Jupiter, the great benefic planet, changes signs once a year to bring sunshine and sparkling good news to a different part of your chart. Last month, Jupiter entered Cancer on June 25, to stay a full year, until July 16, 2014. This is a wonderful, upbeat game changer, as Jupiter will now shift your focus and evolve your approach to your career and to your social life. Jupiter is the planet of goodness, the giver of gifts and luck, and all good fortune, and it is a planet that is, at times, linked to miracles. Financial success usually follows Jupiter too, so indeed, when Jupiter moves into a new sign, that's headline news.
Jupiter will not only provide the precise opportunity you need, but the ways and means to take advantage of the opportunity, too. So if you have a rare chance to join a prestigious professional club where you would make enviable contacts and learn much from the programs the club offers, but feel money is short and are concerned about how you would pay for club's initiation fee, Jupiter may find a way to make the money you need available. The universe, and Jupiter, often works in magical, mysterious ways.
Now that Jupiter is firmly ensconced in your solar eleventh house of hopes, wishes, and friendships, as well as your circle of casual acquaintances, you will soon see that you will get ahead faster by socializing rather than by sitting by your computer and working in a formal manner. Last year, you did well by sending out resumes and proposals that you carefully crafted and wrote down on paper. In the coming twelve months, however, you will need to socialize more and work at your desk less. This may come as a shock to such an industrious Virgo, but it is true. In the coming year it will be not WHAT you know, but WHO!
When Jupiter was in Gemini from June 11, 2012 to June 25, 2013, you were right to focus sharply on your career intently, and to work formally, as there was much to be gained if you did. You may have racked up impressive victories already last year, but if not, you will see the fruits of your labors this year, for you have just entered the second gestation of Jupiter's cycle, the time you get to see an abundant crop come up in your garden.
New people are about to come into your life at a rapid rate. New and old friends will expose you to new interests and introduce you to even more friends, so you will be widening your scope on many fronts. It is true that you may say goodbye to some friendships you started long ago, but only if you both no longer have much in common. It is natural to add friends and lose touch with others as you grow and evolve.
You might want to consider joining a social club in your city, not just a professional organization, and to get more active in social media too. All these areas will play a role in your happiness and success. Among the new people you meet will be one or two individuals who will stand out, and who will be willing to go out of their way to help you succeed. This trend will get kicked off in a big way on the new moon in Cancer (16 degrees) on July 8.
If your birthday falls on September 8, plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of this friendly people-oriented new moon the most. If you find you have a planet at 16 degrees in Virgo, Taurus, or Capricorn, or in Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces, that planet will also get support. Note the planet of that degree, and see what happens. Jupiter in Cancer will be in a better position to help you than when Jupiter toured Gemini. Cancer is a water sign that blends beautifully with your earth sign Virgo, and together water and earth create flowers. It is a very fertile mix to your Sun, and supremely supportive. Also, Jupiter "likes" to be in Cancer, for it is said that Jupiter is exalted in Cancer and exerts its finest qualities in this sign, communicating its gifts smoothly and easily, in a way that is easy for you to absorb. Virgo born in August will feel this influence first, for they are born early in the sign and will be the first to welcome Jupiter. Still, everyone of every birthday will be in line to receive Jupiter's gifts over the coming twelve months.
There will be a gorgeous golden triangle in the sky of earth-shattering importance happening all month, but will peak on your shining days, July 17-19. Jupiter in Cancer in your (solar eleventh) house of hopes of wishes will link to Saturn in your house of true love, and the third leg of the triangle will connect to Neptune in your (solar seventh house) committed partnership house. Something very special may happen on one of these days (or closely after) that you long remember. Each of these planets will be at 5 degrees of a water sign, which is remarkable.
These are heavy-duty outer planets, and Jupiter takes twelve years to circle the Sun, Saturn takes 29 years, and Neptune takes 168 years. To get these three mucky-mucks of our solar system in perfect calibrated position is nearly impossible, but it is happening this month! Does your birthday fall on August 28, plus or minus five days (or do you have 5 degrees Virgo rising?) Then you will get a triple dip of good luck!
When you have Jupiter near, you tend to make the acquaintance of very dignified, learned people who are known in their respective field. You may meet esteemed senators, diplomats, ambassadors, publishers, university deans and professors, famous medical doctors, famous CEOs, or other leaders. Although Jupiter will move through a friendship house, your romantic fifth house is located exactly opposite that house on the horoscope wheel. Often Jupiter will ping energy across the sky into that solar fifth house of love and pregnancy / children, too, so your romantic life should take on new luster.
