Police have carried out search warrants in relation to their investigation into misconduct in public office, they said on Friday, following reports about the conduct of former UK ambassador to the US Peter Mandelson.

The police said they were carrying out search warrants at two addresses, one in the Wiltshire area and another in the Camden, north London.

The police added that they had not arrested the man involved in the investigation, who they said was a 72-year-old.

你可能覺得Epstein案是美國的事。

不是。

1月30日，美國司法部丟出超過三百萬頁檔案、兩千多支影片、十八萬張影像。這不是一個國家的醜聞，這是一張覆蓋全球權力頂層的蛛網。名單上有美國前總統、有英國王子、有科技巨頭、有諾貝爾獎得主──但真正讓我倒吸一口氣的，是挪威未來的王后。

挪威王儲妃Mette-Marit，在檔案中被提及超過一千次。

不是路人式的提及，是大量的私人郵件。她叫Epstein「小甜心」（sweetheart）。她寫：「你總是讓我微笑，因為你撩撥我的腦袋。」她問他什麼時候要來看她，說「我想念我那個瘋狂的朋友」。2013年，她借住了Epstein在佛州棕櫚灘的豪宅，住了四天。

而且她知道他是誰。

郵件顯示，她早在2011年就查過Epstein的背景，然後寫了一句：「看起來不太好」──後面接了一個笑臉。

一個笑臉。她查了一個已定罪的性犯罪者的背景，覺得「不太好」，然後繼續跟他當好朋友。繼續叫他小甜心。繼續去他家住。

這件事爆出來的同一週，她的親生兒子正在奧斯陸因為三十八項罪名受審，其中包括四項強姦罪。挪威首相公開說她「判斷力不佳」。民調顯示，只有四分之一的國民還支持她當未來的王后。皇家評論員直接說：這是挪威君主制史上最嚴重的危機。

但挪威只是冰山一角。

英國那邊，安德魯王子的故事大家可能聽過了──早就被剝奪軍銜和皇家職務。但最新炸開的是另一個人：Peter Mandelson，工黨元老，綽號「黑暗王子」，曾任商務大臣、歐盟貿易專員，2024年還被英國首相任命為駐美大使。

檔案顯示，他在擔任商務大臣期間，把歐盟五千億歐元紓困方案的機密提前告訴Epstein。還提前透露首相布朗要辭職的消息。銀行紀錄顯示Epstein匯了至少七萬五千美元給他和他的伴侶。

結果呢？2025年9月被炒掉大使職務。最新檔案一出，一週之內：退出工黨、辭去上議院終身議席。倫敦警方已經正式立案，罪名是「公職人員不當行為」。前首相布朗親自向警方提供資料，說他的行為「不可原諒且不愛國」。

一個幾個月前還在華府代表英國跟川普談貿易的人，現在是Epstein案中第一個被刑事調查的歐洲政治人物。

對了，還有安德魯王子的前妻Sarah Ferguson。她2011年公開道歉，說讓Epstein幫她還債是個錯誤，對媒體說：「我再也不會跟這個人有任何瓜葛。」結果兩個月後，她就寫信給Epstein：「我要上Oprah的節目了，如果被問到你，我該怎麼回答？」

Epstein親自幫她擬了回答稿：「小報不公平地把傑佛瑞描繪成戀童癖。他多年前已經認罪並償還了社會債務。」公開切割，私下求救。這就是這整個圈子的運作方式。

還沒完。

瑞典的索菲亞王妃，在嫁入皇室之前，曾以Epstein的賓客身分受邀參加紐約百老匯的私人放映會。丹麥現任國王弗雷德里克的名字出現在Epstein和商人之間的郵件裡。以色列前總理巴拉克跟Epstein的關係早已是公開的秘密。

你發現了嗎？這份名單的可怕之處不在於「哪個名人跟壞人認識」──每個圈子都會有這種事。可怕的是模式：這些人大多是在Epstein 2008年已經因為性犯罪被定罪之後，仍然選擇跟他保持關係。

挪威王儲妃查了他的背景，加了一個笑臉，繼續往來。Mandelson在Epstein坐完牢之後，繼續跟他分享國家機密。安德魯王子在Epstein出獄後，還邀請他來家裡住。

他們都知道。他們都選擇不在意。

為什麼？

因為在那個世界裡，一個已定罪的性犯罪者，只要他還有錢、還有人脈、還能幫你牽線搭橋，他就仍然是一個「有用的人」。你不會因為他對未成年少女做了什麼，就切斷一段對你有利的關係。

這不是某一個人的道德敗壞。這是一整個階層的運作邏輯。

你跟我不認識這種人，所以我們覺得不可思議。但對他們來說，這就是日常──「他有他的問題，但他對我很好」「圈子就這麼大，你不可能因為這種事就跟人斷交」。

聽起來是不是有點耳熟？

下一篇，我想聊一個更讓人崩潰的名字。他不是政客、不是商人、不是皇室──他是一個用一輩子批判權力的知識分子。然後他出現在了Epstein的名單上。

二十年前我在舊金山念心理學，有一堂課教授講到反社會型人格（antisocial personality）。他說了一句話我到現在還記得：「你們不要以為反社會人格都長得像連續殺人犯。去看看Fortune 500的CEO、去看看國會議員、去看看華爾街。菁英階層裡，這種人格的比例遠比你們想像的高。」

當時聽聽覺得很有趣，像是課堂上的一個冷知識。

二十年後，我看著三百萬頁Epstein檔案裡的那些名字──皇室、總統、科技巨頭、諾貝爾獎得主，突然覺得，那個教授根本不是在講冷知識，他是在講預言。

但說實話，我不覺得這些醜聞被揭發是壞事。

榮格（Carl Jung）講過一個概念：陰影（Shadow）。每個人的潛意識深處都有一個不願面對的自己，社會也一樣。當一個文明的集體陰影被壓得太久、藏得太深，它最終一定會以某種方式破土而出。不是透過革命，就是透過醜聞；不是透過戰爭，就是透過揭發。
Epstein檔案的公開，某種意義上，就是人類集體潛意識的自我清創。它很醜、很痛、很讓人噁心——但這正是療癒的前提。你不把傷口打開，就永遠不知道裡面爛了多深。

所以我覺得：這件事爆開來，是好事。

但接下來這個名字，讓我真的很難過。

Noam Chomsky。

如果你沒聽過這個名字：他是現代語言學之父，徹底改變了人類理解語言和認知的方式。但讓他成為傳奇的不只是學術──他同時是全世界最有影響力的公共知識分子之一，一輩子站在權力的對立面，批判美國外交政策、批判帝國主義、批判資本對民主的侵蝕。他是左翼知識分子心中的良心，很多人因為他才開始質疑主流敘事、才學會獨立思考。

然後他出現在Epstein的檔案裡。從私人郵件、旅行邀約、財務諮詢到公關建議，兩人的通訊橫跨數年，遍布數十份文件。

不是那種「某某人跟Epstein在同一場派對出現過」的程度。

是大量、持續、深入的私人往來。

檔案顯示，Chomsky跟Epstein的聯繫一直延續到2017年──那是Epstein 2008年定罪之後整整九年。他用過Epstein在紐約的公寓，去過Epstein在新墨西哥的牧場那個。那個牧場，是犯罪現場之一。

