You have a stunning chart for making more money this month than you’ve seen in a long time, and the gains are likely to come as an increase in salary, not money won or given to you in other ways. Last month, in November, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, left Scorpio. This benefic planet now is in Sagittarius, filling your second house of earned income. This means that you are in a cycle of reward—the largest in 12 years. In order to unlock the goodness of Jupiter, you need a new moon in Sagittarius, and you get such a moon only one time each year.

Guess what! You have precisely the right new moon, in Sagittarius, 15 degrees, due on December 6 to open the treasure chest Jupiter has readied for you. At the time of the new moon, Jupiter will be almost conjunct the Sun and new moon. The distance between the Sun/new moon and Jupiter is nine degrees, a distance I consider within the tolerance of significance. (Two heavenly bodies have to be within ten degrees to be considered an aspect. Some astrologers only allow eight degrees but I allow ten, especially with a powerful planet like Jupiter close to a new moon.)

What does this all mean? This month, you may be negotiating a new salary or be given a promotion or more prestigious title that comes with higher pay. If you are interviewing for a job, you have an excellent chance of getting it. If you are self-employed, you will have a superb chance to bring in a prestigious new client who will want to stay with you because you are a good team, and you produce sales results.

With more money coming in, you may need to understand how to invest it. This would be a good time to ask friends or family for the name of a trustworthy, successful financial advisor who can help you make your savings grow. With the Sun close to Jupiter, you are doing well at your job, for the Sun rules Scorpio’s tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. Clearly your growing reputation for excellence is leading the way for your impending rise in income.

I should point out that to grasp the goodness of this new moon, you must strategically find a way to present your case for more money. Jupiter will be in your second house of personal wealth all year, until December 2, 2019, which is 12 month from now.

There is a glitch with this particular new moon, however, and it involves Mars, one of your rulers, orbiting in conjunction with Neptune. Neptune can make the deal confusing or have it come with hidden conditions in the fine print, so you would be wise to ask questions. You might even want to show the deal to a lawyer or agent to clarify the offer. Neptune and Mars are both in your creative house, so you would have to watch for overages in any artistic project you might be involved in where you have the responsibility for the budget.

Mercury will go direct on the same day as the new moon, December 6, so you will have no more delays after Mercury regulates his orb. Starting as far back as June 25, Mars started to retrograde, until August 27, and in the middle of that period, from July 25 to August 19, Mercury also went retrograde. A retrograde planet is weak, and he withholds his powers. By September we had a break, but not for long. Keep in mind that we feel the onset of a retrograde from at least two weeks before the planet shuts. From October 5 to November 16 Venus was retrograde, and on the very day that Venus went direct, November 16, Mercury went retrograde again, but he will finally go direct on December 6.

As you see, we are at the very end of a long series of retrogrades, and each of them asked you to look back and either polish something to a higher degree or fix something from the past. It was not a time to move forward assertively, but in December you can. Additionally, in July and August we had three eclipses, and they also required adjustments to changing conditions.

The retrograde actions of Mercury, Venus, and Mars are particularly hard to take, for whenever they are retrograde, we feel their orbits directly in our daily lives (more than we do the retrogrades of outer planets, because Mercury, Mars, and Venus orbit closest to earth.)

Happily, Venus and Mars will not retrograde at all in 2019, and although Mercury will retrograde, as it always does every 12 weeks, at least we will be free of the other two planets being out of commission, and that will add up to greater productivity for you in 2019.

This month, on December 16, Mars and Pluto will be in perfect sync, and those are your two ruling planets. This bodes very well for a deal that you are working on and may be about to complete. It seems to concern a creative project, or one that is purely financial in nature. December 16 is a Sunday, but you will feel the positive, powerful effects of these two planets on Monday, December 17, too. These should be positive days for you.

Another outstanding date for financial success will be December 20, when the Sun and Uranus will be in divine harmony. More good news about money and business could come up. This will come thanks to the link between Uranus in your workaday sector and the transiting Sun in your income sector. Uranus always strikes suddenly and in an unexpected way, bringing things out of left field. Again, this would be money you earn, not money won, but it will take you by surprise. It might be that a sudden assignment is given to you that will pay nicely. If you are searching for a new place to live, December 20 could bring news of an ideal space.

Happy financial news will keep coming to you all month, including the next day, December 21, one of your best moments of the month, when Mercury and Jupiter combine forces in your second house of income. This would be a marvelous day to sign a contract for a financial deal, for this day would give you the best chances of success of any day this month and possibly all of 2018. Use this day to sell something on the Internet, such as on EBay. Mercury’s very nature is commerce.

You can also use December 21 for an interview, presentation, appearance, or for heavenly travel. I will go so far and say it is even fine if you were to buy a scratch-off lotto or charity raffle ticket, as you might win a small prize.

Romantically, the month of December should be special, for Mars, your ruler, will move through Pisces, a water sign like yours, and fill your fifth house of truelove. Time with children will be fun, and if you hope for a pregnancy, Mars will help with that wish, too. With Mars in your fifth house, pregnancy and time with children will glow. Venus, which was retrograde from October 5 to November 16, will remain in Scorpio and is now moving at a swift speed. This all bodes well for you to have a beautiful and joyous holiday month.