There is more reason to be optimistic! Saturn, the natural ruler of your solar fifth house of love, will move direct on July 8, having been retrograde since February 18. Saturn will not turn retrograde again until March 2, 2014. This change to a faster speed of Saturn should give a happy lift to your love life - watch the days that circle July 8!
There is one other reason to feel optimistic about your love life: Venus will tour Virgo, from July 23 to August 16, a great time to seek new love, or intensify the love you already have now. It's also an ideal time to shop for new wardrobe items for the coming season - your new clothes will garner you many compliments, dear Virgo. Men, I am speaking to you, too - not just the girls!
The eleventh house where Jupiter will visit is also called the house of hopes and wishes, so it would be wise to decide what you would like to happen next in your life. What is on your wish list? Think big, dear Virgo! When we have Jupiter in this area of the solar chart (eleventh house) often we are granted one wish. It is something that you may have come close to giving up on ever seeing occur. It could be a wish for something material, like buying your first house, or spiritual, like having a baby.
I had a very dramatic experience with Jupiter in my eleventh house. After my first child was born perfect, a harrowing experience for me (I was in the hospital for two months afterward and in a wheelchair six months while I recovered), I was told it was too dangerous to have another baby. Three years later I had Jupiter in the area of my chart where you do now, my eleventh house, and I was determined to have the two children I always wanted. It was in that year my little one, Diana, was born. I feel the circle of happiness was then and still is, perfect and complete. My two children are the light of my life.
After doing plenty of digging, I located the right expert doctor who was willing to help me through a rough, high-risk pregnancy. My birth defect that often had caused massive internal bleeding was causing the problem, yet I felt confident I could pull through. Of course, I did intensive research to find the right doctor. It would be ten years later that I would discover that my doctor had been President Ronald Reagan's specialist, too. The point is, nothing is guaranteed, but if you are passionate, and willing to do what needs to be done to reach your goal, you may be able to achieve it now. Your chances are upbeat. (I am not telling you to gamble with your life as I did! All the way through, my doctors told me that I had made a crazy decision. I am one of the lucky ones, for my choice paid off, but it does not fit for everyone.)
The Sun and Mercury will accompany the new moon in Cancer on July 8 (16 degrees), and at the time of that new moon, you will begin to notice the emphasis on socializing in both your private life and for your career, and being out and about will benefit both areas.
Mercury will be retrograde, however, until July 20, a phase that started last month on June 26. Mercury is your ruler, so it is important to note Mercury's activities, especially when it will retrograde. This time Mercury will retrograde in this same sector of your chart as we have been discussing, your solar eleventh house of friends, hopes, and wishes, for a period of nearly three weeks. During that time you will likely run into at least one old friend from your past, but possibly many more than one!
If you are offered a new job, it's wisest not to take it until AFTER Mercury goes direct (July 20). If you are to work with someone again that you already know well, then it might mean that you both meant to link up again - that there was something more you were meant to accomplish together. In that case, you can accept the new job on the spot. The reason I say this is that if the person is someone from your past, you already started that relationship a long time ago and are simply continuing your relationship now. (No, it does not count if you just met in mid-June - that's not a long relationship! That's no relationship!) Mars will join your friendship house on July 13, giving much more power and brilliance to that area of your chart.
Mars will light your career sector (solar tenth house) before he heads to your friendship sector, so your career should still dazzle from July 1 to 12. Mars has been in your tenth house of fame and honors since early June, so perhaps you have a career victory to celebrate - or soon will. You can still have meetings and present ideas this month, especially while Mars is energizing this sector, until July 12.
Early in the month, July 1, Pluto will oppose the Sun, so it will be a time when love and friendship may seem rocky, for someone in your life is apt to be domineering and intent on you following his or her directives. This seems to get you upset, dear Virgo. Because we teach others how to treat us, you may have to explain and defend your position forcefully. See how you feel. I think if the person in question pushes you too hard, you may leave.
Money may be a sore topic of conversation on July 3-4 when Uranus and the Sun trade angry glances. See what comes up - it's not the best time to meet with your accountant.
Another tough day for money will be July 31, when Mars and Uranus will not see eye-to-eye; in fact, these two planets will have a roaring fight. Do not lend money to a friend or lover unless you don't expect to see it repaid. The topic of money seems to be tension producing and could even end a relationship at this time, so be careful what you say if the relationship means a lot to you.
