Dear Reader,

You might already know that I love posting on Twitter (@AstrologyZone), and I am also on Facebook (Susan Miller’s Astrology Zone). What is new is that in December, I added Instagram to my regular social media posts (@Astrologyzone). I have been having fun reading your comments and seeing how the planets are influencing your life.  I had joined Instagram in 2012, but in intervening years I had not been posting there, but now I am enjoying going on Instagram almost every day.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

You have a big month ahead. Mars, the vitality planet will be in Gemini from March 30 to May 15. You’ve waited two years for this high-octane planet to arrive in Gemini to defend and energize you, so this is great news. Mars will give you courage, determination, and drive and will favor you above all other signs starting immediately. With Mars in Gemini, use these precious coming six weeks to plant seeds for a desired outcome to a venture, relationship, or goal that you hope to lead to success. I don’t know the most meaningful desire you hold in your heart, for Mars in Gemini keeps that hidden from me, but you know what it is—it’s something that would change your life for the better, making you happier, calmer, and more optimistic. What seeds can you plant in April to make your aim a reality?

You are fortunate that Mercury has finished being retrograde. Everyone feels some of the frustration when Mercury is out of phase, such as the infamous delays, forgetfulness, mix-ups, lost items, and missed phone calls, among other things. As a Gemini, however, you feel the thwarting effects more because Mercury is your ruling planet. Don’t be upset that Mercury rules your sign (and Virgo)—this is the planet responsible for your agile mind, rapid responsiveness, adaptability, and awesome talent in the communication arts. Be glad Mercury has regulated his orbit while Mars is entering Gemini to help you. No waiting! You can use April productively from the very first day.

Speaking of the start of April, Mercury will be scheming tricks when nearly conjunct Neptune on April 1, and you may deal with pranks on April Fool’s Day. I hope you don’t mind April Fool’s jokes because they could proliferate more than usual. Be on alert and don’t fall for them!

On April 5 you have a new moon in Aries, the sign of adventurous fresh starts. The new moon will fall in your eleventh house, which rules your deepest hopes and wishes, including what you might have your heart set on buying (whether big or small purchases, from a house to a smartphone). The eleventh house rules the friendships you have now and the new ones you may make in the weeks ahead. This part of your chart also rules clubs, both those you joined in the past and/or a new one you might join now. The eleventh house also rules charities and humanitarian efforts you might become involved in to make the world a better place. Finally, the eleventh house rules profits made from the effort you’ve put in your own business that you are now ready to reap. (This last one applies only to those who are self-employed.)

The April 5 new moon makes it a good time to socialize more in the weeks ahead or join a new club or charity effort. You might enjoy meeting at a social club so you can leave the house more often and meet new people. Alternatively, you may find your place within a political group to help elect your favorite candidate, or you may decide to be part of a community effort to bring attention to a worthy cause.

Thanks to this adventuresome new moon, you’ll be very productive. You will find yourself among many people this month, whether you receive an invitation to a party, wedding, baby shower, or other festive event, or you might attend a trade show, community fair, seminar, or conference that draws a crowd together for inspired reasons this month.

April 13-14 will be one of the best weekends of the month when Jupiter will be trine the Sun, and you will see the truth of how lucky you are to have your spouse or business partner/collaborator in your life.

I will admit that Saturn and Pluto, both in your eighth house of credit cards, loans, taxes, mortgages, and other monetary obligations, will not be friendly to this new moon. For some reason, socializing (or enjoyment in acquiring something you want) seems to be at odds with certain financial obligations that are ongoing. There appears to be a reason you are hesitant to spend, and that’s probably wise, for this month will put a lot of emphasis on financial matters when planning a social event or large item you want to buy.

This meditation between participating in (or giving) a special social event or buying something you want (and having the money to pay for it) could reach an increased level of tension by the full moon, April 19. That full moon will be in Libra at 29 degrees and will be directly opposed to surprise-a-minute Uranus in an out-of-sign opposition, in Taurus, at two degrees. The Sun will be conjunct Uranus too, and the Sun rules your third house of travel, as well as communication projects and contractual agreements. Uranus will cause volatility, perhaps involving an assignment or a written or verbal negotiation regarding a contract.

