This will be a big month, with plenty of change and a major emphasis from almost every sector of your chart to promote love in your life. It is a month when many harmonious aspects will be coming to you, one after the other. You will experience two eclipses (one a new moon solar eclipse September 1, and one a full moon lunar eclipse, September 16), plus one gorgeous new moon on September 30 (that date is not an eclipse). This is extraordinary – three important lunar / solar events in one month! We also will see the move of Mars to a new sign after touring your opposite sign of Sagittarius for what must have seemed forever, and even more importantly, the annual move of Jupiter to a new sign – Libra. Last but not least, on top of all that, the luckiest day of the year is set to arrive late in the month! I hardly know where to begin.

Let’s start with the new moon solar eclipse in Virgo on September 1, at 9 degrees, that will bring news of a change in your domestic condition. News about your physical space is almost sure to come up, or it may be that you will get news about one family member, most notably your mother or father, or a person who you think of as a parent. You may move, paint several rooms, kick off a major fix-up project, or do a long hoped for maintenance or repair project. You may see new furniture be delivered to your home as part of a decorating / design project, or you may start to renovate your kitchen, bath, or basement. You may get a new roommate, buy a house or sell a house, rent your first apartment, or find the ideal vacation home. You may host a guest in your residence, bring in a tenant to your two-family house, or give a big party at home – one that you will long remember.

Often at eclipse time there will be news about a family member if no change in physical space occurs. A solar eclipse may mean that someone will be “eclipsed out” of your home or family life, such as a male who will move out (a solar eclipse is male), or if your father has been living with you, he may announce a move to a sunny climate. It is also possible a new baby will arrive to change the dynamics, and of course, a baby is the most exciting development. The baby is not likely to be yours, although if you have signed up for an adoption, it might be, but more likely the news will emanate from a sibling or cousin, or if you are mature, your son or daughter.

Solar eclipses like the one September 1 tend to bring great opportunity and are generally happy occasions. More often than not, they represent a new chapter that is just starting up. You may have felt this eclipse on August 1, one month to the day earlier, or you may feel it one month to the day later, October 1, but most people feel an eclipse within the week it appears, September 1. For a clue of a theme that might come up, think back to September 1, 1997, when we last had an eclipse in Virgo at 9 degrees, precisely 19 years ago.

There are other planets surrounding this new moon, however, and one of them is Mars. The red planet will be at hard angles, so you may have problems with a partner at this time, in love or business. Mars will be a handful, and you may wonder what has brought out such a strong response from your partner, especially because you seem to have done nothing serious to trigger it. It might seem mysterious.

Additionally, Neptune will oppose the new moon, so you may have to deal with water problems, in any of its forms at home, such as flood, broken pipes and other plumbing problems, mold, the topic of drinking water safety, or something else. If you will be away, leave a key with your landlord or family member in the neighborhood (and tell your landlord the name of that person to call in an emergency).

Pluto will be helpful – very much so – and this only underscores the likelihood that you will see money coming during early September (or at the latest, early October), and the source might be from a bank, government agency, insurance company, investor, family member, or other person who will give you a gift or cash. This money would come to you outside of salary.

The other eclipse, a full moon lunar eclipse, September 16, in Pisces 24 degrees, will light your tenth house of fame, honors, awards, and achievements, and be a very important and likely gratifying time for your career. Because this is a full moon, something is coming to a culmination, and at this time, you will have plenty of opportunity to prove to one and all that you are a rising star.

Neptune will be with the full moon, and because Neptune is the planet of photography, film, and other images, you may be on television; in the movies; or the subject of an Internet, magazine, or newspaper story – somehow, people will know your name and your most recent accomplishments. Jupiter will have moved into Libra by this time (more about that in a minute) and boost your creativity in a big way. You will enter your most imaginative time ever, so put forth your ideas with courage. This trend will last a full year, until October 10, 2017.

Mars will again be in hard angle to this eclipse, so you may again have to use diplomacy when dealing with a partner in love or business, for this person may be insistent on having things his or her way. Yet Uranus will be in lovely angle to Mars, so you will likely hear good news too at the very same time, and it will most likely come from a friend. It does not look like your friend can be helpful with your cranky partner, but that friend might. If you all know one another, it seems that you have two situations going on at the same time, but you will enjoy the actions and support of your friend, and that will keep you buoyed.

