《狼之口》這部漫畫的背景是在東亞國家並不太廣為人知的瑞士聯邦的建成史，也極少有漫畫作品以此段歷史為背景。本著物以稀為貴的原則，對作品的背景做了一點簡單的研究，正巧發現了一篇很不錯的考據文，特此分享。

這部漫畫的背景是設定於舊瑞士邦聯（Old Swiss Confederacy）時期，這個1291年建成的聯邦也是現代瑞士聯邦的雛形，可以說這部漫畫是一部戲劇化的瑞士建國初期史縮影。 但是漫畫中迄今為止並沒有指明具體的年份（僅提到13世紀末）和角色與史實的關係，而這篇文章的作者綜合了史實和地理對漫畫裡的出現的角色和具體年份做了推斷，個人感覺合理性極高，故此推薦。

［西方貴族頭銜與稱謂］由於中文翻譯習慣不同，這東西往往不容易搞清楚，這裡簡單做個紀錄整理順便分享。

首先，公爵、侯爵、伯爵屬於領主階，頭銜為「領地地名+爵位」，如溫莎公爵/Duke of Windsor、威塞克斯伯爵/Earl of Wessex。

至於稱謂上，如果他叫做William，那就稱"Lord William"，可翻為威廉大人。中文有個習慣有時會翻為「威廉勛爵」，這個勛爵就只是代表Lord，領主頭銜，沒有爵位階級的意思。

在很多時候，作品原文沒有講明這個Lord到底是什麼爵位，因此我們只能翻成勛爵。理論上公侯伯的尊稱都是"My Lord"(常譯為閣下)，然而英國現今的公爵封號多是授予王族成員，習慣用"Your Grace"，通常譯為陛下。

子爵介於領主階與騎士階之間，也就是說可能有領地可能沒有，因此頭銜可能是「領地名+子爵」或「姓氏+子爵」，如法爾茅斯子爵/Viscount Falmouth(地名)，哈丁格子爵/Viscount Hardinge(姓氏)。與公侯伯相同，尊稱一樣用Lord。舉同一例，Henry Hardinge，就是Lord Henry，譯為亨利大人，或亨利勛爵。

男爵屬於騎士階級，一般只有頭銜而沒有封地(有少數例外)，因此頭銜為通常為「家族姓氏+男爵」，並且會註明第幾世。比如John de Mowbray, 3rd Baron Mowbray，就是「約翰．德．蒙伯雷，蒙伯雷男爵三世」。同樣，尊稱為Lord，用法同上。

騎士基本不屬於貴族階級，稱謂為Sir/爵士，英國近代也常把騎士封號授予各領域的傑出人士，如艾薩克．牛頓爵士/Sir Isaac Newton。平常稱呼通常用「名字+爵士」，舉例如Sir John/約翰爵士，或直接尊稱Sir。直接稱Sir的時候翻譯比較微妙一些，可以也直接翻大人，軍隊中的話可翻長官。

要注意的是，平時用的稱呼，不管是Lord還是Sir都是接名字而不是姓氏，這點與中文習慣不同，因此很容易搞錯。用冰火舉例，泰溫．蘭尼斯特，我們假設他是公爵的話(作品好像沒明確設定這點)，那麼他的頭銜就是凱岩城公爵/Duke of Casterly Rock，平常稱呼他為泰溫大人/Lord Tywin。我們可能因為方便而稱呼他「泰溫公爵」，但那其實是錯誤的中式用法。

無論是古代或是現代，PMC或說傭兵，深入討論起來有很多可以講。雖然說一般人印象中可能會覺得「就是幫忙打仗的」，不過實際上並不全然是來幹架的，準確說來應該說是「來幫忙打勝仗」，最好的狀況下就是兵不血刃沒有任何損失就能獲勝。

而以現代PMC的保鑣工作來說，事先的規畫與防範，讓衝突沒有條件可以發生，真的到拔槍對擊就是最差的狀況。

就如同電影《殺手保鑣》（The Hitman's Bodyguard）開頭提到，保鑣的座右銘應該是：「無聊才是最好的。（Boring is always best.）」

