New moon eclipses begin trends, while full moons bring endings. Eclipses like to shake us out of our complacency to show us that in life, there are always surprises. A new moon eclipse is very powerful. If you have ever watched TV game shows like Jeopardy, it is a bit like when the contestant picks a certain question and all kinds of bells go off after that, and the audience becomes energized, for they are told that that particular question carries more weight than the ordinary question. Bells are about to go off in your life, dear Pisces, but in the good sense. You are about to make a stunning breakthrough. All eclipses demand adjustments, so while you may face obstacles, where you are heading is an important next step.

Eclipses are always the biggest indicators of change in any given year. They change priorities, bring in new elements and opportunities from the outside world (over which you have no control), and wind up affecting your world too. Eclipses in your own sign and opposite sign of Virgo give you catch up time. You will not only begin to view yourself in a new light, but people around you will see you differently. If you have been diligent about working toward your goals, the eclipses will put all you have done into one big package, tied with a bow, and respect from others will follow.

If your birthday falls on March 8, or within four days of this date, you will feel this eclipse the most, more than other Pisces you may know. (The closer your birthday falls to March 8, the more you will feel the effects.) You will also feel this eclipse very strongly if you have Pisces rising 19 degrees or a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio, and to slightly lesser degree, in Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn, also 19 degrees, and in all cases, plus or minus five degrees.

There is another eclipse this month, a full moon lunar eclipse in Libra, 3 degrees, that will light your financial house. Mars, in your most prestigious career house, will be in ideal angle to that full moon, falling in your eighth house of other people's money. This suggests that you may get a large sum of money, such as venture capital, a commission, royalty, licensing fee, inheritance, insurance payout, prize winning, generous scholarship, a large amount of university financial aid, or other windfall that is delivered in one payment. If you work for a company and are negotiating benefits, this eclipse should help you get superb benefits like fine health care policy, generous vacation days, and the possibility of flex time where you may be able to work from home one day a week to avoid commuting.

Keep an eye on your bank accounts and credit card statements to make sure no one has made unauthorized charges or changes to your account and caused identity theft. After Mars redirects his orbit to direct speed, at first, I can see mathematically he will be tired and groggy, and not be back to former strength until August 22. One week later, his brother, Mercury, will settle into a nap when he goes retrograde, August 30 to September 22. For all practical purposes, you won't make a lot of progress from April 17 to September 22 unless you will be willing to put in the elbow grease that Mars will not do for you. Having Mars in your prestigious career house is a blessing, despite the back and forth retrograding of this little red planet. You can win, you can be competitive, but you will simply have to work harder at grasping the prize you have in mind. For now, you have a superb month, so use it for all it's worth.

Now let's talk about March 16, one of the most important and sparkling days of the year. On this day, Jupiter, now in your partnership house, will be in perfect angle to Pluto in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes. Sign a contract on this day to see profits grow like Jack and the Beanstalk's beans, straight up to the sky a mile high. If you are attached and in a happy relationship, it seems obvious that you are touching the heart of your partner in enchanting ways, and that you will grow ever closer now.

It would be a perfect time to have a dinner in a beautiful restaurant filed with flowers and that offers amazing food and wine. If attached, and you have one or more children, splurge on a baby sitter. A weekend this rare and magical would be a shame to miss. If you are single, have your first date on one of these two days.
