You are coming into your own, dear Pisces. It's been two long years since Mars came to visit you, but he is about to arrive now, on January 12, and remain with you until February 19. The ancient astrologers knew that having Mars in one sign makes you the "It" girl or guy. You will get things your way without compromise, which may be a new experience - you may not have seen such strong support in a long time. Mars will tour Pisces from January 12 to February 19. This is when you will have the most control over outside events. Having said that, Mercury retrograde will cause a little bit of complication from January 21 to February 11. Honestly, however, I feel almost nothing can stop your steamroller march to success. I will address Mercury retrograde later, but first, we have a more pressing concern, a difficult full moon starting the year off.
The full moon of January 4 in Cancer, 15 degrees, will be in an angry mood. This one will fall in your fifth house of love and romance, a sector that also governs pregnancy, children, and all creative efforts. Money may be a matter of concern, for the full moon will clash with Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments now based in your personal financial house. This may give you unwanted surprises having to do with your temporarily dwindling bank balance. This may be a matter of simply having done a math error, or, if you have a joint account, of your partner writing a large check but not telling you about it until it's too late to stop the damage. Many Pisces are self-employed, so it may be that clients have not paid you on time, and that may have caused a bad cash crunch. There are many possibilities, but you get the idea.
Pluto will oppose this full moon too, and Pluto is in your friendship sector. One of your friends may persuade you to spend more money than you can afford to participate in an event, and by the full moon you may be feeling regrets. This same full moon may bring up a disagreement between you and the person you are dating (if so, money and your friends may be a bone of contention), or bring you special concern over a child's welfare or a pregnancy. Because this is a full moon, it's due to be stressful, as all full moons heighten emotions. Yet this full moon is in Cancer, a sign that gets along sublimely with Pisces. Cancer is a water sign like yours, so you should be able to easily handle whatever comes up.
If your birthday falls on March 7, plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of this full moon most. The same is true if you have Pisces or Scorpio rising within five degrees of 15 degrees.
You actually have excellent aspects for financial gains. Watch to see what happens on January 13 and January 14 when you should see a check for a substantial amount of money or hear that one will be on the way. January 27 will have the same aspect as January 14, and is also a sweet day for finances for you, when Mercury will work with Uranus to bring all sorts of surprises. January 27 is slightly weaker than January 14, but here I am splitting hairs. (Mercury will be retrograde by month's end, which is why I say that.)
Let me stop now and discuss Mercury retrograde, which will begin moving backward on January 21 and stay out of phase until February 11. It is never a time to take a job or launch a new venture; it would be a great time to go back to a former relationship or former dream to see if you can try to make a go of it again. In those cases, you CAN launch something new, if it is tied to a venture you worked hard on previously but that never quite was able to get off the ground for any number of reasons. Your timing might be right now. Mercury wants us to go back to the past to make something productive of all the hard work you had poured into that relationship or venture. Mercury retrograde periods are not the time to sign a contract or to buy any product with moving parts, such as an electronic item, a car, watch, or appliance.
Mercury may show you if any of your existing possessions have parts that are wearing out. We all tend to run to the repair shop when Mercury is retrograde. This time, Mercury will be retrograde in Aquarius, ruling all newly invented forms, including electronics. This tells me that all of us, of every sign, will have an increased possibility that something electronic won't work right. Be careful not to drop your cell phone or computer, and make sure you have all your treasures with you (cell phone, eyeglasses, sunglasses, wallet, and so forth) as you go in and out of taxicabs, railroad cars, and airplanes. We become distracted and forgetful under these periods, so to avoid disappointment, slow down and check that you have everything with you.
You will find that bookings and schedules change under these aspects, and it's important to remain flexible. Executives will be hard to reach, and among those you can reach, you may be frustrated by how indecisive they sound. This is because things are changing under the surface, but you won't quite be able to see the truth of this yet. Don't try to push against the delays, for the delays will actually benefit you. Mercury will kick up a lot of dust behind the scenes, so you'll want to wait for that dust to settle before you make decisions - you need to see a clear road ahead. Wait till you get to the end of February to start new ventures and relationships. I particularly like February 26 for you to act.
I mentioned how wonderful it will be for you to have Mars in Pisces, for it signifies that you will be ready to start a fresh new cycle. Watch the activities and relationships you are involved with in January and February, for those will have "legs" and take you places. You may not realize how potent this period is for you, but you will later, in hindsight, when you look back and see how beautifully your projects grow. With Saturn now in your house of fame and honors, you will be working in a new area for you, and you will have to apply all your concentration to your goals in an all-or-nothing effort. You likely will, because you will finally be able to show the world what you are capable of doing.
The new moon of January 20 is a very sweet one, for it falls in Aquarius 0 degrees and will stimulate your imagination in an exciting way. This new moon falls in your house of the subconscious, so at times you may have no idea where your dazzling ideas will be coming from, but no matter - keep writing down those golden ideas! Among them, one may be a true blockbuster.
