Gemini Man is a film that has been more than twenty years in the making. The big reason for that has to do with the approach to the premise — which involves a younger clone of an aging assassin sent to kill him — as the makers wanted to create a computer-generated clone of the protagonist, rather than cast another actor to do the work. For the longest while, the technology didn't exist to execute that convincingly. But it does now. Owing to the two decade-long delay though, the concept, premise, and underlying themes of Gemini Man have been explored several times. In 2002, Star Trek: Nemesis riffed on the concept (poorly), opting to use Tom Hardy to play the villainous clone of Patrick Stewart. In 2009, Duncan Jones explored the philosophical aspects of cloning with his debut film, Moon. And in 2012, Rian Johnson used time travel and different actors — Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis — for a similar premise.

When his grandmother is near death, João visits her and she curses him to be honest and always tell the truth. Now João has a big trouble since he needs to dispute the presidential election and respond the inquiry of the commission telling only the truth.

"O Candidato Honesto" is a funny comedy based on the Brazilian sad reality about politicians. Foreigners may believe that it is only a joke with politicians, but indeed this comedy depicts the behavior of most of Brazilian politicians. The character João Ernesto Praxedes is based on characteristics at least three Brazilian presidents. The plot uses the storyline of Jim Carrey's "Liar Liar" and the final speech of Al Pacino to John Cusack in "City Hall" in the corrupt Brazilian environment of politics. Leandro Hassum is a great comedian and has great performance. Unfortunately the conclusion is corny and moralist. My vote is seven.

Watching the trailer for Nobody, on the other hand, you can’t really avoid the odd tonal mishmash—it’s like the first half of the trailer is promising an entirely different sort of film than the second half.

The first half makes Nobody look like a serious drama about a milquetoast, trod-upon man with a dark past finally snapping and becoming a vigilante, ‘ala some combination of Falling Down, A History of Violence, The Brave One and Death Wish.

The tone then shifts momentously in the back half of the trailer, however, with machine guns, car chases, hidden gold and absurdist dialog that makes Nobody look more like a comedy parody of John Wick.

It’s really difficult to tell which half more accurately represents the film as a whole, but it seems impossible take take Nobody seriously with a line like “give me the goddamn kitty cat bracelet!” Suddenly, this sounds more like Key & Peele’s Keanu, does it not?

【無影無蹤】《獅子王》（The Lion King）在1994年上映時，佛雷德．拉德（Fred Ladd）接到一通來自舊金山的電話。一名記者劈頭就說，他懷疑《獅子王》抄襲了手塚治虫的《森林大帝》（Kimba the White Lion；1965-1967）。

佛雷德．拉德於是走進了戲院觀賞看看到底發生了什麼事。首先，他發現一隻智者山魈，嗯，《森林大帝》也有同個角色。然後又出現了一隻聒噪的鳥，OK，《森林大帝》也有。接著他又看到了反派鬣狗，他開始覺得不對勁了，心想如果再有雷同，肯定就是抄了。

看了五、六個幾乎與《森林大帝》完全相同的設定之後，場景到了小辛巴望向夜空。他盯著大銀幕，然後跟他太太說：「不要告訴我⋯⋯等等他爸爸的臉會出現在月亮上面。」結果如同他所說，月亮上真的出現了父王木法沙的面孔（如圖示）。

「《獅子王》確實抄襲了《森林大帝》。」拉德如此論定，宛如敲下了審判槌。

．

佛雷德．拉德是誰？他是將手塚治虫改編動畫引進美國的第一人。可說美國後來掀起的日本動漫熱潮，都要歸功他當時的絕佳眼光，所以他當然最有資格評論此事。

．

佛雷德．拉德出生俄亥俄州，職業生涯的前三十年都在紐約工作，雖然專業領域在影視，但他早年都在一間公司協助製作自然生態紀錄片。不過在1960年代，日本無法以美元支付購買版權的費用，於是他要求對方不妨提供一些動畫片來進行「交換」。只是他拿到這些作品片長多半落在30至50分鐘，不符合當時美國有線電視的片長，因此他還得另外重新包裝與剪輯，有時乾脆將卡通剪成電影長片送去戲院發行。

．

1963年，NBC以超低廉的價格買下了一個關於機器男孩的卡通，但沒人知道劇情關於什麼。他們找上了拉德，請他協助配音與重新包裝。最後他成功促使超過50間美國電視台購入了這個卡通，《原子小金剛 Astro Boy》因此正式打入美國市場。也因為《原子小金剛》在海外市場的大成功，使得東京的動畫公司如雨後春筍般湧現。

