on your behalf. This is a four-star day! If you can schedule a meeting or interview with a high-level authority figure on October 9 or 10, you will find you will get a fantastic reception.
When you add Mars in your salary sector, in perfect harmony to Jupiter in your house of fame and honors and both in perfect harmony with Uranus, planet of surprise, in your area of projects and assignments, you have one glorious golden triangle in fire signs, linking all the houses you need to score big career victory. Golden triangles are powerful, and this one will center all its energy on helping you find the right position for you.
On Monday, October 13, you get more luck. Venus, in your behind the scenes sector - possibly representing those you listed as references - will also signal the good fortune planet Jupiter. With Venus involved, your references will say only the best things about you.
If it is time to talk about money and salary, Wednesday, October 15, will bring you accord, for Mars, your ruler, will also signal the Sun in the friendliest way. Wow, dear Scorpio, you seem to have all the bases covered!
On Monday, October 20, you will also have more confidential, behind the scenes talks, and this time, Mercury will signal Jupiter in the most positive way possible. All the while, keep in mind that you have Jupiter in the sky like a brilliant lantern in your house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame. This is your best year in twelve years to be seeking a better position, and this trend just started in July and will go for almost thirteen months, until August 2015. On October 20, you will show resourcefulness, leadership, and originality, and your ability to articulate reasons why you are right for the position being discussed will be unsurpassed. The same will be true if you are pitching new business - you will be persuasive and charming, a winning combination.
I should mention that Mercury will be retrograde all month, from October 4 to October 25, but I feel this time, Mercury will not stop your steamroll to the top. I feel it is very possible that someone from your past, such as a former boss or colleague, will be instrumental in your securing this more powerful position. Your stars are so strong this month, I can only imagine that Mercury retrograde will help you, not hurt you. If someone high level that you worked with in the past gives you the tip about the job that you will interview for, or a tip about a new client you should approach to develop new business, you are fine to proceed.
Mercury retrograde is notorious about putting the monkey wrench to best laid plans. If you don't know the people you are interviewing with (or presenting a presentation to), and no one from your past is involved, then proceed a bit more cautiously. Make sure you understand what would be expected of you in the new position, because Mercury, as the planet of communication, can cause you to misunderstand. Check your assumptions, too, for those assumptions might need to be tweaked.
By October 25, Mercury will move direct, and Mars, your guardian planet, will move into Capricorn. From October 25 to December 4, Mars in Capricorn will likely cause you to travel much more than you have been lately. You will also have more interaction with your sister or brother. If you need to sign a contract, you can negotiate it, but leave space after October 25. I never want you to run up too close to the start or end dates of a retrograde. Sign, if you can, in November. I like November 1 - see if you can get that date to sign, even if it is a Saturday. You can sign and then simply FedEx it in.
Romantically, everything improves at month's end. Venus will go into Scorpio, just in time for your birthday, October 24 to November 16. Venus' lover, Mars, will be beautifully compatible with Venus in Scorpio, so this is another good sign that your social life will start to dazzle. To attract someone new, you may want to choose few new pieces for your wardrobe, for having something new and flattering will make you feel like a million dollars. Women Scorpio may want to choose new cosmetics, and men or women Scorpio may want to have a consultation with your hairdresser/barber. Improve your packaging, dear Scorpio, and you will draw love to you.
For attached Scorpio, travel to nearby towns will refresh both of you and help you forget everyday cares. You'll have fun like you did when you just met, a great idea!
Here are two days to keep on your radar screen for love and fun: October 27, when Venus in Scorpio will be in the most divine angle possible to Neptune, producing a very glamorous night. (You will feel this aspect building over the weekend of October 25-26 too.) The following day, the Sun in Scorpio will signal Neptune as well, and because Neptune is in your house of true love, you are likely to be inspired by love. Who says you can't go out on a Tuesday night to meet new people, have a first date, or spend time with your one and only love in a romantic restaurant? Go! You will be glad you did!

