You will love July, for it is truly one of the best months of 2014. Two planets are making important moves into a new position, and by the time this month is out, you will have a whole new outlook and many reasons to be optimistic about the future. This year has been difficult so far, because you were forced to labor through many retrograde planets. While all planets retrograde, it's rare to see the kind of lineup we saw in the first six months of 2014 with one planet going out of phase right after the other.
First Venus, the planet of love and fun, went retrograde from December 21, 2013 to January 31, 2014. That put the kibosh on parties and carefree fun - when Venus retrogrades, it's all work, no play. Then Mercury, the planet of communication, negotiation, and contracts went retrograde from February 7 to 28, so deals had to be put on hold, for too many elements were changing dynamically to have a clear picture of the road ahead.
After that, Mars, the planet responsible for high-energy initiatives, went retrograde March 1 to May 21. By this point, you were at wit's end. Mars assures a solid liftoff, but with Mars languishing, you had to supply the steam by yourself. There would be no rest for the weary, for Mercury went retrograde starting June 7 and went direct July 1. If you felt that you were having a hard time making progress, you now know why.
When planets retrograde, they withhold their best gifts, and we all have to do the best we can without their help. You could have made progress, and you likely did if you were determined to steamroll forward, but it took all the energy and concentration that you had to give. Once a planet goes direct, it needs a little turnaround time to fully come up to speed. For example, Mars went direct on May 19, but at first Mars' orbit was very slow, just like a person just waking up and needing several cups of coffee before he feels ready to get going. It would take weeks for Mars to build up speed, and by July 20, he will be back to where he was in March at long last.
Any retrograde planet will ask us to look back to tweak and polish previous projects and to find ways to make more of current relationships. It was not a time to seek new opportunities, but to finish what we started. We feel the retrograde motion of the so-called personal planets of Venus, Mercury, and Mars - the ones that spin closest to earth - much more directly than we do the outer planets, including Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto when they go retrograde. The personal planets have a direct effect on our day-to-day experience, so that's why you may have been more frustrated with the lackadaisical pace of the last six months. Thankfully, you will not have any more retrograde personal planets to slow you down, not until October, when Mercury will retrograde from October 4 to 26, and two eclipses will come by on October 8 and 23. The rest of the year brings an open road and lots of blue sky. The message is clear: 2014 officially begins now, in July.
As you begin this month, you will be still feeling the lyrical effects of the new moon that appeared on June 27, in Cancer, which will set your love life aglow.
All new moons set up two weeks of energy, so if you are single and looking for love, see if you can circulate more from July 9 onward. We have a few cosmic storms coming through in the first week of July, which is why I say to step out mid-week, on July 9. Even if you have nothing much on your schedule as you read this, you will see that invitations will start to pour in, and that some will be too special to pass up. If you are attached, you will have exceptional fun with your one-and-only and possibly with your children too. July is your month to celebrate your love for all those in your life that make life so beautiful.
Your creative ideas will take flight in early July too, and you'll want to share them with the influential VIPs at the top. Don't hold them in, dear Pisces. You have a superb chart, so keep a list of your ideas and present the ones that you feel are best and hold the greatest potential for success and profit.
If your birthday falls on February 25, plus or minus five degrees, you will benefit from the June 27 new moon that appeared last month, still exerting a powerful flow in early July. The same is true if you have Pisces rising 6 degrees, or a natal planet at 6 degrees Pisces - love will be in the air.
A beautiful full moon in Capricorn 20 degrees, Saturday, July 12, will heighten your emotions and your fun quotient too, for that full moon (operative plus or minus four days from this date) will bring you to an event that will be populated by many friendly people, some of whom are friends of yours, and some who will be new to you. You may want to cultivate the friendship of some of the new people you meet, and that would be a good idea.
This full moon of July 12 will be conjunct Pluto, so those you meet will be successful types, with interesting professions. Saturn will be friendly at the new moon too, so if you do make the acquaintance of one or two new people, and you make the effort to know them more, they will likely stay in your life for quite a while. Saturn has been retrograde since March 2 but will turn direct on July 20, another indication that your social life is about to take flight.
