This month, you have all kinds of planetary activity. A number of dates will be spectacular - some of the best of 2015 - and some turbulent. These dates will be tossed together in October like an array of well-worn children's crayons in every color description in an old wooden box.

Before I continue, I will alert you to the fact that Mercury will still be retrograde until October 9. Mercury started its retrograde on September 17, and it has been in Libra, in your tenth house of prestigious career progress, causing many delays and false starts during the past several weeks. Soon Mercury will turn direct on October 9, but if you could see the mathematical journey of Mercury, you would soon see that Mercury is not at all energetic as soon as he ends his retrograde.

Mercury always needs time to get back to his former strength, and that will happen gradually by October 27. You can resume normal activities now and even buy electronic equipment (something you must never do during the three weeks that Mercury is retrograde), but if the project or goal is vitally important to your future, you may want to wait to initiate that plan on or near October 27 when Mercury will be strong again.

Like most months, October will be hinged to what happened last month. On September 27 we saw a total eclipse of the moon in your house of home. Eclipses are some of the most powerful aspects the universe uses, for they set up themes that they force us to deal with immediately, and not put off. Often an eclipse will speed up timetables, so if you planned to do something, say, two years from now, you may have to do it now.

That eclipse may have wrapped up a debate about whether you should move house, and if so, to where. Or, you may have had a change of roommates, or needed to schedule a massive property fixup. Perhaps you are thinking of doing renovations. Of all the signs, you have had more reasons to move or focus on home than any other sign. This is because you have Uranus, planet of sudden unanticipated change, transiting your solar fourth house of home, a sector Uranus first entered in 2011, and will remain until 2019. (Early-born Capricorns were most touched by Uranus in 2011 and 2012, for example, and late born Capricorns, say, born near January 17 or 18, will feel this more in 2018 and 2019.) These days, no matter when your birthday happens to fall, you may be busy working on decluttering your home, doing a major fixup to your house or apartment, or changing roommates.

Now, as you enter October, you will continue your focus on home, but your attention will also focus heavily on career. I need to warn you that the new moon, October 12, will not be entirely friendly. However, like I alluded to at the start of my report, you have this witch of a new moon alongside one of the best aspects of 2015. Stay with me and I will explain.

Uranus will oppose this new moon on October 12, in Libra, 19 degrees, with very tight mathematical significance. This suggests that shortly after the new moon appears on October 12, you will hear of a sudden change regarding your career. A client may leave or management may issue a dictate that you find shocking. Because the Sun will receive an opposition from Uranus too, you may have some sort of hit to your financial situation. The company may issue layoffs or announce a change in how commissions are calculated (not to your liking). Or, your accountant may tell you that you owe more in taxes than you expected. (If you live in the US and filed an extension, you would be paying taxes by October 15.) These are just some examples, so you see, this is not a friendly new moon when it comes to career and money. A business partner may be troublesome too, so you might have your hands full. No matter what occurs at the new moon to your career, your home life will be directly affected too.

What concerns me is that a new moon in Libra sets up a six-month trend that you will deal with until the full moon in the same sign as the new moon (Libra) comes to end the situation - that would be the full moon in Libra, March 23, 2016, which is also a lunar eclipse. You may decide to change jobs if you don't like what is being said to you, or find new clients. Doing that may take you nearly six months to get settled and to finish off the problem that comes up at the new moon. If your birthday falls January 9, plus or minus four days, you will feel the effects of this new moon more than your other Capricorns with birthdays that fall at other times of the sign.

Pluto is in hard angle to this new moon too, so you may feel strong-armed into accepting some sort of dictate, or, conversely, you may be tempted to strong-arm someone else when confronted with what comes up after October 12. Here is my advice on that: you might not have to mount an aggressive reaction, and besides, it may backfire. You have an ace up your sleeve, so let me tell you about that. Things can work in your favor in another situation operating at the same time, so keep the faith - you really are in an enviable position, but you may not see that immediately. You will, you will.

Although Pluto will be in hard angle to the new moon of October 12 - suggesting a situation may arise that will take you six months to sort out - you have another aspect involving Pluto that puts you in a position where you can level the playing field, and turn the tables in your favor.

Remarkably, Jupiter and Pluto will be in perfect angles to each other on October 11, an aspect so rare and brilliant that if you could find a way to bottle it, you would be a billionaire. Jupiter is in your ninth house, and Pluto is in your first house of identity, ruling your desires and reflecting how you feel, think, and look. The first house goes to the core of the "you" that is inside you. You have several areas shining for you that I will now list, and one of these on the list may provide the key to helping you succeed in a big, profitable way.

I will be specific: You may gain an enormous advantage by going back to the university for an advanced degree or to take classes to brush up on your specialty. Your return to college or taking a qualifying test to become accredited in your profession could be the solution to difficulties you face as a result of that career new moon.

There are other brilliant areas that shine for you: legal actions and the legal profession, so maybe your lawyer has ideas - check in. Publishing and broadcasting projects and people are very lucky for you too, and seem to involve the international trade of goods, services, or information. This means that working with executives or companies that are based in foreign countries or owned by foreign companies run abroad or in your country would be an area to look into. If you were thinking of applying for a grant for research overseas, do it. Immigration matters involving visa, green card, passports, and/or citizenship are also areas of gain. One of these areas will glow for you and may even bring you hefty profits down the road - only you would know which area would likely pertain to you and to work on immediately.