1965年，手塚治虫的公司虫製作主動找上了點石成金的佛雷德．拉德，他們製作了第一部彩色動畫，名叫《森林大帝》（台灣當時命名為《小獅王》），主角是一隻生活在非洲的獅子「金巴」。金巴在獅王父親早逝之後，一連經歷了放逐等困境，最後在許多動物好友的支持與鼓勵之下，鼓起勇氣擊敗反派，奪上王座。在拉德主導之下，《森林大帝》也成功打進了美國市場。

．

不到30年後，一向從童話或傳說故事取材的迪士尼宣布要推出一部保證原創的最新動畫長片。不過這部《獅子王》雖然廣受喜愛，但一上映就被看著《森林大帝》長大的卡通迷吐槽到不行。不止角色設定太雷同，大至故事架構，小至情節，幾乎根本一模一樣。即便在美國動畫圈頗有聲望，與迪士尼也關係良好，但佛雷德．拉德實在看不下去，公開指控迪士尼抄襲。

．

連在片中為辛巴配音的男星馬修．柏德瑞克（Matthew Broderic）也不給迪士尼面子，向記者坦言自己剛拿到劇本的時候也同樣覺得困惑，因為整個故事實在跟童年時愛不釋手的《森林大帝》太像了。

．

針對這項指控，迪士尼透過美聯社回應，說這項指控是子虛烏有，表明迪士尼絕無瓢竊。導演之一的羅伯．明可夫（Rob Minkoff）接受採訪時，聲稱自己從不知道《森林大帝》的存在，但後來卻被發現原來他在1980年代人在日本擔任動畫師，豈有可能不知道這齣日本國民動畫？

佛雷德．拉德在2003年受訪時，再次被問及此事，已經不見怒氣，更多是覺得啼笑皆非。他說當時的迪士尼主創團隊全是看著手塚治虫的動畫長大的一代，甚至連辦公室裡都放著一個金巴的面罩。

．

雖然依然認為迪士尼在瞎扯，但他也不必追究，因為當時虫製作的總裁松谷孝征受訪時很大度地為迪士尼緩頰，他說：「如果迪士尼受到了《森林大帝》的影響，我們的創辦人、已故的手塚治虫老師肯定會非常高興。就整體來看，我們認為《獅子王》與《森林大帝》完全不同，《獅子王》確實是屬於迪士尼的原創電影。」

既然事主無意深究，這件事也就不了了之。不過虫製作當時做出這一番回應，或許也是無可奈何。因為手塚治虫本身早期的作品就經常大抄迪士尼角色，包括七矮人、小鹿斑比都被他做過「重新詮釋」，米老鼠在他早期的漫畫《大都會 Metropolis》（1949）還以基因突變的怪物身分出場。但當時版權觀念不如現在嚴謹，華特．迪士尼（Walt Disney）本人也無意找手塚治虫的麻煩，坊間更有「英雄惜英雄」之說。

．

如果這時虫製作向迪士尼興訟，也會讓自己落得尷尬局面。因此松谷孝征只說，如果手塚治虫地下有知，應該也不會有任何反應，甚至可能會有「受寵若驚」之感，只想息事寧人。

．

但不知是否此例一開，讓美國人食髓知味，後續如《亞特蘭提斯：失落的帝國 Atlantis: The Lost Empire》（2001）再被指控抄襲庵野秀明的《海底兩萬里 Nadia, The Secret of Blue Water》（1990）。今敏的《藍色恐懼 Perfect Blue》（1997）則是連分鏡也被《黑天鵝 Black Swan》（2010）抄去。

一向身處幕後的佛雷德．拉德因為公開談論這起抄襲公案而成名，但成功促使美日動畫交流才是他對影視產業最重要的貢獻。晚年他曾出版《Astro Boy and Anime Come to the Americas: An Insider’s View of the Birth of a Pop Culture Phenomenon》（2008）一書，暢談日本對美國動畫產業的影響。

2021年8月3日，他以94歲高壽於加州辭世。

喔對，我發現MCU在配樂方面有一個很弔詭的事

補充一點，我認為MCU在配樂方面有一個我不能理解的事，那就是「除了《復仇者》以外，沒有一部的主旋律會沿用到續集，而且幾乎每一部續集都換作曲。」

像是《鋼鐵人》三部曲就三位作曲，除了第一部之外，另外兩部的主旋律或是主題曲，2沒有印象，3要想很久才會想起來而且雖然好聽但真的就是無法取代1的主旋律（畢竟第一次聽到的印象會較強烈）。

提姆波頓兩部蝙蝠俠、喬舒馬赫兩部蝙蝠俠、黑暗騎士三部曲、山姆雷米蜘蛛人頭兩部曲，都是用同一位作曲。

而且就算有換配樂作曲家，007換了那麼多配樂，主旋律還是每一部都會有啊。

‘No Hard Feelings’ Is a Much-Needed Update to ‘Failure To Launch’

As suggested, the two films are most obviously connected by their stories. In both films, the parents are desperate for their sons to grow up, even though they are depicted as enabling their behaviors. In both films, a woman is paid by the parents to help their son mature, though Parker’s Paula is a professional and Lawrence’s is not. In both, the two leads each learn from one another and change by the end of the film. Also, unrelated to the plot, but of note for the small-world effect, the films share a married set of stars (Failure to Launch’s Parker and No Hard Feelings’ Broderick have been married since 1997).

