Aries Horoscope for December 2015

By Susan Miller

As the month begins, you appear to be on a roll in your career, with praise coming in the early days of the month, when Mercury in your tenth house of fame will contact innovative Uranus. Uranus is known to bring news unexpectedly and that strikes like lightning. Look your best, for in the first week important eyes will be on you.

If you feel you haven't progressed as quickly as you expected during the second part of 2015, it could be because Uranus has been retrograde since July 25. That will change when Uranus in Aries bolts forward on December 25. From then on, you will have an open road to speed faster toward goals than you have for seven months, and you will find that you will get more support from those who matter to help get your ideas approved and materialized.

December will be an exciting month, for distant travel will be written all over your chart. It seems likely you will be heading to the airport at some point during this festive month. You have several strong aspects throughout the month that suggest that one way or another, you will be getting out of town.

Over the weekend of December 5-6, the Sun and your Mars will be in ideal sync, so you may fly away with your sweetheart to a romantic, snowy location - or a sunny spot to relax, such as on the pink sands of Bermuda.

December 8 might bring on a spontaneous trip too, when surprise-a-minute Uranus will be perfectly angled to the Sun in your distant travel sector. This time your trip may be for your work (the Sun will be in world traveler Sagittarius) or to see friends (Uranus).

A much bigger push to travel will come up at the new moon, December 11, also set to light your ninth house of travel. A new moon is the most powerful aspect of any month, for it will open a portal of two weeks, and set up a dominant theme.

This new moon of December 11 will fall in Sagittarius at 19 degrees and will be a stronger influence than the dates previously mentioned, and will make it even more likely you'll be packing your bags to go to a distant destination within the two weeks of that new moon. Again there will be more evidence that you will travel at the spur of the moment, as the spirit moves you. I say that because Uranus will be in supreme harmony to the new moon and Sun. In this case Uranus will bring you lots of fun in the spontaneity of it all.

The ninth house, where all the action will be focused for you, does not just govern distant travel, but also covers the following areas, which all glow for you now: international relationships and work with people abroad; immigration matters, including passport, citizenship, green card, and visas; and publishing and broadcasting projects or opportunities, whether you are part of the team as reporter, entertainer, or producer, or guest invited onto the media.

Alternatively, opportunities may arise from the courts and from your own legal actions through your lawyer, and academia - the energy you will put into (or have already put into) the attainment of an advanced degree. One or more of these areas will likely bring very good news. A new moon is a time of initiation rather than fulfillment, for fulfillment usually comes at the full moon.

If your birthday falls on April 8, you will feel the benefits of this new moon the most. The same is true if you have Aries rising, or a natal planet or natal moon at 19 degrees plus or minus five degrees. If you have a natal planet in Leo or Sagittarius, or Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at 19 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, you, too, will benefit.

Mars is your ruling planet and will be also be aligned elegantly with the new moon, giving you lots of energy. Mars is still in your partnership sector (a holdover from last month, which started November 12). You have been working closely in a team situation at work or very focused on your marriage partner or steady love. If you are single, with Mars friendly to the new moon, it seems you will be traveling either with your romantic partner or, if need to travel for work, with your boss, client, or one-on-one collaborator, the way an art director and his writing partner would be. As an Aries, you prefer to be the boss and lead the way, but lately you have taken the practical approach and are acting more as a member of the team. There are benefits to working collaboratively, so if this describes your latest approach, you will do well and go can go far.

On the same day, December 11, Venus will receive a silvery beam from Neptune. Venus is currently in your eighth house of other people's money, so you may sell an artistic idea or creation that will bring you a handsome check (or at least, the promise of one). Or, you may ask for a raise, and get it. This house usually relates to a chunk of money that comes as a one-time payment, such as a payout from an insurance company, an advance on a book, or a year-end bonus. The presence of Neptune is related to artistic expressions, so you may have labored on a project that you created, and will now sell at substantial profit.

One day when you will NOT likely get along well with your "other half," whether that be in the romantic sense, as your spouse or steady sweetheart, or in the business sense, your business partner or collaborator, will be December 10 when Mars will oppose Uranus. If you do have a disagreement, it may come up suddenly, and you may not know what exactly you did to cause this reaction. Things will likely escalate quickly, so if anger does erupt, do your best to cool things off. Give the other person the respect of listening to his or her point of view. You don't have to agree with your partner, or accept what is being said, but there seems little to gain by arguing about this point. If you feel you must stand up for yourself, wait a few days before you return to the same topic. Alternatively, on this same day you may be rushing around, so take care that you watch where you are going. If you are an enthusiast of extreme sports, you might want to delay your participation until after you get through December 10. Choose another day.

You may want to avoid travel on December 10 and 20. On December 20, Mercury, the planet in control of travel, will orbit at cross-purposes with Uranus, planet of unexpected developments. If you have to drive, check in your car for a tune-up to make sure all will go well on the road. Keep supplies in the trunk in case you get sidelined. Don't drive if the weather is bad, which it may be.

