For many weeks, you’ve had money on you mind – how you earned, spent, shared, invested, and saved has been on your mind, and you seem to be determined to get your financial life in order.
The full moon of late last month, May 29 in Sagittarius, was likely a good moment for you. If you applied for a bank loan, mortgage, scholarship, university financial aid, put in an insurance claim, or petitioned venture capital, you likely got the answer – and it was likely an affirmative yes that you heard within days of that full moon, May 29. Mars was in lovely angle to the new moon and Sun, the reason I feel you did well late last month.
At the same time, in late May you were likely paying bills, and clearing the decks. This year your growth in income seems contingent on a partner – that person may be a headhunter, job broker, lawyer, or a financial advisor with fiduciary responsibility to you, as some examples.
If you represent talent or conversely, if you ARE the talent and have an agent to speak for you, that person is fortunate for you. This intermediary person will likely boost your financial picture at some point from now through early November 15. This person could alternatively be a publicist, writing partner, art director, or someone else who is as committed as you as you are to your own success. When it comes to financial growth this year think in terms of we, instead of terms of me. You will achieve more in a collaborative situation than you will alone.
Mars entered your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement on May 16 and will remain there until November 15. This is extraordinary because the usual amount of time that Mars spends in any one sign and part of the horoscope is six or seven weeks, not six months, so lucky you, you will have Mars giving you a very high profile in your industry for nearly the rest of 2018. You may be saying, wait, why is this happening and what is the catch?
There is a little catch. Mars is about to go retrograde from June 26 to August 27. (In fact, during that time, Mars will slide backward into Capricorn from August 12 to September 10, but by then, Mars will have turned direct on August 27. As a sum up, Mars will be in Aquarius, lighting your house of fame from now until August 12 and from September 10 to November 15, a very long time.
Mars acts like a booster rocket for your biggest goals, helping to lift the main, heavy rocket – your dream aim – into the stratosphere. After Mars does his job as booster rocket, he is no longer needed. He salutes the rocket and says good-bye. He falls away and goes on to help others.
The problem is, Mars will be in weak, sleepy position for weeks, so nothing of earthshattering importance will take place until Mars regulates his orbit to direct again. No planet bounces out of bed wide eyed and full of energy, so we all have to wait while Mars gradually comes out of his deep sleep and is fully functional again. He will back to his normal self on October 8.
Still, you will have a great time to work aggressively in your career from October 8 to November 16. Even before October 8, Mars will be steadily gaining strength and gaining a swifter, stronger orbit.
When it comes to financial growth this year, think in terms of we, instead of terms of me. You will achieve more in a collaborative situation than you will alone.
There is another problem with Mars, however, in that he is locked into a tough disagreement with Uranus, both at odds with each other at 90 -degree angles, and both vying for dominance. These two planets were in an exact mathematical square on May 16, and will be again on August 1, and September 18.
To clarify the reason this is happening, both Mars and Uranus are moving very slowly, with both spending a long time in early degrees of Taurus and Aquarius, and those are two fixed signs that don’t give an inch. This is why Uranus and Mars are not letting up on their bickering with each other, and why you may feel the same problem keeps repeating without a solution. These planets don’t have to be exact on the dates I listed to cause problems – they have a wide circle of influence. When the planets thump around in the heavens, we can hear their movements and it sounds like thunder. Mars will be in your prestigious career 10th house all this time, and Uranus will be newly minted in Taurus, in your first house.
Here is what could happen. At times you may find a client, boss, or VIP to be incredibly difficult and unpredictable. This is an impulsive aspect, so you may be tempted to say something you will regret, so it will be better not to do so. Your yearning to be free with few restrictions will be very strong. For sure, Mars square Uranus – which will go on for months, into late September – can cause obstacles and challenges. However, this aspect can set your mind free for expressing outstanding creativity. This is an aspect of enormous energy, so learn to master it, and you will be sitting on top of the world.
Let’s go back to the discussion of money, which seems to have captured so much of your thinking lately and will again come up for solutions.
