An exciting new day is about to dawn in your career, coming as a result of the new moon April 5, which will light your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement. This new moon buzzes with vim and vigor, for Aries and its ruler, Mars, is a courageous, entrepreneurial sign that teaches you to assertively go after what you want—it is the only way to live.
There’s no doubt that your competitors have been active and visibly out and about, and they are still a concern. You have Saturn and Pluto in your seventh house of partnerships and adversaries, so your rivals are clearly not making life easy for you. Even though competition does sharpen the mind, I am sure you will say to the computer screen that you could happily live without your out-of-control rivals.
Mars will remain in Gemini all month, indicating you will be doing a lot of strategizing for your career, and that would be the right course of action in April. Try to take time for rest as well, for when Mars enters Cancer on May 15 to July 1, you will be moving at the speed of light and extremely busy. VIPs will listen to what you have to say, and finally, you will feel in the driver’s seat. You are preparing now for big moves at that time.
Returning to this month, on the new moon April 5, Saturn will be square (a challenging aspect) to the Sun and new moon, meaning you will face an obstacle and will have to be careful in your strategy. Your competitors appear to be desperate and intend to nip at your heels. With Pluto close to Saturn, your rivals are not likely to be entirely ethical in their tactics, but you seem to have known that truth for a while.
Saturn and Pluto are making you work harder than you have before, and you might pipe up this month and say something to management. It seems to have been too much. Pluto is known for being unfair when it is in tough aspect to the Sun (as you have now), so you might reach the point where you cannot endure any more pressure. You are doing a great job, and instead of pressuring you, they should be praising you. Alas, this situation will continue for a while, but as you’ll see as you read your April report, you will have a noticeable lessening of tensions this month, and you will know why in a minute.
If you don’t work because you are home with little children or are not concerned about competitors for other reasons, you may be concerned about your partner’s situation in life. Instead of having solid help from your current partner (or your ex), the tables seem to have turned, and he or she is receiving support from you. That is putting a lot of strain on you, both at work and at home. You appear to be under terrible pressure at work, for Saturn, the taskmaster planet, is 180 degrees from the transiting Sun and may be exactly opposite your natal Sun if your birthday is on or near July 12. Cancers whose birthdays fall earlier than July 12 have already felt the direct rays from Saturn, and those born later than July 12 will feel this now—if your birthday falls, say, July 17 or later, you will feel Saturn more in 2020.
Romantically, you will enjoy the first three weeks of April the most, for Venus will be in Pisces at that time, a soft and lovely water sign like yours, from April 1 to April 20.
Saturn will go retrograde this month on April 29 until September 18 and will be weakened during that time, which is good news—Saturn won’t be able to press on you so harshly. It’s true that Saturn will go backward to earlier degrees, but he will be in a diminished state for the next five months.
Pluto will go retrograde too, from April 24 to October 2, 2019, and in the same fashion, Pluto will lose some of his teeth, so life should be a bit softer, both at work and at home.
Jupiter will also go retrograde on April 10, and while he will be less powerful, Jupiter is the good fortune planet, and he can never afflict you. Jupiter will go direct on August 11.
Don’t assume that when these outer planets retrograde (Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto), it’s just like when Mercury, Venus, or Mars retrograde. It is not, for the effects are very different. We feel the backward slides of Mercury, Venus, and Mars much more than the retrogrades of outer planets because they orbit closer to earth. When Saturn or Pluto retrograde, they remain retrograde for many months, and this mutes their effect. Mars and Venus won’t retrograde at all in 2019, but Mercury, which retrogrades three times a year for three-and-a-half weeks, will retrograde almost all of July and most of November.
Coming back to April, the planets that are in your seventh house of committed partnership and competitors—Saturn and Pluto—will send sweet vibrations to a trio of planets that are orbiting close and cozy in your ninth house: Mercury, Venus, and Neptune. Your ninth house will bring you good news from foreign people and with companies that have their main headquarters overseas. You will also have help from the media (publishing and broadcasting, including the Internet), whether you work in the media, find that you will be the subject of excellent media publicity, or both. You might also have help regarding academia, legal cases, and all topics related to immigration. Look at these areas, for this is where you will receive support. Which area is most likely to be meaningful for you?
If you take a trip on April 9 with Venus and Neptune aligned, you will have the most romantic and glamorous time. It’s a very special day for travel.
One of the best three days of the month to make a name for yourself in your career will span from Friday, April 12, to Sunday, April 14, when Jupiter will send golden beams directly to the Sun. Jupiter is in your workaday projects sector (sixth house), and the Sun is in your fame, honors, and achievement sector (your prestigious tenth house). You’ll find your hard work will add up to quite a successful result during these days. You may earn a promotion or elevation in your career. Schedule an important interview on Friday, April 12—the transiting moon will be in Cancer and favor you, and so will Jupiter (luck) and the Sun (authority). I am not saying scoring a success will be exactly easy on this day, but with an ace in your pocket, you can prevail.
If you have had concerns about your health, this same aspect over April 12-14 might bring good news that you’re getting better.
