Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

The powerful new moon solar eclipse of February 26 in Pisces 8 degrees may have brought you an exciting moment. It lit your house of expansive travel, college study, the courts, international research and relationships, and the media, including publishing and broadcasting projects. One of these projects likely came to life. This was a friendly new moon eclipse, quite powerful, and is likely to bring opportunity in at least one of these areas. An eclipse has a longer frame of influence than a typical new moon, running six months or even longer. If you would love to travel, do import-export, or get a visa, green card, or citizenship in a foreign country, proceed, for you will find the road ahead will clear for your smooth passage.

If you are asked to sign a contract, or if you are about to get an assignment or purchase order, go the extra mile to ascertain the details of the assignment for mid-month details will count. Because your ninth house of international commerce is prominent in early March, but somewhat under Neptune’s fog, something may be lost in translation. Keep asking questions and be sure to hire the services of your lawyer. Additionally, Neptune will be conjunct the Sun, and you may be unclear about the eventual arrangements for your compensation. Ask to have those conditions and salary spelled out. At the same time, Neptune’s presence does underscore the highly creative nature of the job you are discussing, and it would give you ample opportunity to put your stamp of individuality on this project.

If you love to write, do broadcast segments, or hope to be on TV, this eclipse will help you reach your goals. Neptune, the planet of inspiration and creativity, was very strong at eclipse time, so your image is likely to be prominent in some form. You may be interviewed for an important story in the newspaper, a magazine, or TV segment. Eclipses don’t have the same timeline as a typical new moon, for eclipses have a very long influence and often bring powerful life events that form the very foundation of your life. This was a favorable new moon – indicating opportunities for a fresh start – so think about one initiation you can take as a result of this new moon.

If your birthday falls on June 29 plus or minus four days, you will benefit in a very noticeable way from this new moon eclipse. The same is true if you have Cancer rising or the natal moon in cancer at 8 degrees, or a natal planet at 8 degrees (plus or minus five degrees) in one of these signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.

The full moon in Virgo at 22 degrees on March 12 will also emphasize travel, but this time, if you do go, you will choose a location closer to home. The reason for your travels appears to be for business, and you seem to have a goal in mind that you need to complete. Saturn will ask that you work hard and that you check every detail before you go. Details will count quite a bit at this full moon.

If you have a partner or collaborator you regularly work with, you might want to bring this person along to bolster the quality of your presentation and impress the client. Here I am referring to your possible short trip for business near March 12. With Pluto, friendly from your partnership house, your partner / collaborator (also possibly a headhunter or lawyer) will be an asset to you and will likely give you the emotional support you will find quite comforting.

Venus will go retrograde from March 4 to April 15 and will not return to full power until May 18. Venus rules your fourth house of home, so a decision you made about where to live, or in what style, may need to be changed. If you bid on a house, you may not win the bid this month, but that would not be a bad outcome. I am not enthusiastic about a Cancer purchasing property while Venus goes retrograde, and the same advice applies to a rental of a house or vacation cottage, expensive renovations, or the purchase of high priced furniture. Venus’ job is to beautify and embellish but when she is sleeping in retrograde, you may not be pleased with the selection, or later, about the design choices you made.

Venus also rules your face, so the period from March 4 to April 15 (and I would also include the ramp up to strength period, until May 18) would not be the time to do anything radical to your looks. This means no face lift, no plastic surgery, no Botox or fillers, and no experimental dermatological treatments; don’t impulsively cut your hair, or buy extensions, or change your hair color say, from black to platinum blonde. Keep to regular grooming, such as trims, basic facials you may have always loved, and your regular routine. Because Venus rules love, it’s not the time to have a first date or to get engaged. Warmth and emotional affection may be lacking. Venus is not in the right sign for you anyway, so sit tight until ardent, passionate Mars gets to your sign on June 4 to July 20. That would be an ideal time to take a vacation, say, to a seaside resort where you would be able to meet eligible singles, that is, if you are unattached. If you are attached, this would also be a great time to give your partner your full attention for a carefree time at the seashore.

You have been very focused on your career lately, but your life needs balance. Venus will spend a great deal of time in your prestigious tenth house of fame and honors. Clearly you are impressing VIPs and those who report to you as well. With Saturn in your sixth house, you are obviously working hard, and have been over the past two years. You only have one year to go with Saturn in this part of your chart, so things are about to improve soon. One day when you might feel a bit overwhelmed with the work flow will be when Saturn and the Sun clash, on March 17, so on that day, be careful to pace yourself.

Due to Venus retrograde from March 4 to April 15, you may change your mind about a home or family situation. Plan to decide in the week of April 17, however. October may bring better options.

Mars, the energy planet, which also happens to be the ruler of your most prestigious career tenth house, will move into your social eleventh house of people / friends / events. In the coming weeks, you will be socializing more than usual. You are a hardworking soul, dedicated to your work, but in the coming weeks, mixing and mingling will actually help your career. This would be a good time to consider attending a trade show, joining a professional or social club, or if you work in politics, to arrange a town meeting. If you are an actor, you may be attending your premier and enjoying the enthusiasm of your fans for you most recent movie. The ideas are to spend time with your constituency / community / club and not behind your computer. The eleventh house is all about groups, and it appears you will be rubbing shoulders with a large number of people.

