The Sun has rotated as far away from Libra as is possible, so April is always your winter month. It’s hard for you to feel the Sun’s warmth, so instead, you will need to partner up with another person to get progress and to feel the emotional support you crave at this time of the year. Yet this month, as you begin, your partner seems to be critical of you. The full moon, March 31, set up a disagreement with a partner (or a soon-to-be ex) over a home or property matter.

You’ve been nearly obsessed with your home for months, especially last December, or focused on family members. This month, however, you seem not to see eye-to-eye with your spouse, steady lover, or with someone whom you are collaborating, such as your real estate broker, architect, or decorator. Alternatively, it may be that family members are not getting along with you or your partner.

As a Libra, you love to work in twosome collaborations, and you are very talented at doing so. In the first few days, you may find that listening to others’ opinions is not easy to do. The part that concerns me is that Saturn and Mars, both in Capricorn in your home sector, will be throwing angry looks at both the Sun in Aries on one side of your chart, and the full moon in Libra 11 degrees on the other.

With a full moon in Libra March 31, you are likely to feel this full moon directly and emotionally, especially if your birthday falls on October 4, plus or minus four days. You may also feel this full moon if you have Libra rising 11 degrees or the natal moon in Libra or Capricorn 11 degrees, in all cases, plus or minus four degrees.

In early April, Mars will be close enough to taunt Uranus, but you eventually might get some sort outburst from a partner or from an older family member. Saturn will work hard to try to keep tempers cool and calm, but you have to see how things go. That person will come in the form of an older person in authority. If you are trying to form a serious relationship, I feel you need six months before you can work out the kinks that will come up now – take your time. You may disagree, but I will say that this new moon is not entirely friendly. Taking more time to get to know the other person, especially in business, might be worthwhile.

Mercury is currently retrograde, a trend that started March 22, and that will continue until April 15. (Don’t start to act immediately after Mercury turns direct, because Mercury emits his most scrambled messages at the front and end point of his retrograde.) This time Mercury will retrograde in your committed partnership sector, so you may misunderstand your spouse, your business partner, or people with whom you collaborate, like your writing partner, agent, manager, or publicist. Nothing is easy when Mercury is retrograde in your opposite sign of Aries, so fortunately, you only have a short time to wait until things improve.

I do have to flag a certain day, April 2, when Mars and Saturn will be conjunct in Capricorn. This is a classic aspect that can bring injury through falls if you don’t look where you are going. The most vulnerable part of you will be your knees, other bones, and teeth. They say that 80 percent of all mishaps happen at home simply because we are there so much, but this time you really do have to keep walkways well lit and small toys out of the way.

All month, Jupiter will be in ideal angle to Pluto, and these are both powerhouse financial planets that can create massive change and improvements in your finances. In many ways, this glorious aspect may be the key to your chart in April – are you working on your house to improve it or decorate it, or are you buying a new house or condo? If you are young, perhaps you are renting and fixing up your first apartment.

    On April 23, Mars will be in ideal angle to lucky Jupiter. Mars will tour your home sector, and Jupiter will be in your sector of money. This is my favorite day for you to focus on improving your home and lifestyle.

Property renovations are favored too, whether you do them for your main residence, your country house, or other property you might own and manage. If you want to improve the beauty of your property outside your home, you might want to hire a landscape artist this month, or better yet, in May or early June.

Jupiter and Pluto are rarely in conversation, but will be this year until September 12, when they will make their last spectacular conjunction. I suggest you buy your house or begin work on one you have now during the last week in April, in May, or the first three weeks of June. With Jupiter in your personal wealth sector, and Pluto in your home sector, you have an outstanding opportunity to make your home your castle – and see it appreciate in value with the work you put into it.

The new moon April 15 in Aries, your opposite sign, 26 degrees, will open possibilities to formalize a serious collaboration in business. Or, you may join forces in love, through engagement or marriage. If you are already married, you can revitalize your relationship through this once-a-year new moon in Aries, 26 degrees. You may decide to make more of your marriage by traveling, opening a business together, or moving.

I am not sure what Uranus in precise conjunction to that Sun and new moon will be like for you this month. Uranus is the planet of unpredictable, rebellious behavior, so if your partner in love or business starts acting odd, you will know why. Actually though, with Uranus, you never know which way things will go – you might be thrilled, for Uranus is, after all, the planet of surprise, or deeply dismayed. Be ready for anything.

Pluto will again be prominent at the new moon in Aries on April 15, and will be in hard angle to the Sun and new moon. Your family might not get along with your partner this month (or if they never liked him or her, things will become very obvious). Pluto usually comes in the form of a pushy person in authority – a contractor, a family member, a roommate – you probably already know the identity of this person.

