Since end of July, you've been going through a very intense, and at times exciting, period for your career. September and November will be superb months to make your mark in your industry and aim for a better position, whether by changing jobs or by getting a promotion. If you are self-employed, you can now pitch and win prestigious accounts. When the tenth house is activated - a house found at the very tip top of the chart - you would discuss a position that represents a big step up for you, as this would not be a lateral move where you do fairly the same job for a different company. It's your time to shine, and many planets in your chart are echoing the same theme.

Last month you had Mars lighting your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, allowing you to get the attention of VIPs and to interview impressively. Mars will continue to help you through the first half of September. Don't be blue to see Mars leave this house, however, because next month a very friendly new moon solar eclipse will come by in Scorpio, and actually ratchet up the opportunities for you even more.

If you are already in a new job that you took earlier this year (most likely in May when you had powerful planets acting like fairy godmothers to get you that corner office), then this end-of-the-year flurry of activity in your career sector indicates you can still elevate your authority and underscore your leadership by making announcements, setting policy and your agenda, or by becoming the spokesperson for your company, as a few examples. Or, you may get exciting publicity, or launch a new division, product, or service for your company.

Last month taskmaster planet Saturn was orbiting close to active Mars, and both planets were shoulder to shoulder in your prestigious tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. However, Saturn and Mars were sending you mixed messages. Mars was shouting, "Go! Be assertive! Be quick and competitive!" while Saturn was saying just the opposite, "Be cautious! Wait! Think things through! Perfect your strategy! Don't rush!" How frustrating that must have been for you! Saturn is the slower orbiting planet, so Saturn likely won that debate - you almost had to slow down. (A slower moving planet will trump a faster moving planet because the slower planet stays in any house it visits longer, so its message has staying power.) There was value in going slowly and thinking things through. Now, in September, Mars and Saturn are now far enough apart to end this confusing situation, and you will be free to move ahead assertively. There are several reasons I say this.

Pluto is the ruler of your career sector (tenth house) but has been in weak retrograde motion since April 14. Once Pluto goes direct, September 22, you should see your career take off at a much quicker pace, and you won't have to wait so long for approvals.

Next month, October 23, you will have an important new moon solar eclipse that will open the door to a new position as well, and a solar eclipse is one of the most powerful aspects possible. This eclipse will be friendly, unlike the two eclipses we had April 15 (a monster) and April 28. Starting October 23 and in the weeks to follow, the theme of career will enlarge. It is likely that certain positions will emerge for you to interview for, and again, the jobs you discuss would offer more power and influence that your previous job accorded you.

Money seems to have been on your mind lately, and if you had to negotiate a deal with a banker, venture capitalist, client, or your company concerning your own benefits (say, if you were starting a new position), last month's new moon, August 25, was very favorable. If you saw my report last month, you may have scheduled meetings and presentations. On a simpler level, you may have negotiated better deals with your Internet provider or credit card company.

The full moon on September 8 was in Pisces 16 degrees, and brought closure to your money-oriented talks. It was time to send out checks and hear the final word back on various proposals you may have sent out. All full moons are influential for four days after they appear, so until September 12, you may be dealing with and wrapping up financial details. Pluto and Saturn both were very friendly to this full moon, so you were able to shake hands on a deal that you would find favorable and fair. If you have something expensive you need to buy, like a computer, this is the month to do so, or wait until November 10 or beyond (more news about that later).

Mars will enter Sagittarius on September 13, to stay until October 26, and set off a very social trend. You will get a chance to let go of career pressures by relaxing at events and arranging lunches and dinners to reconnect with friends. Friends may be very helpful in the second half of September for making introductions for you, and remarkably, if you are single, a new romantic interest may result.

If you are attached and feel your relationship has become a bit dull, you can add spice by traveling to a city neither of you has ever seen once Venus enters Libra, a great place for Venus to be for you, September 29 to October 23. Looking at your star power, a trip would certainly fan the fires of love.

Mercury will be retrograde next month, from October 4 to 25, so September will be your month to see high productivity. In terms of romance, if you had hoped to reconcile with a former love, make moves in October, a good time to do so. Mercury is the natural ruler of your solar fifth house of true love, so when retrograde it is a good time to look back to that relationship to see if you both can still make a go of it.

The new moon of September 24 will be a very energetic, active one. It falls in Libra, 1 degree, in your ninth house, the area of our chart that we turn away from routine and see life in its biggest and most adventurous possibilities. Most people travel a far distance when the ninth house is activated, but you may alternatively see progress with international relationships you may have in business overseas. You may do import-export of goods, services, or information. Or you may finally be able to sort out an immigration matter that may involve a green card, visa, or passport. If you are in court for any reason, even to find a fair settlement in a divorce, you will find this new moon very helpful to coming to a final agreement of the division of property.

Because this house is in intellectual area of the chart that deals with taking in new information and also dispersing it, you may be going abroad on a grant or study program, or working hard on your thesis that you might defend at month's end. (If so, try to do so on September 25 - more about that day too in a moment.) You may be thinking about exams you need to take (no worries; you can ace them) or interviews you will take at various colleges, as this house rules all facets of academia, including having that important college interview in the hopes of getting that coveted letter of admission. If you are a writer, you may get a book contract or see a book you recently published be translated into another language. If you are in broadcasting, you may begin a new TV project, as the ninth house also rules the media.

