這篇文章跟之前討論Lin的P&R能力的文章是同一個作者寫的，
但這篇比起上篇，顯然引起網友更多的討論，
有些人同意，有些人認為作者的觀點稍嫌偏頗，
提出不同的看法。

跟大家分享幾個網友的留言，
倒不是說Lin是不可批評的，
他的弱點相信他自己也很清楚，
只是我覺得多看看網友們不同的想法，
也有助於我們更瞭解這些專業知識。^-^

首先是本篇文章下面，按讚最多的兩個留言，
原諒我偷懶，只大略翻譯一下：

Whitman Lam

As the only point guard option on the Knicks, he had to avoid getting into
foul trouble early in the game. Most of the time he didn't even raise his
arms to contest shots, because he could get whistled for a foul just for
brushing a shooter's elbow. He couldn't play superstar physical the way Rondo
and Metta World Peace do because he didn't get favorable whistles from
officials. Earlier in the season he played excellent defense, then played
softer because the coaching staff can't let him foul out. Baron Davis was
injured and Mike Bibby was a drop off, so he couldn't afford to sit down.

身為尼克唯一的PG，他必須避免過早陷入犯規麻煩，

1.The best defense is offense, that is Mike D'Antoni system all about, I
believe it is Kevin McHale's too.

2. Nowadays, it is hard to play defense one on one to a good PG or other
explosive players. Jeremy Lin blow-by John Wall and other defenders many
times, but you cannot say John Wall is bad defender.

3. Jeremy Lin is still gaining experience and improving.

在冷笑話體系中，最佳的防守就是進攻，相信McHale（火箭隊總教練）也是如此。
而且在現今的NBA，本來1對1防守就是很困難的（通常必須靠協防），
JLin面對John Wall打得很好，但你不能說John Wall防守很爛。

我個人覺得寫得比較精闢的有兩則：

10樓的formido

這篇留言很長，就不整個貼過來了，主要重點是說明為了不讓PG陷入犯規麻煩，
通常不會要求他們成為防守大鎖。
另外他認為1對1防守的數據並不是衡量一個球員是否有防守能力的好指標。

重點在最後一段：

effective on aggregate defensive production? Yes. The Knicks were a top 5
defensive team last year. With Lin on the floor, their defense got even

The analysis there brings up a crucial point. Yes, although he's quite
athletic, Lin is not Iman Shumpert. He needs tools to help him use his
basketball IQ to limit opponent points, for example an effective shot
blocking center that he can funnel his man to. To wit: "[Lin and Chandler]
ranked ... 16th of 470 two-man combinations that logged at least 600 minutes
together last season." Pretty good, no? Lin and Chandler had the best two man
defensive rating on the Knicks, a top 5 defensive team. So at the very least,
when paired with appropriate people, Lin is capable of leveraging other elite
defenders to achieve elite defensive interaction affects. If Asik is as good
as advertised, there should be little cause for fear.

他認為Lin在1對1防守時確實不夠出色，原因在於他必須在做團隊防守時，
更專注於自己對位的球員，以及加強水平移動的速度。
Lin當然需要控制自己的失誤，但他認為在攻守轉移的時候，
Lin的表現並不像本篇文章作者所指稱的那麼差。

JLin does need to work on paying better attention to his man while playing
team defense and he does have to get quicker laterally in man to man defense.
That said, his propensity toward an aggressive help defense leads to a more
swarming, turnover creating defense, which ultimately is a net positive IMO.
Conclusion, as expected, JLin needs to cut down on TOs while maintaining his
aggressiveness and needs to play better man on d while maintaining his knack
for help d. In context, his transition ability is FAR greater than the
article states, and his defensive ability points out the hole in his
abilities but does not take into account his overall effect on d.