The full moon in Cancer, one degree, on December 22 might have you traveling to a distant point for the holidays within four days of this date. If you do plan to pack and go, choose December 21. Saturn will be uncomfortably close to this full moon, so you may not need to travel to a distant point to complete a career-related goal.

Generally, a full moon in Cancer is good news. I just wish Saturn wouldn’t cozy up to the Sun and be poised to oppose the moon. The degrees are not close—they’re nine degrees apart, but to me that’s too close for comfort. This full moon has a lovely side to it however, for Uranus will be beautifully aligned with it, bringing surprises and happy coincidences.

Despite the difficulty of achieving success, you will have a tall order that your boss or client expects of you on or near the full moon, December 22. Succeeding won’t be easy, but that’s why you are the person for the job—Scorpio never complains, you just focus on the goal. When you do land your goal, you will be just as surprised as the people around you.

By New Year’s Eve, Saturn will have moved to within one degree of the Sun, a combination of fire (the Sun) and ice (Saturn). This could represent last minute work you will need to do for your career. Everyone you know will be off and relaxing on a sunny beach resort somewhere, but you’ll be on the phone or writing emails on the computer. This is why you win awards and keep climbing the mountain of success.

New Year’s Eve won’t be glamorous this year, because Saturn will be in tight conjunction to the Sun, to reach a peak conjunction on January 1. This is an aspect that wants you to work hard, not play. Saturn could make the weather difficult and extremely cold, or bring other distractions from other parts of life. It’s not worth spending a lot of money on a night like this.

Celebrate instead earlier, on December 24, when Venus will be in Scorpio. Neptune in Pisces and the transiting moon in Cancer will create a lyrical, poetic evening enticing you to stay in and enjoy private time away from the crowds, where you will find heaven in each other’s arms. No special someone? Have an evening with just a few close friends.

Only weeks ago, Jupiter moved into Sagittarius for the first time in 12 years. This means you are being promised an outstandingly abundant financial year ahead, until December 2, 2019, making the coming year one of the most lucrative that you’ve seen in over a decade. You may have received a preview of just how special 2019 will be for you last month near November 25-26 when Jupiter conjoined the Sun. Now, even more special financial luck is coming your way. Last month, you may have been skeptical that your finances could improve dramatically, but you won’t be skeptical by the time December is out.

Now you have your best new moon of the year, December 6, when the lovely new moon in her white satin gown arrives arm-in arm with the mighty Sun to her right, and benefic Jupiter to her left. The effects will be extraordinary and sure to bring excellent news on a new project that you probably will first hear about in the days that follow December 6.

If you are involved with a creative project this month, you may incur budgetary overages that the client will need to cover. If the client won’t approve the overages, you might opt to do so yourself, if only to keep the integrity of the project intact. After all, your name will be associated with it. It is a tough decision, but sometimes this type situation does come up.

Your imagination will be running in high gear, for Mars and Neptune, orbiting together in your fifth house of creativity, will have you bursting with ideas; so the project you are working on now could turn out to be one of your best efforts and worthy of an award. If you can enter this project in an award show later, you might win, making your financial contribution to the high level of creativity of the job worthwhile.

If you need to sign important papers this month, choose December 21, when Mercury, the planet of agreements, will link to Jupiter, the planet of profit and happiness. This is the best planetary aspect you could ever hope to get from a loving universe when you are about to sign papers. This day will also be ideal for travel.

Other top activities for December 21 include giving a speech, handing in an important manuscript or report, sending an important email or dispatching a letter by courier or express mail, translating a manuscript, or conducting diplomatic talks so that you can to get the spirit of your talks precisely right. Ask for a raise, or buy or sell something of value. This is a five-star day—it doesn’t get any better than December 21 for financial success. When you are hot, you’re hot, dear Scorpio.

Distant travel appears to be in the cards for the full moon in Cancer of December 22, plus or minus four days This looks like a last minute business trip, taken ever so close to the holiday—it must be important, and it seems you would have a strenuous goal to complete. This year, everything should go smoothly, however: this full moon is falling close to December 21, when Mercury conjoins Jupiter, a stellar aspect filled with sunshine and good cheer. Additionally, Mercury was retrograde last month, starting November 16 but will move direct this month on December 6. You won’t have the delays you had last year at holiday time. If you need to travel on December 21, make it a short enough trip so that you can be home for the holidays.

New Year’s Eve has some difficult aspects with Saturn conjunct the Sun. This is a hard work aspect, so it will be tricky to relax. You will have the money to spend on a lavish night out, but I am not sure you would want to. You have other goals that you would likely to put that money toward, and besides, Saturn conjunct the Sun on New Year’s Eve is likely to bring very cold, snowy, or rainy weather.

You might hear from the office on December 20, when Uranus in your work project sector sends a beam to the Sun in your travel and agreement sector. A job could come up that you’ll have to take care of, but again, this will translate into more money for you.

I will admit that you have some of the most perfect conditions to enjoy a fabulously romantic night, too. Venus will be strong and moving in a healthy way in Scorpio, sexy Mars will still be in Pisces, and the transiting moon will be in Scorpio. All these sexy planets will be in emotional water signs like yours. You don’t have to spend a lot to have a lot of fun, for it’s your relationship that will count. No special someone? Make arrangements with your friends. This year, create a special, unique way to ring in the New Year.