最讓人心碎的是一封2019年的郵件。Chomsky在信中對Epstein表示同情，說他被媒體的報導「糟蹋」了，建議他不要理會外界對性侵指控的「歇斯底里」。他稱Epstein有「無窮的好奇心、深刻的洞察力」，稱他是「極有價值的朋友」。

一個花了一輩子教我們辨認權力如何壓迫弱者的人，面對一個已定罪的性犯罪者壓迫未成年少女，他的反應是：「媒體太過歇斯底里了」。

Chomsky今年97歲，2023年中風後一直處於醫療休養狀態，無法回應。

我不想對一個病重的老人落井下石。但我也沒辦法假裝這不重要。

如果說Chomsky讓你看見純粹知識分子的陷落，那接下來這個人讓你看見的是另一種東西：學術和權力，本來就坐在同一張桌子上。

Larry Summers。

他是柯林頓時期的美國財政部長。他也是哈佛大學校長。他是美國學術界和政策圈最頂層的交叉點，一個人同時代表了「知識權威」和「政治權力」。

這次檔案曝光了他跟Epstein之間的多封電子郵件。兩個人在信裡互相八卦──對象包括時任總統川普。一個前財政部長和一個已定罪的性犯罪者，像老朋友一樣聊國家元首的八卦。

你覺得荒謬嗎？但這就是那個世界的日常。

而且不只是政治和語言學。

【Susie Li】〈愛普斯坦文件系列〉#3科技巨頭篇──「他們改變了世界取得資訊的方式，卻希望你永遠看不到這些郵件。」

前兩篇我們看了歐洲皇室和知識分子，這次輪到矽谷了。

先講結論：目前沒有證據顯示以下任何人參與了愛普斯坦的性犯罪，他們也都未被控任何罪行。但文件揭露的內容，跟他們過去公開說的，落差不小。

先說比爾· 蓋茲，因為他的部分最複雜。

蓋茲自己的說法是：2011年認識愛普斯坦，只是吃過幾頓晚餐，目的是透過他認識其他有錢人來替基金會募款。從未去過島上，從未見過任何女性。

但這次司法部釋出的文件裡，有一封愛普斯坦2013年寫給自己的電子郵件草稿。這封信從未寄出，裡面錯字連篇，但內容非常驚人。愛普斯坦在信中自稱擔任蓋茲的「左右手」長達七年，聲稱自己曾被要求做的事「從道德上不恰當，到倫理上不正當，甚至接近或越過違法的界線」。

他具體提到：幫蓋茲取得藥物以處理「與俄羅斯女孩發生性關係的後果」、協助安排與已婚女性的秘密約會，甚至說蓋茲要求他提供抗生素好偷偷給梅琳達服用，以掩蓋性病。

這些指控聽起來驚人，但必須強調一個關鍵背景：這是一封從未寄出的草稿。蓋茲的發言人稱這些是「一個已被證實的不滿騙子」的捏造，認為這只說明了愛普斯坦因無法維持與蓋茲的關係而產生的挫敗，以及他願意為了圈套和誹謗所做到的程度。

蓋茲本人這週在澳洲受訪時說：「那封信是假的。我跟他相處的每一分鐘我都後悔，我為此道歉。」

不過，有一個人的反應可能比文件本身更說明問題。

梅琳達· 蓋茲2月3日在NPR的訪談中說，看到這些新文件讓她感到「難以置信的悲傷」，帶回了「婚姻中非常、非常痛苦的記憶」。她說：「那些問題是留給那些人的──包括我的前夫。他們需要回答那些事情，不是我。我很高興已經遠離了那些骯髒。」她之前就已經透露，蓋茲與愛普斯坦的關係是她2021年決定離婚的原因之一。

愛普斯坦的指控究竟幾分真幾分假，目前無法定論。但一個枕邊人27年的人選擇離開、選擇公開要求對方「回答那些事情」，這件事本身就值得思考。

接下來是伊隆· 馬斯克。

馬斯克這幾年的公開立場一直很鮮明。他在X上多次發文說「愛普斯坦多次試圖讓我去他的島上，我拒絕了」，還在去年批評川普政府扣住愛普斯坦相關文件。他把自己塑造成推動文件公開的急先鋒。

但這次釋出的郵件講了一個不太一樣的故事。

2012年11月，愛普斯坦問馬斯克搭直升機到島上會帶幾個人。馬斯克回覆：「大概只有Talulah和我。」Talulah Riley是他當時的妻子。然後他問了一句：「你島上哪天晚上的派對最瘋狂？」

2013年11月，愛普斯坦再次提議派直升機接他。2013年12月，這次是馬斯克主動寫信：「假期期間會在英屬維京群島和聖巴泰勒米島附近，什麼時候方便去拜訪？」

愛普斯坦回覆說1號到8號都可以，會派直升機來接。馬斯克回了一聲「謝謝」。聖誕節當天，他又寫信問有沒有派對，說自己今年「工作到快瘋了」，想去好好放鬆。

目前無法確認馬斯克最終是否真的登上了那座島。但這些郵件的問題在於：不是愛普斯坦在追馬斯克，而是馬斯克在主動聯繫、主動安排、主動詢問「最瘋的派對在哪晚」。這跟「我拒絕了」的說法之間，有一段不小的距離。

而且馬斯克家族的牽涉不止於此。他的弟弟Kimbal Musk在文件中被提及至少140次。郵件顯示Kimbal與愛普斯坦之間有持續的社交往來，包括安排聚會、計劃見面。

2012年，Kimbal感謝愛普斯坦為他「介紹」了一名女性。愛普斯坦的朋友Boris Nikolic回信說Kimbal「最好對她好一點」，因為「Jeffrey對虐待他的女孩或朋友的人會發瘋」。Kimbal回覆：「訊息收到，清楚明白」，加了一個眨眼的表情符號。

2013年，愛普斯坦還邀請Kimbal到島上「放鬆幾天」。文件甚至顯示，愛普斯坦似乎在協調一名女性數個月間跨越多個大洲的旅行行程，以配合Kimbal的行蹤。

Kimbal目前沒有回應媒體的置評請求。他和Elon都是Tesla的董事會成員。

馬斯克在X上的回應是：「沒有人比我更努力推動公開愛普斯坦的文件。我知道會有人拿我的郵件來抹黑，但我從未參加過他的派對、從未搭過蘿莉快車、從未踏上那座島。」

最後是理查· 布蘭森，維珍集團的創辦人。

布蘭森在這三人裡相對涉入最淺，但有一封郵件非常引人注目。

2013年9月，愛普斯坦到布蘭森在加勒比海的私人島嶼Necker Island參加了一場商務會議。會後愛普斯坦寫信說：「很高興見到你，感謝招待，我很欣賞你的公關建議。」布蘭森第二天回覆：「昨天見到你真的很開心。水上運動的男孩們對這件事讚不絕口！任何時候你在附近都歡迎來。只要你帶上你的後宮（harem）！」

維珍集團的發言人解釋說，「harem」是愛普斯坦自己先用的詞，指的是隨行的三名成年女性工作人員，布蘭森只是複述。發言人還說，布蘭森曾建議愛普斯坦找蓋茲出面為他背書，但這是回應愛普斯坦主動提到自己的刑事紀錄和與蓋茲的顧問關係。

值得肯定的一點是，根據維珍的說法，當愛普斯坦後來提出慈善捐款時，布蘭森的團隊進行了盡職調查，在發現嚴重指控後拒絕了捐款，並切斷了所有聯繫。「如果當時就知道全部真相，絕不會有任何接觸。」

