I was thinking of an interesting question today. What quality do you have now that when you were little, growing up, you never assumed you’d have in you? It may be that as you matured, you took on new facets to your personality that you found favorable, and were surprised to say were part of you. That has happened to me…

As you begin February, you may be thinking of making a move to a new city (or just across town) or figuring out how you will stage a renovation or repair project for your home. You just came through an eclipse on January 31 in Leo 12 degrees, which focused you squarely on your private life, namely, your home, other property you may own or manage, and family. This was a full moon lunar eclipse, so you may have already accomplished what you set out to do, or will in the first days of February. If the timing is not right, you may make final plans, such as to work on your living space later, at the end of July or mid-August when the next series of eclipses are due to come back in the same signs, Leo and Aquarius.

If you are searching to find a solution for long-term care for a parent, or to hire a companion so your parent can remain home, this eclipse will likely bring you the right options. An eclipse is operative for six months, but usually quite noticeable in the first days and weeks after it occurs, so stay alert for news as you enter February.

Lifestyle changes often require that we spend large amounts of money, and your chart shows this to be true for you right now. Mars just started to move through your eighth house of other people’s money, so you may be having talks with banks and other money types. Fortunately for you, Mars will soon be in a perfect angle to Uranus, so you may get a surprisingly attractive mortgage or home improvement loan. If you are selling or buying property, you may hit on a very good deal as action Mars and surprising Uranus will be building toward peak harmony, March 11.

Last month’s January 31 lunar full moon eclipse was friendly, for Saturn was supportive, giving you a chance to gain long-term security from the home-related actions you just took, or will take soon. Mars was well angled to that eclipse, indicating that if you need a mortgage or home improvement loan, you should have no trouble getting one approved to make your plans a reality.

Eclipses always come in pairs, so the second eclipse, February 15, will bring changes too, for this one will hit the very pinnacle of your chart called the mid-heaven, ruling your prestigious career sector. This important point in the chart (it is where the 12 is found on the face of a round clock) hints at the ultimate contribution you will make to the world. As you see, this will be a critical point in your timeline – something important seems to be cooking up!

You had a similar eclipse back on February 16, 1999, for eclipses repeat in sign and every 19 years. If you can recall something important that happened in 1999, you might get a clue of what might come up this month. Keep in mind that all the planets related to that eclipse have since changed position, so of course, you will never get an exact duplicate of what you experienced before. Look for a general theme and then take notes after the eclipse occurs.

You can also think back to the eclipses we had last year, in 2017, on February 10, August 7, and August 21, for discussions you had then, on one or more of those eclipses, will likely be advanced to a new level of sophistication for you now. Of the three, the most important one will be to think back to the August 7 eclipse, for that one will be echoed February 15.

If you can recall what happened last year on February 10 or August 21, those dates will relate to your home and family changes that may be afoot and brought to the surface January 31. (Remember August 21 when we all wore the special glasses to look up at the new moon solar eclipse?)

The February 15 eclipse is a powerful one and it will open the door to at least one new career opportunity. If you like it, it would not represent a lateral career move – it would instead be a big step up for you. What comes up is something you will want to take seriously, so entertain the offer and decide what you’d like to do.           Only you can decide whether to take it or not – there is no predestination here – but I do think you will like many elements of what is on tap.

By month’s end, you will be able to turn your attention to an exciting romantic event that should be memorable and may even take your breath away. I am referring to the full moon of March 1, in Virgo, 11 degrees, which you will feel as you get closer to the end of the month. We always feel mounting energy as a full moon approaches peak fullness. This one is simply made for you – one of my favorites of the year. It will appear in Virgo in your house of true love, the only full moon that will appear in 2018 in that area of your chart.

That full moon of March 1, which you will feel as you get closer to month’s end, will be especially beneficial to all Taurus, but doubly so for those born May 1, plus or minus five days. The same is true if you have Taurus rising, 11 degrees, or the natal moon in Virgo at 11 degrees. If you know your chart, look for any planet that is in Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces at 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, for you too, will find something to cheer about. Make note of what occurs – astrologers always do that so that they can refine their understanding of events.