Your solar ninth house, where the above-mentioned activities are based, now houses transiting Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck; Mars, the action planet that suggests you will be correctly focused on this area with great motivation and energy; and Venus, the planet that adds popularity and softness to the picture. Venus' presence shows you have considerable charm that will naturally surface and allow you to gently, almost effortlessly, rally others to your cause.

On October 17, for the first time since July 22, 2013, Mars will conjoin Jupiter. In your solar chart, Mars rules your fourth house of home and family, so this is the area due for a breakthrough over this weekend date. If you are moving or hoping to find furniture and other items for your home, this would be the weekend to look. Interview contractors and announce your choice on this date. You will be lucky - you'll likely find what you want, and at a great price too.

The next date will be October 25 when Venus will conjoin Jupiter, an equally rare event as the one listed for October 17. Venus is the natural ruler of your career AND also encourages your talents and creativity, so you should get a big boost from Venus on this date. It's a Sunday, but you will also feel the energy building on Friday, October 23, and some of the glow of this aspect will be evident on Monday, October 26 as well. (If you need to set an appointment on a workday, make it Friday, October 23 as the stronger date.) Use one of these sets of dates to stretch for a big goal, for you will have a wonderful competitive edge.

You may be able to travel this month, for you have many planets stacked in travel houses, and you can choose if you would like to go near or far. Check into travel packages, for you may find one that is so attractive it would be a shame to stay home. You may travel to a foreign country for business this month, too, and it would be a good idea to have a face-to-face with the client. Doing so seems to benefit you. (The ruler of your ninth house of travel will be placed in your house of honors and achievement, the reason I say this.)

Romantically, you have a sensational, tender moment coming up at the full moon, October 27, and that covers the weekend of October 24-25 too. I love this gentle full moon in Taurus, a fellow earth sign like yours - it is filled with poetry, the scent of honeysuckle, and soft, lyrical music. This full moon will be darling, and Neptune will spin a dream so beautiful that you will remember the touching feelings you felt long after it is over.

If your birthday falls on December 24, plus or minus four days, you will benefit the most from this full moon. The same is true if you have Capricorn rising at 3 degrees or a natal planet in Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus, Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio at the same 3 degrees, and in all cases, apply the tolerance of plus or minus five degrees.

Halloween will bring out super-creative energies this year, thanks to a signal between the Sun and Neptune on the day before, October 30. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, bringing the grace of Venus to a higher level of beauty and love. If you have a child, begin making your child's costume early in the month so you don't run out of time. With Neptune so active, the competition will be stiff in your child's school for first prize for most imaginative costume. The same goes for you if you plan to go to a party!

Home and other property has consumed your mind for the past several months or even during the past two years, and some Capricorns have had to move more than once. If that describes you, you have great sympathy from friends and family. Moving is hard, and now, a new development that may cause more changes there may have come up at the end of September, when a lunar eclipse occurred.

As you enter October, you are likely to still be working out the details. You may move, renovate or do a number of things to your home to make it more organized, stylish, and comfortable. In October, your options will be more numerous and satisfying than ones you have seen lately. You have Mars and Jupiter to thank for this, for these planets are orbiting close all month and will conjoin on October 17, your very best day for home-related ventures. Mercury, the planet of communication, was retrograde since September 17 but will go direct October 9, so sign papers AFTER October 9, leaving space of a few days.

You will need to rapidly switch your attention to your career, for things appear to be coming off the rails. Uranus will oppose the new moon suggesting management will suddenly change several policies, including commission / bonus structure. Or, the powers at the top may institute a sudden wage freeze for the foreseeable future, much to everyone's dismay. Things will feel different at work in coming months, so you may have to decide to whether to stay with your firm or go.

If you run your own business, with Pluto in Capricorn, don't come on too strong to your staff or you will distance yourself from the troops. You will need your workers' support as you move forward. Whatever is going on at home will influence your career decisions.

International companies and markets seem poised to give you a favorable response to your proposals. The college market will be equally strong. With planets stacked in travel houses, this would be a perfect time to travel to meet a client face-to-face overseas, or to take a vacation. It seems you may need to go to a foreign country to complete a deal or assignment, and if so, your outlook would be very positive. Pluto in Capricorn will send a rare, golden beam to Jupiter in Virgo on October 11, a rare configuration that's a clear signature of success. That dates falls on a weekend, so try to jump on projects either on Friday, October 9, or very early in the workweek, on Monday morning, October 12.

Romance should scintillate like a series of firecrackers for you, as Mars will cuddle close to Venus in an earth sign, Virgo, which blends perfectly with your Sun. By the tender full moon, in your house of true love, October 27, Venus and Mars will be only three degrees apart, a rare proximity that will intensify your charms. If single, Venus is no longer retrograde, making this full moon an ideal time to meet someone new, or if attached, to grow closer to the one you love. Attached Libras may now be thinking "baby" - so if having a child is your dream, talk seriously to your partner about making that dream a reality. Travel will be the most glowing part of your chart now and in November, and romantically, allow you to leave everyday cares behind to give your sweetheart or spouse loving quality time.