但「帶上你的後宮」這句話，不管上下文如何解釋，寫在一封給已登記性犯罪者的郵件裡，讀起來就是令人不舒服。

回頭看這三個人，有一個共同點：他們與愛普斯坦的往來，全部發生在2008年定罪之後。

這不是九〇年代的無知歲月。2008年之後，愛普斯坦因誘拐未成年人的性犯罪而被定罪並登記為性犯罪者，這是公開資訊。而蓋茲、馬斯克、布蘭森恰恰是這個星球上最有資源、最有能力進行背景調查的人。

他們選擇與一個已知的性犯罪者社交、吃飯、討論去他的島上、用他的直升機、請他安排女性、給他公關建議──然後在事情曝光後說「我後悔了」或「那只是誤解」。

沒有人指控他們犯了罪。但「沒犯罪」和「沒問題」之間，還有很大一段距離。

【Susie Li】艾普斯坦的保險箱裡有四本護照──你連一本護照被拒簽都得等三個月

對普通人來說，身份是枷鎖。
對權貴來說，身份是戲服。

「這本護照是為了防綁架用的。」

這是艾普斯坦的律師在法庭上的辯解。2019 年 FBI 搜查他位於曼哈頓上東區的豪宅時，在保險箱裡發現了一本過期的奧地利護照，旁邊放著七萬美元現金和四十八顆散裝鑽石。護照上貼著艾普斯坦的照片，名字卻是「Marius Fortelni」，居住地填的是沙烏地阿拉伯。

律師說，這是一位猶太裔美國富商在中東旅行時的自保手段──萬一遭遇劫機或綁架，可以出示一個非猶太身份來保命。聽起來幾乎合理，甚至帶著一絲電影感。

但問題是，這本護照上蓋滿了法國、西班牙、英國和沙烏地阿拉伯的出入境章。更弔詭的是，Marius Fortelni 是一個真實存在的奧地利房地產開發商，確實在八〇年代住過沙烏地阿拉伯。

換句話說，這不是一本粗製濫造的假證件，而是精準複製了一個真人的生命軌跡，再把艾普斯坦的臉貼上去。

情報分析人士指出，這是典型的「傳奇身份」建構手法──不是憑空捏造一個人，而是寄生在一個真實存在的人身上，讓假身份經得起背景調查。能做到這件事的，通常不是個人，而是國家級的情報機構。

你的護照定義你，他的護照服務他

這讓我想到一件事。

對絕大多數人而言，護照是一種束縛。它決定了你能去哪裡、不能去哪裡，你在海關排哪條隊伍，你需要提前多久申請簽證，你會不會在入境時被多問幾個問題。一本護照背後是你的國籍、你的階級、你與國家之間那條看不見的繩索。

我們排隊、填表、等待、被拒簽、再申請。每一個出入境章都是與體制搏鬥的痕跡。

但對艾普斯坦這樣的人來說，護照只是一件道具。名字可以換，國籍可以選，住址可以指向一個從未真正居住過的國家。當你有足夠的錢和足夠的人脈，「身份」就不再是你是誰的證明，而是你想成為誰的選擇。

用後現代的話來說──我們活在一個「身份是被建構的」時代，但建構的權力從來不是均等分配的。有人花一輩子證明自己是誰，有人花一通電話決定自己要是誰。

當複製品比原件更好用

這其實不是什麼新鮮事。電影裡我們早就看慣了。乍看之下 Jason Bourne 在每個國家掏出不同護照、007 換一個名字就能穿越邊境，觀眾覺得帥、覺得刺激。

那是因為在虛構的敘事裡，「偽造身份」被包裝成一種超能力──只有最聰明、最危險的人才擁有。

然而當虛構變成現實，帥氣就瞬間消失了。

艾普斯坦的假護照用的是真人的名字、真實的居住地、真實的出入境章。它不是一個拙劣的仿冒品，而是一個比原件運作得更順暢的複製品。布希亞說過，當擬像比現實更有效率的時候，我們就再也分不清什麼是真、什麼是假。

這本護照正是如此──它在國境系統裡暢行無阻，而一個主權國家卻說「查不到它的來源」。

沈默本身就是一種特權的語言

最諷刺的部分是奧地利政府的反應。

當美國當局聯繫維也納詢問這本護照的來源時，奧地利內政部的回覆是：「調查無法確認該護照的存在。」

一本蓋滿出入境章、躺在 FBI 證物室裡的實體護照，一個主權國家說它查不到來源。

這不是無能，這是沈默。而沈默，從來都是權力最優雅的語言。

邊界從來只是為我們而設的

所以與其說艾普斯坦的假護照是一個犯罪證據，不如說它是一面鏡子──映照出「身份」這件事在不同階層之間的巨大落差。

我們努力證明自己是誰，他們則輕鬆選擇自己要是誰。

那本護照上的出入境章，每一個都是一道穿越體制的裂縫。而那些裂縫，從來不是為我們打開的。

也許真正讓人不安的不是「有人可以偽造身份」這件事本身，而是它讓我們意識到──對某些人來說，整個世界本來就沒有邊界。

邊界，從來只是為我們而設的。

「他挑的從來不是最漂亮的女孩，而是最孤單的。」

1997年，一個15歲的荷蘭女孩在家鄉 Almere 被星探發掘，幾個月後站上了法國尼斯的舞台，贏得 Elite Model Look 國際大賽冠軍。接下來的十年，她成為 Ralph Lauren 和 Calvin Klein 的簽約模特、Victoria's Secret 的天使、荷蘭版 Next Top Model 的主持人。

她的名字是 Yfke Sturm。

2026年1月30日，美國司法部釋出超過三百萬頁的 Epstein 調查文件。Sturm 的名字出現了數十次──包括與這位已定罪性犯罪者之間的私人郵件、簡訊，以及高度露骨的對話。

故事要從2011年說起。

根據荷蘭媒體 Hart van Nederland 取得的文件，Epstein 在那年12月第一次寫信給 Sturm，請她幫忙物色新助理。條件很具體：不超過25歲的年輕男女，願意長時間工作，願意頻繁旅行。

這是2011年，Epstein 在2008年已經因誘拐未成年人被定罪並登記為性犯罪者。這是公開資訊。

但 Epstein 知道怎麼讓自己看起來無害。他開始介入 Sturm 的私人生活──當時她正與前夫 Imad Izemrane 辦理離婚。Epstein 提供經濟援助、介紹離婚律師，甚至指導她該怎麼跟前夫談判，包括威脅公開她多年來在財務上支持對方的事實。

幫忙、建議、資源。這是他接近每一個目標的方式。

然後，邊界開始移動。

2012年2月，Epstein 寫信指導她如何拍照：「擺出按摩的姿勢。拍得非常、非常性感。」幾天後，他要求更多照片。

同年3月，Epstein 和伍迪乙艾倫包場參觀巴黎奧賽美術館後，寫信給 Sturm。他提到館內竇加畫的沐浴裸女，然後用極其露骨的語言描述他對她身體的幻想。

2012年12月，一封從 Sturm 信箱發出的郵件問 Epstein，他島上有沒有「可愛的女孩」。

之後聯繫逐漸減少。2015年，Sturm 告訴 Epstein 她懷孕了。

這週，Sturm 透過荷蘭電視節目 RTL Boulevard 發表聲明。

「首先，我的心與那些受到傷害的女性和女孩同在。我相信她們，我支持她們，我毫無保留地譴責她們所經歷的虐待。」

她說自己當時「很天真，不完全了解 Epstein 是誰，或他造成的傷害」，稱這段往來是「嚴重的判斷錯誤」。

我不知道該怎麼評價這份聲明。它比許多科技巨頭的切割話術誠實得多。但它也讓人看見一件事：連一個在時尚圈打滾多年、見過無數權貴的女人，都沒能在第一時間辨認出 Epstein 是什麼人。