The eleventh house is also about doing acts of humanity, so you may join a charity to help raise funds for a cause you care about, perhaps by organizing an action or black tie dinner. If you can’t do volunteer work, you will still support the charity if you attend and participate. This change of pace, with you out and being among others more often, will do you a world of good.

Remarkably, the new moon at month’s end, on March 27, in Aries, 8 degrees, will bring a new chapter in your professional life, thanks to a great deal of energy emanating from your tenth house. New moons change the energy and bring in fresh air in the area the new moon appears. A new moon in Aries suggests an entrepreneurial project is likely to come up for you after that new moon. The work that you will do seems to be very new, bringing you into an exciting new realm, possibly involving a high-tech product or service.

You will have a glittering crown of stars in your tenth house of fame, including the Sun (authority), new moon (opportunity), Uranus (surprise), Venus (popularity), and Mercury (news). Much of what happens will have to do with the hard work you’ve already done, and you have proved you are ready for more. Saturn will be supportive of this new moon, so the actions you take now will have lasting results and help you build a foundation for the future. Pluto is still being cranky to Uranus, so you might have to anticipate stiff competition for any position you aim to get for yourself, and these competitors may be quite ruthless and unfair in their tactics. You need to be ready for that. Chances are they don’t have your glittering aspects, so forge ahead with confidence. Talent speaks for itself.

Complete as many items on your list as possible this month, as not only will Venus be retrograde, but Mercury will be retrograde too, from April 9 to May 3. Mercury is the planet of communication, contractual agreements, and negotiation, and when asleep, you want to simply wait for better times. Once you get to June, you will see a completely different landscape, so have patience.

Summary

As you enter March, you may be planning to travel a great distance, for work or for pleasure. The emphasis on foreign people and places will be very strong for you, so it looks like you’ll either be jetting to a location far from home this month, or planning to have such a trip soon. A long trip would be good for you too, especially if you choose a place near water or snow, as you have a buildup of planets in Pisces, ruling that kind of setting. If you cannot travel, you may be working on an international project that you will enjoy doing, and you may not have to leave home to do it, collaborating through email and telephone. The project you work on this month might involve publishing or broadcasting – and if so, it will be right up your ally.

If you need to address an immigration matter, whether for visa, green card, passport, or citizenship, you have plenty of support early in March, so make your appointments without delay.

Your career has brought surprises in recent years, but perhaps especially recently at last month’s new moon solar eclipse, February 26. If your Cancer birthday falls in June, last month’s eclipse was especially strong and beneficial, and sudden news is likely to have been welcome. If you are not sure the news was actually working to your benefit, give it time. You will see events at the end of February and in March that will work to your benefit. Mars has been in a rare tour of your tenth house of fame and honors, last month indicating that this is one of your best periods in two years to aim to accomplish impressive career advancement. You’ve had Mars in this area through February and will continue to have Mars there during the first eight days of March, and then Mars will leave. Take career action in early March before you lose the red planet’s energy.

Travel will again come up on the full moon March 12, but this time is likely a trip closer to home. That tiny quick trip seems business-oriented. Saturn will be in hard angle to the full moon and to the planet of travel, Mercury, so be prepared – this trip will require you to complete a goal, and you’ll be under pressure to do so. However, Virgo is a sign that blends perfectly with yours, so you have the smarts to get things done to your liking. A partner will be an asset to you now.

You appear to be in line for surprising news about your status in the company and will hear after the new moon of March 27. The work you will be doing is very entrepreneurial and will bring you down a new road that you’ve not been down before. In that respect, it will be quite fascinating and bring you experience you will be glad you got under your belt. Still you seem to be under pressure, for Pluto will still be within range. Either a collaborator or partner is being difficult or you will need to compete for the job, amid a field of fierce candidates. Don’t underestimate them – some will do almost anything to get the plum job you are aiming to be awarded. Prepare for every interview carefully and have impressive show-and-tell evidence that shows you’re a thinker and leader.

Venus will retrograde on March 4 and remain so until April 15, and not resume normal speed until May 18. Venus rules your solar fourth house of home, so if you are about to buy or sell a house or condo, or rent a space, be careful – Venus will not be working to help you, and actually may hamper your progress. For example, find out what the seller is not likely telling you by hiring a seasoned inspector. It would be best to make your deal after May 18. (Along with Venus retrograde, Mercury will be retrograde too, from April 9 to May 3, so there are many reasons to hold back on real estate matters.

With all the emphasis on career and travel, you may long to have time for fun too, and you will! Mars is heading into Taurus on March 9, to remain there until April 21. You’ve not enjoyed the jovial effect of having Mars fill your eleventh house of friends, fun, people, and events for two years, so this will seem new and lovely. Socializing will bring a nice balance to your busy life in March, dear Cancer. On March 27, Mars and Neptune will align, and bring all sorts of exciting experiences by traveling. Go to visit a friend in a distant city, or travel together with a friend to a place that inspires your imagination.