If your birthday falls on March 10, plus or minus five days, you will feel the sparkling effects of this full moon the most. The same is true if you have Pisces rising 20 degrees, or a natal planet / moon at 20 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, in Pisces, Scorpio, Cancer, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn.
On Sunday, July 13, you might want to give a party or gathering at your home, as Venus in Gemini will make home your favorite and most stylish place to be. Venus will be in perfect sync with Mars, making this weekend a standout for fun and love. Show off your flair for entertaining then, and your event will be the talk of your friends for many months to come. If you prefer, you can use this day, July 13, to buy new additions to your home. You may find the ideal piece of furniture on sale, buy a bright new rug, or stock up on linens. No matter what you need for your home, you would find beautiful options.
For months, you've been dealing with high expenses, partly due to the presence of Mars in Libra. We need to step back for a second to see what you've been dealing with in terms of finances, to understand why things have been so hard, and why your finances are about to improve quite a bit - soon! In October of 2009, Saturn went into your house of credit, debt, taxes, and other people's money, including money people owed you if you have a business, or in terms of child support you expect to receive monthly as a few examples. Saturn was to stay until October 2012, and was making you tougher and wiser about how you dealt with others in regard to financial matters. Saturn in the eighth house can be terribly difficult, and to add another layer of stress, Uranus, the planet of surprise, entered another financial house of yours, your second house of earned income, found directly across the eighth house. Having two big planets pressuring you on financial matters from opposite houses had to make those years tough.
Saturn was to leave on October 2012, and you expected relief, and you got it for a while and may have been able to pay off debt during that time. Your relief was to be short lived. Mars was to make an unusually long visit to your eighth house of other people's money, starting a year later, December 7, 2013, and has remained in this area of your chart to this day. Mars' usual visit to any part of your chart is usually six weeks, not eight months, so again your expenses began to rise. You may have had a relative or child who needed financial support, or you may have been going back to school to get a degree. You may have owed taxes and were negotiating a deal with the government, or if self-employed, you may have been dismayed to learn that a client who owes you has just gone bankrupt and won't be able to pay you after all. There were many possible reasons you were seeing a lot of cash leave your bank account.
To add fuel to the fire, a monstrous eclipse arrived on April 15 of this year and may have added another blow to your budget. The good news is, Mars is set to leave this difficult position this month, on July 25. Yay!
Mars will enter a new position in your chart - Scorpio - and your ninth house of distant travel from July 25 to September 13. From now on, Mars will be in a silky smooth position that will be highly compatible with your Pisces Sun. Tension will be reduced for the first time in literally eight months. You have been under so much financial pressure for so long that you may have given up on the expectation of ever getting relief. Get ready, dear Pisces - a better day is dawning starting July 25.
With Mars in Scorpio, you will likely travel more, and to a location a far distance from home, and you may also deal more with people abroad. In fact, you may generate more business overseas, either by going to the country you are developing or hosting guest executives from that city to your own home base. Matters of immigration, visa, passport, green card, and the like will be more easily solved than it may have been for you in past months. You may decide to go back to the university for an advanced degree, and if so, your interviews and applications will be well received.
If you work with the media, in broadcasting or publishing, those areas will light up, and you will have more assignments coming in. If you are in a court case or taking legal action, such as to file a trademark or to register domain names, you will find things will go smoothly. Truly, the difference between having Mars in Libra, which was not compatible, and Mars in Scorpio will be the difference of night and day.
Now let's turn to the most exciting moment of the month, the day when Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will move into Leo for over a year's stay, from July 16, 2014 to August 11, 2015. In Leo, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will brighten your house of health and fitness. I have found that having Jupiter in this area of the chart is the very best possible place for taking measures to improve your health. It is also the ideal place to have Jupiter to lose weight the sensible way, getting fit, and for generally developing a proper exercise program that you love so much that you stick with it because it makes you feel like a million dollars.