這說明的不是她的愚蠢，而是他的技術。

Sturm 不是唯一的荷蘭模特。

同一批文件裡，另一個名字浮出水面：Sylvia Geersen。她告訴荷蘭《電訊報》，將近二十年前，Epstein 開始頻繁聯繫她。一開始還算正常，後來越來越越界。他要求她介紹模特朋友給他，抱怨自己為她做了這麼多，她卻不配合。「他變得很煩，問我為什麼不幫他從荷蘭找女孩。」

有一次，她在他紐約的公寓裡。他當著她的面自慰。

「他沒有碰我，但他就在我面前做那些事，讓我嚇呆了。」她說。「我當時21歲，完全被嚇到了。那段期間發生的事，我從來不敢跟任何人說。那是創傷。」

Geersen 說，時隔這麼多年被迫面對這些，讓她的生活「徹底翻覆」。

模特圈是 Epstein 最重要的獵場之一。

這不是祕密。他的核心共犯之一是 Jean-Luc Brunel，一個法國模特經紀人，旗下曾有無數超模。多名女性指控他性侵，法國當局對他展開強暴罪調查。2022年，他在巴黎的監獄裡上吊自殺。

FBI 的調查圖表顯示，Epstein 的運作系統中有至少六名女性擔任「招募者」──負責接觸受害者或引介新目標。其中五個人的照片在文件中被完全遮黑。只有一個人的臉沒被遮：Ghislaine Maxwell，目前正在服二十年刑期。

那五個人是誰？為什麼她們的身份被保護？她們是共犯，還是也曾經是受害者？

沒有人知道。

但我們知道另一件事。

這次司法部釋出的三百萬頁文件裡，本來應該被遮黑保護的，是受害者的身份。結果恰恰相反。

受害者 Annie Farmer 說，她16歲時被 Epstein 和 Maxwell 性侵。這次文件公開後，她的生日和電話號碼都被暴露了。「這讓我非常憤怒。他們的做法已經超越粗心，簡直令人髮指。」

另一位受害者 Anouska de Georgiou 的駕照出現在文件裡。她指控政府「對受害者的安全和福祉嚴重漠視」。

有未成年受害者的裸照被公開。有從未公開身份的受害者，警方報告裡的名字完全沒有遮黑。

律師 Jennifer Freeman 說得很直接：「他們遮住了加害者的名字，卻暴露了倖存者。」

這讓我想起那本護照。

Epstein 的保險箱裡有一本假護照，上面貼著他的照片，名字卻是別人的。奧地利政府說「查不到來源」。一個主權國家選擇沈默。

現在，美國司法部釋出了三百萬頁文件，說自己已經履行了法律義務。但那些應該被追究的名字被遮黑了，那些應該被保護的名字卻被公開了。五百名審查人員花了幾個月的時間，最後交出的成果是：狗的名字被遮黑了，受害者的社會安全號碼卻沒有。

這不是失誤，這是結構。

Epstein 死了，Maxwell 在服刑，Brunel 也死了。但那張招募網絡的圖表上還有五個被遮黑的臉孔，而那些被她們傷害過的女孩，名字卻在網路上流傳。

權力保護的從來不是受害者。權力保護的是自己。

2025年4月，Virginia Giuffre 自殺身亡。

她是 Epstein 案最知名的受害者。16歲時在 Mar-a-Lago 工作，被 Maxwell 招募，之後被販運給 Epstein 和他的朋友們──包括 Prince Andrew。她花了十幾年時間站出來指控這些人，成立了受害者倡議組織，寫了回憶錄。

這些年她經歷了什麼？

Maxwell 在2015年寫給 Epstein 的一封草稿郵件裡，稱她「純粹為了金錢利益」編造「淫穢指控」，說她只不過是「漢堡店的服務員」。Prince Andrew 在 BBC 訪問中質疑那張著名合照的真實性。她的每一句證詞都被放大檢視、被質疑、被攻擊。

她死後，她的家人發表聲明：「Virginia 是一個說真話的人。」

這週，這批新文件終於「證實」了她說過的許多事。這些文件包括 Maxwell 親筆寫的、承認 Giuffre 在2001年見過 Prince Andrew 的郵件──這直接與 Maxwell 後來對司法部的說法矛盾。

但 Giuffre 已經不在了。她沒有等到這一天。

Yfke Sturm 在聲明的最後說：「我希望那些女性能得到正義。」

我也希望。但我越來越不確定「正義」在這個案子裡是什麼意思。

當加害者的臉被遮黑，受害者的裸照被公開；當一個名模願意承認自己的「判斷錯誤」，而擁有世界上最多資源的男人們還在說「那只是誤解」──正義開始變得像是一個只對某些人開放的入口。

就像邊界。就像那些護照。

有人一輩子努力證明自己是誰，有人花一通電話決定自己要是誰。

有人花幾十年鼓起勇氣說出真相，結果名字被公開、駕照被外洩、裸照在網路上流傳。

她們付出了一切。而那些應該被看見的名字，還遮在黑色方塊後面。

英國：最徹底的清洗

Peter Mandelson 是英國政壇最懂得生存的人。

他在1998年因為沒有申報一筆私人貸款而辭職。2001年又因為涉嫌干預一位富商的英國公民申請而辭職。兩次醜聞，兩次復出。英國媒體給他起了個綽號：「黑暗王子」。

2025年初，首相 Keir Starmer 任命他為駐美大使──這是一個需要在 Trump 政府面前代表英國利益的關鍵職位。

然後 Epstein 文件開始公開。

第一波是2003年的生日書。Mandelson 親筆寫道：Epstein 是他的「best pal」，最好的朋友。

第二波是2008年的郵件。Epstein 入獄前一天，Mandelson 寫信說：「我非常看重你，對發生的事感到無助和憤怒。這種事在英國根本不可能發生。」

Starmer 開除了他。

第三波是上週。文件顯示他在擔任商業大臣期間，疑似將英國政府的經濟政策外洩給 Epstein。2010年5月10日，他寫信告訴 Epstein：「終於讓他今天走了」──隔天，首相 Gordon Brown 宣布辭職。

銀行紀錄顯示，Epstein 向 Mandelson 或他伴侶相關的帳戶匯了至少七萬五千美元。

這週，Brown 親自寫信給倫敦警察廳，主動提供證據指控他的前內閣成員。Brown 說：「這是不可原諒的、不愛國的行為。」

Starmer 在國會說：「Mandelson 背叛了我們的國家。」

Mandelson 退出了工黨、辭去上議院席位、面臨刑事調查。黑暗王子這次沒有復出的機會了。

這就是英國的邏輯：你破壞了公眾信任，你就必須付出代價。不需要等到法院定罪，政治代價立刻執行。你的前老闆會主動舉報你，你的首相會在國會說你背叛國家。

挪威：連豁免權都要撤銷

Thorbjørn Jagland 曾經是挪威首相、歐洲理事會秘書長、諾貝爾和平獎委員會主席。

文件顯示他與 Epstein 長期通訊，曾計劃帶家人去 Epstein 的私人島嶼度假（後來取消），還請 Epstein 幫忙買房子。有報導指他在信中提到「extraordinary girls」。