You will get help with your finances on June 1 with a superb aspect, when Mercury, ruler of your second house of earned income, will signal Mars in your house of fame and honors. Mars won’t be retrograde yet (not even close – that happens June 26), so this is a superb day to showcase your talents with the aim of getting hired if you are interviewing, or, if working for a company, to get a raise in your paycheck.
Happily, the new moon of June 13 will light your second house of earned income in Gemini 23 degrees. New moons are extremely powerful, and have a long tail – lasting six months or more. What you do in the first ten days after the new moon appears will set the tone and allow you to show the universe your intent. This new moon in Gemini will allow you to ask for a raise or if self-employed, to bring in more business (and possibly raise your fees with new clients). Gemini is considered a double-bodied sign of the twins, so you may get two new clients or two jobs this week.
Gemini is a communication sign, and with the ruler of your second house of income, Mercury, in your third house of manuscripts, speeches, documentaries, grant, corporate and resume writing, negotiating a contract, editing, proofing, translating, speaking, when it comes to making more money, working on communication projects will help you make more. No matter what you do for a living, if you can sharpen your skills in this area, you will see an increase in income.
If you work in sales, PR, marketing, editing, customer support, social media, are a writer, or work in one of the other communication arts, you are in the perfect spot this month to make money. Yet the point is, you can work in ANY field, and if you do more formal communicating, you can bring in more money to your bank account.
If you decide to present your case for a raise, apply for a loan, negotiate for a better commission, or work on any other financial topic, be sure you have all facts correct and double-checked. Neptune will be in hard angle to the new moon, giving you wishful thinking or have you in a dream-like fog, giving you a view of reality that can be off. Saturn and Uranus are in friendly position, so if you are persuasive, you can surprise yourself by getting more salary that increases your security, too.
Travel could add a light, breezy note on June 19, and my favorite day for you to go. You might include this day as part of a longer vacation to a nearby spot. On that day, Mercury in Cancer will be receiving golden beams from good fortune Jupiter, and also both will link to Neptune in Pisces, all water signs and each contributing to a twinkling triangle of happiness.
This is day, June 19, falls on a Tuesday, so consider taking a four-day holiday, spanning Saturday, June 16 through Tuesday, June 19. With planets in water sign, choose to go to the seashore with powdery white sands, or to a cottage in a thick wooded forest with a nearby rushing bubbling brook.
The full moon in Capricorn will end the month on June 27. This full moon will be conjunct Saturn, and fall in your ninth house. You may travel, but if so, you will have a goal to complete, suggesting your travel may be work-related. Come prepared – this might become a strenuous trip.
If you are in college or graduate school, you may be taking a major exam at month’s end – if so, you will have to be prepared, for the test will be quite detailed. If you are defending a thesis, you will be asked penetrating questions, so have your sources of information lined up and thoroughly vetted.
This same full moon of June 27 might have you alternatively finishing a manuscript, and if so, your editor will be demanding and may ask you to make corrections. If in a legal case, keep expectations logical and reasonable, for you are unlikely to have an over-the-top verdict in your favor. You can get a good ending here, but not a great one. However, wait – there is such good news, too!
Uranus in Taurus will reach out to the Sun and full moon in the most supportive way, bringing you a big, happy surprise that will come out of the blue. ALSO, Jupiter in Scorpio will signal this full moon, bringing superb help to you from an intermediary – a friend, your spouse, a headhunter, agent, lawyer, publicist, lab partner – you get the idea. If you regularly represent others, then one of the persons will be lucky for you financially and in terms of your reputation. When Jupiter is involved, good financial news usually follows.
Romantically, you do best when Venus is in a water sign, because you are an earth sign – these elements create flowers. Venus will be in Cancer from June 1 to June 14.
I love June 2 when Venus in Cancer will be in divine conversation with Neptune, a very glamorous vibration. This evening would also be a perfect night to go out shopping after work, to choose flattering new clothes, or to book a soothing massage at the day spa. I also love the weekend of June 9 and 10 when the moon will move through Taurus.

SUMMARY
Uranus, the planet of lightning bolt change is now in Taurus for the first time since 1934 to 1942. This almost guarantees that you will see major shifts to your everyday life. You may change careers, or move house – possibly to a foreign country that requires a passport for entry (and yes, Canada and Mexico count as “foreign” too.) You won’t let anyone hem you in or have your movements limited by others – Uranus will make you want to bolt to ensure your freedom. This is a new side to you, and it will surprise others who know you well.