A work project is likely to come to a conclusion on the full moon in Aquarius, 0 degrees, July 22, plus or minus four days. Saturn will be in hard angle to this full moon, so you may feel tired and worn out, having worked so hard to meet a deadline. You may have to travel to see a client, perhaps about a creative project to get his or her approvals. You would get a decisive answer from the client, but with Saturn turning on a heavy vibe, you are likely to feel you had a strenuous trip. Watch your health - you will be burning candles at both ends near July 22.
Another day when you may notice you've been working too hard will be July 27, when Saturn will be in hard angle to the Sun. If you are well, you may find that there is a man near you who needs assistance - your father, husband, or other beloved male (Sun is male) who may be under the weather and possibly in the hospital. Your romantic relationship may be stained on this day too, due to Pluto and Mars in a tug of war. This is a day to stay home - it's hard for so many reasons.
By July 31, things will be even tenser due to the financial pressures you will be under.
Some astrologers feel July 29 will bring a day of unbelievable harmony due to a certain configuration in the sky. I am not buying it. I feel a new moon is needed to package energy and make it accessible, and there is no new moon - that's July 8. There is no full moon either to help this day, for the full moon will have waned from its appearance July 22.

Summary
July will be wildly romantic and bring enormous opportunity to enjoy social fun. With Jupiter, planet of good fortune and expansion, your ruler, Mercury, and the Sun, and new moon July 8, all in the same house of people / friends / events, you are about to enlarge your circle enormously. Lots of enticing events will come up, and although you tend to like to work long hours, see if you can find ways to take advantage of some of those invitations. Cultivate new friendships, and see if you'd like to get more involved with social media. You may also want to consider joining a group or club in real life. This is the area that will show some of your greatest personal growth, especially starting from the new moon July 8.
You may feel a little rundown and in need of rest by the full moon July 22. If you've been going through a medical protocol, or a series of fitness training sessions, you will now see it end, or reach an important plateau where you can assess where you are and discuss what comes next. At the same time, at work, you'll finish up a large work project that will be due within four days plus or minus, of the full moon, July 22. Saturn will be in hard angle, so expect to work very hard as you reach your deadline. The more you can accomplish on this project earlier in the month, the better, but it's possible that a rush to a finish can't be helped if the client changes some of the details at the last minute. Some rushing near the end date seems inevitable, so put everything else in life on hold until the project is done, which will be no later than July 26.
Mercury, your ruler, will be retrograde all month, a situation that started June 26 and that will continue until July 20. Expect a lot of backtracking during those weeks, with changes and redesigns. On the plus side, you may run into more than one old friend you've not seen in a long time and enjoy catching up.
Your love life may have shown signs of sputtering over the past several months, but with Saturn turning direct on July 8, you will find it easier to navigate a new or present relationship. For some, a closer bond with the person you have loved will be possible. Venus will be in Virgo from July 22 to August 16, a perfect time to sizzle up your looks and step out in style. You can attract love, but you'll have to spend a little energy to do so. Go out, socialize, and see what the world has to offer, dear Virgo - if you do, you'll be rewarded.
There will be a difficult day that may seem strewn with thorns - July 27 - when your partner (or a friend) will be cranky and pushy due to Mars opposed to Pluto. On top of this, you'll feel worn to the bone due to Saturn in hard angle to the Sun. Things will improve a bit by Sunday, July 28, for Venus and Jupiter may muster a sweet day to socialize, but then things begin to go downhill again by July 31. Month's end may bring adverse news, quite suddenly, involving money, most likely about a bill coming due, one larger than you anticipated. Hang in there - August will be a big improvement - I promise.

Venus will go into Virgo July 22 until August 16, a perfect time to attract love.
As you see, you have many indicators that are pointing to a better social life. Buy new things to wear or change your appearance after July 22, while Venus is in Virgo.
Mercury will go direct on July 21, having been retrograde since June 25. During the first three weeks of July, you may run into at least one old friend you've not seen in a long time, and be quite excited to see one another again.
A work project will come to columniation at the full moon, July 22. Protect your health; you will be working hard at that time.
July 27 will be a difficult day when your partner or a friend will be obstinate, due to Mars opposition to Pluto.
On July 31 when Mars has a row with Uranus, you may find expenses rise unexpectedly.
