August will be a month that will be all about growing your influence and power, perfecting your skills, and finding ways to increase business and your income. Life may have a different look and feel now that your career has caught brilliant fire in an exciting way, and everyone you know in and outside your industry will being to notice your growing success. It would be hard not to! You've become - or soon will become - a firecracker in the night sky. It is a time to apply all your education, experience, and enthusiasm toward reaching one main professional goal. The curtain is going up, the orchestra has started, and everyone in the audience has their eyes on you and on your performance. It took years to get to this time!

When Saturn moved into your tenth house of honors, awards, achievement, and fame in October 2012 for the first time since 1982-1985, you began a cosmic course of development toward growing your wisdom and your stature. All the conditions are right for you to make a big name for yourself. You may have been given your professional shot at the big job and the corner office immediately, in the late months of 2012, but more likely, Saturn made you prove your worth first. Clearly, Saturn never gives you anything for free, for Saturn wants to see an all-or-nothing devotion to your ambitions. If you feel on display, you are, but that's a good thing. In truth nothing much happens until you get other's attention.

Some Aquarius were able to see their big career turning point in 2013, most likely at near end of that year. If nothing crystalized then, there is nothing to fear. Powerful forces continued to gather strength, and by May 2014, the cosmos was certainly ready to unleash its strongest energy to move into your new role. April and May brought such gale force winds that a very new and fluid environment was emerging, allowing you to move up near the full moon of May 15. That full moon came conjunct Saturn, so no doubt any job you took on then was a weighty one. You are likely in that top position now, but if not, Mars will give you a big push forward this month. Mars will help you form the foundation for your new position, as an advance man would, getting you ready for another eclipse that will affect your career (this time a much more friendly one): the solar new moon eclipse on October 23 - after it appears, it will work its magic.

Mars has not been in your tenth house of fame and honors - a house the ancients called the house of dignity - for two years. Mars' new arrival means Mars is getting you ready to launch a new two-year professional cycle, and will boost your ideas into the stratosphere. That is Mars' job, and having seen how slowly conditions changed in the first four months of 2014, while Mars was sleeping in retrograde, you will be gratified to see swift movement in August. Don't let anyone tell you nothing much starts in August on the career front - you will prove those people wrong!

Your profile is now very high, and because Mars is now moving at very rapid speed, this is your best moment of 2014 of the year to go after the big career prize. If you already got the corner office, then it is time to announce your agenda. Saturn will still be with you, and will come in the guise of an older, experienced person who will be on the job and always ready to help teach you the ropes.

After a while (and you may have come to that point now, or will later), you will likely feel that you don't need Inspector 12 looking at all that you do, and you will probably invite him or her to devote time helping others. In truth, that VIP that I call Inspector 12 will not be going anywhere until December 23, 2014, so you might as well be good-natured about having this person hover. That older person will be there to see you achieve your best potential, so when you become frustrated, remember that it's nice to have a supervisor or mentor as committed to your success as he or she is.

An important date on your timeline will be August 15 when you may have a major meeting with a VIP, and you would be wise to keep this meeting highly confidential. This meeting will come along thanks to Mars in ideal angle to Pluto. A friend will likely make the introduction between you and this massively powerful person, for this meeting has incredible profit potential. Whatever is discussed, it has powerful ramifications on your future. Watch and see who comes into your life at that time.

Up until now I have been speaking about power, but not money. That changes now. The door for you to open talks about money will be at the new moon, August 25, in Virgo 2 degrees, when you will have a chance to go after a substantially better set of benefits from your company. You can also raise venture capital, get a line of credit from the bank, deal well with a tax matter, or pull in a great commission. This month's new moon will arrive in your eighth house of other people's money, and so this is the house that funds big dreams by providing the capital needed, because it is beyond most people's ability to raise themselves.

Now let's turn to another vital event in August. This month's full moon that will appear over the weekend of August 9-10 will be in your sign, Aquarius, at 18 degrees. A relationship or a dream very dear to you is about to reach culmination. It will be an emotional or very tender matter, most likely involving a close relationship, proposal, or even your wedding, but it could be almost anything joyous. Uranus, the planet that rules Aquarius, will be full of surprises and have such a sweet attitude toward this full moon. I feel you will be very excited by any event you attend - it will be filled with electricity - and it will be the only full moon in Aquarius of the year. That's big! Circle that weekend in gold!

If you have a birthday that falls on February 6, plus or minus five days, or have Aquarius rising 18 degrees, or a natal planet at 18 degrees Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius, with the same tolerance of five degrees in either direction, you too will feel the effects of this full moon and be excited by all that occurs.

This would be no month for you to be on vacation, but there is a string of days that will show you that you CAN travel with stellar results. Make your travels short, but they will be so packed with high energy, surprise, and romance that you will be glad you planned a few getaways. I had just mentioned one weekend, August 9-10, that will be so personal and special for you, I give it five stars.

Now the following weekend, August 16-18, will be beautiful too. (You see I added Monday, August 18, to make it a long three-day weekend.) That's an important set of days when Venus will conjoin good-fortune Jupiter, a once-a-year event, and this time both will meet in your house of marriage and true love. Like the previous weekend, and depending on the mathematics of your chart, a long desired proposal may come up, or among these days, you may have your wedding day. On this weekend, you may weave a tapestry of love too beautiful to miss.

I will sound practical now by saying August 16-18 would also sparkle for business relationships. There will be substantial profit to be made with any alliance you forge on these days. (I told you most of the month was about power and money - it just keeps rolling for you, but NOT in the gambling sense!)

When Venus in Leo receives a golden beam from your ruler, Uranus on August 23-25 (another weekend! Gosh, you have so many!), your friends will be deliciously kind to you, and if you are single, one pal might introduce you to a romantic interest that you will find has much electricity with you! If you get invited to a party, go! If a friend wants you to meet someone new, don't say no!

Last May likely brought up interesting career options, and now, in August, you will have a chance to dig deeper on talks you may have been conducting or a top job you may be considering. If you accepted a new post earlier, you can now lay out your strategy to make a name for yourself. Mars will be in the ideal position to draw attention to your ideas, rally support, and set your agenda. The only time you may have a small problem moving forward is August 25, when Mars (go!) and Saturn (stop!) will send you mixed messages, and you'll have to find a way over an obstacle. Take your time - there is no reason to rush. Generally, however, your career will glitter - seeing your name on the big marquee will be a source of enormous pride.

In love, a relationship is growing deeper and more enchanting in every way. If you are single and dating a lover very seriously, a proposal for marriage is very likely to occur in August if one didn't already come up in July. Commitment is sometimes a scary thought to independent Aquarius, but with Jupiter now filling your marriage sector, the idea of promising your love forever has become sweet and lyrical - something to celebrate.