This will be a critical month to advance your career, a trend that started during the second half of May. Having courageous Mars in your tenth house of fame will be a big advantage, and that only happens every two years, typically for a six or seven-week period. This means you will have a longer length of time to accomplish your goals this year, but you will need to work carefully.
You appear to be determined and assertive, but in your haste to get ahead, do your best to avoid being viewed more as a bull in a china shop than a professional star on the rise. While you may hanker for a breakthrough, the universe works on its own timetable, not necessarily on yours. Your chart shows an obstacle or two may come up, but if you go slowly, you can handle them more deftly than if you rush.
To complicate things further, Mars is about to go into a weak retrograde orbit from June 26 to August 27, not a good time to forge ahead on new launching new goods and services. Prestigious career opportunities that glitter, will likely, on closer examination, not be so bright. A Mars retrograde period is always marked with backtracking and a need to make corrections. The more you rush forward during Mars retrograde, a greater the mountain of redo’s and retracing you will face later. Instead, from June 26 to August 27, take it upon yourself to improve work you’ve already done to avoid having your client or boss bring the error to your attention.
Mars is not only the planet of assertion and courage but also the planet of sexuality, so Mars retrograde is not a time to start a relationship, for the chemistry between you is likely to be off. It may be that you may click instantly but over time, the physical affection in the relationship may prove to be lacking.
In astrology, the start of a relationship sets the tone of the entire term of that relationship. This all means you must focus on your goals in love and career during the first weeks of June and accomplish as much as you can during that time. If you are married or in a long-term established relationship, you may want to work on your relationship to clean up misunderstandings between you before Mars turns retrograde June 26.
Money management will also take up a big part of June. This focus on money stared at the end of May, at the full moon May 29, when you focused on paying as much as possible on credit card, tax, and student loan debt. If you applied for a bundle of cash, such as for a mortgage, loan, or student financial aid, you may have received news within five days of May 29.
You will have a chance to make money from a new source (or two new sources) at the new moon in Gemini, June 13, and in the days that follow. I say two sources because Gemini is the sign of twins, and opportunities tend to come in doubles. You may encounter pushback when you ask for a raise if you are unrealistic due to Neptune’s propensity now to have you making wishful thinking. Stay real and persevere because the days that quickly follow this new moon will be your best window for securing a raise this year. You will need to make your case for a raise (or higher salary elsewhere) in a practical terms, centering on your past contributions rather than your needs.
Mercury and Uranus will be beautifully aligned at the time of the new moon June 13, so you will have the ability to make a moving, compelling presentation for yourself so you can be remarkably persuasive. Saturn will be in good angle to this new moon too, so you can now build financial security, as long as you handle things in a cool, logical, and unemotional way.
As said, Neptune will be manufacturing fog, so be sure you understand the terms of a new position or assignment and if possible, get all in writing. If you can’t get it described in an email, confirm what you understand will be required from you through your own email to your perspective employer, to be sure you’ve heard correctly all that was given to you. If you represent talent or are a talent that has an agent, manager, or publicist currently representing you, you’ll find the relationship to be highly productive and profitable.
The full moon in Capricorn June 27 may send you traveling to a foreign country. The trip seems not to be carefree but rather you seem to have a tricky goal to complete when there. This trip may be arduous in some way, and you may have concerns about your apartment or about a family member while you are gone. You will have help from other planets to give you fortunate breaks when you need them – namely from Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto – so you can make your trip successful.
If you are in college, this full moon June 27 may bring an important test to gain your credentials, or a chance to defend your thesis. This test won’t be easy, so study hard, maybe with a tutor. Media projects will be intense and require attention to detail. Full moons bring conclusions, so you will be wrapping up things by month’s end.
Fan the fires of love by taking a short trip to a pretty locale near water with your partner. If you have no partner, go alone, or with friends. No matter what your status, note that June 1, 2, 9, 10, and 19 will be your very best days for love.