This new moon will be unusually powerful because it will arrive at 1 degree of a cardinal sign. The cardinal signs are Aries, Libra, Cancer, and Capricorn, and when you see a new moon at zero or 1 degree of a cardinal sign, that's news. You know you will see activity, and the time after it arrives will not be boring. The cardinal signs correspond with the points of the compass - north, south, east, and west - which is why the zero or one degree of a cardinal sign hits one of those spots on the compass exactly.

Cardinal signs define future direction, so you will find that this new moon, falling in your ninth house, will allow you to make exceptional progress in one of the areas ruled by this area of your chart that I have been discussing. (Those include distant and international travel and relationships, higher education, the media, academia, and legal matters.) This new moon happens to receive very friendly vibrations from action planet Mars in Sagittarius, a sign that blends well with yours, so hold on to your hat! Mars' involvement only dials up the news and activity of this new moon. This suggests a friend could be very instrumental in helping you see progress or even a complete breakthrough this month.

If your birthday falls within one day prior to January 20 or five days after this date, you will feel the effects of this new moon the most. You would feel almost the same affects if you have Aquarius rising at 1 degree (or within five degrees of that degree) or a natal planet in Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius within five degrees of 1 degree.

Now for truly exciting news! On September 25, Jupiter, the good fortune planet, will receive a golden beam from Uranus, planet of surprise and all unanticipated events. Uranus also rules Aquarius, so this means you will have a double dip of luck. (Yay!) Uranus is in your third house of agreements and contracts, so you may have a big breakthrough in regard to a deal you are trying to finish. You may travel a short distance unexpectedly and have a great experience with the people and events that you encounter on that trip. Your sister or brother are also covered by the third house, so you may hear sudden good news about your sibling, or get special help, a tip, or introduction from your sister or brother. Also, not to be overlooked, a middleman (other than your sibling) will likely play an integral part of your luck this month too. That person might be a headhunter, broker, lawyer, agent, representative, or even your spouse or steady sweetheart. Keep that in mind!

In late August, you did a fine job of managing your money by finding ways to lower your expenses. You may have sought to get a better finance rate from your credit card company, or negotiate a more attractive recurring expense from your phone and Internet providers. You may have negotiated a refinanced mortgage that has a far better interest rate than you were charged on your original mortgage.

By the Harvest Moon, a full moon, September 8, you will send checks and generally wrap up your emphasis on money. Saturn will be sending his finest greetings to that full moon, indicating you can create a more settled and secure financial base at this time. Pluto will be helpful too, so a wealthy, influential and successful friend may have a tip for you concerning a new job or about a new client you can pitch if you are self-employed.

You are in a powerful career phase, and you will see more activity in your career than you have all year. Any new position you discuss now or through October-November would bring you to a new level and be quite prestigious, and pay well too. Clearly, you are not about to make a lateral move to do the same job in a new settling.

This emphasis on your gaining more respect, power, and influence in your industry will be true if you are self-employed and pitch and win a new client. You are likely to score quite a victory and elevate your status and influence in the industry. You will have more emphasis on your career once the friendly new moon solar eclipse arrives next month on October 23, so talks triggered by the eclipse will be ongoing through November.

Keep your eyes open for opportunity, for Pluto, the ruler of your tenth house professional sector, will go direct on September 22. From then on, you will see a much faster pace in your career, with quicker approvals on your ideas, and generally all around more progress. If you are happy in your present job, then at this new moon September 24, you may make important announcements about the agenda you have set, and new products or services you will introduce.

By the new moon September 24, you may be ready to travel to a city far from home, and if so, you would be most likely to go for business. Even so, you will have time to explore the region you visit, and being out of town will refresh you. Alternatively, at this time you may be heading back to the university to finish up work. This new moon makes a direct link to career success, so it is possible that your company will offer you matching funds for your tuition. It's worth asking about, just in case your company helps employees by providing incentives to improve their skills by going back to college.

Your favorite day of the month will occur one day later, September 25, when Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck, will receive a beam from your ruler, Uranus, to create more opportunities to travel, quite spontaneously, this time with your partner. This is due to bring a happy day that provides hope, happiness, and a breakthrough on something you've long worked toward and have wanted dearly. Just a note - this lovely aspect due on September 25 will be within orb from the second half of September through mid-October, although it will be stronger this month. That's because the two planets will be building their energy as they come together to create this sparkling aspect. After this aspect peaks September 25, the energy of the two planets will begin to lessen gradually until in mid-October it will fade. Use it while you can!

The new moon in Virgo that appeared last month on August 25 makes early September an ideal time to discuss salary or fees, with the expectation to get approval. By the full moon, September 8 (plus or minus four days), you will likely conclude your financial talks.

You have been in a strong career mode for a very long time, but it will be time to lighten up when Mars will tour Sagittarius from September 13 to October 25. You will be invited to more parties and have much more time to socialize.

As the month comes to a close, you may need to take a business trip, or one for quick rest or recuperation at the new moon in Libra, September 24, plus ten days. You may travel far and wide, and things should go very well. If you go for fun, even better! Study, writing, research, exploration, legal debate, and other intellectual pursuits will shine for you.
