Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

You’ll be very busy in December, so you’ll have to manage your time carefully. Lots of good news will be flowing to you, and you won’t want to miss any details. Last month, Jupiter moved to your third house of communication, and you might have been daydreaming how best to use this lovely and exceedingly rare presence. This is the most benefic planet in our solar system, and he will bring with him many advantages you can take advantage of now.

Will you start your novel or film your documentary? How about starting a blog or redesigning your website with new graphics? Do you like to write music, or would you rather design an app? How about hosting your own TV show? Whatever your dream, the new moon of December 6 in Sagittarius, 15 degrees, will be the time to set it in motion.

All new moons open a portal of energy that lasts ten days, but to be able to use this energy, it will be imperative to take a step toward your dream during the days closely following the new moon. If you can only take a baby step, that is fine, for what matters is that you start. It will be a potent time to plant seeds, for later you can watch them grow tall.

The third house, where your new moon and Jupiter will be, is mainly a contractual house. You may find you are negotiating a number of deals now that you had tried to get off the ground earlier this year.

Many planets had been retrograde, including Mercury, the planet of communication, negotiation, and contracts, so if you felt you just couldn’t close a deal, Mercury was the problem. (Mercury was retrograde from July 25 to August 18, and then again beginning November 16, but will go direct on December 6.)

Although the delays may have been frustrating, they benefitted you—those delays deliberately slowed you down, giving you more time to think through your venture. It is never wise to sign papers when Mercury is retrograde. After December 6, delays will fade, and you will suddenly see doors fly open and barriers fall away. There is usually a blast of energy that we all feel, no matter what our sign happens to be, as soon as Mercury turns direct. While no planet instantly resumes its former strength, Mercury will steadily work on regaining strength day by day. I feel you can start taking action soon after the retrograde is over.

My favorite day for you to sign a contract is December 21. You can sign any sort of paperwork for any purpose on this day, and if you do sign at this time, you are likely to see profits flourish. On this day, Mercury will conjoin benefic Jupiter in a rare aspect. (To see anything like this again, you’ll have to wait until January 2, 2020, but the conjunction won’t be in Sagittarius, like it will be this month, but rather, in Capricorn.) I am particularly enthusiastic, because Mercury and Jupiter will meet in your third house of communication, which rules contracts—that’s double luck.

At the end of December, you will have Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, the Sun, and by the start of next month, the new moon solar eclipse of January 5, all in Capricorn, your fourth house of home. This means a change to your living situation is due soon.

The third house also rules your siblings, so you may be planning to do something special together, like travel, buy or rent a vacation home, start a shop, plan a family reunion, or create a big surprise for your parents’ anniversary. You get the idea—this would be a good time to explore what you can do with your sister, brother, or cousin—a person you trust and who knows you in a way few others do.

It is also possible that, conversely, you will hear outstanding news about your sister or brother at any point this month, but especially in the ten days that follow December 6 or near December 21.

If you want to break free this month and travel, that will be possible. In fact, you should go in December, for in January there’s plenty of evidence your presence will be needed at home base. (More about the reason later in this report.)

When it comes to travel, you may take off spontaneously with your romantic partner on a short trip on December 20. Surprise-a-minute Uranus will receive a glittering beam from the Sun and make it a day chock-full of unexpected events, all of them quite special. This aspect is best for attached Libras, for your marriage partner is figuring prominently in the aspect.

This month, the full moon of December 22 will fall in Cancer, one degree, and light your house of career. This is the area of your chart that rules your reputation and professional standing in the community or the world at large. Something is cresting now, and it seems to bring a finish to one part of your career and the start of something else. Uranus will be beautifully oriented toward the Sun and full moon, so you are likely to hear exciting news that makes you very happy.

If you are awarded a new position at this time, it seems to be due to the wise efforts of a friend who spoke up for you, or thanks to the work of a headhunter, job broker, lawyer, agent, manager, or other middleman who had the right contacts to make this promotion possible. The point is, your chart shows enormous, unexpected help from a friend or businessperson who will be acting on your behalf.

Saturn will be moving closer to a direct opposition to the full moon, to peak on January 1, but will already be influential by the time of the December 22 full moon, affecting the entire holiday season, through New Year’s Eve. If you do take a new position at the time of the full moon, Saturn will be nine degrees away, close enough to add quite a bit of responsibility to any new position you may accept. A career matter is culminating or ending, and soon something new will begin to take its place.

