A Note from Susan Miller
March 2018
Welcome to March, one of my favorite months of 2018. This month has spectacular aspects in the first three weeks…

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
In March, you will spend quite a bit of time thinking about your finances, including how you earn, spend, save, and invest. The full moon of March 1 will appear in Virgo, 11 degrees, and will fill your eighth house of other people’s money. This house that will be so lit up and bring a conclusion and closure rules bonus, commissions, severance, insurance, prize money, inheritance, scholarship, and money you borrow from a bank, including mortgage, student loans, and credit cards. Among these topics one will come to closure for you between March 1 and March 4.
You may be assuming that you’d have to write a check at some point in the first week. That might be true, but it looks as though you are about to see more money, too. This is a gorgeous full moon, chock-full of happy news.
It appears that all talks you are having this month will need to remain confidential. You may be negotiating a benefits package for a new position, or negotiating a so-called golden parachute bonus at the end of a job well done. You may be given an inheritance or hear back about an application for a student loan or a mortgage. You may be ready to give your 2017 receipts to your accountant to file your return by March 4. Certainly money will be on your mind.
Here is the surprise – this full moon is wildly beneficial to you, for it forms a trine aspect to the Sun and full moon, and a trine is an aspect of supreme harmony. The Sun is currently based in your earned income house, and the full moon is in your house of other people’s money, which includes taxes. If your accountant is done with your taxes, you may be surprised to learn the generous size of your refund (assuming you expect one). Both of your financial houses are under beautiful vibrations.
You may be offered a full-time or part-time job, or you may be ready to sign a partner or expert collaborator who will work with you on a one-to-one basis. This person could be a manager, agent, stylist, writing partner, job broker or headhunter, creative director, or other one-to-one partner. This month, partnerships are golden for you.
The eighth house is also the house of surgery, so if you need an operation, or if someone close to you needs to be in the hospital, you will feel this influence and may decide to go in and get things done. You are fortunate that your eighth house is so favored this month. I can’t say for sure, because I do not have your individual chart, but it looks like things will go well for you from where I sit. (One note: if you tend to bleed profusely, this would not be the time to do your surgery, as bleeding heightens at a full moon, even during a sweet full moon like this one.)
There are more reasons to be excited by events in the first week of the month. On March 1, and close enough to the weekend of March 3-4, Venus will receive magnificent beams from Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. Venus is in your solar second house of earned income, and Jupiter is currently perched at the very top of your chart, filling your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. You may get an offer for a top-level job that pays exceedingly well at this time.
You can’t make a deal without beautifully positioned Mercury – this planet rules the contract that you would either sign or not need to sign, but rather give your verbal acceptance. (In astrology a verbal yes is the same as signing your name where you agree to the terms of the job. Actually in many courts of law, verbal agreements are upheld for a certain length of time, too.) On March 2, Mercury will also receive the same golden beams from Jupiter in a magnificently harmonious trine position. If you are given a contract, and your lawyer says it is ready to sign, do!
Mercury will retrograde later in the month from March 22 to April 15, so you will want to stay as far away from Mercury retrograde as possible when choosing the day to sign. Mercury acts like a wild child when you get close to the start and end dates of the retrograde, so if your lawyer says the contract is ready, by all means sign early in March. To catch the best days, sign on March 1 or 2, or if this is a marriage contract, sign over the weekend of March 3 or 4. If you can’t sign that soon, keep reading – I have two dates for you, March 11 and 13.
March 11 will be a strong and powerful when Pluto will align with the Sun. Pluto is currently in your behind the scenes sector, so you will have to keep any secret talks confidential – don’t tell a soul. If things work out, you can shout your happy news from the rooftops, but not yet. (As you will see as you go through your report, you certainly have plenty of cosmic support to help you convince VIPs that you are the one for the job.)
Jupiter, in your solar tenth house of fame and honors, will signal this new moon on March 17, setting up a strong link between your future salary and a new highly prestigious position that seems to be in the offing.
