波特萊爾大冒險第一集是很久以前看的了，之後看了電影，中間就沒認真追了，最後一次有關心書的進展如何了是隨便翻了翻第十二集，知道孩子們拒絕了好心的法官，跟惡棍歐拉夫乘船出海，昨天因為影集的關係才去補了一下第十三集大結局

中間跳過了這麼多其實沒資格下評斷，不過我的感覺是，這個系列跟傳統＂孤兒歷險記＂型的故事的不同之處，在於傳統的孤兒歷險記最後都會給孤兒主角們一個可靠的大人當依靠，然後＂從此他們過著幸福快樂的日子＂

但是波特萊爾大冒險系列裡大人是不可靠的，他們不是太壞、就是太蠢、再不然就是死太早，所以整個系列裡，波特萊爾三姊弟換了一個又一個監護人、一個又一個新家長，永遠是靠山山導靠人人跑（死掉）

這個＂大人是不可靠的＂的精神一直延續到了最後一本的結局，終於，波特萊爾的孤兒們找到了解決這個問題的方式：他們不需要大人來當家長，他們自己成了＂家長＂，養育著家中的新成員－－一個一出生就喪母的孤兒，靠自己建立了一個完整而安全的家

我很喜歡這個結局，也覺得這是這＂一連串不幸的事件＂最好的解決方法，最適合這系列的結局

順提，其實哈利波特也是以孤兒主角自己建立新的家庭為結局，但畢竟它的故事過程中還是有一些值得依靠的大人（當然，包括石內卜），向達倫作品的孤兒主角們也好歹會有一個導師在，所以我覺得同樣是孤兒主角自立自強（XD）自己建立新家（而非＂找到＂新家）的結局，波特萊爾系列採用這樣的結局更顯得有意義

（啊，對，向達倫最後根本沒有建立新家......等等，他根本不是孤兒啊XD）

向達倫那個結局以少年冒險小說而言頗有挑戰性，竟然是走了"團滅之後無計可施的主角主動對自己使用人生重來槍來將問題一網打盡"的路線XD