直接了當的說，就是大學特權的權力來源是來自武力。

大學的本質其實是一群吃飽沒事幹的貴族，因為有共同學科的興趣組成的社團的集合體。

因為國王打仗是要看貴族肯不肯打的。就算貴族不肯打，憑他父親的遺德，他用家族名號召集一群人打仗也是很合理的。

所以既然都是由有權勢的貴族組成的大學，國王們當然會給大學特權。

更何況每個國王跟各個貴族條約關係是如此的錯綜複雜，就好像你對你老師跟對你室友一樣有兩種不同的契約關係一樣。

一個國王對上20個家族，可能就有20種契約，而這幾個家族可能又分散在歐洲各地。

這種複雜網狀的關係，讓國王形成不殺貴族的默契──因為你沒準就不小心把自己的遠房親戚給殺了。

至於東方沒有這種傳統。日本人只是模仿英國跟德國設立大學，這就是一個失傳的點，然後中國與韓國再模仿日本，又失傳了一部分。

我想說的是：所謂的「神聖不可侵犯都」是人家拿命打出來的，沒有理解到這層次只是拿著大學如何神聖當符咒是很可惜的，因為真正能發揮作用的，最後都不是符咒，而是符咒後面的武力。

真實世界裡記載的腓特烈二世是普魯士王國 1740 到 1786 年間的統治者。《危城謎殺》裡這段「瘟疫週」歷史，將他描繪成殘酷不仁的暴君，但事實並非如此。他在位期間徹底重整普魯士的經濟和政治，讓普魯士王國成為強盛國家，他並非倚靠暴政達到目的，他曾下令廢除許多法律酷刑，只留下鞭刑用來懲罰擅離職守的士兵。此外，在他統治期間所執行的死刑數量也十分罕見。只有犯下凶殺案的罪犯才有可能被執行死刑，在判決結果出爐之前，還必須要由他親自確認才行。

除了對腓特烈二世的錯誤描繪以外，梅格達引用的故事在時間背景也有出入，這位國王是在 1742 年 6 月才將普魯士王國納入自己的領土，而不是 1741 年。這是基於他與奧地利大公瑪麗亞特蕾莎 (Archduchess Maria Theresa) 所簽訂的柏林條約，這也代表了第一次西里西亞戰爭的結束。

我最近都在聽這時間的女兒，她是以說故事的方式講西洋史，講得滿仔細的，也有談到當時的經濟跟整個社會制度跟氛圍。

她也講了很多女性角色，也能用比較現代的觀點去評論這些所謂的情婦、女王。會發現女性即便是貴族，還是過得慘兮兮，一直被渣男害QQ

我在聽的時候覺得很像在聽睡前故事，語言使用得淺顯易懂，也有一點點文學性，大一點的孩子應該也會滿喜歡的。

The Hungarian language belongs to the Uralic language family. Hungarians are however genetically distant from their closest putative linguistic relatives (Mansi and Khanty), despite the eastern root of the Hungarian language, the Hungarians are today mostly similar to the neighbouring non-Uralic, Indo-European peoples. A small portion up to 4% of the haplogroup N can still be found among the Hungarians, which is sometimes associated with the spread of the Uralic languages and could be a genetic link with the Hungarians and Mansi. The Hungarian conqueror mtDNA has strong links to the populations of the Baraba region, Inner Asia, Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and Central Russia.

Archeological mtDNA haplogroups show a similarity between Hungarians and Bashkirs, while another study found a link between the Khanty and Bashkirs, suggesting that the Bashkirs are mixture of Turkic, Ugric and Indo-European contributions. The homeland of ancient Hungarians is around the Ural Mountains, and the Hungarian affinities with the Karayakupovo culture is widely accepted among researchers.

However, Neparáczki argues, based on archeogenetic results, that the Conqueror Hungarians were mostly a mixture of Hunnic, Slavic, and Germanic tribes having comparable proportion of European and Asian origin and this composite people evolved in the steppes of Eastern Europe between 400 and 1000 AD. According to Neparáczki: "From all recent and archaic populations tested the Volga Tatars show the smallest genetic distance to the entire Conqueror population" and "a direct genetic relation of the Conquerors to Onogur-Bulgar ancestors of these groups is very feasible."