挪威警方對他展開「嚴重腐敗」調查。但 Jagland 作為前國際組織領導人，享有外交豁免權。

挪威外交部長的回應是：啟動程序，要求歐洲理事會撤銷他的豁免權。

「讓事實水落石出很重要，」外交部長說。「我已決定挪威將向歐洲理事會部長委員會提議撤銷 Jagland 的豁免權。」

同一週，挪威駐約旦大使 Mona Juul 被免職。世界經濟論壇主席、前挪威外交部長 Børge Brende 也被點名，論壇宣布將由風險委員會調查他與 Epstein 的通訊。

這就是挪威的邏輯：豁免權不是用來躲避調查的。如果你有問題，我們會主動拆掉保護你的屏障。

斯洛伐克和瑞典：立刻辭職

斯洛伐克的 Miroslav Lajčák──前外交部長、聯合國大會主席、現任總理顧問──在文件公開後立刻辭職。

他說：「當我今天讀那些訊息，我覺得自己像個傻瓜。那是私人對話，至少可以說是判斷失誤。我正在為此付出代價。」

瑞典的 Joanna Rubinstein 辭去了聯合國難民署瑞典分會主席的職務，因為文件顯示她曾在2012年造訪 Epstein 的私人島嶼。她說當時不知道他犯罪的全貌，但董事會接受了她的辭職，以「保護機構的聲譽」。

這就是北歐的邏輯：機構的聲譽比個人的辯解重要。你可以說你不知道，但你還是要走。

法國：我清白如雪

同一週，法國前文化部長 Jack Lang 在接受電台訪問時說：「我什麼都不怕，我清白如雪。」

他的名字在 Epstein 文件中出現超過 673次。

他在2017年寫信感謝 Epstein 的「非凡慷慨」和「美好時光」──那是 Epstein 定罪將近十年後。他借用 Epstein 的私人飛機去馬拉喀什旅行。他幫 Epstein 介紹房產，報價「540萬歐元，離岸交易」。他試圖促成 Epstein 與總統 Macron 的聯繫。

他的女兒 Caroline Lang 與 Epstein 在美屬維京群島共同成立了一家公司 Prytanee LLC，帳戶裡有約120萬歐元。Epstein 提供了100%的資本，Caroline 持有一半股份。

更驚人的是：Caroline Lang 被列為 Epstein 遺囑的受益人之一，金額高達 500萬歐元。她說自己完全不知情，是看了媒體報導才知道。

Caroline 本週被迫辭去她擔任僅三週的獨立電影製作工會總代表職務。她說：「我無法與這些女性所遭受的暴行相比，但我覺得自己也是一名受害者。」

但她的父親 Jack Lang 拒絕辭去阿拉伯世界研究所所長一職。他說：「當你交一個朋友時，你不會去查對方的履歷。」

法國外交部傳喚了他。總統府表示 Lang 應該「考慮到他所任職的機構」。左派和右派都有人呼籲他辭職。

但他不辭。

為什麼？

我讀到一篇很有意思的分析。作者「法國生活日記」指出，法國政治文化的核心邏輯是「法律責任大於道德責任」。一個官員要不要下台，關鍵往往不在輿論壓力，而在於司法上有沒有被定罪。

對法國人來說，辭職反而像是變相認罪──既然沒有被判刑、沒有被正式起訴，「我為什麼要辭？」辭了職，不就等於承認自己有錯嗎？

法國人也不太信任「秀場式辭職」。他們會問：辭了職，問題就解決了嗎？風頭過了，這些人不是照樣會復出嗎？與其做姿態，不如留下來把事情處理完。

這解釋了 Lang 的態度。他沒有被起訴，所以他選擇留下。

美國：同意作證就是新聞

Bill Clinton 的名字在文件中反覆出現。

2016年的證詞顯示，Epstein 被問到任何關於 Clinton 的問題時，都援引第五修正案拒絕回答──這是美國憲法賦予的緘默權，通常用於避免自證其罪。

一封2009年的郵件提到，在 Ghislaine Maxwell 家舉辦的電影派對上，「Bill Clinton 和 Jeff Bezos 都在場」。

眾議院監督委員會傳喚了 Clinton 夫婦作證。他們原本拒絕，委員會威脅要以藐視國會罪起訴。本週，他們同意出席。

Hillary Clinton 說她與 Epstein 沒有實質互動，從未搭過他的飛機，也從未去過他的私人島嶼。Bill Clinton 說他對 Epstein 的犯罪行為毫不知情，並對這段關係表示後悔。

這就是美國的邏輯：一切交給國會聽證和媒體審判。「同意作證」本身就是新聞標題。實際上說了什麼、有沒有後果，那是另一回事。

現任商務部長 Howard Lutnick 也在文件中──2012年他試圖約 Epstein 在他的私人島嶼共進晚餐，2015年他邀請 Epstein 參加 Hillary Clinton 的政治籌款會。

他的發言人說：「Lutnick 部長與 Epstein 先生的互動有限，都是在他太太陪同下進行，他從未被指控有任何不當行為。」

他繼續當他的部長。

對比：同一份名單，不同的世界

讓我們把這些放在一起看：

🇬🇧 英國：前老闆主動舉報，首相公開譴責「背叛國家」，刑事調查立刻展開，政治生涯徹底終結。

🇳🇴 挪威：政府主動要求撤銷豁免權，外交部長說「讓事實水落石出很重要」，大使被免職。

🇸🇰🇸🇪 斯洛伐克/瑞典：立刻辭職，承認「判斷失誤」，機構聲譽優先於個人辯解。

🇫🇷 法國：「我清白如雪」，未被起訴就不辭職，辭職等於認罪。

🇺🇸 美國：同意作證就是勝利，實際後果待定，現任官員繼續任職。

這不是在說哪個國家比較「進步」或比較「文明」。每個社會都有自己處理醜聞的邏輯，都有自己對「問責」的定義。

但這些邏輯有一個共同的盲點：它們都是關於加害者的。

誰該辭職，誰該被調查，誰的聲明比較有誠意，誰的道歉比較到位──這些討論佔據了所有的版面。

而那些被傷害的人呢？

這週，美國司法部承認他們在文件中錯誤公開了至少31名未成年受害者的身份。

一位受害者說，她的名字、生日、電話號碼都被暴露了。另一位說她收到了死亡威脅。還有人說她的裸照出現在網路上。

律師 Jennifer Freeman 說：「他們遮住了加害者的名字，卻暴露了倖存者。」

2025年4月，Virginia Giuffre 自殺身亡。

她花了十幾年站出來指控 Epstein、Maxwell 和 Prince Andrew。她被 Maxwell 在郵件裡稱為「只不過是漢堡店服務員」，被質疑動機，被攻擊可信度。

