英文:
the United States of America recognized the Government of the People's
Republic of China as the sole legal Government of China, and it acknowledged
the Chinese position that there is but one China and Taiwan is part of China.
"it acknowledged the Chinese position"
重點就是這句話.
acknowledged 英文用法都是"知道了"的意思.