【Zeke Li】[匪夷所思] ──位於德國最古老市政廳牆上中世紀「男子自我口交」雕刻

德國科隆有兩間著名的歌德式建築，一是科隆大教堂，另一棟是德國最古老的市政廳，可追溯至九百多年前的科隆市政府。

中世紀歌德式建築風格，免不了在建築外牆豎立起偉人、聖人和神話生物雕像，其中就有科隆大主教 (Konrad von Hochstaden)。然而外牆上卻同時出現了一「男子自我口交」 (Autofellatio) 的雕刻，又稱作「自我吮陽」，行徑異常猥瑣古怪，至今仍是個謎。

底座下有一名男子的雕像，他保持著彎腰脫褲姿態，嘴巴裡正含著自己的陰莖，需要身體擁有相當柔韌性才能擺出的姿勢。當時大主教 Konrad von Hochstaden，就是在 1248 年時主持興建科隆大教堂的名人，但這更讓人疑惑，為何一位知名大主教，居然要在座堂上加入「自我吮陽」的雕像？

回到科隆大主教底下那座「自我吮陽」雕刻，研究中世紀建築的學者看法指出，那些聖人聖像占據了當時建築的視覺主題，代表的是品德上的「善」；而雕刻師會刻意留下猥褻意味、粗糙的人像作填補剩餘空間，以此反映民間生活的「惡」，無知與邪惡站在對立面，善良和美德才顯得重要，這也是中世紀神學的基礎。

在古埃及象形文字及繪畫中早已有自我吮陽的描述。埃及學家 David Lorton 表示在許多古代文獻中有埃及神祇自我吮陽的記載，在太陽神拉(Ra) 自我吮陽後，祂將精液吐在地上而造出了光與風之神「舒」(Shu) 及雨水之神泰芙努特 (Tefnut)。男性在相關的宗教祭祀中亦會展示自我吮陽作儀式部份。

在另一古埃及記載，為了使星辰各在其位，好讓宇宙保持秩序，冥王奧西里斯(Osiris) 的兒子荷魯斯 (Horus) 每夜必須吞食祂自我吮陽的精液。自我吮陽在古埃及屬於日常生活一部份，但基於此行徑在西方社會一直被視為「禁忌」(taboo) ，一般大眾難以接觸相關資料的知識。在英國維多利亞時代期間，許多描繪自我吮陽的藝術更因此而一一毀掉。

另外關於埃及神話，早先有一說精液其實是毒藥，而在Horus與Seth的長年敵對（rivary）之中，有一段故事是這樣的：

Seth表示有股很想要幹男人的衝動，要求H給他幹，Horus拒絕，後來一直被嚕到受不了，Horus提出要求：分他一些力量，他就答應這場性事。然後Horus被內射結果生病（另一版本是用手接住了精液）。愛子心切的Isis於是非常憤怒，於是在Seth的食物裡面摻了Horus的精液，導致Seth懷孕。

早期版本是生下了智慧神Thoth，後來版本是生下了個金盤子，然後Thoth把這盤子放在Seth的頭上。

於是Seth與Horus就扯平了。

這個兩敗俱傷的故事後來才改成Seth扯了Horus的眼睛（甚至捏爆），然後Horus扯下Seth的睪丸（甚至撕爛）。

不論哪個版本，最後兩尊神終於和解了，力量（眼睛與睪丸）歸位了，也談好了後續安排：沙漠與天空歸給Seth，沃土與大地則歸給Horus。然後尼羅河上下游兩區都有兩尊神的勢力範圍。

因為兩神和解了，所以Orisis也正式復活了，然後成為冥界之王。相對於兒子管活人，爸爸負責管死人。

後來我不知道埃及人對Seth有什麼意見，記得比較晚期的神話變成Seth被Horus打敗，但因為Seth一直受到大神們的喜愛，所以被太陽神Ra找去當船上的守護者，對抗混沌大蛇←雖然我記得對抗大蛇這設定應該原本就有的。反正大部分的神話就是這樣：亂。