這週公開的文件終於「證實」了她說過的許多事──包括 Maxwell 親筆承認 Giuffre 確實在2001年見過 Prince Andrew。

但 Giuffre 已經不在了。

而 Caroline Lang 說：「我覺得自己也是一名受害者。」

所以當我們討論 Mandelson 該不該坐牢、Lang 該不該辭職、Clinton 會不會說實話的時候，也許我們應該記住一件事：

這些人有律師、有公關、有政治資本、有選擇。

他們可以選擇辭職或不辭職。可以選擇道歉或不道歉。可以選擇說「我被騙了」、「我是受害者」、或「我清白如雪」。

那些真正被 Epstein 傷害的人沒有這些選擇。

她們當時是青少年，被權力和金錢包圍，被告知這是「正常的」。多年後她們鼓起勇氣說出真相，卻發現自己的名字被公開、裸照被外洩、收到死亡威脅──而那些本該被追究的人還在討論要不要配合調查。

這不是英國文化或法國文化或美國文化的問題。

這是權力的問題。

權力讓你可以選擇怎麼面對醜聞。沒有權力的人連選擇都沒有。

2009年，波蘭克拉科夫。

一封電郵從這座古城發出，收件人是紐約的 Jeffrey Epstein。

寫信的人叫 Daniel Siad，是 Epstein 的「星探」之一。他在信中報告進度：「我在波蘭已經有一些女孩了。」（"I has some girls allready in Poland"，原文拼錯）他特別提到克拉科夫這座城市。

但這只是冰山一角。

根據 TVP World 記者 Matthew Day 的分析，Epstein 的團隊在中東歐的招募方式不只是透過模特經紀公司。他們會開車穿過鄉村，尋找年輕女孩──特別是來自貧窮或破碎家庭的。他們承諾金錢、公寓、教育機會。

證人證詞顯示，在2000年代初期，這個網絡的規模驚人：每週大約五名未成年女孩。

華沙則是整個運作的交通樞紐──女孩從這裡被送往西歐和美國。

十七年後，2026年2月，波蘭總理 Donald Tusk 站在內閣會議前宣布：「我們決定成立分析小組，調查這個撒旦圈子。」

他說的「撒旦圈子」，指的就是 Epstein。

Tusk 說，文件顯示有人在克拉科夫告訴 Epstein，他們手上有「一群女人或女孩」可以提供給他。「還有更多這樣的線索。」

但 Tusk 的關注點不只是受害者。他說，文件中有超過一千份文件直接涉及 Vladimir Putin，超過九千次提到俄羅斯。越來越多安全專家認為，Epstein 的網絡可能是一場經典的 KGB 式「甜蜜陷阱」──用性來勒索有權勢的人。

「如果俄羅斯情報機構參與組織了這個計畫，」Tusk 說，「那只能意味著一件事：他們手上可能握有許多今天仍活躍的領導人的把柄。」

這就是為什麼波蘭把這件事當成國家安全議題，而不只是刑事案件。

Epstein 文件在一月底公開後，歐洲各國的反應幾乎是同步的。

立陶宛總統 Nausėda 要求「有原則的執法調查」。文件中出現多名立陶宛模特和藝術界人士的名字。Midsummer Vilnius 音樂節的組織者 Valdas Petreikis 被列為收到 Epstein 付款的人，部分藝人隨即宣布抵制該音樂節。

拉脫維亞總統 Rinkēvičs 在看到公共廣播的報導後下令調查。文件中包含多名拉脫維亞女性的護照資料和旅行紀錄。Natalie 模特經紀公司被點名，負責人否認知情。

土耳其檢察官早在2025年12月就開始調查。文件據稱顯示 Epstein「從土耳其、捷克、亞洲及其他國家運送未成年女孩，其中許多人不會說英語」。

挪威則計劃對外交部啟動調查，因為前外長 Jagland、現任世界經濟論壇主席 Brende、駐約旦大使 Mona Juul 都出現在文件中。

這些調查有一個共同點：它們都指向同一個問題──Epstein 的「貨源」從哪裡來？

答案之一，是時尚產業。

Jean-Luc Brunel 是法國模特經紀人，1980年代創立 Karin Models，曾發掘超模 Christy Turlington（當時她14歲）。2005年，他創立了 MC2 Model Management，Epstein 投資「高達一百萬美元」。

公司名稱 MC2 是個暗號──取自愛因斯坦的質能方程式 E=mc²，向「Epstein」致敬。

Virginia Giuffre 在證詞中說，Epstein 曾向她炫耀：「我睡過超過一千個 Brunel 的女孩。」

MC2 的運作模式是這樣的：從東歐、南美招募年輕女孩，以「模特工作」為名，用 H-1B「特殊人才簽證」將她們帶到美國。前 MC2 簿記員作證說，Epstein 直接支付這些簽證費用。文件顯示，Brunel 相關的經紀公司為來自斯洛伐克、白俄羅斯的模特申請簽證。這些女孩的年薪據報約10萬美元，但教育程度有限──她們不是來工作的，她們是被運送的。

Brunel 在 Epstein 的飛行紀錄中出現25趟。2008年 Epstein 入獄期間，Brunel 探監超過70次。

2019年，Brunel 還在烏克蘭基輔創立了 1Mother Agency──又一個「模特經紀公司」。

2020年，他在法國被捕，面臨強姦未成年人指控。

2022年，他在巴黎監獄上吊身亡。和 Epstein 一樣。

但 Brunel 只是供應鏈的一環。Epstein 的天才──如果可以這樣說──在於他把受害者變成了招募者。

Courtney Wild 14歲時第一次見到 Epstein。她來自佛羅里達，母親有毒癮，家庭不穩定，正是 Epstein 瞄準的對象。

她後來在《邁阿密先驅報》的調查中說：「到我16歲的時候，我大概已經帶了70到80個女孩給他，都是14、15歲的。他介入我的生活好幾年。」

負責調查的棕櫚灘警探 Joseph Recarey 描述了典型的訪談模式：「女孩們會說：『我是被某某帶去的。我對發生的事情不舒服，但我拿到很多錢。他們告訴我，如果我不舒服，我可以帶別人來，還是可以拿錢。』」

這就是《邁阿密先驅報》記者 Julie K. Brown 所說的「性金字塔騙局」（sex pyramid scheme）。

運作方式是這樣的：先瞄準弱勢女孩，貧困的、家庭有問題的、需要錢的。用「按摩工作」為名招募，給200到300美元。性侵後，付錢讓她們帶更多女孩來。當她們「太老」，超過 Epstein 喜歡的年齡，就轉為全職招募者。每帶一個新人可得數百美元佣金。

這個系統的邪惡之處在於：受害者一旦開始招募，她們就不再只是受害者了。她們手上也有了別人的血。這讓她們更難開口舉報，也更容易被威脅。

FBI 繪製的 Epstein 內部圈子圖顯示，核心招募者有六名女性。五個人的照片被遮黑，只有 Ghislaine Maxwell 的臉是清楚的。

那五個人是誰？她們現在在哪裡？她們當年是加害者，還是也曾經是受害者？

文件沒有回答這些問題。

把所有線索連起來，Epstein 的版圖浮現了。

招募地點遍布全球：美國佛羅里達的棕櫚灘高中和 Mar-a-Lago、波蘭克拉科夫、立陶宛和拉脫維亞的模特圈、烏克蘭基輔。土耳其檢察官的文件還指控他從土耳其、捷克、亞洲運送女孩。

輸送管道是一系列模特經紀公司：紐約和邁阿密的 MC2 Model Management、巴黎的 Karin Models、基輔的 1Mother Agency。H-1B 簽證系統讓這一切看起來合法。

目的地則是 Epstein 的物業帝國：紐約曼哈頓豪宅、佛羅里達棕櫚灘豪宅、新墨西哥州 Zorro 牧場、美屬維京群島的私人島嶼 Little St. James。他也帶隨行人員前往巴黎、倫敦、泰國，但這部分的細節仍待更多文件公開。

