As you begin February, your career is sparkling. The new moon of January 27 that occurred just days before the dawning of February lit your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. This will be the very best time of 2017 to get ahead in your career. If you want to get a promotion, new prestigious position with more responsibility, or if self-employed, to bring in new business, the moment is at hand. You must begin immediately. I had talked about this new moon last month, so if you read your January forecast, hopefully you have your resume done, your creative portfolio ready to show, and your career history biography written and polished.
A new moon gives you ten days of golden energy, and with each passing day it gets gradually weaker. It’s time to set up appointments and let people know you are open to consider taking on a bigger position. If you have your own business, it’s a superb time to send out a direct mail, publicity, or advertising campaign, or to do a promotion of some kind.
A big moment will arrive at the full moon lunar eclipse in Leo, February 10 in Leo, 22 degrees, lighting your fourth house of home and family. Something is coming to culmination involving your home or concerning your care or relationship with a family member, most likely your mother or father. You may move, close on a condo or house, be ready to sign a lease on a new apartment or vacation home, finish up a repair or fix-it project, receive new furniture, see a roommate come or go, or see any other type of creativity culminate in regard to your living space. This first eclipse that will come by this month, February 10, will put a focus on your home and/or family and will bring Uranus into play, which means your career will suddenly light up at the same time. I am wondering if you need to change your living arrangements in response to surprising shifts in your career. Or, that you will need to think about your family or those who depend upon you at home when you decide on whether or not to take the career offer coming to you. Jupiter will be very present at this time, so it’s clear the work you’ve been doing is why so much good fortune is coming your way – it’s not luck. You earned it.
Mars will also be positive, so you will have help from someone who believes in you behind the scenes, but who might not want to assume a high profile. In fact, you may not even be aware of the help you are receiving from this person. Perhaps that person feels that others will become jealous if his or her identity is exposed. If you do find out the identity of this person, you will need to keep it secret.
The days surrounding the lunar eclipse will be very sweet, indeed. February 9 brings the hint or the delivery of news about how well your career is doing, out of the blue. By February 11, Jupiter will work with the Sun – news about new business AND a breakthrough in your living situation is about to make you very happy at the same time. If you have a health concern, see your doctor – you may learn about a new medicine or treatment that might be able to give you comfort and hope. Your house that rules preventative measures you take to feel better is glowing (sixth house).
The solar eclipse, a new moon, February 26, Pisces, at 8 degrees, will light your house of social activity, friendships, parties, and events that draw people together for reasons that unite all. This eclipse will open a new door – that is what new moons do – but this one is super-strong, as it is also a solar eclipse. Neptune will come along with the solar eclipse, and because Neptune rules dreams and imagination, the event you are likely to be invited to shortly after that eclipse arrives will be enchanting.
The end of February would be an important moment of the year to join a club or volunteer for a charity. The sign of Pisces is associated with helping those who suffer, and with Neptune near, this is further emphasized. Neptune teaches the value of giving without any expectation of receiving anything in return – the joy of seeing your good work help others will be reward in itself.
If you have a birthday that falls on April 27, plus or minus five days, you will benefit quite noticeably from this eclipse. Similarly, if you have Taurus rising at 8 degrees, the moon in Taurus at 8 degrees, or if you have a natal planet in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Pisces, Scorpio, or Cancer at 8 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, you, too, will feel the blessings of this eclipse.
The solar eclipse, a new moon, February 26, Pisces, at 8 degrees, will light your house of social activity, friendships, parties and events that draw people together for reasons that unite all.
Happening coincidentally, Mars will conjoin Uranus on this day, February 26, quite independent of that new moon, but alongside it. Mars conjunct Uranus is a hot aspect. Mars is all about aggression and force; Uranus is about surprise, unanticipated events. Both will meet in your house of secrets. Uranus is the natural ruler of your career success, so you may hear news about a VIP leaving that you never expected. Confidential meetings may be going on at the time, with unusual results. Sometimes the surprises are not happy ones – that someone kept a secret from you, but if so, Mars will force the secret into the open. At other times, Uranus being so unpredictable, the news is wildly good – you will have to wait to see! I can’t view everything in your individual chart, so let’s think good thoughts and expect the best.
You will have special days this month, so let’s talk about those for a moment. Put a circle around February 9, when Uranus will be in sync with the mighty Sun, linking your career and your home-related matters in a strong, positive package. Things would happen suddenly, so have your cell phone powered up.