Though No Hard Feelings and Failure to Launch share a similar plot, they are differentiated from one another by genre. Failure to Launch is rooted firmly in rom-com territory, meaning the film adheres closely to romantic comedy conventions. The first and most important convention is the coming together of the mismatched pair of protagonists. Whereas Tripp’s living at home and inability to fall in love is presented as a sign of his immaturity, Paula’s job and confidence are supposed to signal her self-sufficiency. Over the course of the film, it is revealed that the roles are reversed, and it is Paula that actually needs to find romance. The two fall in love and end up together, providing the typical and expected conclusion of the romantic comedy formula.

The second convention is the film’s focus on gender difference. Fully embracing stereotypes, Failure to Launch creates a world where men and women behave entirely differently, down to the point where Paula’s job depends on a foolproof formula for what she can do as a woman to strengthen her male clients’ egos. As seen with Tripp, this includes attending sporting events and playing paintball to prove she’s “not like other girls,” even though she’s only doing so as part of her act.

As a sex comedy, No Hard Feelings is freer from the romantic comedy tropes. The film still focuses on a pair of mismatched leads, as proclaimed by the film’s “Pretty. Awkward.” marketing campaign. However, the film is, from the beginning, well-aware that this pair should not be together. Rather than following a narrative where the two end up a romantic couple, Maddie and Percy form an affectionate friendship by the film’s conclusion. Additionally, the film is far less interested in playing on gender difference and more on generational difference. When Maddie goes to one of Percy’s pre-college parties, she is bombarded by signs that she doesn’t belong, including being recorded on cell phones, breaking into rooms to find teens watching videos rather than hooking up, and even one party goer asking if she is someone’s mom.

As suggested by the earlier discussion of Failure to Launch’s focus on gender difference, the formula established by Failure to Launch is well in need of an update. Luckily, and maybe even surprisingly, No Hard Feelings answers this call. As noted above, No Hard Feelings is less interested in embracing stereotypical gender norms. This is also evidenced by the characters themselves, with Maddie being the more assertive and aggressive of the pair, traits typically reserved for male leads in rom-coms of the 2000s.

Not only is Failure to Launch a spiritual successor of sorts to No Hard Feelings, but the latter offers an update to the former’s formula that is more appreciated by those who have seen both. The two films share similar sensibilities likely to be appreciated by those who have seen No Hard Feelings and are looking for more or who are fans of Failure to Launch and want to see something new.

上映第一週不誇張，22日那禮拜去戲院結果大排隊，《芭比娃娃》剩下兩個分離的爛位置。芭比還沒看所以不知道詳情，《奧本海默》就是傳記片，對於票房反應我也很意外。（我有說過我現在不太愛看真人真事改編，但這次有點心動。）
另外文章提到《超級瑪利兄弟》的亮眼佳績也是算「令人耳目一新」；如果只是指「尚未或極少改編大螢幕」的IP的話確實是如此，但劇情主幹真的也是老哏：事業運不順的主角意外成為異世界救世主（但這部我推）。

I wanted to like this film, the only problem is it has very large shoes to fill. The two films that come to mind, obviously, are "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight" with Billy Zane (rated a 6.6/10 here) which tackled the whole "end of the world/standoff in diner/lone hero fighting alongside the little guys against a legion of bad guys" thing 10 times better and "The Prophecy" with Christopher Walken (also rated a 6.6/10 here) which tackled the whole "good angel versus bad angel/showdown on earth" thing 10 times better. Both came out in 1995 and while they didn't have the special effects that this one had, they had a cohesive story, GREAT acting and believable characters.

The internet is going to crucify this film, so I'm just going to break it down simply: The first hour or so is pretty good, and if it had stopped at the 70 minute mark, it could come close to the 6.x rating it's getting now. The last 30 minutes is a rushed, hatchet job that will make you regret seeing this film.

Also, SHAME on the editors of the film trailer for spoiling the two best scenes of the film (the old lady "reveal" and the ice cream man "reveal".) I hate when you do this. You stole all of the impact those scenes had and lowered my rating by a point.

Don't pay to see this film, rent "The Prophecy" and "Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight" instead.