私人飛機「Lolita Express」機上有床，用於在這些地點之間運送女孩。飛行紀錄顯示大量東歐國籍乘客。

知道太多的人，似乎都死了。

Jean-Luc Brunel，2022年，巴黎監獄，上吊。

Jeffrey Epstein，2019年，紐約監獄，上吊。

Virginia Giuffre，2025年4月，自殺。她是最著名的受害者，也是最堅持追究真相的人。

波蘭管家 Janusz Banasiak 在 Epstein 的棕櫚灘豪宅工作了二十年。他知道保險箱密碼，負責記錄行事曆，支付「按摩師」的費用，親眼目睹一切。他的名字出現在最新公開的文件中。

他還活著。但他會說話嗎？

2026年2月，波蘭、立陶宛、拉脫維亞、土耳其、挪威都啟動了調查。

美國呢？

副司法部長 Todd Blanche 在接受 Fox News 訪問時說：「和 Epstein 一起開派對不是犯罪。」

他說，司法部的「審查已經結束」，不會有更多起訴。

同一週，19名 Epstein 受害者發表聯合聲明：「這次文件公開被包裝成『透明』，但它實際上做的是曝光倖存者。我們的名字和個資再一次被公開，而那些侵犯我們的男人繼續被隱藏和保護。」

司法部公開了三百萬頁文件。但受害者的名字沒遮好，加害者的名字卻遮得很緊。

這不是疏忽。這是選擇。

【Susie Li】Jeffrey Epstein的錢從哪裡來？──一個沒人能解釋的財富帝國

他是布魯克林工人家庭出身的孩子。父親是公園管理員，母親是保險公司秘書。

他大學輟學，沒有學位。

他在曼哈頓一所私立學校教高中數學，年薪不到兩萬美元。

然後，他成了億萬富翁。

Jeffrey Epstein 的財富是整個案件中最大的謎團之一。他自稱只服務「淨資產超過十億美元」的客戶，但沒有人能說清楚他的錢到底從哪裡來，也沒有人能說清楚他到底做了什麼。

《紐約時報》2025年12月的調查標題很直接：「詐騙、陰謀、無情的騙局：Jeffrey Epstein 致富的真實故事」。

調查結論更直接：「他偷的。」（"He stole it."）

讓我們從頭說起。

1970年代，年輕的 Epstein 在 Dalton School 教數學。這是曼哈頓最頂尖的私立學校之一，學生都是富豪子女。其中一個學生的父親是 Bear Stearns 的未來執行長 Alan Greenberg。

這個關係讓 Epstein 在1976年進入 Bear Stearns，成為交易員。但他沒待多久──據報導，他因為違反公司規定而離開。

接下來的幾年，Epstein 做了什麼，沒有人完全清楚。他自稱是「高級賞金獵人」，幫超級富豪追回被騙走的錢。他在1982年成立了自己的公司，聲稱只接受十億美元以上的客戶。

問題是：一個沒有學歷、沒有資歷、沒有業績紀錄的人，怎麼能說服億萬富翁把錢交給他？

答案是：他不斷說謊，直到有人相信為止。

1980年代末，Epstein 遇到了他的第一個──也是唯一一個公開的──億萬富翁客戶：Leslie Wexner。

Wexner 是 Victoria's Secret、Bath & Body Works、Abercrombie & Fitch 的創辦人，身價數十億美元。1991年，他做了一件不尋常的事：他把自己的財務全權委託書（Power of Attorney）交給了 Epstein。

這意味著 Epstein 可以用 Wexner 的名義買賣房產、簽支票、借錢、雇人──做任何事。

接下來發生的事情，至今沒有完整的解釋。

Wexner 在1989年用1320萬美元買下曼哈頓東71街的一棟豪宅。到2011年，這棟房子的所有權被轉移到 Epstein 名下的信託，價格是零美元。

Epstein 的私人飛機「Lolita Express」，原本也是 Wexner 公司的資產。

2007年，Wexner 宣布和 Epstein 斷絕關係。他在2019年的一封信中說，他發現 Epstein「挪用了大筆資金」。他說至少有4600萬美元被追回，但這只是「一部分」。

《華盛頓郵報》記者 Sarah Ellison 估計，Wexner 在整個合作期間支付給 Epstein 的金額可能高達四億美元。

「Wexner 以好訟聞名，」Ellison 說，「但他卻不追究 Epstein 偷了數百萬美元？這完全無法解釋。」

Wexner 不是唯一一個付給 Epstein 難以解釋的巨款的人。

Leon Black 是私募基金巨頭 Apollo Global Management 的創辦人，身價約一百億美元。2012年到2017年間，他支付給 Epstein 總計1.58億美元。

這筆錢據稱是「稅務和遺產規劃」服務費。

問題是：Epstein 不是持牌稅務律師，也不是註冊會計師。他沒有任何正式資格提供這種服務。

更奇怪的是，根據 Black 自己的律師說法，Epstein 的很多建議「經不起仔細檢視」，而且需要其他專業人士「不斷審核」。有些建議根本「沒有用」。

那為什麼還要付1.58億？

參議院財政委員會主席 Ron Wyden 花了四年調查這件事。他的結論是：「一個知名華爾街億萬富翁會毫無書面合約就付給 Jeffrey Epstein 一億美元，這件事本身就很可疑。我不禁懷疑這到底是合法的稅務規劃，還是 Black 因為某些未說明的原因而覺得有義務付這些錢。」

2023年，Black 支付6250萬美元給美屬維京群島，換取刑事豁免。和解書中有一句話特別值得注意：「Jeffrey Epstein 用 Black 付給他的錢，部分資助了他在維京群島的運作。」

換句話說：Black 的錢，資助了 Epstein 的性販運行動。

銀行也是共犯。

JPMorgan Chase 從1998年到2013年是 Epstein 的銀行。即使在2008年 Epstein 因性犯罪被定罪後，銀行仍然讓他繼續持有帳戶。內部員工多次提交可疑活動報告，指出 Epstein 頻繁提取大額現金，但銀行視而不見。

2023年，JPMorgan 支付2.9億美元和解受害者集體訴訟。

Epstein 被 JPMorgan 開除後，轉到 Deutsche Bank。德銀從2013年到2018年為他服務，同樣忽視了明顯的警訊。

2023年，Deutsche Bank 支付7500萬美元和解。

Epstein 確實有一個叫 Zorro Trust 的信託。他用它來管理他在新墨西哥州的 Zorro Ranch，也用它來向政客捐款。

當天開獎還發生了「電腦故障」，電視直播被取消，改由審計公司監督。

受害者律師在 Epstein 飛行員 Larry Visoski 的作證中直接問到這筆彩票。

《The Oklahoman》後來報導說，中獎者是便利店對面超市的一名女員工，只是「碰巧」用了同名的信託。

入獄第二天、同名信託、電腦故障──這麼多巧合？

也許真的只是巧合。但在 Epstein 的世界裡，巧合太多了。

還有一個謎團：Towers Financial。

1980年代末，Epstein 和 Steven Hoffenberg 合作。Hoffenberg 是 Towers Financial Corporation 的老闆，後來被證明是當時美國史上最大的龐氏騙局之一，詐騙投資人超過四億美元。