I love February 11, when Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will receive a mighty beam from the Sun. Here, work goes so well. You might be working on a new business opportunity today if you didn’t start the day before, February 10. It’s an ideal day to sign papers on a house, condo, or apartment, or to buy new furniture, a mattress, or electronic item (including an appliance). If you are trying to help a parent, today the right solution may show up.
On February 13, Saturn and the Sun will be in fine angles, bringing stability to home and family related decisions.
Because February 9 through February 13 fall close – very much on the head of a pin – they will all blend together, making mid-month sensationally happy for you.
Valentine’s Day comes next, February 14, a nice enough day, for sure, falling so closely to the aspects I just mentioned. I like the weekend slightly better for your love life, for the moon over the weekend of February 11-12 has the transiting moon in Virgo, a better place for you. Realize I am splitting hairs here, for this year Valentine’s Day will be very supportive, with no difficult aspects.
The following week has more happy aspects.
On February 21, Mercury will be in elegant angle to Jupiter, bringing you an ideal time to travel, to sign papers, to negotiate, to hire someone at work or at home, to give a speech, or to create a written document or to hand one in.
Only two days later, Mercury will work with Saturn, giving weight and purpose to all you do this week. If you can’t sign papers on February 21, you might be able to do so on February 23, my second-choice favorite for you.
Next month, March 5, Venus will retrograde until April 15, and because Venus is your ruler, you will be wise to make your biggest initiations this month, not in March and April. It will take Venus until May 18 to work up to full power, so you see, you are about to enter a period when the universe will require your talent for patience.
Do not plan any plastic surgery or dermatological treatments in March or April (or even early May). Don’t change your hair in any way, such as to cut it or change the color. Anything having to do with your looks would more likely please you now, not later. Mars will go into Taurus after March 9, and although Venus will be retrograde, Mars will help you move forward. Still, veer away from anything involving your looks or involving love – those are topics ruled by Venus, and her energy will be muted while she rests.
In all, this is a stellar month – February – and with much happiness and progress to look forward to, you will be busy and at your best.

Also in early February, Venus is orbiting close to Mars in this same secretive, private part of the chart, suggesting you may be tempted to enter into a clandestine romance. Engaging in such an alliance might not be the best idea if both or one of the parties are married, as your secret union may become very public once Mars enters Taurus, March 10 to April 21.
This month could be a defining moment for you, because two eclipses are due, and those are the most powerful events that the universe uses to get us moving forward.
The first, a friendly full moon lunar eclipse, February 10, will focus on your home, other property you may own or rent, and your family. A project you may have been involved with that is related to these interests may now culminate, at the full moon lunar eclipse, February 10. If you were hoping to move house, this eclipse may suddenly make you aware of the right place to go, at the right price. If you have been concerned about a challenge facing a family member, most likely your mother or father, you may now find a solution. Uranus is active, so any news will be sudden news – be ready!
The solar eclipse, a new moon, of February 26, will set off weeks of social activity, for this will also be another positive eclipse. You may be invited to a beautiful, large event – a party, charity benefit, wedding, or other celebratory gathering, for Neptune will be close to this eclipse, adding a magical, dream-like touch to any event you give or attend in late February.
You also would be smart to attend industry trade show or a mixer, or to go to a sporting event – for socializing may prove important in you. Alternatively, you may take on the voluntary position in a charity to put on a benefit or a fundraiser, and in the process, make the acquaintance of like-minded friends. You would be able to exercise skills that you will be able to transfer to your day job and help your career. If you have to sign papers, don’t do it near this eclipse, for it’s great for socializing but not for committing to funds or making a big commitment. Let the dust settle first, and allow a few days of space.
Romance could be very festive in the first days of February, when Venus your ruler, will cuddle closely to Mars, her cosmic lover. Both will be in a quiet, even secretive, part of your chart. This bodes well for a blind date, but not so good for a budding relationship if one of you is not available (i.e., still married).
Valentine’s Day, February 14, falls very close to the positive eclipse of February 10. If you and your sweetheart can’t celebrate your love on Tuesday, February 14, then consider the weekend, February 11, and with such emphasis on your home, you might want to make a special dinner there, with candlelight, flowers, and soft music – even if you are moving and have to do so among cardboard boxes. If you have children, and a close relative lives nearby, you might want to ask that relative to take your children overnight.