Your home life or family will need all your attention at the April 19 full moon in Libra, at 29 degrees. This full moon is mixed in outlook, but it has a jarring element to it—Uranus. The planet of all things completely unexpected will be directly opposed to the full moon in your home sector and conjunct the Sun, affecting your money. To say both areas of your life—home and career—will scream for your attention is an understatement. You will first want to direct your attention to your home and family near April 19, but all along, you will need to keep your wits about you. Your sign’s ruler is the moon, so you will feel the wild volatility of Uranus at that time directly, especially if your birthday falls on or near July 20-22.
With Uranus conjunct the Sun, unexpected developments are coming involving your finances, but things could go either way—either you will need to write a large check, or you will receive one. With Uranus you never know, so let’s hope for good news.
You will have help from Jupiter on the work front, for Jupiter will be in a good position to send aid. Jupiter will be within five degrees of a perfect trine of harmony. The commotion at work might relate to a job coming through that you worked hard to secure, and you’ll be happy about that, but you will have to shepherd things to victory to be sure all goes well. This won’t be easy at the time of the full moon, April 19, because your home will bring something to the surface that you will have to address. Note that all full moons are operative for plus or minus four days.
At nearly the same time, Venus will start to glow at the very top of your horoscope wheel when it enters Aries from April 20 to May 15, a glorious phase for your career. Venus will be in your prestigious tenth house of career advancement when your ideas will be more accepted, and when demands from VIPs will start to fade, most likely because you will be doing well. You might find this news ironic, considering how much intense pressure management had put on you in recent months. Not only will higher-ups in your company be enthusiastic about you, but people in your industry will think highly of you as well and say so.
Romantically, you will enjoy the first three weeks of April the most, for Venus will be in Pisces at that time, a soft and lovely water sign like yours, from April 1 to April 20. Put a big circle around Tuesday, April 9, when Venus and Neptune align for an enchanting evening with someone special. If you have a vacation planned for this time, you will have a heavenly experience—go to a place near water, and you will be in your element.
Watch for exciting news on April 22, when Uranus and the Sun conjoin in Taurus in your eleventh house of friendship, and you will be showered with a surprising, fun social activity and feel cared for by your friends. It will be a special day, so enjoy it to the fullest.
SUMMARY
You will be determined to make progress in your career this month, and to that end, the universe will help you. The new moon of April 5 will increase your drive, and you will need that energy, for judging from the positions of Saturn and Pluto, you are facing some fierce competition from those on the outside who want to steal a portion of your business. You may also have internal competition—someone within your company could take credit for your work. Pluto’s position suggests these foes may be using unfair, desperate tactics. Fortunately, you will be able to see your competitor’s antics, for they will be operating out in the open. Stay alert, and you will soon detect a pattern to their tactics.
During all of April and the first half of May, Mars will urge you to do research and strategize about your current job situation. Don’t let the pathetic antics of your competitors depress or distract you from your quest. Keep working with good concentration, for Jupiter will be your secret ace—this planet of good fortune will signal the Sun and new moon on April 5 and the days that follow it. As you draw nearer to April 14, the date that Jupiter and the Sun will align, you are likely to make a breakthrough of your own. The Sun, as I said, is connected to your income, so even if you do have to spend money to make money, it appears that near April 14, money will come in and you will have a surplus.
In your personal life, if you are attached, you may be concerned about the welfare of your partner, for that person could be going through a rough patch. On the other hand, you may feel your partner is too demanding and domineering (and from where I sit, I can’t tell which would apply to you). It seems to be one instance or the other, in the extreme. Should you feel any tension or frustration, you have reason to hope. Give that person a little space to see if the situation calms down—it might. Venus, Neptune, and Mercury are all working to support your relationship if you love your partner and want to keep your alliance strong. You might realize this is a phase your partner is going through, brought on by a challenging life event.
Your home or family will be the subject of your attention at the full moon, April 19. Uranus, the planet that brings life’s unpredictable events, will conjunct the Sun and oppose the moon, so you may suddenly have to attend to a family member’s needs. Alternatively, your house or apartment may bring up a situation that you will have to address swiftly.
The moon is Cancer’s ruler, so you will need to stay on your toes near the full moon April 19, so keep an open schedule, not overly packed. The Sun is the natural ruler of your financial second house, so you may have to write a check to fix whatever comes up. As you see, money goes out, but money also comes in, so stay calm.
If you are single and looking for love, you’re in luck, for Venus will be in Pisces, a perfect place for you to host Venus, from last month, March 26 to April 20. During that time, make it a point to circulate, since your magnetism will be sky high. Of all nights this month, April 9 will be the most bewitching, with Venus aligned with Neptune—a gloriously glamorous vibration you will love. April 9 falls on a Tuesday, but plan to be out and about after work anyway—this day dazzles brightly.
When it comes to an exciting time with friends, you can circle April 22, when Uranus and the Sun will align. Surprises are coming to you from heaven, so put on one of your favorite outfits and go to work with a smile, for the evening may hold more serendipity than you ever could imagine.
