You are now in Leo territory, and you could not be happier. Fire signs blend perfectly with your Gemini air sign element, and this month in particular will make you feel that all is right with the world. August could become one of your favorites of all of 2016. August has none of the delays of previous months, no squabbles between rogue planets, and no new and full moons that can’t make up their minds if they will bring happy or angry rays. Yes, you’ve faced all those situations in past months, but this month is different in every way. It will be a month filled with sunshine and supportive planets. You can accomplish a lot this month – in fact you may have more to show for your efforts now than in any previous month.

Let’s get started. The minute the month begins, August 1, you have a stunner of a day. The Sun and Saturn will be in divine harmony, bringing lasting benefits to actions you take on this day. It seems your partner or collaborator, in business or love, will be the one who turns on the good fortune or opportunity for you. Or it may be a professional – a lawyer, agent, even a doctor – who turns out to help you. You may even see more money as a result of actions taken on this day, for Saturn rules your eighth house of commissions, bonus, venture capital, inheritance, prize winnings, mortgage, lines of credit and other side income, credit, and loans.

Also, as if Saturn in perfect angle to the Sun in Leo were not enough to cheer about on August 1, Venus will be carefree and funny, playing tag with Uranus in your house of friendship, so friends have great ideas for activities and will insist that those events include you. Your friends will be the joy of your life as the month starts – they care about you and it shows. If you are active in the community, either in real life or online, you will feel powerful support.

The following day, August 2, will be even more important for you. The new moon in Leo at 11 degrees will appear in your third house of communication, and this is important to note. This house rules all the things that Gemini rules – assignments involving writing, speaking, editing, translation, advertising and copywriting, publicity and self-promotion, software development, telecommunications, marketing, teaching, and broadcasting. These are the areas that will light up for you and that will bring opportunity. Uranus will be sweetly angled to this moon, so news, offers, and publicity will come in unexpectedly, from an unusual source – you will be completely surprised.

This would be a wonderful time to launch a new website, advertising, direct mail or publicity campaign; send out your manuscript to your agent to get your book published; be interviewed by a reporter; or, if you are the reporter, to interview someone for an important story. It’s a good time to join a social media network new to you or to work on your social media pages. You can print beautiful business cards or office stationery now, and if you have an idea for an app, you can sign the work order for the team to begin the project during the first week of August. All new moons have a window of at least ten days, and if you plant a seed in that period, your actions will have weight and have the power to affect you positively for a year or more, at which time the next new moon in Leo will come by to refresh this one. You will be working with the cycles of the universe and many projects, like writing a screenplay, often takes many months or a year or more.

Most Gemini are born communicators, and if that is you, you will be in your element this month. If you feel you aren’t particularly talented at any of the traditional communication arts, you can still use this energy of the new moon August 2 (plus ten days) by hiring other people to help you, or to direct your staff to get started on one of the types of activates I listed. You don’t have to finish your project now, but at a new moon you must start by planting the seeds.

The third house of your horoscope, which will be so lit up, alternatively may have you traveling, so you may unexpectedly need to go to city that is not too far from your base. You may go for work, or to see friends, but with Leo so accented in your chart, you would go to a warm, sunny location, as Leo, a fire sign, rules places like that – Leo does not rule cold, icy places, for sure! A new moon in Leo also suggests you would enjoy luxury accommodations, so don’t settle for ones that are just okay, but not great. Uranus is involved with all that new moon, and so it seems that if you do go for business, you still will see friends, and the trip would come on spontaneously.

If your birthday falls on June 2, plus or minus four days, you will feel this new moon of August 2 the most and enjoy the benefits that flow from it the most too. If you have Gemini rising at 11 degrees (plus or minus five degrees), or a natal planet within five degrees of 11 degrees in Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, you too will feel the glow. Every Gemini will have something exciting to celebrate.

Another outstanding day, when everything will seem to go your way, will be August 16, when the mighty Sun and Uranus will be in sync. Uranus is in your friendship house, so this would be a day to join a club, or attend a club or charity event, or to gather up friends for a big, fun dinner in a restaurant after work. If you volunteer for a charity or work for a non-profit and have an event, you will do very well, and will be able to raise quite a bit of money you need to help the cause. Or, you may be attending a sporting event, whether in person, or watching it on TV with a group of friends in a special party at a sports bar. The place of the full moon will color the tenor of the moment, so because Aquarius is a sign of the brotherhood of man, at this time you may be struck with how similar people are from all nationalities and religions, and feel a strong connection to others through sports.