If you are in an established, committed relationship, or about to marry, your partner has been, and will continue to be, top of your mind most of this year. At times things have not been smooth, but at other times your relationship has been nothing less than spectacular. With Saturn and Mars both in the house ruling commitment, you are learning to dance together without stepping on each other’s toes. On September 27, Mars will leave his challenging position in opposition to your Sun for good, giving your relationship a boost.

I cannot tell you how much compassion I feel for you. It has been very hard to host Mars, the warrior planet, in your seventh house of marriage and partnership, for you were likely sharply criticized at times, possibly quite unfairly. Mars has been in this area of your chart an usually long time, from March 5 to May 27 and then again from August 2 to this month, September 27, when Mars will leave. The second tour, from August through September might have been harder, for at that time Mars was strong – no longer in retrograde.

It will be quite a relief to see Mars leaves Sagittarius, for Mars had been aiming his cannons directly at your Sun at 180 degrees during part of that time. That is a highly stressful vibration for relationships and for health. This month you may feel you can live with each other but that you can’t quite live without each other either. You seem to have been doing a lot of collaborations all year, and so you’ve had only partial control over events. The good news is that control is slowly beginning to shift back to you. The usual time Mars spends in a sign is six weeks, not the lion’s share of a year, as you have had, so happily, future trends brought on by Mars will be shorter.

You will continue to have teacher-planet Saturn in the partnership / commitment marriage seventh house sector of your chart until December 2017, giving you time to think about the kind of partner that would be best for you. You can decide what you can reasonably expect from a close, committed relationship, and all that you will be willing to give in return.

Mars is now about to move into Capricorn from September 27 to November 9. During that time you will have many expenses, and to meet them, you may need to borrow money from the bank to keep up with bills. Fortunately, Mars will be back to normal after November 9.

Throughout September, Mercury will be retrograde, a trend that officially began August 30 and will end on September 22. If your machines have been acting up, and you either quickly bought a new model or had to have the one you own fixed, join the club – we are all feeling Mercury retrograde. You will feel Mercury retrograde in your home sector, so if you’re doing a renovation, keep in close touch with the workers, and be sure any overruns require your signature.

I have been feeling Mercury retrograde too, as this is one aspect that affects everyone uniformly, no matter what the sign. My TV blew up and scared me when it made an enormous POP sound, and my air conditioner was sounding terribly idiosyncratic as it rattled loudly. I called the superintendent of my building to come up, and he told me the compressor was gone, so here I am at the end of August, and I had to get a new one. We all feel impending Mercury retrograde several weeks before its turnaround date. Both my TV and air conditioner were only five years old, and oddly, I had bought both around the same time. Mercury sends in his gremlins at this time. If you had the same problem – or will in the coming weeks – you will know why. We are together on this!

Gemini’s ruling planet is Mercury, so you tend to feel the Mercury retrograde periods more than most, the exception being Virgo, a sign you share with Mercury, as there are only eight planets to go around. It is never wise to sign contracts or launch new ventures with Mercury retrograde because you become somewhat distracted or forgetful during these phases. Judgment become impaired, and given that the very presence of Mercury retrograde means that things are in flux, if you rely on a previous set of priorities that you set up before the Mercury retrograde, you will find that they no longer are relevant.

It is also not an ideal time to buy electronics during the retrograde. Last time the retrograde came by I begged a friend not to buy a car, which she needed desperately. She wound up renting a car for a few weeks until the retrograde as over – she has four children, and she wanted to be sure her new car was safe and in ideal working position.

Now let’s backtrack up the month a little bit to September 9, a big date, when Jupiter, the good fortune planet, will leave Virgo and move into Libra and your house of true love for thirteen months, until October 10, 2017. Quite simply, you will be the most favored of all signs for happiness in romantic love in the coming thirteen months. If you are single, this is great news, for you have a good chance of meeting your one true love in coming months. If you are attached, Jupiter will help you see your love grow. You may decide to have a baby this year, or you may do something special for the children you have now. You may save up for special lessons they need or save up for a camp experience for your child next summer.

Keep in mind that the fifth house, where Jupiter is based, also rules your creative efforts, so you may decide to tackle a major creative effort this year. If so, it is likely to be a success now that you have Jupiter behind you, for whenever Jupiter arrives in a certain part of a chart, he brings money and expansion with him. This is such good news!

