When I was wheeled to the outside of the operating room on the morning of June 12, wearing the special blue paper surgical gown and shower cap to cover my hair, it occurred to me that some things in life have to be faced straightforwardly, and gone through by ourselves without help. I feel these experiences make us stronger and also more compassionate of others.

Yet, then I thought about how lucky I was – so many of you, dear readers, said you would send a prayer for me when I posted on Twitter and Facebook that I was about to have an operation. You responded so warmly, far beyond my expectations, and it made my heart swell. Thank you so much.

Gemini doesn’t often spend a lot of time thinking about money, and this is mainly because you are more interested in discussing new intellectual ideas and concepts. This month is different, however, because you just came through a financial full moon, June 27, and will have a money-oriented solar eclipse in Cancer on July 12. That eclipse will also emphasize money, but this time it will center on the money you earn, and you seem to be ready to find a new lucrative source.

First let’s talk about last month’s full moon, June 27, in Capricorn 8 degrees. That full moon was conjunct Saturn and lit your house of other people’s money. No doubt you were paying bills to those you owed, and expected payments from those who had promised to pay you. Saturn slows down everything it touches, so you may have had to be patient while you waited for money to be wired into your bank account. Saturn was conjunct the moon, so you may have been worried about your tight cash flow, but I see that more money should be coming to you soon now.

The saving grace to your situation of last month was Uranus in perfect angle to that new moon, so money you didn’t expect could have come in, but money you DID expect didn’t. Life can be so complicated. Or, you may have just recently generated new business that came in suddenly and will earn a fee or commission. Or, you may have finally reached a settlement in your divorce, or your -ex paid the late child support payments.

As you enter July, you have another financial eclipse due, and this one will light your own income sector and covers how you earn, spend, invest, save, and pay others. New moons, like this one, are very powerful, but a new moon eclipses, called a solar eclipse, are even more powerful. This is a solar eclipse, indicating a fresh start or new opportunity. This would be the right time to launch a test for a new business idea that you will work on in a more detailed way in weeks ahead.

This July 12 solar eclipse has some stellar aspects associated with it, and I will tell you those in a moment. There will be one difficult one, and that is coming in terms of Pluto opposed to the solar eclipse’s Sun and new moon. This is quite a forceful aspect and indicates someone difficult who only wants his own way and won’t give an inch in a negotiation. This person is bossy and self-absorbed and might be unfair.

Or, it may be that this person is a vendor to you, and if so, be sure you insist on complete transparency, for this person may be padding your bills and acting indignant when you demand to see receipts.

You will have to keep your wits about you in weeks ahead because the topic will center on money. The discussion seems to be about a job that a person either performed for you or money this person feels entitled to receive from you, but you disagree – the demands sound very wrong to you. A new moon eclipse can indicate that it will take time to sort out a question or opportunity, as new moons often set off trends that can go six months to a year.

Looking at your solar chart, it seem to me that the other little planets are upset – possibly horrified – as they watch how you are being bossed around by Pluto on and near July 12, and so they have gathered together to find ways to help you. There will be TWO golden triangles appearing at once in the heavens at this July 12 eclipse, an event I can’t ever remember seeing happen before. Two golden triangles! Wow! A golden triangle signifies planetary collaboration that creates an environment of sublime harmony, joy, and good fortune.

Here is the picture shaping up for the first golden triangle at the July 12 eclipse. You have Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, in your workaday sector, suggesting the assignment you will be given is first class and that you will love doing it. Jupiter will reach out to Neptune in your tenth house of fame, suggesting your face will be “out there” for the world to see. You may get outstanding publicity, or you may get your own Internet or TV show to host. People will know your face after this eclipse.

You may decide to have surgery, or just recently did have an operation and now are working to get back to full health. If so, your timing will be good. Or, a matter having to do with your attendance at college may come up, or a legal case you are involved in may go in the wrong direction. One of these areas are likely to come up for discussion and because each have a yellow blinking light, you will need to strategize to fix the situation. Keep your head down and out of the line of fire. Take all the time you need to think and don’t respond with an automatic, knee jerk reaction. Mar’s brother, Mercury, your ruler, will also go retrograde from July 25 to August 18, another reason you should not launch anything of importance in July or August. Progress will be slow, and there is not much you can do to hurry things along. When your ruler is retrograde, it is a time to go back to earlier projects and decisions to see if there are ways you can improve them. Going back to the past to reconsider, readdress, or redo things is favored, but going forward to start new projects or relationships is not.

I had skipped over an important date that comes in the beginning of the month that I would like to draw your attention to now. This will create a situation that will likely defy logic or expectation. There is not much you can do about it – we are all in the same boat. Each sign will be feeling these somewhat wild aspects in different ways. If you can delay this trip, do, and here is why.

Mars will be weak in retrograde orbit, a trend that started June 26 and that will continue until August 27. When you want to excel in any new venture, you need a strong, healthy Mars behind you – his job is to provide you with the booster rocket to your competitive projects. You won’t have Mars’ help now, and so talks are likely to hit roadblocks and delays. This is why it would be best to launch in September.

Moreover, Mars’ brother Mercury is also retrograde from July 25 to August 18, and so Mercury is adding a layer of complication to reaching progress.