The reason I love this full moon of March 1 so much is that Saturn will work closely with this lunation and add stability and a sense of emotional security to matters of the heart. Also Venus will be gliding n Pisces, the place that Venus expresses her most loving qualities. Venus is your ruling planet, so while seeing that Venus is in such good shape will be good news for everyone, you will enjoy Venus’ placement in Pisces more than most. (Libra and Pisces will love this placement, too). Also, on this full moon, Jupiter will be in ideal angle to Venus, and with Jupiter in your seventh house of marriage and Venus in your house of love, you have a direct link between love and marriage. Dear Taurus, you have so much to look forward to this month!

This would be an ideal moment of the year to get engaged or married, for on March 2, Mercury and Jupiter will also be in sync. Marriage is a contract, and Mercury will receive golden goodness from Jupiter. It is hard to get all the planets to act perfectly, but over this March 3-4 weekend, they come close. It is true that Neptune will oppose the full moon, but in this case I feel it will create an aura of mystery and added romance. Yes, it’s true that Neptune can cloud judgment, but I feel if you know one another well, the manifestation of this particular full moon will be to boost your love life in a big way. I love that Saturn will be so friendly.

If you are single, plan to socialize to see if you can meet someone new and interesting. Cupid will be working on your behalf, so stay positive and confident! If you were looking at your calendar to choose a first-time romantic date, this full moon, or the weekend that follows, March 3-4, would be a good time to meet. Of course, be careful and go slowly. Meet in a public place and don’t jump into a relationship too fast. If you follow good sense, you should be fine. All full moons have a plus or minus four days of influence, the reason I say the first day and weekend of March should be lovely.

At the very end of last month, you seem to have been focused intently on your living space or your family. A full moon lunar eclipse that took place January 31 could be setting changes in motion. You may be thinking about upgrading your lifestyle, moving to take advantage of a job opportunity, or you may want to move closer to family. Or, if your residence is set, you may be considering a renovation or the idea of painting all the rooms. You may want to look into renting a vacation home. If all those areas are fine as is, then you might be speaking with your family to decide on a way you can assist one of your parents in a substantial way. Eclipses usually require that you give attention to what comes up, so as you enter February, it seems you can’t quite shrug off home or family-related news.

Eclipses come in pairs, and the second one in Aquarius, February 15, will be even more dramatic, for it will create exciting changes in your career. This eclipse will open a door in your prestigious tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. There is no doubt that this moment will be your biggest in 2018. When calls to come in to talk about a new job come up, those calls will occur very suddenly without warning. This is why you will need to have an up-to-date, polished resume handy and perhaps more than one interview outfit ready – one that you love – that makes you look like the winning candidate the world knows you to be.

A partner, collaborator, agent, headhunter, or other middleman of some kind seems to play an integral part of the good fortune in your career life that you are about to see. Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will be working with Pluto to help you find ways to bring in more money in terms of compensation and benefits. It appears a relationship with a person based in an international setting, an official in academia, or a reporter in the media might trigger luck for you as well. A solar eclipse can unlock doors that in the past had stubbornly stuck closed, and when those doors do finally swing open, they will have the power to open a new path, one that will earn you admiration and accolades professionally.

Getting a new job with more influence and responsibility and one that will pay you well sounds good because lately you’ve been spending quite a bit of money. I say that because Mars is tearing through your eighth house of credit cards and loans. The reasons are varied. It may that you need a brush-up course, or plan to go for an advanced degree to become more competitive in the marketplace. Or, it may be that you are spending money on your home (likely) or helping out a family member who needs financial support. No matter the reason, as a Taurus, you are known to be careful about how you spend, but now you may need to increase your outgo to bolster your long-range job security, improve your home, or help a relative in need.

Romantically, Venus will glide in Pisces from February 11 to March 6 and will be a heavenly place for your ruling planet to be. Venus is exalted in Pisces, which means in Pisces Venus is able to express her best, most loving feelings and artistic expressions. Friends will play a big part in your enjoyment this month.

One ultra-special day will be February 21 when Neptune will conjoin Venus and set off an evening of glamour, poetry and lyrical love. This is a Wednesday, but go out this evening anyway. If you can plan a special dinner or any other personal event, do so. On this day you can weave a memory for the two of you that will last forever.