If you didn't get started on your New Year's resolution to get fit last January, do so now. This is a FAR better time to get fit than January ever could be. Start at the fantastic new moon, July 26 in Leo and in the days that follow. Of course, always check with your doctor first, to get her okay to begin. That new moon will be conjunct Jupiter and bring fine advice from any number of distinguished medical professionals. Pisces is generally not thought to be a robust sign when it comes to health, so I am sure some Pisces readers have concerns they would like to address. If you need to find a specialist or to try a new solution to help a chronic condition, this would be the month to do it. Be optimistic, dear Pisces. Jupiter rules happiness, expansion, and financial gain, and is also is the master planet of healing, known to bring miracles.
The same part of your chart where Jupiter will reside for almost thirteen months also rules work projects, and you will start to get more than you can possibly handle. Calls with news of new assignments will start coming to you almost immediately. This will allow you to pick and choose, and put your talents to best use. Last year Jupiter toured your fifth house of love and creativity, and in regard to your creativity, you generated many original ideas. Now you will get the right assignments to materialize those ideas and concepts - and they will be lauded as pure genius. Jupiter will see you are paid generously too.

A new moon requires that you do something to show the universe that you are serious about achieving your goal. At this gorgeous new moon, July 26, the best of the year, you must seek out new business, or ask your boss to let you take the lead on one of the more high profile, interesting projects in the department, perhaps one more complex than you've ever handled before. I feel you are ready for more sophisticated projects, judging by your glittering aspects - you would know best.
To celebrate the arrival of Jupiter to Leo, the sign that coined the phrase, "Go big or go home," the mighty Sun will dine with Jupiter on Thursday, July 24 (two days prior to the new moon), and bring us all the luckiest day of the year. This is an annual event, but this is the first time these two luminaries of our solar system will meet in Leo and your sixth house of health and work. While a new moon (July 26) will ask you to do something to trigger your luck during the two weeks that follow the new moon, an exciting conjunction works differently. On July 24, the Sun and Jupiter will bring you pure luck. You certainly will get help from a VIP on this day.
On July 24, you may make a presentation for new business, or present a risky creative idea that you generated and believe in deeply. Show it to an influential executive. When it comes to love, Venus will move into Cancer in your house of true love on July 18, to stay until August 13. This is great news - the perfect place for Venus to be. First, see about improving your looks, as Venus will make sure the choices you make now will be ones that will get you many compliments. Change your hair, buy a few new things to wear - Venus' presence means your charisma will be very high.
Then, if single, be sure to circulate. I spoke about how special the first half of this month will be for you, as Jupiter will be in his last hours of Cancer before moving out of your romance sector and into your health and work sector. As you see, Venus is standing by to make sure the enchanting vibration of July keeps on going. Dear Pisces, drink in this magical month. It seems to have been tailor made for you.

This will be momentous month, for Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is set to change signs on July 16, moving from Cancer to Leo, and will stay almost thirteen months in this new sign of Leo, until August 11, 2015. Jupiter has not been in Leo since August 2002 to August 2003, so this influence is new. In Leo, Jupiter will strengthen your health, always - good news for a delicate Pisces. If you have been dating seriously, and talked together of the future, you may feel it will soon be time to set the date of your marriage or if already attached, to plan for a baby.
If you didn't meet anyone special over the past thirteen months, you will have one more dazzling chance now. Just as Jupiter is beginning to exit your romance sector, you had the perfect new moon of June 26 to jazz up your social life. That new moon will continue to help you though the first half of July. Circulate, dear Pisces, for when Jupiter is near, miracles can happen. Be out and about the first two weeks of July.
To make sure you don't have a letdown in the love department after Jupiter moves on to Leo, love-me Venus will enter Cancer, a superb place for you, from July 18 to August 12. You will have an ideal chance to pick up new wardrobe items for the coming season, as new fashions will start to arrive in the stores. Venus in compatible Cancer will ensure you look your very best. All through June, Mercury was retrograde, but will turn direct on July 1. Now you can begin to negotiate and sign contracts, as well as purchase new things, confident you won't regret your purchase later (as is so common when Mercury is out of phase.) Saturn will go direct on July 20, allowing you to have more fun with friends. As you see, one by one, each planet is working to collaborate with you and bring a beautifully optimistic picture into focus.