Another dazzling day will be March 13, when the Sun and benefic Jupiter will be aligned. This might be one of your favorite days of the month and possibly of the entire season, because the Sun will light your second house of earned income and link to Jupiter in your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. This would be a remarkable day to interview for a prestigious position or to make an important presentation. If you work in sales, on March 13, you may pull in a huge order.
The new moon of March 17 in Pisces 27 degrees will make you feel that you found a four-leaf clover in your front yard or while you walked to work through the park. This new moon will bring you an opportunity to make quite a bit more money. All new moons open a future path, and this one does its job exceedingly well. The house this new moon will light will be your solar second house of salary, including other compensation and earned income. If you have been interviewing for a new job or angling for a promotion, this new moon will be a gift from the universe, for you are likely to get it. Stay confident and optimistic – the VIPs at the top are impressed with you. The meetings you have in the days and weeks that follow this new moon should work to your benefit, so go out there and start negotiating.
This new moon is in Pisces, and Pisces is a highly creative sign, so you may be talking to a company that works in the movie or television business, represents makeup artists or costume designers, represents actors, works with the arts or photography, or is in the music industry. You can add more creative fields than the ones I listed – the point is, creativity will be all around you, so I’m not sure if you will be expected to put your stamp of individuality on the projects, or if you will oversee and direct and support the creative staff. I would like you to investigate creative fields.
You will only get one new moon a year falling in your second house of earned income, and you are fortunate that this new moon on March 17 is such a peach. Jupiter, in your tenth house of fame, will signal this new moon, setting up a very strong link between your future salary and a highly prestigious position. With Jupiter in the tenth house, so much of what you did over the course of ten years or more is now coming to a point where you can finally get the title, responsibility, and generous compensation you deserve. If you recently lost your job, you will soon see that they did you a favor – big mistake for them, great good fortune for you.
The position of Mars often reveals where some of your attention will be drawn, and with Mars in Sagittarius until March 17, a place Mars has been occupying since January 26, friends will play a larger than usual role. These days it would be a good idea to socialize for your work, for you would pick up tips and ideas from the people you know – friends – and the new friends you make. Casual contacts and acquaintances will be helpful, too. Sagittarius blends beautifully with your sign of Aquarius. Stay in touch with people you know, and consider joining a club or charity effort to expand your circle.
Once Mars moves into Capricorn from March 17 to May 15, you may begin to hibernate a little and become more strategic. You won’t be socializing as much, and you will enjoy working alone quietly and out of the spotlight.
This month has two full moons, and the second one is due March 31 in Libra at 11 degrees. It will be somewhat tricky. It will light your ninth house so let’s look at it in detail.
There are problems with this full moon. Saturn and Mars will be traveling closely together in Capricorn (within one degree) in your twelfth house of activities that take place behind closed doors. These two planets will be in 90-degree angle to the Sun in your third house of quick short travel and contracts, and also to the full moon. Saturn and Mars will be doing all this at exactly the same time – throwing two simultaneous squares at us all – because these Saturn and Mars will be in the center of the aspect, equidistant from both the full moon and Sun. No one will have an easy time with the March 31 full moon.
The full moon will be in your ninth house covering distant travel, legal matters, the media, and matters related to academia. One or two of these areas are due to be bringing obstacles, so you will need to be ready.
As said, everyone will have problems coping with this full moon, but you may take it a little easier than most because Libra, the sign of the full moon, is a sign that blends extremely well with yours. This suggests you will find an answer. If your birthday falls on January 31 plus or minus five days, or if you have Aquarius rising or the natal moon in Aquarius at 11 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, you will be given a double dip of luck.
Looking at this picture at month’s end, travel nevertheless will likely be difficult, but yet, your client or management may expect you to take a distant trip anyway, either overseas, or to a distant city within your own country, such as the distance between New York and Los Angeles. Call ahead, confirm all arrangements, and be sure your client is ready to deal with the topic at hand. Or, it may be that a relationship with a client or colleague based at a distant point may tell you about a snag that has recently surfaced that you will need to fix. Take a look at the list of items I wrote concerning the ninth house – this is where things are reaching a final point but that will encounter a problem or two for you to untangle.