Your career is still gaining powerful momentum; so don't let up your efforts, even though you may feel that delays may at times slow you down. Your stars are so bright, I doubt anything could stop your ascent to the top. The reason for snags that you will likely encounter this month is that Mercury will be retrograde, causing delays, postponements, and unanticipated changes in direction. Everyone will be feeling Mercury retrograde, so don't feel singled out by the occasional snafus you go through in October. They are nothing in the scheme of things. Never for a minute in October worry that you're losing your lead. In truth you are doing better than any other zodiac sign when it comes to career - your edge over other candidates will be remarkable! You are golden!
The month holds two eclipses, considered the most important nodal points of the year. The coming eclipses this month, coinciding with a full moon and new moon, will be tied to discussions that you had April 15, and to April 28, respectively. The first eclipse, October 8, will illuminate your house of work environment, so you may see a female team member or assistant leave. Your company may move to a new building, or you may get new software and computer in the office. Think back to what occurred April 15 of this year; this eclipse could reverse any untoward news you may have suffered (say, if you lost your job, or saw a project end, and the team disbanded). This eclipse has the power to improve things for you, or at the very least, advance discussions that occurred at that time to a new level, and possibly help you find closure.
The second eclipse, October 23, will be the most helpful one of 2014, and lucky you, it falls in Scorpio. If your birthday falls within five days of this date, you will feel the benefits of this eclipse more strongly than those of Scorpio friends born in November. No matter when your birthday happens to fall, this solar eclipse will open a door to new opportunities. It may be a new job (very likely) or a new relationship. You are absolutely starting a new chapter, and it will be an exciting one at that!
If you are attached, you may grow closer to your present partner, perhaps by you both becoming engaged or doing something else to deepen the relationship. Think back to April 28 - this eclipse may smooth over and help fix any difficulties you had back then. If that April eclipse showed you that you are incompatible with your partner, then you may have already left or will now, opening you up to a new and brighter future when you meet someone new and better for you. If you are in love, the universe will push you forward - an engagement or other sign of a deepening love will occur, possibly near your birthday or for the year-end holidays.
This eclipse is in Scorpio, so your desires, needs, and future goals will come into play and will certainly help you see yourself in a new light. You may decide to change your appearance dramatically, or even change your name, through marriage or by adopting a pen name.
At month's end, Venus will glide into Scorpio, and Mars will be in Capricorn, giving you the impetus to travel more than you have over the past few months. Your most romantic evenings will come over the days that span October 25 to 28, when Venus and the Sun will interact with Neptune. It would be a perfect weekend to treat yourself to a trip out of town, or to a string together a four magical days of fun and a little bit of luxury.

Watch your health over the October 8 eclipse - if there is any part of you that the eclipse needs to bring to your attention, you will know it now. Seek medical help to nip things in the bud.
Mars, your ruler, will tour Sagittarius. Mars has been driving up your expense, but also increasing your motivation to find a position to make better money. It seems like you will find it too, if you look for it. On October 9, Mars will signal Jupiter in your house of fame, a superb day to be negotiating your fee or salary for a new job, or project. This day may also bring a raise. On October 10, Jupiter in your prestigious tenth house will meet with the Sun - making it a rare and golden day to meet with a VIP.
Your career may bring news that makes you excited on October 20, when Mercury in your house of earned income signals Jupiter in your house of fame and honors. In this case, your reputation and fine past performance will add up to big-time success.
The month's second eclipse, October 23, a new moon solar eclipse in Scorpio, will be the more important one of the month for you, doubly so if your birthday falls on or within five days of October 23. Your own desires and needs will come forth, and you may have a new appreciation for who you are and about the talents you possess.
Venus will enter Scorpio for the first time this year on October 25, to stay until November 16. Start thinking of buying new wardrobe items for the coming season. You have plenty of time - don't buy too close to October 25, the day Mercury turns direct. Give a space of a few days. Venus will make sure you chose very flattering things.
Once Mars moves into Capricorn, you'll be on the road more often, from October 23 to December 5. You won't go far, but you will find those getaways refreshing, or if done for business, your trips will be profitable.
Romance may be quite glamorous when Venus conjoins Neptune, and the Sun conjoins Neptune, October 27 and 28. You will feel the influence of these planetary aspects over the preceding weekend, October 25-26.