There are various ways this full moon, April 19, could play out. You could be jarred by a love relationship when your sweetheart acts in a way that knocks you sideways. (Your fifth house is involved, so if you are married, this is not your spouse—this pertains more to the single Gemini who is dating.) You seem shocked because you may see a side of your sweetheart’s character that you never expected. Or, what jars you may involve a surprise pregnancy or the actions of one of your children that you need to address as a parent. Whatever comes up seems to involve money, too.

In Gemini’s chart, the moon (in this case, the full moon), will be under siege on April 19, and the moon in Gemini’s chart rules your solar second house of personal income and financial reserves. I wish I didn’t have to tell you that money might concern you as you near April 19 when the surprise news will likely arrive. You won’t see this coming since it seems to come out of left field. For example, you might hear you have to pay a substantially higher tax rate than you assumed or that money you were expecting and depending on coming from another person or company won’t arrive. Alternatively, an insurance company may now offer you too little to settle a claim, or your university may offer you substantially less financial aid than you anticipated. In those cases, I think you should file an appeal. The delay could be temporary or permanent. If someone, such as a venture capitalist or client, reports financial troubles and won’t send the money promised you, it could take a long time to see the funds, if at all

In America, taxes are due April 15, and since the April 19 full moon has a plus or minus four days of influence, US taxpayers will be under this influence at the deadline. A full moon often engenders an emotional response, and this year, the full moon will coincide with the tax due date. (If you file an extension to pay October 15, you would still have to estimate what you owe on April 15 and send it in or suffer penalties. This is commonly known tax law.) Due to the changes in tax cuts recently in the US, many people will not know for sure what they owe but are likely to find out by April 15. Do not be tempted to fudge your tax return, as Saturn in the eighth house, along with Pluto, suggests you could face an audit, and then you would have to defend every choice you (or your accountant) made. Saturn and Pluto are handing you this problem, but wait as there is hope.

Benefic Jupiter will be perfectly angled to the full moon of April 19 in Aries at 29 degrees, for Jupiter is in your seventh house of partners or experts/collaborators you hire. You will receive enormous help from your marriage or business partner—your spouse may bail you out, or your business partner may advance you money. Alternatively, you may have help from an expert, such as your accountant, bookkeeper, lawyer, real estate broker, stockbroker, financial planner, or another financial expert, so listen to him or her.

For example, instead of selling your stock or taking money from your retirement account to pay your taxes, you may be able to borrow against your savings or retirement stocks and not touch that money. Your broker or banker may offer you a loan at an attractive interest rate, and by borrowing, you would not incur additional taxes next year for capital gains or stiff penalties for withdrawing money from your retirement account early. I am not a financial advisor—I am simply reporting what I read in the newspapers, so you must ask your banker, broker, or financial advisor for his or her guidance that will pertain to you. Don’t do this alone, and avoid borrowing on credit cards, for the interest rate will be sky-high if you do.

I do know with Jupiter in your house of marriage and close collaboration, you will receive the right advice. Keep in mind, too, that the tax people will work out a payment plan for you if you do not owe back taxes from previous years. So you should investigate and find out how much the government would charge you in interest and penalties if you are late and have to go this route. You need full information to decide.

April 13-14 will be one of the best weekends of the month when Jupiter will be trine the Sun, and you will see the truth of how lucky you are to have your spouse or business partner/collaborator in your life. If the topic is business, keep April 12 on your radar too, as this aspect, which is one of the most harmonious possible, will be building in strength. It’s clear that you will gain from your romantic partner, agent, manager, publicist, writing partner, lab partner, accountant, bookkeeper, or other expert at this time. (If you have one of the jobs listed, as an example, the talented person you represent will bring you happy news.)

Your career is going exceedingly well, and evidence of this may have shown up last month (March) when it seemed everyone you know in your company or your industry loved your work. As you start April, you will have Neptune, Venus, and Mercury stacked up in your prestigious tenth house of career reputation. Venus will see to it that you are loved, Mercury will bring news, and Neptune will increase the likelihood that you will be on TV, on the Internet, in the media, or otherwise spotlighted in the public eye. I love April 9 for any media attention, when Venus and Neptune will join forces in your career house, and your image will shimmer like diamonds in the Sun. This month’s media attention to your work (or your management’s accolades for work well done) will raise your value in the marketplace. In short, you will be doing well, and the fact that your career is moving along so impressively will help any financial matter you might be thinking about this month.