You are a highly imaginative, innovative sign, so I am not worried about you fixing these points when they come up.
You have one day I would like you to put a star on, March 28, when Venus and Uranus will conjoin. This will be the only time this month that Uranus, your ruler, contacts another planet. I feel you will enjoy this day because it will likely be filled with delicious spontaneity and carefree fun.
Summary
You are not a sign that usually likes to spend a lot of time thinking about strategizing, or negotiating your financial picture, but that seems to be on the agenda at the full moon, March 1 and a new moon, March 17. Both will be remarkably friendly and supportive. In fact, these two moons will get my vote for the best of 2018 for settling financial matters.
On the full moon that will appear on the very first day, March 1 (plus or minus four days), you might be negotiating a benefit package for a new position you have been recently discussing with a company. This full moon is as sweet as sugar and will work hard to get you what you feel you deserve.
The new moon of March 17 is so beneficial that it would be a shame not to ask for a substantial raise – it looks like you will get it. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and outstanding luck, will support this full moon in your house of salary and profit from your tenth house of fame and honors. Not only is an increase of income likely for you, but also a wonderful new prestigious title too, complete with more responsibility and enviable perks. These two full moons will be the very best ones of 2018 for you to see more money and company benefits.
This year, 2018, will certainly go down as a banner year for exceptional career advancement – one of your best. So it is logical that this month you might be opening talks, with a final announcement of your new career victory in the media coming later in the month or in mid-May. May will be a huge month for your professional interests, but for now, this month will center mainly on your compensation. It may be that you are getting very close to grasping a new position.
Good fortune Jupiter and powerhouse Pluto are in what is called as sextile, so an impressive financial opportunity could come up soon. These planets are cooking up a considerable financial growth opportunity – and this strongly suggests you can find accord on a number of company perks.
If you say that you are not looking at a new job, and not discussing company perks, you may be talking to an insurance company about a large claim you sent in, or a student financial aid package that you applied for recently, as two examples of funds stemming from other people or entities. Within four days of March 1, these types of financial matters will likely be settled.
If you are in the process of dividing assets at the end of a marriage or closing of a business, or working on the details of an inheritance, things will finalize in the first week. Full moons have an area of influence of four days, so during one of those days you are likely to hear financial news that will increase your long-term security.
In terms of romance and fun, Mars’ tour of Sagittarius has been a boon to your social life, a trend that started January 26, and will continue through March 17. Circulate in the first half of March, your best time to enjoy a carefree time to balance the strong emphasis on money, power, and the additional career responsibility you will soon take on in March or May.
After March 17, Mars will enter Capricorn and give you a chance to go off radar to plot your coming weeks in private. You have an exciting time due when Mars will be in Aquarius from May 15 through November 15, and you will want to be rested and ready for that period by listing the initiations you hope to make during that time.
This is a usually long period to have Mars in Aquarius. (A more typical tour of Mars is 7 weeks, not 6 months.) The reason Mars will spend so much time in Aquarius this year is that Mars will retrograde in the middle months of the year, June 26 to August 27, and that will not be the right time to launch anything of major importance. Mars is the planet that helps you excel in competitive situations, but when retrograde, Mars withholds his greatest powers. July and August will be a time to think and challenge assumptions, and also to take time to lovingly polish projects to a high point.
Distant travel and/or international relationships will be the center of your thinking at the full moon, March 31, the second full moon of March, often referred to as a blue moon. Saturn will be in hard angle to both the Sun and new moon, making travel arduous for you. Don’t schedule a trip if you can help it, for this full moon will bring challenges. Also, Mercury is will be retrograde March 22 to April 15, adding to the difficulties.
Under what can only be described as heavy cloud cover at month’s end, if you hit the road, you may find the entire reason for your trip to be negated, and you won’t be able to make progress despite your best efforts. Instead, at this full moon, March 31, it is time to reflect, and to retrace your steps to ascertain that all facts and projections stated in your work are accurate.
After March 22, reconnect with people from your past in all areas of your life. You will be able to show your appreciation to those friends, family, and colleagues for their unwavering support of you.