More exciting travel is likely mid-month, at the full moon August 18, in Aquarius at 26 degrees, for it will light your ninth house of long-distance travel, foreign people, and foreign places. A full moon often brings a finish, so you may return home within four days of this date. Full moons also bring plenty of high energy to a focal point, so either you would feel the energy that you are putting out, or you may be rallying a team around you for your project and overseeing the finish.

If you find you are not traveling, you may be seeing a culmination to a publishing or broadcasting venture, and it will make you happy to see the results. A court case or legal action may conclude now, or you may file a trademark or patent. Finally, if none of these outcomes of the full moon apply to you, it might mean you are going back to the university and packing up, ready to leave for campus soon – it seems within four days of this date.

To find out if a new or full moon will treat you well or not, we always have to check the aspects to it. You will have an exceptionally fine full moon August 18, for the surprise planet Uranus will be sending you strong, sure, and powerful electric vibrations. Further, this full moon is in Aquarius, and Uranus is that sign’s ruler. The fact that Uranus is friendly to the full moon almost ensures a happy outcome. Also, Aquarius is an air sign like yours – that gives double weight to the positive conclusion of what is to happen now. Your friends, or a community of people that you are involved with, will surround you at this time. No matter what you do, you seem to be thrilled and excited with how things play out.

If your birthday falls on June 18, plus or minus four days, you will feel the effects of this August 18 full moon more than your Gemini family and friends who have birthdays that fall at other times of the sign. The same benefits would flow to you if you have Gemini rising at 26 degrees, or a natal planet in Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius at 26 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.

Mars will move into Sagittarius this month and next, and you will find you have plenty of help from various partners. Gemini often likes to be free and unfettered, but with Mars in your house of significant other, one-on-one collaborations will be important to your progress. You’ve had Mars in this area of your chart since March, with a small hiatus in June and July, but now that Mars is back, there is a difference. Mars was weak most of 2016, but finally went direct June 29. Any planet, upon going direct, needs a little time to ramp up and become stronger. Mars will help you in a much more powerful way now, and by the third week of August, Mars will reach former strength. Watch August 22 plus or minus one day to see if something significant happens.

Don’t make a decision involving your partner and/or money on August 24, when Mars will conjoin Saturn. This day brings a stop-go vibration, and you might feel a bit frozen in place, not sure about which way to turn. This will clear up in a day, so take time to think. This would NOT be a good day to sign papers. Do so in August’s first week, or on August 22, at the latest. This is also a day when we all have to watch where we are going, for it would be all too easy to slip. Keep walkways clear and well lit, and if you have children, have toys back in the toy box. Protect teeth and bones.

You might assume that by the time you get to the third week of August, you will have used up all your sweet aspects, but no, there will be more coming, and those may be some of the most exciting of all. In fact, you will be just getting started, because the month continues to hold precious gems to use as you choose. It’s like the universe scooped up all the special planets like pretty marbles in a little black velvet bag and spilled them out in August, and left some of those pretty ones for September and October too. Before you and I talk about the two special aspects to come, I want to let you know that Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will play a big role with these two planets, by first conjoining one, and a few days later, the other. A conjunction is the most powerful aspect in astrology, for they represent the merging of two planets’ energies that have the power to set off a new cycle of good fortune.

The first day will be August 21-22, when the meeting of Mercury and Jupiter will occur. Mercury is your ruling planet, which means that Mercury’s job is to take good care of you. When Mercury joins Jupiter, it will happen in your house of home and family, and you are due to derive benefits and a lucky break there. You may buy or sell property, or find a magnificent piece of furniture that you may love, and because you will be so outstandingly lucky, it might be on sale. Your family may present you with a check, or in other ways support you in a way that touches you.