Hoffenberg 1995年認罪，被判20年。出獄後，他開始公開指控 Epstein 是他的「共謀」。

「他非常擅長非法轉移金錢，」Hoffenberg 說。「他是完成任務的更深層設計師。」

「你們即將看到一個關於這個所謂億萬富翁的完整故事，他的金融帝國和對女孩們的悲劇一樣大。數十億美元，而且是一場災難。」

Epstein 從未因 Towers Financial 案被起訴。Hoffenberg 在2022年去世。

那麼，Epstein 到底是什麼？

一種說法是：他只是一個非常成功的騙子，利用魅力和謊言，從有錢人那裡騙錢。《紐約時報》的調查傾向這個結論。

另一種說法是：他是某個情報機構的工具。

前佛州檢察官 Alex Acosta──就是簽署2008年「甜心協議」的那位──據報導曾被告知要「退後一步」，因為 Epstein「屬於情報機構」，「超出我的層級」。

前以色列情報官 Ari Ben-Menashe 公開聲稱 Epstein 和 Ghislaine Maxwell 是摩薩德資產，運作一個「蜜罐陷阱」來勒索西方權貴。

波蘭總理 Donald Tusk 認為這可能是俄羅斯情報機構的 KGB 式行動。文件中有超過一千份文件提到 Putin，超過九千次提到俄羅斯。

也許 Epstein 不是一個人，而是一個「建構」（construct）──一個利用人性中的貪婪和慾望來運作的系統。他的財富來源不重要，重要的是他提供了一個平台，讓有權勢的人自投羅網。

無論哪種說法是真的，有一件事是確定的：很多有錢有勢的人付了很多錢給 Epstein，而他們都不願意解釋為什麼。

2019年8月8日，Epstein 在曼哈頓監獄裡簽署了他的最後一份遺囑。

兩天後，他死了。

遺囑顯示，他計劃把大約2.88億美元分給44個人。

最大的受益人是 Karyna Shuliak，一個白俄羅斯牙醫，據稱是他的女友。她將獲得一億美元（5000萬現金加5000萬年金），加上幾乎所有房產：曼哈頓豪宅、巴黎公寓、佛州豪宅、新墨西哥州 Zorro Ranch，以及那座惡名昭彰的私人島嶼 Little St. James。

她還會得到一枚33克拉的鑽戒和48顆散鑽。遺囑旁邊有 Epstein 的手寫字跡：「已贈與，考慮結婚。」

Shuliak 是 Epstein 死前最後一個通話的人。那通電話20分鐘，沒有被記錄。

他的律師 Darren Indyke 將獲得5000萬美元。他的會計師 Richard Kahn 將獲得2500萬美元。這兩人也是遺產執行人。

Ghislaine Maxwell 將獲得1000萬美元。

他的兄弟 Mark Epstein 將獲得1000萬美元，給他的孩子設立信託。

他的私人飛行員 Larry Visoski 將獲得1000萬美元。

遺囑中沒有提到任何受害者。一分錢都沒有。

後來，遺產執行人設立了受害者賠償基金，支付了1.21億美元。但這是在 Epstein 死後才做的，不是他的意願。

他的意願是：把一切留給幫助他的人，一切都不留給被他傷害的人。

截至2026年2月，Epstein 的遺產還剩下約1.27億美元，卡在美屬維京群島的法院裡。

他的房產大多已經賣掉了。曼哈頓豪宅原本估價1.12億美元，最後賣了5100萬。

銀行賠了3.65億給受害者。Leon Black 賠了6250萬換取刑事豁免。受害者賠償基金支付了1.21億。

但 Epstein 的錢到底從哪裡來，仍然是個謎。

沒有任何金主被起訴。沒有任何銀行高管被起訴。沒有任何情報機構被追究。

司法部說，調查結束了。

也許有些謎團，不是設計來被解開的。

"After careful reflection, I have decided to resign from the government.

The decision to appoint Peter Mandelson was wrong. He has damaged our party, our country and trust in politics itself.

When asked, I advised the prime minister to make that appointment and I take full responsibility for that advice. In public life responsibility must be owned when it matters most, not just when it is most convenient. In the circumstances, the only honourable course is to step aside.

This has not been an easy decision. Much has been written and said about me over the years but my motivations have always been simple: I have worked every day to elect and support a government that puts the lives of ordinary people first and leads us to a better future for our great country. Only a Labour government will do that. I leave with pride in all we have achieved mixed with regret at the circumstances of my departure. But I have always believed there are moments when you must accept your responsibility and step aside for the bigger cause.

As I leave I have two further reflections: Firstly, and most importantly, we must remember the women and girls whose lives were ruined by Jeffrey Epstein and whose voices went unheard for far too long.

Secondly, while I did not oversee the due diligence and vetting process, I believe that process must now be fundamentally overhauled. This cannot simply be a gesture but a safeguard for the future.

I remain fully supportive of the prime minister. He is working every day to rebuild trust, restore standards and serve the country. I will continue to back that mission in whatever way I can. It has been the honour of my life to serve."

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Photographs of unmarked police cars and plainclothes officers at Wood Farm on the Sandringham estate just after 8am were published on Thursday. A statement from Thames Valley police said: “We have today (19/2) arrested a man in his 60s from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

“The man remains in police custody at this time.”

Police have been assessing allegations that Mountbatten-Windsor – formerly known as Prince Andrew – shared sensitive information with the billionaire child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein when he was a UK trade envoy.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is in custody after being arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Searches are being carried out at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk, Thames Valley Police said.

Here is the statement in full:

"As part of the investigation, we have today (19/2) arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.

The man remains in police custody at this time.

We will not be naming the arrested man, as per national guidance. Please also remember that this case is now active so care should be taken with any publication to avoid being in contempt of court.

Assistant Chief Constable Oliver Wright said: ‘Following a thorough assessment, we have now opened an investigation into this allegation of misconduct in public office.

‘It is important that we protect the integrity and objectivity of our investigation as we work with our partners to investigate this alleged offence.

‘We understand the significant public interest in this case, and we will provide updates at the appropriate time.’"

[19:10] You would have to go as far back as King Charles I to find the last senior member of the British royal family arrested prior to today’s developments.

Charles was arrested in 1647 during the English Civil War by forces aligned with parliament, including the New Model Army.

He was detained and later tried for high treason after refusing to accept limits on royal authority, leading to his execution in 1649.

Andrew’s sister Princess Anne – who is scheduled to visit a prison in Leeds today – was convicted and fined under the Dangerous Dogs Act in 2002 after her dog bit two children. However, she was not arrested in relation to the offence.

[19:19] The anti-monarchy pressure group Republic has welcomed the news of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest, it said in a statement this morning.

Republic’s CEO Graham Smith said the arrest was “likely influenced by Republic’s pursuit of a private prosecution”, which saw it provide Thames Valley Police with a crime report.

Smith said:

"Make no mistake, this is a result of Republic’s action. We reported Andrew to the police when others were unwilling to act. Republic has been instigating a private prosecution when the police were reluctant to investigate.

Republic’s lawyers will continue to investigate related alleged offences and provide information to the police over the coming weeks and months."

He added:

"The police must follow all evidence wherever it leads.

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been seen leaving a police station in a car after almost 12 hours of questioning by police in Norfolk.

He was photographed in the back seat leaving Aylsham Police station on Thursday evening.

Andrew was arrested this morning on suspicion of misconduct in public office.

Police have not given any further information at this point.