The month will end with a full moon, April 29 in Scorpio 10 degrees, in your financial second house of salary and other earned income. Finally, this is a full moon you will want to cheer about! You may be paying bills, purchasing something expensive that you longed to buy, see a check come in that you’ve been waiting to receive, or investing money in your home. (Your chart is seems to be saying the word house over and over, and your house would likely be a good place to invest money so you can appreciate its value – ask your broker for an opinion.) If you asked for a raise, here comes the answer. If you are interviewing for a job, you will settle the cost of the salary now.

On April 23, Mars will be in ideal angle to lucky Jupiter. Mars will tour your home sector, and Jupiter will be in your sector of money. This is my favorite day for you to focus on improving your home and lifestyle. This would also be a great day to close on a new house, or finish up an important business deal. Profits will flow to you.

If you open a savings account or a retirement account, do so at month’s end, on April 29, when Saturn will be in ideal angle to the mighty Sun in your eighth house of other people’s money, a good place for the Sun to be for these purposes. You are likely to keep contributing to your nest egg and not give up!

If you were decorating your home, put a circle around Thursday, April 12, when Venus and her lover Mars will be in sync. That would be a dazzling day to find some beautiful options. Mercury will still be retrograde, but perhaps you can put a deposit down to hold that item if you find it in an antique store or small shop. (Planets in Capricorn, so busy in your home sector, rules antiques and landmark, beautiful, old buildings!) Wait a week before you pick up your item, and reflect on the possible purchase. If it fits into your decor, then go get it.

Venus rules Libra, so we always look to see what Venus is doing, and the condition she is in, to discern where your mind will be, and how your days will be going along. Most of the month, Venus will be in Taurus in your house of other people’s money – another reason you may want to review your reserves and see how things are going. You might as well study your recurring payments to see if any are not offering value any longer and delete those.

Once Venus leaves Taurus and enters air-sign Gemini on April 24, you will be in your element. Venus will have you thinking about travel, and although you may not go away immediately, you certainly will think up good ideas now of a place that would hit the spot. It seems to be a place very far from home, possibly to a foreign country. The full moon at the end of next month, May 29, or the new moon (even better) on June 13, may be when you may simply say you must spontaneously fly away on a fun vacation. That June 13 new moon will be just made for seeing the world with an adventurous spirit.

You begin the month leaning on your diplomatic skills, for the full moon will appear in Libra on March 31 and be influential for several of the first days of April. It appears you will not be on the same page with your partner over a matter involving your home or other property you may own or rent. Or, you may not agree on how to best help an aging parent. There are many possibilities – if your family never got along with your partner, things will come to a boil in early month. Clearly your mind is focused strongly on your partner and your own feelings, and it looks like you are anxious to move forward, but you may have to cool your jets. With Saturn conjunct Mars as the month opens, you will have no choice but to slow down and rethink your plan.

This impasse won’t last long, so have patience. It may be a blessing that you can’t put actions into play immediately anyway, for Mercury will still be retrograde, a holdover from last month that started March 22, and will last until April 15. Mercury will retrograde in Aries, indicating it is likely to be a partner holding up the works. If you say you and your mate / sweetheart are on the same page, then it may be that you disagree with your contractor, designer, architect, or other professional you hire for your home. With Uranus close to the Sun, you may find partners in general to be unpredictable.

Unusual circumstances abound when it comes to your partner or business collaborator, for at the new moon, April 15, you may open a new chapter with a present partner or make a commitment to a new partner in love or business. Home and property will still be on your mind, and if you need money to make your plans complete, you will find that banks and other lenders will be eager to give you the cash you need to get started.

Sometimes between the new moon of April 15 to April 18, when Uranus conjoins the Sun, your mate, steady date, or business collaborator may offer you an unusual idea that you find interesting (or horrifying) – you can never tell with Uranus!

The days that follow April 15 will be superb to seek funding for real estate purposes, or to help a family member, due to the rare, very powerful, and harmonious interplay of Jupiter and Pluto, two powerhouse financial planets.

April 23 will also be a superb day to schedule a real estate signing or closing, or to announce any plans for your future residence or other property. Mars will contact your ruler, Venus, in the most delightful way – this will be another big money day for you.

In a month that focuses you on money, you will have an important full moon, April 29, that will bring money in and out at the same time. If you haven’t written checks yet for those you owe, you will end the month with a clean slate and all bills paid. If you asked for a raise, the full moon in your second house of earned income will bring the answer – it looks like you’ll get a generous raise approved. If you are selling or buying property, you will make a decision now, and you will agree on a price you like.

Venus will move to Gemini, April 24, cause for celebration for you. Love will be on the docket from then until May 19. This move of your ruler to Gemini will also coax you to want to travel, and if you can, do. Late April and most of May will bring lots of fun on distant shores, and when Venus leaves Gemini, you will still have help. Mars will come in to start to make love fun next month while touring Aquarius – your favorite place for Mars to be. You may have lots of financial considerations in April, but all is well by month’s end when you can fly free and devote yourself entirely to love.