【Bio-Man的nacgm世界（影評碟評）】幾個朋友從去年上映就一直跟我說，這片我應該會喜歡。片中有轉大人的黃腔梗，也有政治不正確的元素，甚至是珍妮佛勞倫斯徹底放飛自己上演貨真價實18禁橋段的劇情。

但我只想說，這跟我有沒有在戲院看都無關，因為整部片看完我真的覺得，這部片就是很純粹的勉強達標院線規格的電視電影而已。事實上，如果這片要是就是網飛的電影，我可能會說這是網飛拍最好的一部成人喜劇。而這偏偏只是新力旗下的作品而已⋯⋯

會太嚴苛嗎？我想要是各位還記得我曾經對於《婚禮玩很大》嚴苛到直言「好笑的都在預告就演完了」這種評價的話，基本上應該就能明白我對於限制級喜劇的要求到怎樣的等級了。

我是說，拜託，即便是週年紀念的正宗院線第四集的《美國派》就算沒有過去三部曲那麼好笑，但至少作為一部黃色喜劇仍然是合格有餘到讓人難以忘懷，特別是史媽媽與吉姆爸在戲院的⋯⋯你懂的⋯⋯

做為一部黃色喜劇，其實故事最根本的核心應該是從「性」做為出發點，講述「性」的動機，以及「性」導致的代價與後續收尾。

《美國派》系列把「性」當作是成長的代價，越過那條線之後伴隨來的責任與後果；我個人不是很喜歡的《破處》也是走同類型的套路，只是故事偏驚悚與少量黑色幽默。

某位將摔角生涯退休的看不到他的那位主演的《圍雞總動員》，甚至將限制級笑點集中在管太多的父母身上，來強調世代對於「性」的責任的價值觀，並不會因為時代氛圍改變而有所落差，重點始終在「選擇」。

更別提普遍評價不高，但我個人很愛的電視片《小電影製片家》，透過主角拍色情片的過程碰到的種種糗事，對應實質上電影產業的相同困境。

而《珍愛硬起來》的故事文本先天上其實真的就沒有拍成黃色喜劇的必要性，因為實務上來看，就是熟女對上剛成年的新鮮人版本的《賴家王老五》的文本架構。

只是編導稍微貪心的觸及了觀光區居民面對生活趨於困難，留守或是出走的貧富差距社會議題，並以此作為故事推動的動機。儘管片中女主角與男主角的父母都在對白談及沒有歧視性工作者，但很抱歉，這個文本先天就帶有著「老子有錢」的制高點視角做為出發點。我想這片大概最成功的，就是觸怒我這個窮鬼背景出身的人，且讓我感覺徹底被冒犯了，然後我還能邊笑邊罵這部片有多虛偽了。（容我用米蘭達口吻表示，我並不是在稱讚）

大學生私家新生聚會的歧視霸凌議題不夠深入（劇情都決定放飛了，表現上還需要怕政確的攻擊嗎？）；男女主角夜泳的跟路人衝突的劇情，我看不出來全裸摔角的劇情發展的必要性（同樣的效果，我相信引發酒吧亂鬥也能給人更直接的感官體驗）。

全片在「走出心牢」的主題打轉，只是透過「性」做為出發點的劇情前提，其實本來可以拍的更俐落到位（經濟困境的故事線其實真的可有可無，著墨在女主角面對生父的無情帶來的頹廢放縱其實就很夠了），但是大量的背景設定與資訊量，拖慢了黃色喜劇該有的笑果，以及讓觀眾過於理性的看待劇情文本的推演。最後就是很多梗回收的像是片長不夠了，只能草草收尾。

要我總結看完的感受，也許一如我的朋友們所言，很久沒有院線上映的限制級黃色喜劇，但勉強達標不等於這是一部讓人收貨的「好看的」限制級黃色喜劇，至少在我這裡⋯⋯我可能寧可重看20年前的《小姐好白》都還比較能感受到像樣的喜劇該有的樣子，但我們都知道，時代氛圍與一堆玻璃心碎的政確寶寶讓現在的喜劇越來越難拍的現實對吧？

最低標的喜劇片，就是冒犯部分族群來成就笑點；高招的喜劇，則是讓被冒犯的人都能一起哈哈大笑不覺得被冒犯⋯⋯這片兩個都不是⋯⋯喜劇片註定是要有人被冒犯才能夠成立笑點，而這片《珍愛硬起來》最大的成就，大概就是冒犯觀眾的智商。

- 我覺得2014機器戰警與2010 Clash of the Titans以劇本上來說算是跟原作出入比較大的了

  像是後者，除了打Medusa最後打Kraken之外，沒有一處跟原作一樣的。

  雖然很喜歡2012的Total Recall／攔截記憶碼，但是這一部的劇情架構還是跟1990版一樣。