Now we come to two of the best days of the month, due December 24 and December 25. On December 24, Venus in Scorpio will be beautifully aligned with Jupiter. This kind of aspect, in addition to love and happiness, seems to indicate that you would get a generous gift or check, because Venus will still be in one of your financial houses. Jupiter is in your workaday house, so it seems to come from work, perhaps as a bonus or check or a check for overtime. I realize few people work on this day, so it may come to you the day prior to December 25. Venus in sync with Jupiter is a soft, romantic aspect that everyone will enjoy. Make this evening special.

A friend asked me to tell her which days in December were best to wed, and that was simple - Christmas Eve, December 24, with Venus so beautifully oriented to Jupiter. My friend is checking to see if the courthouse is open, and if it is, the knot will be tied. She was due to marry in January, but with Mercury retrograde all through next month, I suggested that in the eyes of God and the government, take your vows on December 24 and tell no one except the two witnesses you bring along, usually good friends who must be sworn to secrecy. She and her husband will never celebrate this date, but rather the January date of her festivities. No one will be the wiser.

Christmas Day, December 25, you will have the full moon in Cancer at 3 degrees, emphasizing home and family. This full moon will again have a shower of beautiful vibrations from Neptune, so you are likely to feel very inspired by the day's events. I realize many people do not celebrate Christmas in the world, so if you don't, you will still have an opportunity to enjoy the warmth of family life at this time. On the same day, Mercury and Jupiter will be aligned, suggesting travel will be smooth, and messages you get by text, email, or post office will be exciting and fun. It's rare to see such lovely days for holiday time. Mercury will not be retrograde either, suggesting you can buy gifts that won't likely be returned. You will please your recipients! Mercury will retrograde through January, so make this month count!

If you have been decorating your house, or have ordered furniture, for example, it is likely to be delivered within three or four days of the full moon. Neptune rules the visual part of life. If you do celebrate Christmas, you might be putting up your tree at the last minute. Also at this time, whether you celebrate the holiday or not, you might want to give a party or dinner for your family, but also invite friends to make your celebration more fun.

New Year's Eve will be a fun night, for the transiting moon, in Virgo, will conjunct Jupiter, the good fortune planet. You may be in the mood to spend some money on this night so go ahead, and enjoy ringing in 2016.

Summary

As the year winds down to a close, you will be eager to enjoy all the festivities of the season. If you celebrate Christmas, this year, the full moon will occur on December 25, putting an extra emphasis on family, warmth, homemade food, and fun. If you have never quite felt in sync with your family, the full moon may make this year's holiday more emotional than most. In your case, stick with relatives you see eye to eye with, and keep the spotlight on others, not you. The few Aries who might have problems with the full moon on Christmas Day will be those with birthdays that fall on or within three days of March 29.

If you don't celebrate Christmas, you will likely have the day off, so you may want to consider doing some stylish entertaining at your home and invite in friends and family, as thanks for their year-long support. Include an individual or two you appreciate at work - with Mercury and Jupiter in conversation, you seem to have a co-worker who has had your back wholeheartedly. This full moon will be in ideal angle to Neptune, so the setting you create for your party will be quite enchanting.

Travel will be on the agenda, for the new moon, December 11, will light your long-distance travel house in the two weeks that follow it. Mars, your ruler, will oppose Uranus the day before, December 10. If you plan to drive, bring your car in for a tune-up before heading out. People will be edgy and quick to anger, so avoid anyone who appears to be on the verge of road rage. By all means, do not cut off any other cars lest you trigger a person with a personality that easily blows up.

Another weekend when travel is not advised, possibly because of difficult weather, will be December 19-20. If you can get to your destination earlier, you will avoid snags and long, frustrating delays.

Mars is currently moving through your house of close partner, so additionally, at times, your significant other may act out of sorts and be quick to disagree with you. This may be evidence of simple holiday tension, nothing more, so cut your partner slack. There is no need to enlarge a small conflict into anything more. December is a month with too much to do, with too little time to get it all done, so don't fuel an argument - do all you can to calm it down, especially near December 10 and 20.

On December 24, when graceful Venus receives a golden beam from generous Jupiter, you may receive a large check or valuable gift, and in the latter case, it may be an important piece of jewelry. Venus embellishes all she touches and when working with Jupiter, Venus truly delights. This year, December 24 should be a golden day, and as mentioned earlier, December 25 should be heartwarming.

New Year's Eve will bring the moon conjunct Jupiter in Virgo, a shimmering vibration that suggests that you will have an evening where you will revel in the camaraderie of friends. Instead of a dress-up celebration to ring in the New Year, you may do something completely different. Aries is a daring, competitive sign that loves the outdoors, so you might opt for a camping experience in the fresh evening air, under a huge velvet canopy of deep blue sky sprinkled with hundreds of twinkling stars. No matter how you decide to ring in the New Year, find a way to weave a memory that you and those you hold close will always remember.
