Nigel The Pig Attacks A Worker Who Gets 25 Stitches To Leg Losing His Job Nigel Moving Out. Nigel, a mixed-breed porcine, will be oinking all the way to greener pastures. The 280kg family pet who went rogue and attacked a man has been saved from becoming bacon. He will be re-homed on a farm in Victoria's northwest. The Herald Sun revealed yesterday how the huge hog escaped his enclosure and was roaming the streets of Seaford on Sunday before he pounced on resident Robert Dennis, tearing a 25cm gash in his leg. The attack sparked an investigation by Frankston Council. Owner Edward Weaver feared his much-loved pet would be sent to piggy heaven. But Frankston Council officers visited him late yesterday, and it was agreed that the pesky pig would be moved to a stud farm in Sea Lake.
"He's like a surrogate child. I love him and don't want to get rid of him," Mr Weaver said. "But if it means he won't be put down, then we are happy he is going out to a farm where he'll be able to roam around with all the girly pigs and share stories of his time in Frankston." Mr Weaver, 42, and wife Elaine raised the boisterous boar at their Frankston South home after saving him from the abattoir as a five-week-old piglet.
