8月 Monthly Horoscope for Cancer
The orchestra is playing the overture, dear Cancer, and the curtain is rising on your life. You now have a superb chance to start to turn elements of your life to your favor. It is all so exciting! Jupiter entered your sign recently on June 25, and ever since then, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Neptune, and Saturn have joined forces to bring you into a new and much improved realm. You haven't had any cosmic help in so long that all this planetary attention may come as a complete surprise.
It's about time, dear Cancer - for years you have deserved the cosmic break the universe is about to give you. It may take a little time for these planets to spin their magic, but it will be comforting to know that the great planet of good fortune is at your side in Cancer and will remain so until next year, July 2014. This makes YOU the celestial favorite of the zodiac. With so many planets on a mission to aid your cause, you have the equivalent of an Army SWAT team to swoop in and help you make things just as you hope them to be!

Briefly, Jupiter in Cancer will be working in tandem with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces to create an environment of pure harmony. If you didn't read your July forecast, this will be your last chance to see it now - do have a look, because you will find knowing how special the aspects are for you very energizing and exciting!
Pick up the phone, and make those meetings! In order to use brilliant aspects, you have to DO something to trigger your luck. Mercury is no longer retrograde, having gone direct June 20, and is now moving much faster than it did during July - this is good news for all of us. All systems are go!
Best of all, not only do you have Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, in your sign for the first time in twelve years (!) to rain good fortune on you, but you also have Mars, the timekeeper of the zodiac, now in Cancer too, until August 27. It is said that seeds planted during the time Mars tours your own sign (as you have now, with Mars in Cancer) have an excellent chance of eventually bearing fruit - better than any other time. Because you won't have Mars in Cancer again until June 2015, you see how fortunate you are to have Mars with you now!
If you could see your chart, you would see Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury are all brightening your first house of personality, outlook, and your sense of identity. Your personality and outlook is the engine that is causing all good things to fall into place, so it will be up to you to drive the train in the direction you want your life to go. This is why this is an ideal time to meet new people, some of whom will be high level VIPs who will be willing to help you further your career. You are also likely to meet possible romantic interests. Jupiter in Cancer, in an exceedingly rare, once-in-twelve-year visit, is considered to be the finest aspect you can have to find true love. Venus will be supportive to your Sun and Mars until August 15, too, giving you further evidence of how sweet the first half of August is likely to be for you.
Let's have a look at the special aspects of August starting with the first key aspect. Your career seems to be poised for an unexpected boost in the first week of August, thanks to collaboration between the Sun, now in your house of salary and profits, and Uranus in your house of fame and honors. This aspect will peak on August 4, so you may get exciting news on August 1 or 2 about a generous, unexpected check and an increase of power or responsibility that is on its way to you. It is also possible that you may hear news the following week in the first two days, August 5 or 6. When news comes, it will zing in your window as a complete surprise.
Speaking of salary, the new moon August 6 will be a major, friendly new moon that you would be wise to pay attention to this month. This new moon will be the best one of the year for you to get a raise or new generous position, so it will be imperative that you ask for a raise or investigate new positions this month. You will have two weeks in which to act, but the days following the new moon will be best (except for August 7, more about that day in a minute). This new moon will receive a beam from Uranus, indicating you may luck into something by being at the right place at the right time. Opportunity will come suddenly, so be ready to roll when it does.
You will have one tricky aspect on August 7, which will be the exception to the rule. This really is a great month to be negotiating a deal, but on this day you may doubt anything can go right. Pluto will oppose Jupiter on this day, and their opposition will cut straight across the horizon line of your chart, suggesting that you will notice its effect. This is a mid-point marker point to something you may have done close to December 11, 2007, when Jupiter and Pluto had conjoined in a powerfully beneficial aspect.
By now Jupiter has traveled across the skies to be 180 degrees away from Pluto, so it's time to have a look at any venture you started at that magnificent time, and see how far you've come. Are you happy with the progress, or would you like to see better growth? If the latter case, how would you accomplish that? Would you give the project more time or money? Or are you not as committed to the business relationship or venture has you were back in 2007?