A standout career day will be January 23, when Saturn will work with the Sun, bringing news that your status is heading skyward.
Let's go back to the topic of romance. If you get through the full moon January 4 (plus or minus four days) still with your partner, that's good news, and you will know you are in a strong and sturdy relationship. Having Mars in your sign starting January 12 (until February 18) will make you appear more attractive, and you'll get more than the usual amount of attention.
Venus will be locked in your twelfth house while in Aquarius all month, suggesting that if a friend suggests she set up an introduction to someone interesting, agree to meet that new person. Be careful, however, to find out if this person is truly available, for when the twelfth house is involved, sometimes someone will conceal an important fact. A relationship can only flourish when both parties are honest and pure of heart.
You will do even better in love once Venus moves into Pisces for the first time in, starting January 27, to stay until February 20. You are so lucky! You will have Venus (ruling the feminine pulse in each of us) and Mars (ruling the masculine pulse in each of us) together since last year in April, so it's been a long time. Venus and Mars are considered the cosmic lovers and set off lots of sparks when together. Although they won't make a conjunction in Pisces, the fact that they are both looking after you tells me that you are about to be quite charismatic and alluring - quite unforgettable.
Consider refreshing your looks while Venus tours your sign, January 27 to February 20. While Mercury will be retrograde, you can still buy new clothes. (You may want to keep the receipts if you later decide that you should make an exchange.)

The holidays may have been unusually happy with the presence of many warm friends surrounding you, but that's precisely the reason you may not have noticed there were problems with your lover bubbling up under the surface, seemingly out of the blue, at the full moon, January 4. It appears you may be upset with something your sweetheart will say, and it may bring a full-scale meltdown on a level you've rarely seen. With Uranus adding pressure, you seem to be upset about a financial matter. If your sweetheart is important to you, listen but say little. You can always put off talks for several days later, when, at which time, the emotions of all concerned will be cooler.
If you are not dating or engaged, this full moon may manifest in a slightly different way. You may be very concerned over the welfare of one of your children, or a creative project may be headed for trouble and needs to be fixed. Money will still become an issue, and no matter what comes up, because is a full moon, you will have to quickly find a solution - and you will. Fortunately, a full moon in Cancer blends well with your Pisces Sun, so the end result should work out.
Your life will take on a vibrant, faster pace once Mars enters Pisces for the first time in two years, January 12 to February 19. As ancient astrologers always wrote, when you have Mars in your sign, you have presence, courage, and drive. Ventures you take on will likely succeed during this phase, for you will go to the mat to make sure they do. Everyone wants Mars in their sign - it's a huge advantage.
The actions you take during this period toward a goal that is dearly meaningful to you will lead you to the key solar eclipse in Pisces of March 20. You will start to lay the groundwork now, and the more preparations you make for ventures that are due to lift off in February and March, the more spectacular the result will be. It all starts with knowing precisely what you need to see results and having the faith in yourself that you can pull off this dream.
Money has been a rollercoaster ride this year, with some tough news that may have made you frantic and other days where the news was spectacular and made you want to jump for joy. This month, you will have reason to rejoice, for on January 13, financial news should surprise and delight you. January 14 and 27 are runner up days, for both will bring news that will immediately both excite you. You will see all your hard work is adding up to better income after all.
Saturn has just recently moved into your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame, indicating that you are about to step up to an important new role in your profession. Your profile will be very high, you will tackle something very new to you, and you will be expected to stretch to new standards. The career goal you choose apparently will be one you want badly to succeed in, and you will likely be willing to work with Saturn's demands of committing to giving an all-or-nothing level of concentration. The full moon January 4 will fall in Cancer in your house of true love. Due to difficult beams from Uranus and Pluto taking place at the time, this will be a touchy time when emotions are going to run high, and it may trigger an emotional time. Do not discuss anything important if one of you is having a glass of wine or other alcohol, for it will only add fuel to the fire. Wait for the full moon to pass before you discuss things in depth. Money or friends may be a topic of concern.
Venus will receive a golden beam from Uranus on January 13, and Mercury will be in line for the same type wonder-beam from Uranus on January 14 and January 27. All these days would be ideal for exciting, unexpected news about earned income that is about to come to you.
Mars will visit Pisces from January 12 to February 18, a big advantage to you. You will have presence and control, and you won't have to compromise your ideas too much. Chances are, you can get them approved easily.
Your subconscious and creativity will be stimulated by the new moon, January 20. Saturn will be helpful, so what you create at this time could have powerful staying power.
Venus will enter Pisces on January 27 and remain in your sign until February 20, a time your magnetism will be high.
Mercury will retrograde from January 21 to February 11.
January 25 will be a terrific career day. The Sun, star of authority figures, and Saturn, planet of longevity and rock solid practicality will be in sync. This will be a perfect day to meet with an older, experienced VIP who can give you advice on any number of questions.