Watch April 22, when Uranus conjoins the Sun in your twelfth house of work done by you in solitude, such as in a library, in a cabin in the woods, or in your apartment where you live alone. You may receive a surprise assignment to do writing or editing that you will enjoy from a foreign client who wants you (and only you) to do the job.

If you have to sign papers or give your verbal agreement to any plan, avoid April 1 (Mercury nearly conjunct Neptune). Sign on April 7 (Mercury in happy angle to long-term Saturn), or do so on April 30 (when Mars and Mercury are in sync and actions lead you in the right direction). The best day of all, if you can wait, will be May 2, when Mercury, your ruler, will be in the most harmonious alignment possible to lucky Jupiter in your partnership and collaboration sector.

Romance will sparkle for you after Venus enters Aries on April 20, to stay until May 15. This will be a busy, breezy, fun time when everyone you know will invite you to their A-list parties. If you receive an invitation to an event that takes place on May 9 next month, accept immediately—Venus in Aries will be in divine angle to Jupiter, and it will be one of your favorite social events of the season.

SUMMARY

April has arrived and with it, plenty of invitations from friends for fascinating social events. The new moon of April 5 will bring you in contact with many new faces in the weeks to come, but you seem to have concerns about how much your participation will cost if you accept and go. Saturn and Pluto, both standing together in your credit card and loan sector, are acting like killjoys, reminding you of obligations you need to cover this month before you can think of indulging in social activities. All is not lost, however, for Jupiter (giver of gifts and luck) will send beams of happiness to the Sun and new moon from your partnership sector, suggesting your partner may be willing to pay for part or all of the costs involved. Watch for luck from a partner on April 14.

Meanwhile, in your career, you have Venus, Neptune, and Mercury gathered closely together in Pisces, your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement ensuring this could be a magnificent month to move ahead professionally. Financial deals will be outstandingly favorable, and any money will come in one-time payments—in other words, large bundles. With Neptune so prominent, especially on April 9 when Neptune will align with beauty planet Venus, you may be asked to do a film, video, or have your photo appear in a respected newspaper, magazine, or Internet site. You will love the results.

All month, you will have a wonderful advantage, for Mars will travel through Gemini, giving you an enviable lead in all matters. You have not had this privilege from Mars since late April and May 2017. This action-hero planet is about to give you the confidence to be daring and courageous—and to take on a position of leadership—when you go after a goal dear to your heart. Mars will give you the strategic smarts to overcome any obstacle too, so while you have this advantage, from March 30 through May 15, use it for all it’s worth.

A partner in love or business may become a blessing to you on April 14, when Jupiter and the Sun work together in a supremely harmonious way. You may feel Jupiter’s great gift of happiness from this alignment as early as April 12, or as late as April 15. Anyone you are collaborating with—your accountant, business partner, agent, publicist, social media manager, or in love, your spouse or established partner—will become a sparkling gem for you, giving you the right advice and possible help, too. This person will bring you news that will make you jump for joy near April 14, so be sure to use the dates noted over this weekend for important initiations.

Prepare for a possible jarring event at the full moon in Libra, April 19. This full moon will fall in your fifth house of love and bring an opposition from surprise-a-minute Uranus. You may feel unsettled by the bad behavior of the person you’re dating or, if you have children, an action or decision made by one of your older children. This full moon brings Venus into center stage. Pluto will support Venus, easing any unnerving emotions that this full moon may bring up—the matter appears to be temporary, so know it can be solved.

More concerning is that Saturn and Pluto will be in hard angle to the full moon, indicating you may have a major expense, such as for taxes due, or that someone you depended upon for payment (such as your ex for child support, as one of many possibilities) lets you down. If that should occur, you seem to be very upset about it (it’s a full moon, and full moons make us emotional), and you won’t see this coming. Fortunately, you are a flexible, resourceful Gemini and can find a solution if you look. Seek advice from your partner or an expert you hire—this person represents the best part of your life, so rely on his or her guidance. It may surprise you and give you the answer you need.

Later this month, Pluto and Saturn will go retrograde in your eighth house of other people’s money. If you are trying to win approval for a loan, settle an inheritance, apply for a scholarship or university financial aid, put in your application at the very start of the month. After April 24 and 29, the dates these respective planets retrograde, you may face delays and mix-ups until these planets go direct, October 2 and September 18, respectively. You’ll find this a valuable time to review how you’ve handled money in the past few months and decide on any financial course corrections that you want to make.