If you did not do anything in December 2007, and happen to be negotiating on or near August 7, you may find that the other side is difficult, obstinate, and demanding. If you are trying to divide property in a divorce, you may be faced with quite fierce reaction - surprisingly so. You may have to suggest all parties take a break and resume talks another day - it seems not much will be accomplished if you keep trying. By breaking the connection, you change the energy.
The other days following the new moon will be fine, so don't let August 7 deter you from moving forward. Have your persuasive points organized, and go in ready to get what you want for salary.
The full moon in Aquarius 28 degrees on August 20 will also emphasize money. Think back to last month - we had a full moon then in Aquarius too, 0 degrees. It is rare to have two full moons in a row in the same sign, but that's what we have now, so there has been quite a bit of financial emphasis in your chart. You will likely send out checks to people you owe, but you may also get money in your bank account too, if anyone owes you. You might also focus on finding ways to streamline your expenses and review all your insurance needs, as you may need less, or more insurance.
On the day after the full moon August 20, Uranus and Jupiter will be at odds, so you will have to be very careful about how you handle a career or financial matter then, as things could spiral out of control if you become impulsive. You may want to speak your mind, but doing so will have consequences that you may not anticipate. With Uranus involved, you never know how the chips will fall - Uranus always brings elements of the situation that seem to come out of left field, and the outcome is not always a surprise we like. Be careful.
Once Mars enters Leo, from August 27 to October 14, you will likely spend more money than usual, but you may have planned to do so. If not, hold back on big ticket purchases then until you get to see the lay of the land.
If you need to sign a contract, lease, or any other important paper, do not do so on or near August 11, when Mercury and Saturn will be at odds.
My favorite day for you to sign papers will be August 29, when Mercury (ruling contacts) will be in fine angle to Jupiter (ruling profits, happiness, and generosity). The Sun and Saturn will be beautifully angled on this day too, lending longevity to your venture or relationship.
If you need a day to generate great ideas, you have it on August 13-14 when Mercury and Uranus will be in perfect sync.
If you have to write a letter to an insurance company or a credit company to correct an error, don't do it on August 25, when Neptune will oppose Mercury. This would be would a bad day to sign papers too, as Neptune makes things almost literally vanish, as if it had been written with disappearing ink. If the paperwork gets to where it you want it to go, then the contract may be later deemed to have been written in such a way to not take into account important future questions, leaving everyone, including you, confused about the intent of the parties who signed it. Wait until August 29 to sign and you will be glad you did.
Questions about your physical home or a family member have consumed many Cancer lives over past years, and if that describes you, you will have more questions come up in October. October will not be entirely easy for anyone, so make good use of August and September - months that will support, not challenge you.
You have much going for you now, dear Cancer, and in September, it appears you will be done with all the financial affairs and able to travel near or far to your heart's content.

Pluto will oppose Jupiter on August 7, the following day, so you may have problems negotiating with a partner, new client, or soon-to-be ex. (Or, if you are the agent, for example, your client - the talent - may be troublesome.) You will have to use diplomacy, but you also need to be realistic.
Also on or near August 7, think back to a time you first became involved in a major venture, most likely back in December 2007. If you did enter into an agreement then, it will be time to rethink that venture or business relationship. Is it paying off as you had hoped? Do you like your partnership? If you are not happy with the progress, you may have to make changes or abandon the venture completely. Jupiter opposed to Pluto now on August 7 marks an important point in that venture's timeline, so take a closer look and make any needed adjustments.
The full moon August 20 will also bring up financial matters, and at this point you will have to be sure you fully understand the terms of any agreement, as Neptune will be prominent and possibly bring confusion. If you are in a creative field, however, Neptune's participation in this full moon may be a blessing. You may be given a payment at the start, or end, of a highly creative project. In this case, Neptune's prominence would bring reward for your excellent artistic expression, not confusion, for Neptune is the planet that represents and encourages the arts.
After all this career and financial work you'll do this month, you'll likely want to travel for a change of scene, possibly on or near August 29. Even if you have no plans, the collaboration between Mercury in Virgo and Jupiter in Cancer may cook up some lovely invitations to visit friends, a cousin, or a sibling not too far from home. This should be fun to do, so go!
