with a right lat strain.

(2) @BryanHoch: Clarke Schmidt will not throw for 4-6 weeks, Aaron Boone said.
“It’s going to be a while.” He had an MRI yesterday and saw Dr. Neal
ElAttrache today in Los Angeles. Cody Poteet will start on Saturday.
(3) @BryanHoch: Gerrit Cole's next outing could come in a rehab game on
Tuesday, assuming he bounces back well. Plenty of choices: Tampa, Somerset and
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre are all scheduled at home that day.
(4) @ktsharp: Luis Gil is the first pitcher in Yankees history with 6+ Wins,
40+ K and a sub-0.75 ERA in any 6-game span
(5) @ktsharp: Luis Gil in May: 44 K, 0.70 ERA
Gil is the only pitcher in Yankees history with 40+ K and a sub-0.75 ERA in any
