You guessed it - the mighty Sun and generous Jupiter will meet in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement and find ways to expand opportunities that are so exciting, the offers will leave you breathless. This may happen immediately on August 26, or sometime during the coming year, but the Sun and Jupiter will certainly set things in motion. A conjunction is the most powerful of all astrological aspects, and this one involves your ruler, Jupiter! I am so excited for you, I can barely type!

The meeting of the Sun and Jupiter in VIRGO won't happen again in this decade, so be sure not to be on vacation on this date because you won't want to miss the call or opportunity that may come up. It appears your talents will be in high demand. You may get an offer for a new position or you may be able to meet with a very high level individual who will offer to be your ally. This same full moon may bring a contract to sign, for the third house covers agreements of all kinds. Jupiter has been in Leo, lighting your ninth house of long-distance travel since July 2014 until now, but Jupiter will leave this part of your chart on August 11, not to return in this decade. The ninth house covers many parts of life besides distant travel, including relationships with foreign people, immigration, green card, visa, and passport; goals involving academia; the media (including broadcasting, publishing, the Internet, and telecommunications and apps); and court cases and all legal maneuvering. August 4 will be outstandingly special, too, for Venus and Jupiter will conjoin in a very rare event, and it's happening in your ninth house of travel. Venus rules your friendship sector, so it appears a friend will trigger news, perhaps by sending you an invitation to visit that you can't possibly refuse. It will be too delicious not to go! You may receive a substantial check on this day too, as Jupiter AND Venus are both connected to profits. Venus rules your solar sixth house of work projects, and you may hear of one that seems made for you. Finally, Venus is associated with markets catering to women, so somehow a woman - or a target group of females for a project - may be where your luck will lie.

When you're hot, you're hot, for on August 6, Mars, now in your financial sector, will reach out to Saturn, stabilizing a financial matter. If you are in a dispute with someone and the issue involves money, this would be a perfect day to suggest a solution, for the other side may like and accept your idea.

You've had Mars in your eighth house for several weeks, since June 24, and Mars has a reputation for raising expenses quite dramatically. Happily, Mars is moving out of this house on August 8 when it moves to highly compatible Leo, and your expenses will almost immediately drop, although you may still have to pay off some of the remnant expenses you racked up prior to August 8. On August 8, you can find ways to calm expenses. Best of all, Mars' move into Leo suggests you will have a second chance to enjoy more travel while Mars - the great energizer - will be in Leo, from August 8 to September 24.

If the position of Mars were not enough to make you excited about your prospects for expanding your horizons, the new moon of August 14 will help you accomplish that as well, for that new moon will be in Leo at 22 degrees. This new moon will receive a golden beam from Uranus, so any trip you take is likely to be over-the-top romantic, and spontaneous too, not done for business. There will be one exception to this rule that this trip would not be done for business, and that is if you work in the creative realm and need to do a face-to-face with a client or your agency about a current project. You'd love the results of this trip, including all that you agree on and talk about, so on all sides, this new moon will be an exciting one for you.

All new moons open a door of opportunity that last two weeks, although I want to point out that the first days that come just AFTER the new moon will always be the strongest days, for as you go along, the new moon will continue to spend her energy until she has no more to give two weeks later.

Put a gold star on August 19 too, for on that day, Venus will flirt with Uranus, a highly sexy, sweet vibration. Uranus is the planet of surprise, and because Uranus is making a long journey through your true love (fifth house) sector, if you are single, you may just find an arrow hits you aimed at your heart by Cupid's little fleet of angels. If you are attached, you can have fun with your partner - after all, a marriage paper does not take away the truth that your partner is still your one and only sweetheart.

Next month, Mercury will go retrograde from September 17 to October 9, a time when you will be subject to delays and indecision by executives. This makes August your month to press forward - plan to coast a little next month.

The month will end with a big full moon in Pisces, 6 degrees, in your sector of home and family. This may be moving day, or a day when you see the completion of your renovation or repair project. If you had called in the painters and had been doing maintenance, the project may wrap up on this time.

A full moon in Pisces, ruling the sea and all bodies of water because of its rulership by Neptune (and conjunct the full moon at this time), could cause you severe problems related to water damage. Be sure to check your homeowners' or renters' insurance policy to be sure you are covered for these types of events. Most policies do NOT cover for flood, mold, or other water-related problems, so call your broker to find out how you can best protect yourself now and in the future. Saturn will be in hard angle to this full moon, another reason I fear you could have a problem that you would not anticipate happening.

Neptune, the ruler of Pisces, will remain in your solar fourth house of home until 2025, so the possibility for water-related damage will not go away anytime soon. If you live in an apartment like I do, you can still have difficulties with water, say, when heavy rain storm leaks water through the sides of your windows and damages your floors, or when the tenant in the apartment above you lets the bathtub overrun with water, and causes damage to you, below.

I hope Neptune will affect you a different way, by giving you superb inspiration for decorating your home. Neptune can bring a highly creative influence, and inspire you to make your home a stylish reflection of the "you" inside.

This will be a landmark month, where you see progress in all the areas of life that are important to you. As August begins, you may conclude a short trip to give yourself a breather from all the recent activity in your life, and that sweet break will come thanks to the full moon, July 31. That week, four key heavenly bodies - Venus, Jupiter, Mercury, and the Sun - will crowd in your ninth house of foreign people and places, and so you may be planning another, more spontaneous trip that will be due to happen after the new moon, August 14.