There will be other advantages for you to enjoy on these days, August 21-22, over the ones just mentioned. You can schedule an interview for a new position, present an idea that has great profit potential (Jupiter always is generous with money), have a first date, treat yourself to a spa day, or think about ways to change your appearance for a fresh new look. When your ruling planet is under golden rays, it often suggests you will see yourself in a new light and with more confidence – and so you may want to translate what is happening within you into a new updated appearance. On Saturday, August 27, this time it will be lovely Venus in Virgo that will be in sync with Jupiter, and again these two planets will light your fourth house of home, property, and family. Venus’ job is to embellish and add grace to all that it touches, so this would be the right day to think about how you’d like to make your home more beautiful. Venus also is the natural ruler of your solar fifth house of love, so this weekend should be amazingly romantic. Jupiter only has a conjunction once a year – this is special.

As the month moves toward a close, Mercury will go retrograde in Virgo, August 30 until September 21. Mercury makes us rethink past actions and gives an opportunity to improve the project or relationship. If you are in the middle of a remodeling project, ask the contractor to advise you in writing about any possible cost overruns that you would have to approve to pay. The workers may find something unexpected that they will have to fix before going forward. Mercury in an earth sign suggests you be practical, shrug your shoulders, and write the check.

You will be thinking a great deal about your home this month and next month too, so I will advise you to not to buy any electronic items like computers, smart phones, and kitchen appliances while Mercury is out of phase. This is always a no-no, as you may later regret the choice you made for any number of reasons. You may pay too much – later the item will go on sale. Or, the item may not perform correctly. Or, you may wonder why you chose the model you chose, and when a newer model comes out, you may wish you had waited. Don’t come up too close to the date Mercury turns retrograde, August 30. You will feel the slowdown much earlier, so leave some space between the date you decide to buy your item and August 30. Knowing that Mercury will retrograde at month’s end, and through much of September, get busy early in August, reach accord, and sign papers early on.

The emphasis in August will be on using your communication skills to their fullest. Writing, editing, public speaking, teaching, software coding, advertising copywriting, research, fact checking, translation, marketing, social media, public relations, and other types of the communication arts will come into play – here is your chance to strut your talents and stand out. As a Gemini, you are naturally skilled in this area, and the friendly new moon, August 2, will bring you several opportunities to showcase your abilities for all to see.

At last, you have no barriers to success, for with no adverse planets to throw you off course, you can achieve a lot. In fact, Saturn will support you at this new moon, so if you concentrate on your craft, you will have a chance to establish your skills, experience, and reputation on a new level. Indeed, August 2 brings one of the finest new moons of the year. The emphasis on intellectual and communicative pursuits will continue all month.

On the full moon in the compatible sign of Aquarius on August 18, to appear in your ninth house, distant travel and your relationships with people abroad may be on your mind. You may travel for fun, or you may work with a firm abroad. Alternatively, you may work with a firm based in your country, but discover that this company has its ownership and headquarters in a foreign country.

This area of the chart also rules publishing and broadcasting ventures, legal actions, and matters related to academia and your efforts to get a degree or to teach at university. One of these subjects will predominate, and in that area you will see important change and progress. The August 18 full moon is what scientists are calling an “almost lunar eclipse” – it misses being a full-fledged lunar eclipse on technicalities – but even so, something is coming to an important culmination. New information will arrive then, or a new venture will be initiated. There is always a huge amount of energy surrounding full moons, not only from you but from the team around you too. Full moons draw people together for a single purpose, and to reach a finish within four days of the full moon.

You may be traveling short distances throughout the month too, within 500 miles of your base. The reason seems to be for work, although you may also travel to see friends or your sibling, possibly to enjoy being in a vacation cottage.

Also this month, you may sign papers and get an advance on a book you are about to publish, have a movie studio buy an option on your screenplay, be given a chance to host your own TV or radio show, or get a an important new opportunity to work in social media, as a few examples. Whatever comes up will come up suddenly, and a friend seems to play a part in how talks start.

Two of the most gleaming aspects of the year will happen in late month. August 22 will bring an outstanding day (August 21-22, depending on your time zone), for your ruling planet, Mercury will meet with good fortune Jupiter, making for one of your best moments of the year. Matters related to home, property, and family matters will shine brilliantly. Sign papers on this day – and not any day later in the month. You can use this date for other purposes, too, for you will be favored over the completion.