Now we come to the part about your home, which has been an increasingly powerful obsession for you. At the end of December, you will have Saturn, Pluto, Mercury, the Sun, and by the start of next month, the new moon solar eclipse of January 5, all in Capricorn, your fourth house of home. This means a change to your living situation is due soon. Although you’ve been thinking about how you want to live and where that would be, the eclipse will ask you to come to a conclusion.

You will need to be practical and clear-eyed when you state your answer, for planets in Capricorn would have it no other way—there will be no room for wishful thinking, and there appears to be urgency to the situation. You and I will study this situation in more depth next month, but you will start to feel the gathering of these planets on the horizon by the end of December.

For New Year’s Eve, you seem to prefer a simple celebration. Saturn will be conjunct the Sun and oppose the full moon, a rather somber influence, not quite in tune with a luxurious celebration. It appears you will soon be spending a lot of money on your residence or other property you own or rent, or instead, you may be helping a family member financially (most likely a parent).

Considering all that’s on your mind, you won’t be in a mood to spend lavishly for a night out. That’s okay, as the weather is likely to bring an arctic blast of frigid air to many parts of the world on New Year’s Eve, because Saturn (the icy planet) will be conjunct the Sun, with the aspect set to peak on January 1. Flights will be delayed, and traffic will be snarled. Staying inside, where it’s cozy warm, surrounded with the people you love, will warm your heart and bring you the most joy.

SUMMARY

You seem to be here, there, and everywhere, working your way through the hustle-bustle of the holiday season. You begin December with planets filling your third house of communication. Your email, voice mail, and texts will overflow with both professional and personal messages. You will need to stay on top of every detail, lest something fall between the cracks that you needed but lost. The new moon of December 6 will set off this flurry of activity, but it will mostly be cheery, good news.

This same new moon will also set off quick, short travel. You might be feeling restless and eager to be in a new setting, to boost your vitality, if only for one night away. The position of the new moon on December 6 will make a trip possible sometime in the ten days to come, but first, you may have to stay late at the office to complete assignments, even if all you hoped to do is to take a quick weekend trip. Your boss will say that all hands are needed on deck, and she’s not kidding. Do all you can to attend to matters early in the month, because you are doing well to impress VIPs. In your personal life, your friends are sending invitations and begging you to attend. There will be a lot going on.

Be sure to call your sister, brother, or cousin, for with the new moon and Sun conjunct Jupiter (the good-fortune planet), it seems your sibling is to announce joyous news, and you will want to celebrate together. Or, it may be that you and your sister and brother are collaborating on a major shared goal, such as opening a business or planning a trip for later in the New Year together.

One of the biggest days for happy news this month, on any front, will be December 21, when Mercury will be conjunct Jupiter, a truly five-star day.

Traveling home? Your journey should be smooth, especially if you go on December 21, when Mercury and Jupiter conjoin in Sagittarius. Your trip may not be far, but it certainly will have a touch of luxury and will be fun. If you need to buy or lease a car, this would be your day to do so. News should be exciting and very positive. If you have to sign papers, do so on this day, for value and profits will likely result.

Your career is poised to reach a pinnacle at the full moon in Cancer on December 22. Indeed, what you hear at this full moon may be one of the best gifts you are given this holiday season. Uranus, the planet of surprise, will zing that full moon and the Sun, and bring sudden news out of the blue, and because Uranus is at a supportive angle, you should like the news. The Sun rules your friendship sector, so a friend may have spoken to a VIP on your behalf, and that’s the reason for your wonderful professional news. Or, it may be that a partner, such as a headhunter, business partner, agent, lawyer, or another middleman, speaks up for you. Somehow, if you follow the breadcrumbs, you will likely find that a friend or business associate is central to your professional good news.

You are gregarious, and you are always up for a night with friends, but this New Year’s Eve will have a serious tone, and there will be better nights in subsequent months of 2019 for you to go out on the town. Instead, create a private evening with your partner, unique to the two of you, and enjoy the peaceful, cozy night you have created together. Write down your dearest hopes and dreams, each on a different slip of paper, and put them in a small crystal bowl. Have your partner reach in and pick one slip of paper, read it, and both promise to start working toward grasping that wish, as you toast the New Year.
