覺得翻譯的人...... 看到日文外來語好多都把 ル 直接用拼音轉寫ru當成 -r，結果弄出一堆翻譯都是「爾」的譯名

──才剛這麼想，結果發現一些ACG以外的名詞如阿富汗的Kabul也被翻成喀布爾...

真的很受不了凡 -l / -ル都當-r音譯成「爾」

不一定要將-l翻出來，如：

 * Elvis 艾維斯
 * Alphonso 艾馮索
 * Alpha（現代希臘文）作「阿法」
 * Volt 伏特

之類的

記得也有些會依照前後音節而將-l-翻成「勒」

* Michael，文讀翻「米迦勒」，白讀/英文名字翻「麥可」
* Gabriel，文讀翻「加百列」，白讀/英文名字翻「蓋布瑞」

音節多的還要把-r、-l翻出來真的讀的時候會很卡啊。

還有一個名字裡面兩個爾的 (汗

記得過去些翻譯，比如說水丁格（薛丁格）Schrödinger，最後的ger就是直接翻「格」而不是「格爾」。

-r確實有時是可以省略的。

然後我剛剛突然想起來，有些比較舊的翻譯會出現-r當成-l翻，除了透過日文再翻成中文之外

不知道與國語羅馬字有沒有關係  因為國語羅馬字的ㄦ用的是el，不同於WG的êrh或漢語拼音與通用拼音的er。（法國遠東學院拼音則是用eul。）
