However, have you heard of a patch that suddenly makes an already notoriously
difficult game that much more difficult? Because that's exactly what happened
with the original Hollow Knight following its free PlayStation 5 upgrade.

For years, Hollow Knight had an "invincibility" glitch that went unpatched.
It made the game a lot easier, and took the Platinum Trophy from "Impossible"
to "Mostly Possible." However, via the Update 1.03 patch, it's now seemingly
gone, according to multiple users.

"Good thing I was able to get the Platinum with the glitch before this," one
user wrote. "The mere idea of having to fight Markoth with that god awful
idea is enough to give me an aneurysm."

Where things get particularly funny, is the self-described difficulty rating
moving from a 9 to a full 10, as more and more people found out that the
glitch no longer exists.