The luckiest days of 2016, September 25-26 (bridging two days), will show you how fortunate you are when it comes to matters of love. This would be a magical day to make a proposal for marriage, or to accept one. At the very least, if you have a partner, you should plan a dinner out in the most beautiful, romantic restaurant you can find. It would be an amazingly good time to collaborate on a writing project, agree to a new job, give a speech, or sign off on a book proposal, or you may launch an advertising or publicity campaign. You can also debut an app, for anything having to do with communication or travel will be exceptionally favored.

The very same area will again be underscored at the new moon, September 30, and that will be your favorite new moon of 2016. It will fall in Libra, so all of the emphasis on love will be reinforced. There won’t be another month like this in your life – every aspect will work together to make you happy, dear Gemini. While the luckiest days of the year have two days of influence, the new moon will have the power to give you much longer extended luck, for six months or a year. That is what all new moons do – allow you to choose how you’d like to shape the coming twelve months in the area of the chart that they fall. It will be up to you to take action.

Socializing and being open to new people will work to your advantage. The new moon will fall in your fifth use of love, and because the new moon is in the marriage sign of Libra, you will meet substantial, marriageable types. If you are interested in setting up a business partnership or important one-on-one collaboration, seal the deal on September 25 or 26, or quickly after the new moon September 30.

If your birthday falls on May 29, plus or minus five days, you will benefit even more than your friends who are Gemini. The same will be true if you have Gemini rising at 8 degrees (plus or minus five degrees) or a natal planet in Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius at 8 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. You will feel the benefits of this enchanting new moon. It will color the months ahead, but you must circulate!

This will be a spectacular month for you on so many counts, despite that your ruling planet, Mercury, will be retrograde, a trend that started August 30 and will extend until September 22. Four elegant planets will fill your fourth house of home, including the Sun, good fortune Jupiter, Mercury, and the new moon lunar eclipse, all lighting the areas ruling your residence and family. You may lease, buy, sell, or rent, or renovate your space. You may redecorate, or make needed repairs by de-cluttering, or you may add a roommate or see one leave. No matter what, your space will seem larger, either because you move to a big space, or because you de-clutter so effectively.

The eclipse September 1 will start you going. If you live with a partner, you may get resistance to your plans, so you’ll need to be at your persuasive best. Gemini knows how to run rings around any opponent in any debate, so the smart money says you will prevail. Don’t rush to judgment. This month you may feel you can’t live with each other but that you can’t quite live without each other either. In short, you seem to need one another. (As you see, this month brings some of the sweetest benefits to Gemini who are rather single than those who are attached.)

Mercury will be conjunct Jupiter, so all’s well that ends well. Happy news should come to you about home and family September 1. If you need funds to start work on a major your goal, it looks as though it will be forthcoming.

Next, the full moon lunar eclipse September 16 will switch your full attention to your career. You may be interviewed in the press, or given praise from your boss that results in an enviable promotion. If self-employed, you can acquire a lucrative, prestigious client, and in so doing increase your value and status in your industry.

Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will make a monumental move on September 9 into Libra and your true love sector for the first time since the months spanning September 2004 to October 2005. If single, having Jupiter in Libra is great news, for you will be crowned “the sign most likely to fall in love.” If attached, you’ll get more attention from your partner, introducing a closer, sweeter phase in your relationship. This trend will last for over a year, from September 9, 2016 until October 10, 2017.

If you long for a baby, this coming thirteen months would be ideal to conceive. If you are happily attached and already have children, love will grow for your partner, and additionally, your children will be protected. Loving, graceful planet Venus will do her share too, by spinning in your true love sector from September 1 to September 23, heightening your charms. If you are attached, you may want to travel overseas with your partner, for such a trip could easily turn out to be thrilling now, especially from early November to mid-December 2016 – start planning it now.

You will experience the luckiest days of the year September 25 or 26, when Jupiter will contact the mighty Sun on your behalf. The weekend of September 24-25 should be heavenly too, and your children, if you have them, will make you proud. Plan something special, too, as this is the first time the Sun and Jupiter will meet in Libra in your true love sector in twelve years, producing a magical set of days, and these two luminaries won’t meet again in Libra in this decade. This will be a rare and wonderful set of days – plan something out of the ordinary and super-romantic. No special someone? By all means, circulate with friends on these days. Nothing will happen if you stay home.

The excitements will keep on rolling, especially for romance. Your love life will get a big, more sustained boost from a remarkably friendly and encouraging new moon of September 30 that could send your love life into high gear – if you are single, circulate in the ten days that follow that new moon – look your best and you will be thrilled with results.
